FIRST WEEK OF BUSINESS INTERVIEWS
Last August 30, Jessa, Francen, Angel, and I, interviewed 5 business owners. Each of them has different businesses. Before we started the interview, we asked them for their permission to let us take a video for documentation purposes. Some of them agreed, but some of them told us not to take a video and just let us take a voice recording. We made some questions for them to answer based on all the business itself.
1. N JESS GENERAL MERCHANDISE
Miss Carmela Barton owns N Jess General Merchandise, a hardware store located at Zone 12 Upper Carmen, Door 3 LACAR Bldg. Her business started in 2015. They were also selling wholesale products of soft drinks and beers before, but the business went down as one of their staff members failed to do his/her job. Moreover, before the N Jess General Merchandise established, they were only selling nail hardware. The money they made from selling these nails was the one they used to start this business. Also, with the help of her father, who was an OFW before. They built this business so that her father does not need to go abroad anymore. Miss Barton also said that this serves as a retirement plan for her father. Moreover, we asked them about the first process they made before creating this business.
Miss Barton said that the first thing they did was to find a place, then the location, and lastly, to find suppliers. They have an estimated total of 17 staff working for them, especially since their business requires manpower. Their business also deals with partner contractors, where contractors, engineers, etc. will ask for their supplies. Furthermore, they also encounter a downfall where the sales are not that high, but nevertheless they are still able to pay for things they need to pay.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. HAPPY SIP
Happy Sip is owned by Ms. Rema Hasan and Ms. Merlyn Hasan, sisters who decided to start a business together. It is located in Zone 12, Upper Carmen, near the multicab terminal. This business, owned by the sisters, is a franchise store, with the main branch located in Manila. Happy Sip primarily focuses on selling milk tea, but the sisters decided to expand the menu, and now they also sell coffee and snacks like fries, siomai, and more. They started this business on March 5 of this year.
The business is solely managed by Ms. Rema and her mother, with no partnerships with other companies. Before Happy Sip started, Ms. Hasan's mother ran a business selling second-hand clothes (ukay-ukay), but sales declined. This decline prompted the Hasan sisters to create a separate business to generate additional income.
Regarding the process of starting the business, Ms. Rema explained that the first step they took was contacting the franchise. After receiving approval, they then made arrangements with the supplier for their products. However, Ms. Rema noted that one of the challenges they face is managing inventory, as they need to request supplies from Manila, which can take time to arrive.
Additionally, Ms. Rema mentioned that sales are not as high as they would like, which she anticipated because their products are not essential goods. She compared it to rice, a basic necessity that people need regularly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3. AJ WATER REFILLING STATION
The third one is the AJ Water Refilling Station, this business is owned by Mrs. Leonor Jamito and located at Zone 12-C UZLAI. The business started operating on June 28, 2024. Their business also has no partnerships with other companies and is just solely managed by them. There are only 3 people who are working in their store, which is their family member. We asked about how the business was going, and she told us that they needed to be patient because there are times when sales are high and also sometimes they're low.
Mrs. Jamito's reason as to why she created this business is because she wants to leave something for her children, and this is their business. She said that she wanted her children to have this business because we do not know how long we will still be in this world. Furthermore, Mrs. Jamito's first step before diving into this business is to save money because she knows that they need a large amount of capital to build this business.
..............................................................................................................................
4. JASMINE GARDEN
The fourth one is the Jasmine Garden, which is owned by Mrs. Amelita Dap-og. She started selling since 1992, up to this day. However, during that time she said that she was only selling a small amount of flowers or that there were not that many variations of the flowers she was selling. Her store is located in Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City. There were no partnerships involved from other companies; she and her family are solely managing the business. Additionally, there are 3 staff working on her business, which are just her family members, the husband, Alejandro Dap-og, and her son, Staline Dap-og.
Mrs. Dap-og is not just focusing on selling varieties of flowers; they also cater to landscaping. They joined a lot of floral displays, such as festivals, for example, this Higalaay Festival. They were invited from the LGU to display their florals in Gaston Park also for the beautification of the place. Moreover, they have participated in contests and won some prizes, specifically "Best in Flowering" and "Best in Bonsai Plant." Furthermore, in order for them to have their business displayed, they are required to submit their business permit.
================================================
5. AQUARIST FISH SHOP
Our last stop is AQUARIST AQUARIUM FISHSHOP, owned by Mrs. Devenia Socorro M. Chua, located on Rizal Fernandez Streets, Brgy 1. The store was built in 2010, but the business has been operating since 1993. The owner manages the business herself, with no partnerships involved. There are three people working in the business: Mrs. Chua, her husband, and their son.
The business primarily sells different types of fish, although they have expanded to include other animals and pets. They also sell aquarium accessories and fish food. The business was created to generate extra income, and also because her husband has a passion for fish and enjoys keeping various kinds.
To start the business, they invested in setting up aquariums to house the fish. Mrs. Chua mentioned that their first step was to find a reliable supplier who could provide them with a steady supply of products over the long term.
Submitter's Note: A note of context; whilst in America/Europe, Nerdcore is a term associated with Rap/Hip Hop with lyrics that reference "nerdy" interests, within Japanese indie/doujin music, it refers to a broad movement of independent music of varying electronica genres that often sampled, bootlegged, remixed, or was otherwise associated with some form of media. The term also predates its American/European use, dating back to at least the 90s. Some of the musicians featured on this compilation are veterans of the scene/movement, and have been producing songs since its rough inception.
Berkeley Innovation Index Test 📇
I always say to myself that I don't see taking the path on having a business because simply I don't like it. No other reason, no other bases, not at all but I do appreciate other people who indulge themselves in this kind of business. Since we are in the technology era, a lot of innovation has been introduced to solve people's problems. But when a technopreneurship course was introduced to me, our instructor told us to take a test in which you will know how innovative your mind is. The test is called the Berkeley Innovation Index Test, in which it helps me somehow to understand why I don't like involving myself in this kind of path.
As you can see in the picture attached, it is the result after I take the Berkeley Innovation test. The overall score I got was 66.94 out 100 indicating that my innovation mindset is not fixed. In regards to the analysis of each component from the test, the result are the following along with my insights:
TRUST the score I got is 63.33. I realize that it is so hard for me to trust other people when it comes to their integrity and action . I always think that the motive for approaching me is not genuine and there is a bad intention. That they approached me not because they wanted to know who I am but to use me for their benefits. In business it is not a good way of thinking because you have to trust your people as they are the ones who worked for you and the information about your business will be shared with them. If there is a doubt inside you, how will you work peacefully?
RESILIENCE the score I got is 85.0. It shows that I am taking failure as opportunities and I don`t just give up just because I'm having that kind of challenge. That I always see success in any problem I encounter. And that understanding and accepting failure as part in my personal and professional growth. That in every failure I will have in my journey there is always learning that I will use for me to grow and be better in both aspects in my life.
The score I got in DIVERSITY is 75.0. I always interact with other people no matter what personality they have. I always listen to what`s on their mind; ideas and opinions on a specific topic. Because I believe that the information you can get from them can help you to have more understanding and ideas. Also more diverse people can create a big network and connection.
BELIEF the score I got is 78.0. I somehow believe one`s idea and abilities since it's their right to share what they have. It's just that I am that kind of person that sometimes I doubt them especially if I can see that the idea they have is not inline to what the topic is talking about. Also for myself, I always have that doubt if I can do that task in which I'm the one leading. Even Though I accept failure, I cannot erase the fear of failing. And maybe that is one of the factors I cannot see myself starting a business because my belief will be overcome by fear.
The score I got in ALLOCATION is 85.0. It indicates that somehow I know where the right time to find resources is. And maybe it is because of the connections I build by joining other groups and creating a connection with them. That allows me to get resources when I need to that would help my project or event.
In COLLABORATION the score I got is 67.5. I am a person who likes to collaborate with other people but sometimes there is a restriction I have in myself especially if I am not comfortable. I like to have a forum with other people because it enables me to share my ideas and opinions on a given topic. But sometimes belonging to a wide group makes me shy because I also don't like talking with a lot of people. It makes me nervous and uncomfortable, which leads me to keep quiet and becomes a barrier for me to socialize more with other people. One of the reasons why my score in the COMFORT ZONE is 61.67.
In terms of INNOVATION ZONE the score I got is 20.0. Which I already expected because I'm not that kind of person who likes to innovate. I don't have that set of ideas where it can innovate things. The reasons why I don't really see myself in a business world. I may be good in some attitudes that an entrepreneur has but when it comes to this aspect, I cannot guarantee that I will do well. I can take risks but I have limitations that I follow.
back at it again with more d20 stats
this time we're talking intrepid heroes seating arrangements. disclaimer: i'm not doing this for guests because all of these rely on consistency and patterns.
sequel seasons are counted separately, to make the total number of seasons seven.
table format:
i organized this by assigning numbers to the seats at the table, formatted like so:
L or R for left or right side of the table from the dm's perspective
number indicates distance from the dm. the higher the number the further you are towards the point of the triangle.
thus, the full seating chart is below:
most common player per seat:
L1: tie between emily axford and zac oyama: 2/7
L2: tie between emily axford and zac oyama: 2/7
L3: lou wilson: 3/7
R3: siobhan thompson: 3/7
R2: brian murphy: 3/7
R1: brian murphy: 3/7
you may ask, why doesn't ally have a most common seat? well my friend, they often occupy seats that murph does, and he sits in them more than they do.
player side preference:
this refers to the side of the table the players most often sit. this will also include distance from the dm.
murph leans hard right: 6/7 seasons on the right, close to the dm (3R1, 3R2, 1L2)
ally follows close behind with 5/7 seasons on the right, generally the 1 or 2 spot (2R1, 2R2, 1R3, 1L1, 1L2)
emily leans left: 5/7 seasons, generally in seat 1/2, much like ally. she's been moving steadily to the right with each new ih world (2L1, 2L2, 1L3, 1R2, 1R1)
zac also leans left: 5/7 seasons, but is closer to a middle split than emily (2L1, 2L2, 1L3, 1R3, 1R1)
siobhan started right and is moving left, but is often in the back: 4/7 left (3R3, 2L3, 1L2, 1L1)
lou has the same back lean that siobhan does, and same left: 4/7 (3L3, 2R3, 1R2, 1L1)
player combinations:
for the purposes of this, L3 & R3 are functionally both next to and across the table pairs. in some cases this will look a little weird. numbers may also be skewed by the number of times someone sits on an end seat (L1 & R1). this is the full list for everyone, so there are repeated numbers.
emily axford:
next to:
zac oyama (4/7)
brian murphy (3/7)
lou wilson (2/7)
siobhan thompson (1/7)
ally beardsley (1/7)
across the table:
brian murphy (4/7)
siobhan thompson (3/7)
zac oyama:
next to:
emily axford (4/7)
siobhan thompson:
next to:
lou wilson (6/7)
zac oyama (3/7)
brian murphy (2/7)
emily axford (1/7)
ally beardsley (1/7)
across the table:
lou wilson (4/7)
emily axford (3/7)
lou wilson:
next to:
siobhan thompson (6/7)
zac oyama (2/7)
emily axford (2/7)
ally beardsley (2/7)
across the table:
siobhan thompson (4/7)
brian murphy (2/7)
zac oyama (1/7)
ally beardsley:
next to:
brian murphy (5/7)
lou wilson (2/7)
zac oyama (1/7)
emily axford (1/7)
siobhan thompson (1/7)
across the table:
zac oyama (6/7)
brian murphy (1/7)
brian murphy:
next to:
ally beardsley (5/7)
emily axford (3/7)
siobhan thompson (2/7)
zac oyama (1/7)
across the table:
emily axford (4/7)
lou wilson (2/7)
ally beardsley (1/7)
placement around the table offers an eye into player dynamics, mostly in terms of player synergy and dm-player communication.
being next to someone gives good opportunities for communication--the players can collaborate and discuss options in a way that they can't necessarily do with the people who sit further away. also very funny opportunities for space work and joint bits.
being directly across from someone lets you read their face easily and tends to have strong character interactions. also deep bit potential that someone next to you might not catch. some examples: 'i can see my dick!' from tuc, the hairy baby gag and every sofie-kug interaction, kingston and misty, barry and gunnie, fig and riz, margaret and skip, jet and ruby, saccharine and ruby, theo and amethar, liam and lapin, sidney and riva, pib and pinocchio, ylfa and rosamund.
this obviously isn't exclusive. a lot of the funniest moments come from interactions across the table that aren't in the pure combinations.
seat archetypes:
this is a little more opinion from me, but here's my general impression of the characters (not players) that end up in each seat. this obviously isn't a hard and fast rule, but more vague in their application.
L1: you're in for some nonsense buddy. lots of personal change, realizing who you are and what that means after one major change in your life. arcs vary in how prominent they are, but by god you're going to get some bits out of it. lots of mixed martial-magic.
fig faeth
ricky matsui
liam wilhelmina
gunnie miggles-rashbax
rosamund du prix
L2: reliable energy. their arc isn't always most prominent, but their development is strong and they're steady throughout. sometimes holding the key to saving the world in their hands. even split of martial and magic.
gorgug thistlespring
sofia lee
theobald gumbar
riva
mother goose
L3: lowkey chosen one energy. their arcs get very involved with the overall adventure arc. pointing in the direction of plot movement, but also learning to connect/reconnect and care for others after being isolated. heavier on the full casters
adaine abernant
kingston brown
jet rocks
saccharina frostwhip
norman "skipper" takamori/skip
pinocchio
R3: the journey involves their sense of self and their place in the world. wearing a lot of masks and hiding your struggles only for it to come out violently. even split of martial and magic, heavy on rogues, bards, & sorcerers.
fabian aramais seacaster
misty moore/rowan berry
iga lisowski
ruby rocks
margaret encino
puss in boots (pib)
R2: recognizing the harm and wrongs done in your past and seeking to correct them by becoming more than who you used to be. also just some nonsense. absurdity built into the character concept. even split of martial and magic, with several mixed martial mages as well.
kristen applebees
kugrash
cody walsh
amethar rocks
sundry sidney
gerard of greenleigh
R1: pointing in the direction of plot movement. taking the power that is given to you and learning duty and responsibility from it. moving past loss and engaging with the world in a new way. also a bunch of bits. a little heavier on the martial than the magic.
riz gukgak
pete conlan
lapin cadbury
cumulous rocks
barry syx
ylfa snorgelsson
and that's it for now on thisisnotthenerd's d20 stats. tune in for the next thing i hyperfixate on. this one got long.
Week 7-8 Insights
1. Adtech Computer Sales & Services
Mr. Cuenca shared some of the challenges that the Adtech Repair Services faced. The business experiences fluctuation in the number of customers and sales, with high demand typically occurring in July and August and a decrease in September and October.
When it comes to laptop or computer repairs, Mr. Cuenca emphasized the importance of customer consent before opening any device, especially if it's under a manufacturer's warranty. Repairing a device from another store could void its warranty if the repair shop is not authorized, which is why obtaining the customer's approval is crucial.
He also mentioned that most of the printers he repairs are Epson models. He explained that while some repairs are manageable, others can be extremely time-consuming, and sometimes the effort isn't justified, as replacing certain models might be more efficient.
2. Zeemart Convenience Store
According to Ms. Patty, they encounter challenges with sales, experiencing low numbers during the mornings, while sales tend to be higher in the evenings. However, they also faced issues with customers fighting at night, which adds an extra layer of difficulty to their operations. Despite these challenges, they are planning to establish another store located in Jasaan.According to Ms. Patty, they encounter challenges with sales, experiencing low numbers during the mornings, while sales tend to be higher in the evenings. However, they also faced issues with customers fighting at night, which adds an extra layer of difficulty to their operations. Despite these challenges, they are planning to establish another store located in Jasaan.
3. PawsThru Pet Supplies
According to Ms. Angel and Mr. Julius, the ones we interviewed and in charge in the store, the problems they face include fluctuating sales, with some days experiencing low numbers while others are quite high. They also shared with us that, to improve their service, the staff needs to attend seminars to gain the knowledge and skills necessary for the store. Also, the reason why Ms. Marianne chose to start this business is because of her love for dogs, which drives her passion for providing quality pet supplies.
4. Loretta's Empanada
Ms. Dawn shared with us during our interview that the journey of Loretta's Empanada began with her grandmother, who started selling empanadas by bringing them to neighborhood gatherings. People enjoyed the treats and began requesting orders, which eventually led to the start of her grandmother's empanada business. This rich history fuels Ms. Dan’s passion for continuing the tradition and expanding the family legacy. And that also results in the logo that represents the face of her grandmother, honoring her legacy.
She also said that in her family, none of her relatives are interested in continuing the business due to the demanding nature of the work involved in making the empanadas, leaving her as the only one dedicated to it. She believes there is more potential in this business compared to their family’s other ventures, and she has also given ways to her siblings about their family business.
One of the challenges they face is managing supplies, as high demand often exceeds the limited space in their store. To mitigate this, they have implemented a pre-order system. Ms. Dan also mentioned that some customers perceive their empanadas, priced at 35 pesos, as a bit expensive. However, she explained that the ingredients and preparation processes are not easy, resulting in a profit margin of around 50%. And she said that their empanadas are priced to be accessible for everyone to try.
5. GadgetPro Repair Services
Mr. Arjo, the owner and the one we interviewed, said that the typical challenges they face include dealing with unsatisfied clients and complaints. He said these issues are normal and inevitable in any business, but especially in repairs, where not all device issues can be fixed. Some customers have high expectations due to the shop's visibility on Facebook, expecting that every problem with their devices can be fixed, which is not always possible.
He also shared with us that he chose this line of work because repairing devices is both his hobby and passion. The repair industry, he explained, is fast-paced and profitable, especially for those with the necessary skills and talent. Over the years, he also invested in time training his staff, helping them improve their repair skills and knowledge to better support the business and meet customer expectations.
Personality Test
Humans do not completely know themselves. They have not fully discovered their full potential and development as a person. Understanding one’s self on a deeper level will then allow one to fully grasp his or her potential, which is why it is important to know yourself. Nowadays, there are many ways to know yourself, and one of them is the 16Personalities. 16Personalities is a platform that is popular online that offers a test about one’s personality that is based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator framework also known as the MBTI. Taking it would really benefit a person’s well-being and growth.
Two years ago, I was intrigued about what MBTI test was. It was popular online, and a lot of people are talking about it. So as a curious person, I searched for it, read about it, and thought, why not try it? After taking the test, the result came out, and it was Adventurer Personality ISFP. While reading the result, I was shocked at how it describes and relates to me. Then now, I am tasked with taking the test again. I was just answering the question truthfully and based on what I really feel. I was surprised and shocked, too, that the result that came out was the same result that I had two years ago, Adventurer Personality ISFP.
As the result says, my personality type is Adventurer ISFP-T, and stated that “Adventurers are flexible and charming, always ready to explore and experience something new. They tend to have open minds, approaching life, new experiences, and people with grounded warmth.” This statement just gives me a gist of my personality and new realizations. Now for a deeper result;
My Energy is 58% Introverted, which means that I prefer fewer, but having deep and meaningful, social interaction with others, and am more drawn to calm environments, which is really true for me. I met a lot of people, but I only have a few close friends, and I’m the type of person who is more on peaceful, therapeutic, and calm places.
For the Mind, I am 57% Observant, which indicates that observant people are pragmatic and down-to-earth. They are focusing on what is happening or is very likely to happen. I, as a person, really think and concentrate on a certain situation about what is happening and what can happen.
As for Nature, it is 54% Feeling, which says that feeling individuals give value to emotional expression and sensitivity. They also place more importance on empathy, social harmony, and cooperation. This is one of the results that I really reflect on and think about because I am not that aware of these kinds of traits, as I was just understanding and paying more attention to the feelings and emotions of others than to myself, putting myself in someone’s shoes.
Next is Tactics, which is 61% Prospecting, says that these individuals are really good at improvising and adapting to opportunities and tend to be flexible nonconformists who value novelty and above stability. This is the trait that I was not entirely aware of and was not expecting because I’m not really good at improvising, but I can somehow able to adapt to opportunities, but not that much. So somehow, this trait is interesting for me to have.
And lastly is the Identity, which has 63% Turbulent. This implies that these individuals are self-conscious and sensitive to stress. They are also tend to feel a sense of urgency in their emotion and be success-driven, perfectionistic, and eager to improve. This trait helps me to fully understand myself. With all of the things that I faced, I was able to understand why I did those, why I chose this, why I act like that, and some other things. Knowing these things made me introduce myself more and my development and growth, and it made me who I am today.
Trying and taking this test was one of the things that made me realize a lot of things. Knowing that for the past two years, I still have the same personality speaks a lot about the fact that there are things and parts of me that did not change after facing a lot of challenges, failures, and successes. But there are also other sides of me that need to be improved, developed, worked on, and explored. And as Bob Dylan says, “I change during the course of a day. I wake and I’m one person, and when I go to sleep I know for certain I’m somebody else.”
Hoping that everyone can take the test and get to know yourself on a deeper level, so you can understand why you are you and go easy on yourself. And maybe you will get your answers to your whys, and maybe one of them is your purpose.
So as the 16 Personalities put it, “ISFPs want to live in a world where they – and everyone else – have the freedom to live as they see fit, without judgment.” : )
WRITTEN BELOW ARE MY INSIGHTS FOR THE FOURTH PART OF INTERVIEWS IN EACH BUSINESS
1. AdTech Computer Sales & Services
Mr. Cuenca, our interviewee, was very approachable, which made our interview go smoothly. We learned a lot from him about the business, including their challenges, sales patterns, and scope of work. One of the challenges they often face, particularly Mr. Cuenca, is customer complaints. Although complaints are quite common in this industry, they can still be challenging to handle. We also learned that their sales fluctuate depending on specific dates or seasons, with some periods experiencing very high sales and others being slower. Lastly, we discussed the scope of their work. Since the shop name highlights services, they also handle repairs. When I asked if they could repair printers, Mr. Cuenca said yes. I initially expected him to repair all types and brands of printers, but he explained that he prefers or specializes in fixing Epson printers, as they are easier to repair compared to Brother printers, which require more complex work.
2. ZEEMART CONVENIENCE STORE
Compared to our previous interview, which went smoothly, Ms. Salvaña, our interviewee, was very shy. In my opinion, she seemed curious about the reason for the interview. Since it’s a 24/7 convenience store, we asked her if there is a difference between their day and night sales, to which she said yes. She mentioned that their sales are higher at night than during the day. Based on the shop’s location, I agree that their night sales would be higher, as there is a bar across the street, which brings them more customers at night. Lastly, as I mentioned, they are a 24/7 convenience store, which led us to ask questions about the potential dangers of being open at night. She responded that sometimes drunk customers get into fights in front of the store. What makes it even more dangerous, in my opinion, is that there are no security guards at the store, so their security is limited. ----------------------------------------------------
3. PAWSTHRU PET SUPPLIES
During our interview with Ms. Angel and Mr. Julius, there were times we needed to pause when customers came in, which we understood. Both were very kind and approachable throughout the interview. Similar to previous interviews, Ms. Angel and Mr. Julius also mentioned that their sales fluctuate, with some periods being high and others low. Since they sell pet food and other pet products, we asked about the processes or requirements they need to meet before selling these types of products. They explained that they attended seminars and gained knowledge to sell these products responsibly. I believe this is essential because they are selling items that pets will consume; without proper knowledge, they could endanger the pets' health. Therefore, I applaud the initiative of Ms. Carreon, the owner, for ensuring her staff receives the proper training. ----------------------------------------------------
4. Loretta's Empanada
I think this was the most interesting interview we’ve had. At first, Ms. Dawn Dy was hesitant because she had previously been interviewed by other students who were very irresponsible, which she mentioned to us. However, as the interview progressed, it went smoothly. What made this interview particularly interesting was the business's history. It was started by her grandmother, Loretta, in 1960, hence the name of the store. The business has been passed down through generations for about 64 years. Ms. Dawn, the current owner, shared an interesting fact, she was the only one in the family with the courage to continue her grandmother’s legacy, as the empanada recipe is very challenging to make. I also watched several videos from vloggers promoting the store, especially the empanadas. We tried them ourselves and felt that our 35 pesos was well worth it. Ms. Dy is now facing a supply and demand challenge. Many people want to order their empanadas, but the time-consuming process and the effort required to gather ingredients make it difficult to keep up with demand. As a result, Ms. Dy encourages customers to pre-order so they can manage the time needed to prepare the empanadas. ----------------------------------------------------
5. GADGET PRO REPAIR SERVICES
Mr. Arjo, the owner, was very approachable and shared valuable insights about his business during the interview. The main challenge Mr. Arjo faces in his business is customer complaints. While complaints are common in any business, it’s not unusual for customers to express dissatisfaction with the results of their repairs. Mr. Arjo explained that, especially in repair work, customers are sometimes disappointed with the outcome. One reason for this is that the shop is well-known on online platforms, leading customers to have high expectations of their services. However, he noted that it’s not always possible to resolve every issue to the customer’s satisfaction. Mr. Arjo also explained why he chose this industry. Aside from his passion for repairs, he finds the repair industry fast-paced and profitable, particularly for those with the necessary skills for this type of work.
hi everyone. so there's this thing that i found out about this afternoon and decided to look into it more for the rest of it up until this evening. i'm probably gonna put the rest of my rambling under the cut just because.
ok hi hello!
i don't know shit about maimai, i've only seen a few gameplays, listened to some songs from it, and i know that it had a collab with arcaea twice, so there's that. but i think today was the first time i ever ventured into the maimai tag on twitter just to find something. a certain something i found out this afternoon.
so apparently...there's a new akira complex song that got added into the game???
yeah, for any of my followers who don't know, akira complex is the one who composed ether strike, mantis (feat. kiraku), lucid traveler (with 3R2(??? did i typed that right?), galactic warzone, etc etc. they sadly passed away june last year, though.
now here's the catch, this is a new song that got added. we have never heard of any mention of this song before, nor have we ever even seen this song in any other rhythm game. this is probably a song that composed before akira complex even passed away.
ether second is the name...ether? sounds familiar, right? apparently it seems to be a sequel to ether strike, probably one of akira complex's notable works from arcaea.
i think the part that hits me is just- how sudden this is. they decided to surprise us with this song like that. wow...
now i'm getting a little sad again......
when i heard the news of akira complex's passing, i was absolutely devastated. i was filled with so much grief for the past few days after that because they're one of my favorite composers. i was sad, to say the least.
and this, this somewhat makes me even more sad, but hey! ether second! cool, right?
i haven't listened to the song yet, i'll probably share my thoughts a little later after i make this post, but y'know lol.
this post is really messy actually- i thought that i had the sentences thought out already but then it all went blank the moment i type it out. but anyways yeah.
rest in peace, akira compex.
