Újra visszatérünk a Tengerentúlra, de most Kanadába! Kanadának egész komoly repülőgyártási történelme van, így a '70-es és '80-as évek fordulóján úgy döntöttek erről jól meg is emlékeznek, néhány tematikus hazai repülőgépes sorozattal. '79-82 közt négy éven át négy négytagú sorozatot jelentettek meg, sokmilliós példányszámban. Volt mindig egyfajta tematika, '79-ben hidroplánok, '80-ban a légierő gépei, '81-ben polgári gépek, '82-ben pedig kétéltűek kerültek a sorozatra. Az első három évben két 17 és két 35 centes bélyegből állt egy sor, '82-ben már 30 és 60 centes névértékek szerepeltek. A képen látható bélyeg a '81-es sorozatból való, és egy de Havilland Canada Dash 7-t ábrázol.

a de Havilland egy mai napig létező, és prosperáló repűlőgyár, főleg kisebb, és közepes turbólégcsavaros gépeket gyárt. A képen látható 7-es volt az elődje, a jelenleg is gyártásban levő, és igen nagy sikerű 8-as családnak. A Dash 7-et 13 évig gyártották, 1975-1988 között, összesen 113 készült belőle, melyből napjainkban 17 működik még folyamatos használatban, a világ különböző pontjain, és eltérő céllal, ebből a legérdekesebb a Brit Antarktisz Expedíció által használt példány, amit jellemzően ott használnak a hidegben. A többi nagyrésze természetesen Kanadában szolgál. Összehasonlításképp az utód Dash 8-asból 1.258-at adtak el eddig, és javában gyártásban van még, szóval lényegesen nagyobb siker lett mint elődje. Európában sok példánnyal rendelkezik belőle a norvég Videroe légitársaság, több kisebb méretben is, mivel kiválóan alkalmasak a messzi északi kisebb városok összeköttetésére.

Ebből a '81-es sorozatból rengeteg készült, a 17 centesekből 12,5 milliót nyomtak, a 35-ösökből 8,5 milliót, íme:

Értéke ennek megfelelően kb. nincs, komplett sorozatot 1-1,5 dollárért lehet beszerezni. Viszont cserébe szépek szerintem.

Krahka: "Onewa gets annoyed when I put 'quality craft materials' in my weird human junk pile. Like I'm supposed to know the difference between the 'good' paint and the 'bad' paint? It all tastes the same."

All my complaining convinced me to try workin on one of these again and i didnt do much but it was very satisfying ad easy so i feel less anxious that ive completely lost my painting ability so yaaaay

The differences between the F-35A and C variants, one of the most notable are the trailing edge control surfaces for the main horizontal wing. The A variant has a single “flaperon” which spans 90% of the trailing edge of each wing. In addition to controlling the roll or bank of the aircraft, as do conventional ailerons, both flaperons can be lowered together to reduce stall speed, similarly to a set of flaps. This is often done as a part of the weight minimization strategy. The C variant, in addition to having flaperons, has a set of ailerons that extend to the tip of the trailing edge. The larger surfaces allow for more precise control at slower speeds, such as the approach to a carrier. The F-35 has a system called Integrated Direct Lift Control (IDLC) that translates pilot stick commands into choreographed changes to engine power and control surface movement. It’s the wave of the future as it makes flying the aircraft much easier during traditionally high pilot workload flight regimes.
