#31f and cloudy

I’m exhausted. That’s how I feel.

I’ve been going back and forth to Iowa City every day. It’s an easy drive but doing it every day takes a lot out of me. David got another scan this morning, most of the blood in his brain is gone. They were supposed to transfer him out of intensive care into a regular bedroom but nothing has happened. They kept saying that they’re waiting for the patient in the bedroom to leave. The problem is that he can’t sleep because it’s so noisy. But regardless he’s supposed to be discharged tomorrow. Thank goodness.

Tomorrow I have to shop for groceries and plan meals. I already told my boss that I’m not going to work of course and hopefully will go on Thursday. David will stay at home for the remainder of the week and we’ll see how he feels on Monday.

Update: David just texted me and told me that he made it to his room. He has a roommate though. That’s unfortunate.

It’s supposed to snow next week. I hope it snows a lot that way I can get a snow day and get paid.

This morning we had a beautiful start of the morning, cold, but during the day it wasn’t as cold as yesterday.

Tomorrow we start our Winter Break at work so I worked yesterday and today until 4:30. The next couple of weeks I’m off and I don’t get paid. We did have a potluck, great food, too much food, very few people.

David and the boys got me an Apple Watch for Christmas, I was supposed to go pick it up at the ATT store yesterday but I was too busy as I had to buy the ingredients and then cook what I was going to take to the potluck so I went today after work. I looked up their time, it said they closed at 7pm. I got there at 5:30 and it was locked. I don’t understand. I’ll go back tomorrow.

We went got the turkey and ingredient for Christmas dinner tonight. We’ll be eating on Christmas Eve and it’ll be fun having the little man opening his presents.

Watching The Crown. Nothing better to watch right now and I’m getting tired of hallmark movies and dateline and 20/20.

Good news: stopped raining

Bad news: it’s so dark

Now I need lots of coffee.

Last night I went to bed and felt asleep at about 11:30. Woke up coughing a lot. Not sure why. Came down and slept on my recliner.

David had a temperature and has been coughing a lot. All this has happened after he took his covid booster.

Once I’m done with my coffee I have to get going, too much to do today and tomorrow.
