This is such a difficult question to answer, I can’t pick 😭 Pretty much every title that we watch or read or play has a bunch of characters that I adore drawing, but I guess I gravitate towards characters with long hair and unusual hairstyles or outfits?? I also feel the urge to try to draw a character when they are out of my comfort zone, which doesn’t mean that I always do it or good at it, but I always have fun drawing stuff in a different art style (like the guys from Scott Pilgrim),with complicated outfits (like Barok van Zieks) or with mechanic parts (like Ortho!)… but the last one is pretty recent, I just noticed that I kind of enjoy drawing it. I guess I love a challenge? In a way? It’s just more fun that way.

By my comfort type of character and a default option would be a gloomy boy/girl in a hoody, my heart is always smiling whenever I draw this type.

Examples of some of my faves throughout the years (without twst): Levi (SnK), Ainosuke (sk8), Killua (HxH), Shiroba (DMMD), Apollo Justice (AA), Geto (JJK)… this is just a few of them.

I also still think that Prussia from Hetalia is our ultimate boy because I’ve been drawing him for about 15 years now lol

I still giggle every time I think about how we ended up with poor Riddle being surrounded by busty girls, I swear it wasn’t intentional. But the more I think about it, the funnier and more Freudian it gets… what an aggressive way to heal mommy issues and an acute deficiency of tight hugs.

To answer your question, I think Riddle was kind of surprised when she saw Trey after being separated because she didn’t think boobs could get that big. Logically yes, it makes sense, but seeing it in person is different. Riddle always does her best to be proper and act like a lady, but I can imagine her eyes sliding down all the time during their first conversation. Trey would absolutely notice…

I get paid no less than $20/hr, some jobs are as much as $30/hr. Maybe half the time I get tips too!

Most classes/workshops are 2 hours, some are 3.

I just have to be quiet and still. The still part is more challenging when I’m under stimulated or my internal dialogue is particularly troubling, but often it’s all I can do just to make the necessary greetings and farewells.

I work at schools and art groups all over my metro area.

**I do not work anything close to full time. Sometimes 2 classes in one day, sometimes 2 in one month. I make No Effort to add hours; I just accept when I can. I receive A Lot of family support (ie a house with no rent) in order to live independently.**

BUT I am pretty happy with my quality of life. I don’t need a lot to be happy: autonomy, preferred foods, plenty of rest 🙏🏾

it's a wonderfully grand day today!!! it's THANKSGIVING!!!! happy thanksgiving to all who celebrate, though i was kinda in for a rude awakening with my family yelling at me across the room while i was just trying to get some extra sleep in and recover from my soreness . had to go both to church and to watch Moana 2 with them, which kinda left me frustrated overall... but once i got home, i saw that the all-new 3.8.0 update for vivid/stasis dropped, featuring a TON of new content that had been teased prior!!! there's the Phigros collab, the Apocalypse Call Event, and a ton of new content/UI updates... but the most important of all was the APOCALYPSE CHALLENGE event!!!

once you got 30,000 points in the Sunrise Showdown soundscan, you can access this challenge within Betweenspace... and wanting to experience the absolute Peak of difficulty (the 17) hidden within this chart, i dove straight into the ENC challenge... which i ended up clearing first try!!! it was super rough towards the end because both :3c [ENC 16] and Surtr's Wish [ENC 16] were complete sightreads on my end, and i hadn't even unlocked the charts for normal play prior to this challenge!!! but somehow, through some miracle, i ended Surtr's Wish with only 10 life remaining (1 miss away from failing) and moved onto the ultimate final challenge... the very chart i came here to unlock... APOCALYPSE CALL [ENCORE 17] .

i wasn't sure what i was expecting at all, even though i saw the reveal when it happened... and after experiencing the chart for myself from start to finish, i... still don't exactly have the words to describe it. i might just keep to myself for the most part, but i was overall really disappointed and frustrated with both the chart and my performance on it. call it a skill issue, call it a 17.3 (as it's rated in-game ofc), call it the peak of difficulty... but the more i played, the more miserable i felt, and i genuinely don't think i could reasonably push for a higher score on this chart for another long while. maybe i just need to play more highers, since i've mostly been focusing on lower-level acc for a while, but i just . don't find it fun at all unfortunately. maybe i'll come around to it though, so i'm not gonna give up hope on it entirely .

moving on, however, a new update means new rating changes, and this time the rating calculation was expanded from Best 20 to a new Best 30!!! whereas the old calculation would've stopped at charts rated 15.7(?) and higher, this one now stops at 15.4 and higher, meaning there's several other charts to gain rating from now if you grind hard enough!!! and of those charts, i decided to gun for two that i felt like i could confidently do to raise my rating just a bit back up -- SUPERNOVA [FIN 15] and Dreams From Another World [FIN 15+]!!! i only managed to get away with an FC on DFAW, even with half an hour of practice and memorization, but i left SUPERNOVA [FIN 15] with an incredible MAX-17 AC to get my rating up from a 17580 to a 17597!!! (pushed to the 17600 border by DFAW, ofc) . w

while i was hesitant to try it again given all i'd said and thought about it, i wasn't exactly satisfied with my AA on APOCALYPSE CALL [ENC 17] either... so i gave it another try to end off my session... and after several tries and goofs, i raised all the way up from my sightread 961k to a sweet 984k, with a ton of rating to go along with it!!! as expected of a 17.3 if i don't say so myself... here's to hopefully figuring out the patterns and the stamina in the future!

Movie Review: Airplane! (1980)

The classic of modern slapstick comedy, Airplane! is a steady AA-gunfire of guilty laughs. Parodying disaster movies, Airplane! is set on a commercial flight, where several passengers, including the pilot and the co-pilots, get a life-threatening food poisoning from spoiled fish. The troubled ex-military pilot trying to win back the love of his life has to step up and save the day. All this while it being guaranteed that no scene passes without a surreal, dumb or tasteless joke.

Leslie Nielsen makes his comedy debut as a doctor investigating the sudden food poisonings. His ability to play a seemingly serious role amid surreal events is already present here, paving way to the later memorable roles in the Naked Gun films. Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty in the lead roles surely do their jobs, and successfully portray the cliche young couple on the verge of a breakup due to the male character's traumatic past. However, most of the humor happens on the background, and the casting of unexpected figures in the side roles is in my opinion what makes the movie a classic.

Airplane! is the perfect film to watch if you feel the need for a simple laugh with some additional charming 80s aesthetic.

It's still quite challenging to keep up with a fast-paced movie dialogue, not least because of all the smoking while talking. The general gist of it is however easy to follow, even though some puns might fly over my head (I only got the point of "surely" sounding like "Shirley" the second time). Comedy films like this with no central significance of the dialogue to the general plot seem like a good place to start - at least compared to, for example, Ocean's Eleven, where most of the plot was built through the dialogue.

2023 was a strange year because usually I have one big project I work on and then little ones sprinkled in and have at least a 50k fic to my name by the end of the year...sometimes multiple or 100k lol. but the time, effort, and energy that usually goes into those long projects got burned out in 2 months as I churned out 104,185 words for the 30 Day Fence Challenge, so the longest complete fic that was written entirely in 2023 was Mending Offences at only 12,012 words... man, Fence month was fun but it took a lot out of me ngl especially since usually 100k words lasts for months of posting while i build up more backlog. do not know that id be able to routinely pull a challenge like that off XD and its been nice to be back writing some longer form projects
