⌠ KATHRYN BERNARDO, 22, DEMIGIRL, SHE/HER/THEY/THEM ⌡ welcome back to gallagher academy, HONORA BELONIA! according to their records, they’re a SECOND year, specializing in LINGUISTICS, CULTURE, AND KNIFE FIGHTING SKILLS, SWORD TRAINING, PRECISION SHOOTING, FIREARMS & SWAT TRAINING ; and they DID NOT go to a spy prep high school. when i see them walking around in the halls, i usually see a flash of (clear film for highlighting textbooks without mess, constant eye-rolling, fancy by iggy azalea on the flute, and shopping bags haphazardly strewn across a meticulously arranged bed ). when it’s the cancer’s birthday on 07/17/1997, they always request their CREMA DE FRUTA from the school’s chefs. looks like they’re well on their way to graduation. ⌿ jess, 21, she/her, cst ⍀

background: born honora liezl belonia soliman in malolos, bulacan in the philippines to gelo and petra soliman. honora is the second of three sisters, the others being aira (the oldest) and sonora (the youngest). 

and besides the occasional faded memory deep inside their brain, that’s pretty much all what honey remembers about their family. because by the time she was five years old, her maternal grandparents walter and mona belonia had taken her with them back to the us. jacksonville, florida to be exact. and since then, honora ( lovingly nicknamed nora at this point ) was the pride and joy by walter and mona. 

while mona was a bit uptight, she still tended and cared for nora. when nora wanted to try cheerleading, mona put her in. walter, whose attention wasn’t always on the two since he worked many, many jobs, always tried to be there during nora’s performances. besides cheerleading, nora became interested in dance, having watched the movie “honey” and decides to nickname herself after the main character since it still works with ‘honora’. ( and bc ‘nora’ made her feel a bit old )

growing up, there wasn’t anything too unusual. at least, not to honey. however, walter had begun to teach her how to forge signatures and handwriting as a form of bonding, along with imitating pop culture figures to near accuracy. during the summers, esp when she was younger, they would play pretend and by the end of their playtime, the three would have cash or free items to take home.

mona, on the other hand, put honey into the ‘strangest’ classes and workshops. by the time honey was in their teens, she had double the certifications and qualifications than anyone else in the immediate area. she did like having them on her resume since she worked part-time in high school when she didn’t have cheer stuff going on ( babysitting, dog-walking, and tutoring ) 

when not doing cheer or work, honey is usually preoccupied with dancing. with the rise of social media and youtube as they grew up, they too post dance videos and had a foot in the online dance community and half of her friends were also in the scene.

as senior year approached, honey naturally began applying to colleges. having received acceptances from various colleges (and a scholarship for cheer at U.F.), honey .. wanted to go in another direction. since she’d been nurturing a dance career, honey had wanted to go to l.a. to try and make their mark. she was talented enough and she knew in her head that the skills she’s learned with her grandparents meant she’s equipped enough.

but her grandparents didn’t quite like it. and that’s when mona came clean about the family legacy. 

mona had been a gallagher girl in the past. she met walter soon after graduating, after he had pocketed her coin purse and she caught his wrist before he could get away, it was love. walter doesn’t quite do those things now ( he works “legitimate” jobs now ) and mona is long retired from her agency. 

she had explained that she wanted to take aira, since it was clear that petra had no plans to pursue the world of espionage, but petra refused. when honey was born, they tried again. still, petra refused. when sonora was born, they still tried and again, petra refused. mona explained that petra just didn’t see the importance of keeping it in the family. taking honey away had been a test, at first, for petra and gelo. but when they only called mona about honey a mere week after they had taken her, well ...

needless to say, honey didn’t take it too well. honey felt like a pawn. but at the same time, she remembers pretty much her entire life with her grandparents and realizes that while it started out so sour, it turned out .. nicely. if it wasn’t for the fact that mona has pulled honey into the world of espionage by forcing her hand ( mona turning in an application for gallagher on her behalf, for one ), the three could’ve parted ways nicely.

personality: honey ... is annoying. she’s basically if drew and rizo had a lovechild and then trained by lisanna. sort of. the thing is, she’s actually really chill. she does the annoying act on purpose to sike other people out, which helps her own hidden insecurities as a gallagher student that didn’t go to prep school. honey’s mostly over it now though. mostly. 

uhhhh quirks? most likely to leave drunken voicemails in various languages, aspiring cosplayer but cant sew for shit so rip honey’s dreams, closet weeb, favorite voice to imitate is probably the man that says “let’s get ready to ruuumble” during boxing matches, reads anything she can use in a conversation, also very likely to stay up to date with what the gossip blog says and very likely to let what it says influence what she thinks about you, “don’t tell me to shut up, you shut up, i can’t shut up because i still have things to say and you don’t so --” yknow..like..knock her out pls
