I think that Ink and Error are far more interesting and well suited as being friends (or a qpr at most) than as romantic partners. No hate to errorink (heck, I’ll even read errorink if I find the premise interesting/funny enough), but I just can’t see the two ever working out romantically, canon sexualities aside. Like, Error is way too immature and reactive to ever properly handle a romantic relationship, and Ink is (again, putting aside sexuality) too locked into their “everyone else is a character” philosophy to ever take a romantic relationship serious enough for it to work. Like, I feel like at some point he’d just forget or lose interest of the romantic partner and just… dip for lack of a better word (though, granted this might be my own aromantic perspective(TM) shining through lol).

Also, like, one of Ink’s things is mischief-making and Error is literally the most easiest to provoke Sans around. Like, I get the trope, but I think Error would just start attacking Ink on sight at some point honestly if they interacted for too long lol.

Idk, maybe I’d feel better with the ship if there were more openly aroace Ink fics/fanworks around to balance it out, but alas, there is not.

(Honestly though, I feel like fandoms in general don’t take to aro- and/or ace-spec characters well. Not for a lack of liking these characters, no, but more so due to the love of shipping and a fixation on romance. But now that’s its own can of worms and this is already getting longer than I thought it would)
