most of the people on that post r lovely & it’s a special thing when i get 2 share any community abt my ocd at all but yeah that comment really got to me LOL! ik this is just a typical case of a post reaching outside a circle of mutuals to a place where the context / intent of what ur saying disappears. but it makes me rlly sad that a post i made in a intimate moment is getting used to project this awful idea about my own relationship to my disorder by a stranger. i have washed my hands bloody & lost miserable, countless hours of my life to physical compulsions. i have no interest in making my disorder more “palatable” & i often can’t. if u spoke to me for 5 minutes u’d know that. i should not have to publicly list the shaming & isolation i’ve experienced in the most vulnerable parts of my life just so u do me the decency of assuming that i’m commenting in good faith & from the drivers seat.
