EXPLANATION OF EVENT

The event will proceed just as all prompt based ship weeks do: participants will post their works during the event using the official event tags (“#CaCO3Week2023” and “#BedoBedoWeek2023”). Only submissions that follow the event rules (Desktop / Mobile) will be shared on the official Tumblr account for the event. Participants are free to post their works on other social media platforms using the tags, just know there is not a dedicated account for sharing them anywhere except on Tumblr.

Participants are encouraged to use the prompts for inspiration for their works. They are also welcome to use the prompts out of order if they choose. While the prompts are separated between Open-Ended and NSFW, participants are allowed to mix and match between the two lists. However, any submission that uses the tags and follows the event rules will be shared regardless of whether or not they follow the day’s prompt. Completing a submission for each day is also not required.

This is meant to be a stress free event where BedoBedo enjoyers can gather together and share their love and interest for the ship.

Nigredo

A/N: Snippet from a fic I will probably never finish. I like this part and I'd be sad if it never saw the light of day.

Warning contains: major character death, angst, yandere themes (not intentional but could be seen that way)

Background: The reader found out Albedo had been replaced by 2bedo without them noticing. They run from 2bedo and find themselves in a cave on Dragonspine...

You rubbed your arms as you tracked through the cavern. Empty cold and lifeless.

You found something in a cave in the wall. His white lab coat. His thigh-high boots. His gloves. The hair clip you gave him mere weeks ago. All thrown on the ground.

You took a step and heard something crack.

From the edges of your shoe, you could see the iconic gold designs of feathers.

No way.

You lifted your shoe to reveal a vision.

A dead vision. From Mondstat.

You picked it up. It was cold and grey. The ambition that leaves the world with the death of...

You shook your head. It was probably someone else's. Someone who lived on the mountain centuries ago. An adventure who had lost his way.

You stepped further into the cave. There were chains attached to the wall. You picked them up to take a closer look.

They seemed like cryo constructs. You could see perfect fractals in the ice. Then you noticed your hands covered in white dust. Rubbed your fingers together.

Chalk.

There was no hiding from it. Albedo...

You collapsed.

"Oh. So you know what happened?" Said his voice. Not HIM, but the fake.

'If there was someone who could worry you less...' Albedo had told you. You never got the chance to reassure him. To tell him how much you cared.

"No one could ever replace you. You are so so special and unique. My worry just shows how much I love you."

"Who are you talking to?" The homunculus stepped closer. "You look cold,here. Let's get you somewhere warmer" he wrapped his jacket around you, holding you by the shoulder to lead you out of the cave.

"I don't want the perfect boyfriend. I want YOU." You squeezed the vision in you hand harder. "You don't talk much, you seem cold and distant , you don't communicate how you feel."

"Your sense of humor is awful and almost insensitive , you get so caught up in your world you forget everyone else." Tears started to form. "Even then you are- were the sweetest kindest person I have ever met. "

"Shh. Don't cry. Everything this will okay." 'Albedo' wrapped you in his arms." I'm here."

"I don't want you here I want Albedo"you pushed him off.

"But he's not here is he? I am. Besides what is the difference? We look and act the same don't we?" He grabbed your hands thumb rubbing the back of it. He looked at you with soft eyes.

"Let me be your Albedo. Your perfect boyfriend."

you're right, it doesn’t ;w; i love xiao’s playstyle so much, it’s just so high-paced and gets me super engaged, so yeah definitely recommend to pull him next if you can!! and omgggg 15 pity kazuha…. i lost 50/50 to qiqi at 77 pity and kazuha only came home at 66…. at least xiao was kind and came home at 43 pity last time (altho i lost 50/50 to jean first slkdjflksjdflkjsdf). i wanted klee too but… kazuha ran me dry… super glad i stubbornly persisted tho, his synergy with xiao is really good!!

Calcium Carbonate [CaCO3] is a week-long event organized by fans and for fans of BedoBedo.

This ship includes Albedo and his fellow alchemical creations, such as Subject 2 and the Fellflower. If the character was created by Rhinedottir and looks like Albedo, they qualify for this ship. Any combination of Albedo and Albedo-like characters are welcome.

This ship week is meant to focus on the non-platonic relationship between Albedo, Subject 2, and the Fellflower, as there has already been an event dedicated to the platonic/familial interpretation of this ship. However, participants are welcome to interpret the ship however they like. We only ask that participants respect other participants’ views during the event to keep everything peaceful and fun. This week was not organized to cause discourse or tension between fans. It is only meant to give fans who enjoy the non-platonic interpretation of the ship a place to share their work and connect.

Please be warned that the in-game relationship between Albedo, Subject 2, and the Fellflower can and will likely inspire content by participants that would fall under the Dead Dove category. Reminder that Albedo is the first playable Genshin Impact character to actively stab another character on-screen. Therefore, violence, gore and angst are possible and will be allowed during this event as long as it is properly tagged. Because of this, we ask that everyone who submits such content for the event be at least 18+.

The event is currently set to be held on Tumblr and AO3 only. This is due to the current instability of Twitter as a platform. Since we can't ensure the site will still be functional for the duration of the event, we are choosing not to run an official account for it there. Participants are more than welcome to use the event tags on Twitter and share their event specific works there, but they will not be shared on Twitter by an official event account.

We want to repeat once again that this event was not organized out of malice or in bad faith towards the SFW BedoBedo week hosted on Twitter. This event has no connection to the organizers of the SFW event. CaCO3 Week is just meant to give fans who enjoy the NSFW interpretation of the ship a space to connect and interact with each other.

We also want to remind all participants to double check Tumblr’s guidelines regarding NSFW content before posting. While their restrictions have loosened a bit with the introduction of Community Labels, not everything is allowed. Explicit sexual content is still likely to get a strike against your account, so please be mindful and careful of what you post and how.
