MAY 2000 - at a mall recording bar, i had a dilemma when my late aunt asked me (bayot ko o dili? gusto ko ug babae o lalake? char lang!) what @britneyspears album do i want for my 13th birthday: ...Baby One More Time or Oops!... I Did It Again? she suggested the latter since it was just newly released. her offer was tempting since the area was surrounded with "oops!" promo materials: the huge poster/tarp and standee, the looping music video, etc. i wanted both albums of course but i could only choose one due to a tight budget. P150 for a cassette tape was already expensive at that time considering that we also travelled far south from our town. after a thorough (and maybe painful) consideration, i picked the 1999 debut album instead of the 2000 followup because if you want to be in the #BritneyArmy, you better catch up where it all started! back home, i wasn't able to listen to the BOMT casette tape that much kay either "bungol" or "mama-ak" among player! so my aunt's partner bought a "pirated" CD of OIDIA. and that album officially welcomed me to my teenage stage! to date, i don't own yet an original Oops CD (flop fan alert). the original tape i'm holding in the pic was given to me by a friend last 2017. Oops!...
