Monsoon Games: Roadmap
I'll continue to tweak this rough roadmap according to the responses I get from the google form, but here's the plan (ideal-case) for the next 1-2 years!
If you haven't filled out the form yet, please do, as answers would be super valuable in helping me better gauge, prioritize, and budget my next steps as well as tweak the pricing for the tiers!
Phase 1: Now till end-2025
Full-time urban planner
Part-time game dev.
Likely to be mostly solo-work and choice-script based
Phase 2: Beginning 2026 till end 2026
Part/Full-time game dev
Likely to involve / bring in an artist/coder, depending on eventual decision on game format (ren'py, Godot or choicescript)
Phase 3: Beginning 2027
Launch phase 2 game
Re-evaluate what to do next, likely back to my full-time job, but to KIV this based on what happens in Phase 2
Details below the cut!
Again, if you have comments, suggestions, preferences, do leave a message or email ([email protected]). If you're interested to collaborate, or to find out about what games I'm thinking of, click here.
Phase 1a
Timeframe: now till end 2025
Scope: Keep rolling out choicescript updates for CT:OS and Merry Crisis. This will form the base of content for ko-fi/patreon (with subscribers continuing to get early-releases until these games are complete).
Phase 1b
Timeframe: start sometime 2nd half of 2025, run concurrently till end 2025)
Scope: Write a choicescript 'concept demo' for 2 new games I've been haunted by over the past couple of years. (I'll release more info on this if I think they're viable). Whether or not they become more complex games, I'll at least have the choicescript demo.
Phase 1c
Timeframe: optional, but to start as soon as funding is obtained
Scope: Depending on interest, I want to consider doing a port to ren'py for Merry Crisis (or CT:OS, but likely MC) for a more visual-style game. This would involve either hiring a coder to help with the port, or doing it myself. More importantly, will need to commission art for this.
_____
Monthly-subscriptions for both Phase 1a and 1b would include the following tiers:
$3/month (existing): Just to support me :)
$6/month (existing): Early-access links to CT:OS and Merry Crisis
$9/month (new tier): Same as above + Early-content (e.g. lore, character snippets & art, non-interactive stories, dev logs) for new game(s)
$12/month (might not go for this tier, but including just as a concept): Same as above + Expanded early-content (e.g. interactive choice-script based demo access)
Phase 2a
Timeframe: Beginning 2026, probably 6-9 months or more depending on scope
Scope: With CT:OS and Merry Crisis completed, I hope to then turn my sights to converting the choicescript demo created in phase 1b into actual complete games. This could either take the form of:
A full choicescript game
A full ren'py (visual) game
A full Godot (2D) game
About 2-3 months into Phase 2a, I will also have enough content to launch a kickstarter, which would hopefully bring new backers on board and funds to speed-up production of the game(s). For folks who prefer supporting once-off instead, they'll also come in at this stage :)
Phase 2b:
Timeframe: Probably 6-9 months into 2026
Scope: Once there's a playable beta version of the game, I'll then do testing with subscribers and other beta-testers, and do de-bugging.
_____
Monthly-subscriptions for both Phase 2a and 2b would include the following tiers:
$4/month: Just to support me :)
$8/month: Subscriber-only content for all new games in development (e.g. character snippets & art, dev logs)
$12/month: Same as above + Little interactive patches/expansion packs for CT:OS and Merry Crisis
$16/month: Same as above + Expanded early-content for all new games (e.g. non-interactive stories, scene peaks/teasers, interactive twine or choicescript based playable content, access to beta version of the game when ready in phase 2b)
Kickstarter tiers:
$12 once-off for a specific project (a selection of content from the pool of characer snippets & art, dev-logs that $8/month subscribers get)
$25 once-off for a specific project (same as above + a selection of content from the pool of expanded early-content)
$35 once-off for a specific project (same as above + special perks e.g. ability to design a character or item or request chapter)
Phase 3
Timeframe: Start of 2027 onwards
Scope: When at least 1 game is launched, hopefully by start of 2027, I'll re-evaluate and see what to set my sights on next! This probably also means going back to full-time urban planning :)

Progress Update - October, 2024
It is time…the first Quarterly Progress Update for our next game starts now! And we're kicking it off with a title drop!!! Drum roll, please! Tom, if you will help me out...
That's right! Heartbreaker joins the fray!
For the record that’s not the real logo, just a temporary one that I slapped together.
Before we get into it I would actually like to glance back at the past and detail what our development timeline looked like for Band Camp Boyfriend. It's possible this one might look somewhat similar.
2015-2017 - Writing 2017 - Commissioned art, created social media presence 2018 - Demo released on Itch.io in August Programming hell 2022 - Demo released on Steam 2023 - Full game released
The good news is this isn’t our first rodeo and I’m hopeful there won’t be so many growing pains this time. We're also doing 4 routes and a shorter common route so that means less suffering for us. The bad news is I worked part-time 2015-2017 so I blazed through writing and now I work full-time…and I’m old…and my memory is failing me…but it’s okay, I’ve forgotten all the pain.
This time around we want to be sure we get all the writing down before we start commissioning art. We had the tendency to keep going back and asking for more because the game kept getting bigger (saving up money was also a factor). We’re gonna make sure we know exactly what we want this time. We’d also like to save casting voice actors for much later in the process so they aren’t waiting around for years on end. So the demo for this game will not have voice acting. I believe I wrote about this a little before in our post-mortem. We’re learning from our mistakes, woohoo!
That said, this is what we’re hopefully visualizing for Heartbreaker.
2024-2025 - Writing 2026 - Big art commissioning year, a more exciting project reveal, hopefully demo release later in the year! 2027 and on - Programming hell! Casting! Soundtrack fun!
…If this was to line up with BCB that would mean 2031 release. Oh God. No, I wanna release it in this decade, thanks. This is very tentative and we’re determined to not take 7 years this time.
Enough about that! Here is what we’ve worked on this year!
Concept art: Lite was absolutely awesome (as always) and let us have sessions with her in which we worked on concept art of the main cast together. It was super helpful in bringing our visualizations to life and it will definitely aid in writing the story. I can't go on enough about how wonderful Lite is to work with, and it was amazing to watch her go. She would whip up a number of poses, face types, or hairstyles for us to choose from. It was really fun and we're very grateful for the time she spent with us.
The demo: That's right, the demo is written! Woohoo! Unlike Band Camp Boyfriend with its twisting, long-winded common route, Heartbreaker’s common route is a single day! Alex can sigh in relief because that’s one less nightmare in programming for her.
The demo will contain the one-day common route and the first two chapters of two different love interests’ routes (the other two are locked at the start of the game so you’ll just have to admire them from a distance).
Brainstorming: Ahh my favorite part…talking long walks or going for coffee and coming up with ideas. Brainstorming is ongoing and includes character profiles, world-building, and route outlines. This game has a lot more lore and world-building than BCB, so it’s more of a challenge, but we’re here for it. I've already done a badly-drawn map of the setting. Just need to finish up some profiles for minor characters and do some of my own badly-drawn concept art. Then we move on to fleshing out the route outlines.
The first route: One goal I have is to try and finish writing the first draft of the first route by the end of the year! Which is insane because October is super busy for me, but I'm sure I can buckle down when it gets colder. It's a bit ambitious, but aim high, right?
That's all I got for now! Hope you're all feeling hyped and uh, patient, because we won't be able to show you any cool art for a while. ;v; Thank you so much for sticking by us and we appreciate every single comment that has mentioned looking forward to our next game! Enjoy the rest of 2024!!!
P.S. Today is my mom's birthday and yesterday was my sister's birthday, and also my best friend's birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAAAAAYYYY to these very important people. <3

Some Ideas/Headcanons for Abraxasverse GxK!
So, after having seen The New Empire, I already already have quite a few ideas for how it could fit into the Abraxasverse! I’ll write up a more thorough breakdown of how I’d do it sometime soon, but I figured I might as well start with some of the basic ideas. So, here goes!
- Just for a bit of context, I’m going by @zerm2v0hg’s awesome “Clash of Silver” fic as how the Abraxasverse’s version of GvK would’ve played out.
- Since GxK takes place in 2027, I’d have Ladon be officially introduced in 2025 and Shin in 2026 (both as Godzilla clones created by Apex), so they would both play a role in this version. Kiryu’s new body might still be under construction (since it took 5-10 years to build Mechagodzilla in canon, so I don’t know if 3 years would be enough time to finish building his second body after the first one sadly got destroyed in Clash of Silver), so I don’t know if I’d have him play a major role here, but either way his new body’s construction would be overseen by Project Powerhouse, the same division of Monarch that creates Kong’s new gauntlet in the movie. Maybe Ren Serizawa would be in charge of that project in this timeline, now that he’s not working for Apex anymore?
- For the events of The Hunted, I’d probably have it go pretty much the same way as canon, but I do love the idea of having Monster X be the one to go up against the Hunter mech rather than Kong, just because that way they’d be able to give Raymond Martin (aka Dickhead Tech-Bro) a Reasons You Suck speech while beating the crap out of his second-rate Jaeger ripoff.
- Scylla & Tiamat would probably still end up getting into fights with Godzilla or one of his sons, but while Scylla might still end up dying if the events of The Hunted play out similarly here, Tiamat probably wouldn’t, assuming that the potential backstory of her having a connection to Ozymandias is actually Abraxasverse canon.
- To give Godzilla & his allies more to do in the Abraxasverse version of GxK, I feel like it would make sense to incorporate the Xenilla arc into this portion of the timeline. So I’d have him land on the surface and start causing trouble for Team Godzilla at around the same time that Kong discovers Skar King’s hidden empire in the Hollow Earth, which would eventually lead to the final battle being a three-way battle royale between the Scarred Apes’ army (led by Skar King & Shimo), the heroic Titans (particularly Godzilla’s family, Monster X & Kong), and Xenilla.
- In this timeline, instead of Mothra being the guardian Titan of the Hollow-Earth Iwi civilization, it would be Leo. To me, that seems like a perfect way for him to be introduced into the Abraxasverse: as Godzilla & Mothra’s offspring who was born thousands of years ago, took up residence in the Hollow Earth during the Ice Age, and essentially “adopted” the surviving Iwi tribe after Skar King presumably abandoned them at some point. I’d also ditch the “prophecy” angle from the canon movie for Jia and just focus on her other connections with Kong & the Iwi, as Mothra already has a human link in the form of the Chen family.
- Godzilla’s transformation wouldn’t just be a random evolution/powerup; instead, it would be a side effect of his being badly wounded & infected by Xenilla during their first fight. Mothra would narrowly manage to cure & heal him (after taking him to Tiamat’s Arctic lair so he could absorb a bunch of extra radiation to fuel the healing process), but his appearance would still be permanently altered as a result. That’s where the elbow & tail spikes and the new color of his energy would come from, as he’d end up assimilating some of the crystal’s power for himself. As a beneficial side effect, his new form would also be immune to any further infection attempts by the Crystal Cordyceps.
- In keeping with that idea, Abraxasverse Xenilla would basically look like a fusion of the classic SpaceGodzilla and a more advanced version of Godzilla’s Evolved form, with white crystal spikes & plates, longer spikes on his elbows & tail, and red bioluminescence (to fit with the idea that the pink color of Goji’s Evolved form is a side effect of his partially undergoing that process but stopping it halfway through). I think it could also look really cool if he has crystal wings that unfold from his body when he needs to fly, and reform into a layer of extra armor around his torso when he’s on the ground. For how they’d look, I’m thinking maybe something like an all-white version of Tabuu’s crystal wings from the Super Smash Bros video games.
- Shimo would actually be the key to taking down Xenilla once she’s freed from Skar King’s control, as the heroes eventually discover that while Xenilla’s crystal armor has adapted to resist Godzilla’s atomic breath, it’s highly vulnerable to Shimo’s ice-breath. As a result, it ends up being a tag-team effort from her, Godzilla & Mothra (plus Ozzy managing to fight back from within) that ultimately brings the parasite down for good. It’s tragic, of course, given their past relationships with him, but they’re able to take some comfort in the fact that their victory also allows Ozzy’s spirit to finally rest in peace.
A longer, more in-depth breakdown of what I’ve got in mind will be coming soon, but I figured I’d see what you thought of the main bullet-points first. 😄
Oooh, here we go!
I've actually reached a point where I'm willing to call The Clash of Silver a part of AbraxasVerse canon. Hey, @zerm2v0hg! Have some canonization, as a treat!
Yeah, Kiryu being out of commission for a while makes sense, and it feels fitting that he'd be handled by Project Powerhouse. Ren could definitely use a job at Powerhouse after how his gig at Apex ended... and hopefully a therapist, depending on how he's been handling the whole "nearly got electrocuted to death and something happened to his brain but he doesn't know what".
AbraxasVerse Raymond Martin I feel can definitely stand to be less cartoonishly evil than his comic counterpart; maybe instead of gleefully trying to kill a pair of cubs after slaughtering their mother, his trauma from 2014 has reached the point where he simply can't stand seeing a happy family, human or monster, because it gets into his head that that ought to be him and his family. He's still a douchebag tech-bro who hates the Titans and would probably consider Monster X a traitor of sorts for embracing their new monster existence, he's just more clearly a broken man futilely raging against forces of nature because that's all he knows what to do now.
Scylla in MonsterVerse canon is a real nasty piece of work and while AbraxasVerse Scylla is comparatively better, I won't feel bad if she still ends up dying as a result of Martin's nonsense causing her nuclear feeding frenzy; this would be a good way for Ladon and Shin to make an impression on the world, that they're willing to fight to maintain the worldly balance just like their dad. Tiamat however has potential thanks to the Ozymandias backstory and I feel she can be better utilized in AbraxasVerse, especially in light of @tosho89's ritual idea...
Xenilla showing up here would be cool... maybe he was sent out to scout the planet in case a Titan of comparable power to Ozymandias has shown up in the time since that abduction? Leo being the Hollow Earth Iwi guardian could be a neat way to tie in MV!Mothra's reworking Phosphora/Phosphera's (how is that supposed to be spelled?) placeholder role without being too jarring.
Huh, Goji nearly getting infected is a GREAT idea for the sake of tension and sheer "oh SHIT" factor! He goes out of commission for a bit while Mothra heals him and Tiamat does her ritual, and he returns to the fore more powerful than ever... at the cost of becoming a beacon for the nefarious forces behind Xenilla's existence to home in on. And I am ALL FOR Shimo having more to do!
Cool ideas all around! I'm looking forward to seeing what else you've got!

FOP Fic News
Overview
I’ve always had table of contents docs for projects like Origin and Knots, and since I’m returning from hiatus, I recently moved them to a spreadsheet and mapped out what dates I should plan to upload chapters on and how long it will take me to finish these stories. I went through lots of docs with a critical eye and combined or cut chapters to get a better idea of how things are looking.
Posting at my current schedule of one chapter every other week, it looks like Origin and Knots will come to an end in 2025 (if I stay on top of my buffer) and although that feels so far away, there’s a certain relief in it since my combining and cutting helped me bring that down from 2026.
That schedule doesn’t leave wiggle room for other projects like Come What May, the 130 Prompts, and work for my other fandoms that I’ve been drafting over the years. I don’t really like the idea that if I wrap up Origin and Knots in 2.5 years, I’ll still have another several years of Prompts left to go. I always knew these were big projects and working on them made the long years of school more fun, but it’s always been my intention to finish them, and I’d rather do that sooner than later. After all, I’m still sitting on pieces I wrote in 2016 about Cavatina, and 2026 isn’t as far away as it seems... The idea that the 10-year anniversary of his arc might hit before I actually post it leaves me shook, my dude.
I’ve given it some thought and realized that if I post 130 Prompts on the weeks between Origin and Knots chapters, I can wrap the series up in 2026, maybe 2027. I can live with that a lot more than I can live with the idea of working on this project past 2030, ha ha.
In other words, I’m setting a goal of a ‘fic update every Friday, starting soon (I’ve got the next Prompt done, but I’m sitting on it for a sec to build the buffer out farther). There might be some Fridays where there’s nothing, but keep your eyes out for things that interest you. I hope you enjoy :)

130 Prompt Details
So, many of you are probably familiar with my FOP one-shot series, 130 Reasons Why I’m Fairy Trash. I've had all the 130 Prompts planned out for years, but I lost interest in some of those plans as time went on (Not the big plot stuff, that's still the same, but some minor standalones).
I recently went through my docs to refresh my memory on what’s to come. I had some vague ideas that I never fleshed out and realized that I never will, so I’ve scrapped those. I also had stuff I scrapped years ago, but fell in love with the drafts all over again and am eager to see them finished off.
In 2022, I took an FOP and Tumblr hiatus to focus on other things like my IRL job and personal projects, and I couldn’t maintain the spark of inspiration for FOP at the same time. Mostly, the reason for that was just that I was busy and was putting my time and creative energy into other projects, and I simply didn’t have time for both. I didn’t realize until now, but I think I also felt pressure to create something big and meaningful with what I submitted, and I became paralyzed with thoughts of putting out something “boring” or “weird” and facing critique that my work was confusing or unenjoyable.
Anyway, while recently looking through my WIPs, I remembered the 130 Prompts were always meant to be a series of short side stories and that there’s nothing wrong with dorky little one-offs. I don’t need to put pressure on myself to turn everything into a polished 10k+ story when just a few thousand words will do, or overthink the humor and flow to the point I talk myself out of doing something.
I spent some time a bit ago looking over my stuff and making a new plan for the order I want to post things in, and it feels much more achievable to me now. I’m excited to get back to it. Hoping to post some dumb and silly things more often because “I had an idea and it made me laugh” is valid.
--
Stuff Getting Scrapped / Kept
I’ve realized that I’m not going to write Identity Theft and Acacia Arcadia as standalone ‘fics. I scrapped some scenes and the rest will be recycled into 130 Prompts to replace the ones I cut. I’ve set my plan up so that the next Prompts in line are ones that have solid drafts and I’m excited to work on, so I’m hoping to get on a regular posting schedule with those soon, alternating weeks with Origin and Knots.
Hawthorn Haven and Devil’s Backbone will prrrobably still exist as their own ‘fics someday when the time is right, as when I first made their outlines, I was already prepared to work on them “when I’m older.” I don’t feel the same pressure to finish them. I’m still looking forward to them, but they’re in “Can’t talk about these things until we’re in that point of the timeline” jail. I’ve always intended for Devil’s Backbone to be the end of my FOP writing days, so it’s on the backburner for obvious reasons, but when the time does come to close out all the stories and wonderful worldbuilding, I hope it’ll be a blast.
I do still have a draft for a ‘fic called Along the Cherry Lane which focuses on Timmy and his friends growing up, marrying, having kids, etc. but that’s on the backburner for now too. I’m not sure if I want to keep it, but also not ready to let it go. If I do let it go, I’ll find a place for the scenes I liked within the Prompts or I’ll post one or two one-shots instead of the whole ‘fic. I do intend to get back to Come What May once I get the spark back for it and I might even return to Snips and Snails... who knows.
--
Tl;dr
I still have several years of FOP content that I plan to release, as I’ve never wanted to abandon these stories I love. I knew I was starting big projects and I knew they would take me years to finish, but as my 10-year anniversary of writing FOP ‘fics creeps nearer and nearer... Yeah, there’s a certain part of me that's ready to jump back into a schedule and see if I can wrap up all three of these big projects by the time I hit that mark. Crazy how it’s been so long.
Currently I have an Origin / Knots ‘fic buffer through the end of June. We’re entering the phase of the story where the drafts are pretty solid, which means they hopefully won’t take long to polish. Exciting!
--
The Schedule
Throughout 2023, you can expect Origin and Knots to alternate weeks. These two ‘fics are main priority in my ‘fic-writing life, so they get buffer priority and I intend to keep up with this goal as best I can. If all goes according to plan, we should be wrapping up towards the end of 2025. I hope to see y’all there :)
I’ll be sprinkling in updates to other projects throughout the “off” weeks. Sometimes there might be no update at all, and I’m okay with that because the “off” weeks are simply meant to be “If there is something, it can be shared” weeks. I’m not holding myself to posting at those times in the same way I’m holding myself to keeping Origin and Knots on schedule, but I look forward to getting to share some fun things like 130 Prompts, more Come What May chapters, miscellaneous one-shots, and content for other fandoms.
Even if I stay consistent, I definitely don’t expect to wrap up the 130 Prompts until 2026 or 2027, and that’s okay. These next few years will be busy, but I’m looking forward to forming a healthy work-life balance- there’s a certain value that a scheduled writing system has in helping you look forward to the next creation you get to share... It makes the work week a little bit nicer.
--
Closing
As a reader, your interest in silly fairy fanfics might come and go, but thank you so much to those who’ve loved my work over the years, reblogged posts, left reviews, sent Asks, chatted with me, and so much more.
Also, thank you to those who’ve left me kudos on AO3. I still get emails every time there are kudos, and while I don’t track how many kudos my little stories receive in this old, quiet fandom, it is really cool to see how much love has been given to some of the short pieces I wrote 6 or 7 years ago.
As the years have gone by, it’s been a good reminder that people have really liked some of those pieces that I don’t think about as often as my longer stuff. I don’t need to psych myself out worrying that my quick one-shots aren’t good enough... I’m looking forward to posting some short things again soon.
Thank you for the love and support! I hope you enjoy what’s next <3

Neil is currently still writing the script for GO Season 3. David and Michael (and likely others who are necessary to the production) are currently busy with other projects. It probably won't be until much later this year, when the script is completed and submitted to Amazon, and when a budget is approved, that real planning and scheduling of the shoot can begin to happen. Actual filming is not likely to begin until spring or summer of 2025.
Without the restrictions caused by the COVID pandemic, hopefully everything can move faster than it did for Season 2, but Season 3 is still not likely to be completed and released until late 2026 or 2027. If I remember correctly, post-production on Season 2 took almost another year after the filming was completed, so I feel like this is a fairly realistic estimated timeline. I just hope that I am still here to see the finished Season 3 when it is finally released. I have become very aware of my own mortality, lately. 🙁
Well the main news is that someone was bold enough to ask Michael at stage door what the chances are of them starting filming season 3 this year and he said “non-existent” but he thinks it’ll be “early next year”

UltiHash’s Sustainable Data Infrastructure Tackles AI Storage Challenges
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/ultihashs-sustainable-data-infrastructure-tackles-ai-storage-challenges/
UltiHash’s Sustainable Data Infrastructure Tackles AI Storage Challenges
UltiHash, a provider of high-performance and eco-friendly data storage solutions, has launched its object storage platform to address critical issues in AI data storage. This development aims to resolve mounting challenges in the AI industry related to infrastructure costs and environmental sustainability. The new platform enhances performance for data-heavy applications, including generative AI and advanced analytics, offering scalable and sustainable solutions for data management.
As the AI industry grows, projected to reach $407 billion by 2027 according to Forbes, the demand for data storage has surged. AI model training, which relies on massive datasets, often strains current storage infrastructure due to inefficiency, leading to high costs and a significant environmental footprint. UltiHash’s new platform is designed to solve these issues, providing high-performance storage while reducing both operational expenses and environmental impact.
Key Features of UltiHash’s Platform
UltiHash’s platform introduces several key innovations, including:
Advanced Deduplication: Reducing data volumes by up to 60% by eliminating redundant data at the byte level, minimizing storage needs and bandwidth usage.
Scalability: Built for organizations with rapidly growing data needs, the platform scales easily to petabytes and beyond, supporting continuous data expansion.
Enhanced Performance: With 250% faster read speeds compared to AWS S3, the platform improves data throughput for both read and write operations, essential for high-performance applications.
Interoperability: Fully compatible with S3 APIs and designed for seamless integration with both cloud and on-premises infrastructures, including Kubernetes-native environments.
Data Resiliency: Built-in erasure coding ensures data is protected even during hardware failures, safeguarding against system disruptions.
These features position UltiHash as a critical player in the AI data storage landscape, especially for organizations adopting data lakehouse architectures. By combining the scalability of data lakes with the query efficiency of data warehouses, the platform supports diverse data formats while optimizing performance and resource usage.
Building on Recent Success: $2.5M Pre-Seed Funding
UltiHash’s latest announcement follows its successful $2.5 million pre-seed funding round in December 2023, led by Inventure, alongside investors like PreSeedVentures, Tiny VC, and Sequoia Capital-affiliated angel investors. The funding supports UltiHash’s efforts to enhance its platform and accelerate market entry.
The company’s entry into the market comes as data growth reaches unprecedented levels. IDC projects that global digital data will hit 175 zettabytes by 2025, each zettabyte contributing the carbon footprint of approximately two million people annually. This rapid increase in data generation presents both operational and environmental challenges, with existing storage solutions often requiring significant cost outlays and energy consumption. UltiHash’s platform aims to break this cycle by reducing the overall storage demand while maintaining high performance.
A Future of Sustainable, High-Performance Storage
By reducing the data stored through advanced deduplication, UltiHash enables companies to scale their data operations sustainably. This technology addresses the core issue of balancing scalability with affordability, which has traditionally constrained data-driven industries, including AI, telecom, manufacturing, and automotive.
“The AI revolution is generating data at an unprecedented rate, and traditional storage solutions are struggling to keep pace,” says Tom Lüdersdorf, Co-Founder and CEO of UltiHash. “The future of storage will make it possible to avoid ballooning data costs without compromising on speed.”
As data continues to fuel innovation in AI and other industries, UltiHash‘s platform is poised to play a crucial role in enabling sustainable data growth. Its focus on reducing both the environmental toll and the financial burden of large-scale data storage could reshape how organizations approach data infrastructure.

As you can tell by the cover of the first novel in the series, The Mask of Fear by Alexander Freed (writer of the absolutely incredible Alphabet Squadron series) Reign of the Empire will examine the struggle against the Empire through the eyes of some familiar faces. Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, and Saw Gerrera–all with their own differing perspectives on what must be done to stop Palpatine–play key roles in the trilogy, alongside a new cast of original characters as the galaxy begins to reckon with the grip of the Empire. Here’s the official logline for The Mask of Fear:
Before the Rebellion, the Empire reigned. “In order to ensure the security and continuing stability, the Republic will be reorganized into the first Galactic Empire! For a safe and secure society!” With one speech, and thunderous applause, Chancellor Palpatine brought the era of the Republic crashing down. In its place rose the Galactic Empire. Across the galaxy, people rejoiced and celebrated the end to war—and the promises of tomorrow. But that tomorrow was a lie. Instead the galaxy became twisted by the cruelty and fear of the Emperor’s rule. During that terrifying first year of tyranny, Mon Mothma, Saw Gerrera, and Bail Organa face the encroaching darkness. One day, they will be three architects of the Rebel Alliance. But first, each must find purpose and direction in a changing galaxy, while harboring their own secrets, fears, and hopes for a future that may never come, unless they act.
The Mask of Fear will be followed by two more novels: the first written by Resistance Reborn‘s Rebecca Roanhorse, and the second by Fran Wilde, marking her full Star Wars novel debut after writing for the From a Certain Point of View anthology celebrating Return of the Jedi‘s 40th anniversary. While the first novel will be set in the very first year of the Empire’s rule, Roanhorse and Wilde’s books will jump forward in the Star Wars timeline by several years to explore key turning points in the myriad growing movements of rebellion across the galaxy.
“I’m enormously excited to be a part of this project and explore an era of Star Wars especially rich with the nuanced stories of ‘ordinary’ citizens–people living inside the machinery of the Empire, still figuring out what’s happened to their government and in violent disagreement over ideas of democracy, resistance, revolution, and complicity,” Freed said in a statement provided to io9. “It’s a chance to write a political thriller and spy drama and sweeping historical epic all at once, as well as spotlight Mon Mothma–a character I’ve been passionate about for ages. I can only hope the end result does justice to the grand themes of the prequel films, and manages a similar blend of timelessness and relevance.”
The Mask of Fear will release February 25, 2025, and is available to pre-order now. Books two and three in the Reign of the Empire trilogy are scheduled to release in Spring 2026 and Spring 2027, respectively.

Dystopian Sci-fi in my political ads??
As likely as centipedes :p
Challenge: this is the prologue to a short story anthology, you can write anything that takes place after the 2028 campaign season has begun.
There is no requirement to actually set your story in the US or have it deal with politics. Just has to depict some snippet of life on earth in 2027 or later. If an alien is alive on earth, that’s fine, too. If there’s space travel, story can only go up to the technically defined limit of space.
I suppose I can’t think of a valid reason to forbid telecommunication with someone on Earth from outer space but know the eye of judgment is harsh upon you ;p
I will also allow for the challenge one deviation from the video, since the essence of the ad is about Trump and Project 2025 doing what they’ve said they’ll do, and Trump has promised to leave abortion up to the states, you may have him keep that promise instead of breaking it. The contradictions can be attributed to future issues with historical records or something in an epilogue or chapter note or whatever.
Double Challenge: Extra points awarded for the inclusion of centipedes.
Triple Challenge: Extra points awarded for directly referencing something in another story in the challenge.
Quadruple Challenge: Double points awarded if you put in an obvious hook / prompt for other stories to fulfill the triple challenge. Extra points awarded for every story that follows that hook.
Quintuple Challenge: The points mean nothing but they are the best points. Everybody says so. Nobody has ever seen points like these.

Inflation expectations deteriorate further in Brazil
Brazil’s short-term inflation expectations continue to increase as long-term ones have “cemented” above the inflation target of 3 percent, says Goldman Sachs’s leading economist in Latin America, Alberto Ramos, when looking at the latest Focus Report — a weekly survey the Central Bank carried out with top-rated investment firms.
Inflation expectations for end-2024 and 2025 increased to 4 and 3.87 percent, respectively, while the median of projections for 2026 and 2027 remained unchanged for several weeks, at 3.60 and 3.50 percent, respectively.
These numbers reflect the market perception that fiscal targets are unlikely to be met and that the authorities “are inclined to accommodate inflation above the target,” writes Mr. Ramos in a report to investors.

https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/4692177-mad-about-the-economy-blame-donald-trump/
..."A new poll shows Trump leading in all swing states except Wisconsin (where Trump and Biden tie), with 56 percent of voters saying the former president would do a good job on the economy versus just 40 percent for Biden.
Economy is fine and polls are wrong
Despite all evidence to the contrary, most voters in battleground states believe that former President Donald Trump would do more for the economy than President Biden in a second term.
A new poll shows Trump leading in all swing states except Wisconsin (where Trump and Biden tie), with 56 percent of voters saying the former president would do a good job on the economy versus just 40 percent for Biden.
These voters are sadly mistaken. Trump’s first term and current policy proposals are dire warnings that a second round of Trumponomics would be devastating to everyday Americans.
Trump is promising to give big tax cuts to everybody, and to protect Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. But the truth is that his proposed tax cuts will benefit the wealthy at the expense of low- and middle-income Americans, and he will cut entitlements to cover any lost tax revenues.
We’ve seen this movie before. In 2016, Trump promised his tax cuts would favor working- and middle-class Americans. The cuts he delivered, however, favored the wealthy, widened income inequality, and encouraged massive tax fraud (which Trump may view as normal practice, given his own bogus tax write-offs).
By the time they expire next year, Trump’s tax cuts are projected to have boosted after-tax incomes of the top 1 percent of earners by 3 percent, to an average of $2.1 million. But they barely affect the bottom 60 percent of earners, increasing their 2025 incomes just 1 percent, to $41,800.
By 2025, average tax savings will amount to just $70 for the bottom 20 percent of earners, $61,090 for the top 1 percent, and $252,300 for the top 0.1 percent. If extended to 2027, the tax cuts would actually make low- and middle-income earners worse off."

Bitcoin on 5/15 - (Mid-May Update)
Disclaimer: I do not know the future. Nor do I claim to be able to. I am merely speculating on cryptos with Astrology here on this page.
The current price as I'm writing this is $27,500.
In terms of price trend, we are currently in monthly downtrend (peak to peak) 📉 although on the weekly timeframe we are in an uptrend.
And on the smaller timeframes, peak-to-peak, we've been in a downtrend/distribution pattern (negative).
It's just important to note that at this time, Bitcoin and Altcoins have some serious downside potential given how elevated we are since the lows of last November.
I've already cashed out most of my positions at around $29k-30k. The remaining I will do this week.
Chiron
Chiron is conjunct to Bitcoin's midheaven at this time, so Bitcoin could have some sort of fall from grace. Midheaven is status, and chiron is teachable moments.
As a matter of fact, Chiron will be there for months as you will see in the chart of April 2024 👇 (it'll still be there! At apx 20⁰ of Aries)
April 2024
A remarkable month to look forward to for cryptos is April 2024. Jupiter will conjunct Uranus in Taurus. There will be a great shift of wealth to altcoins around that time (because Saturn will have entered Bitcoin's 9th house).
Due to the astrology my prediction is that a lot of wealth may ease out of Bitcoin over the coming years and into newer projects. Altcoins will grow in dominance in the next bullrun. Growth in Bitcoin will noticeably decelerate, until Saturn enters Aries in 2025-2026. And overall, it will never again rise as fast as it did in 2017.
By 2027 Bitcoin will have established a lot of status and reputability as a store of value, however. Saturn, will enter its 10th house.

7 Tips to Design Great Emails for increasing email conversion rates
Email conversion rates are one of the business's vital business metrics in this digital era.
Why?
To boost productivity, increase revenue and ROI and generate organic leads.
Statistically, an impressive email marketing strategy can deliver 36 times the investment done. 58% of users check their email inbox the moment they wake up. Companies are increasing their budget for this marketing domain by 37%. There are 4 billion email users. Moreover, 59% of B2B marketers consider email marketing as their top revenue-generating channel.
ü E-mail marketing revenue worldwide 2020-2027
In 2020, the global e-mail marketing market was valued at 7.5 billion U.S. dollars and the source projected that the figure would increase to 17.9 billion by 2027. The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for that period is expected to amount to 13.3 percent.
Number of e-mail users worldwide 2017-2025
Despite the growth and prominence of mobile messengers and chat apps, e-mail is an integral part of daily online life. In 2020, the number of global e-mail users amounted to four billion and is set to grow to 4.6 billion users in 2025.
ü Number of e-mails per day worldwide 2017-2025
With the internet becoming increasingly accessible, the number of e-mails sent and received globally has increased each year since 2017. In 2021, there were an estimated 319.6 billion e-mails sent and received daily around the world. This figure is projected to increase to 376.4 billion daily e-mails by 2025.
Click-Through, open and close rates
Across all sectors, the average email open rate is 18%, the click-through rate is 2.6%, and click to open rate is 14.1%.”
Why are we discussing this?
These statistical figures explain how email marketing can be the best tool to create a strong brand image.
Is it still effective in this day and age?
Email marketing is an excellent way to reach your target audience. It's easy to set up, customize, and use to build your brand, generate leads and make sales. It is a more personalized form of marketing that takes direct communication to one additional stage by sending emails to relevant people. These can contain consumers who have bought a product, taken your services, registered interest in a product/service, or any relevant target audience aligned with your niche.
Several businesses rely on email marketing to boost productivity, increase revenue and generate conversions.
Here’s why!
E-mail marketing revenue worldwide from 2020 to 2027(in billion U.S. dollars)
You will need the service from a reputed email marketing agency to distribute and segment the campaigns effectively.
7 tips for email marketing 2023
1. Segmentation of email content
A clumsy email that does not deliver the right message quickly is a major red flag to avoid. Ideally, you should segment the email body into a unique subject line, a descriptive body, and a call-to-action section.
2. Segmentation of target audience
Segmentation is also essential when sorting the right audience to receive emails. Hence, define your target audience with formal demography and online behavior so that you can configure emails accordingly. Make sure you are sending the right emails to the right people.
3. Personalization and personification
Stay precise with these two closely-related terms. Personalization is the key to making great emails that receivers can easily connect with. Personification is to add a personal voice to the email content to make that feel human. Write emails as if they want to engage the receivers in a conversation. Encourage replies and listen to what the receivers wish to say to increase engagement. Write content blocks in the emails that the readers find exciting and appropriate.
Dynamic or adaptive content reduces bounce rate and leads to more conversions.
4. Narrate a story - Storytelling is the key
Written narratives and stories resonate well with the readers. Rest assured that stories make more impact on the audience you want to approach. Engaging readers' attention will enhance to a considerable level when you tell a story about your brand and experience. Make it more personal and give credit to the customers you have. Please encourage them to become a part of your clientele. Remember to add a punch line and a call-to-action section.
5. Drip campaigns
A drip campaign can be set that will send emails automatically at the preset intervals to the list assigned or to the users who have taken action on your website. These campaigns are the best bet you can use to create a solid and lasting impression on the users who have just visited your website.
6. Mobile friendly Emails
Seek assistance from the top email marketing companies to make your email mobile friendly. The interactive elements added to the email body must fit into the mobile screens properly and deliver the right message. Remember that 53% of the population check emails on their smartphones.
7. Linking images is a must
Using images and infographics is the best way to engage the readers. Link these images with your landing pages and business website. Help land on the pages they want to visit.
Verdict
These top tips will enable your email marketing campaign to increase business efficiency and success. Include the CTAs, write interesting and appropriate content, create proper subject lines, make the emails mobile-friendly and provide links with the images.
Hire an email marketing agency to get the job done. Keep loyal customers engaged, convert leads with email marketing tools, and establish your brand.
The company caters to a diverse clientele and has a panel of skilled employees. If you wish to browse the catalog of services, drop a mail or schedule an appointment, then log onto the website. If you want more about email marketing services, visit Espial Solutions.

Day 11: Melodrama
WIth Act 4 over, we’ve finished setting up the pins on the Earth Side of this story. We are now roughly one quarter of the way through the full story - and Homestuck is set up more or less in four acts, rather than in six acts as its “official” structure would suggest.
Time to start setting up the pins on the other disc.
https://homestuck.com/story/1942
But first, some more of Andrew’s prose to detail the fallout of the Sovereign Slayer’s activity. He’s been a busy man.
Also, Rose goes off the rails, but we knew that already.
This is the part of the story where Rose becomes an antagonist, in my opinion. More on that later. More after the break.
https://homestuck.com/story/1955
A letter from another version of Earth.
One of the very first things that we learn about Jake is that one of his all time favorite movies is Weekend at Bernie’s, an association that is part of a long list of red-herrings that link Jake up with Lord English, but of which nothing ultimately comes. It’s an association mostly because Bernie is a corpse who is also a puppet (like Doc Scratch, for example).
All that has already been pointed out by a lot of people before me, so moving on.
https://homestuck.com/story/1957
Just missed her.
https://homestuck.com/story/1993
Act 5 off to a great start, and while Karkat is in many ways a parallel to John (via their shared interests), right away, this action compares Karkat to Dave. Their reaction to being misnamed by the command prompt is pretty much identical.
https://homestuck.com/story/1994
Like I said, Karkat is pretty much immediately compared to John in terms of their shared interests, what with his Terrible Taste in Movies and his Amateur Coding.
One thing that stands out as endearing to me that I’ve probably not thought so much about before is Karkat’s practicing with his Sickle in his room. It reminds me of lightsaber wielding kids on early youtube.
https://homestuck.com/story/1995
So let’s break this and the next few pages down. Viewing the narration through the same James-Joycesque lens of “Narration is more or less identical with the characters’ thought processes,” that we have been so far, Karkat seems pretty ambivalent about existing as a troll, going as far as to describe his bad dreams as *terrible.*
Do all Trolls have dreams as bad as Karkat does? Is it a chucklevoodoos thing? Maybe it’s specifically a Karkat thing.
https://homestuck.com/story/1996
Karkat gets distracted instantly by intrusive thoughts and does something else that’s very Johnlike.
https://homestuck.com/story/1998
Aw c’mon. Early Sandler isn’t even that bad. Then again, it’s been a while since I’ve watched this one, maybe it’s worse than I remember it.
https://homestuck.com/story/1999
This section of the story is even more time-agnostic than the rest of the story, and a lot of it is told in past tense prospective action, which says to me that what we’re experiencing here is the various trolls on the meteor at the End of Act 4 collectively remembering what has taken place in the past, while the parts of this segment that are narrated in the present tense are being relayed to us via the characters in the narrative present (which is to say, the events which are being relayed to us in the panel.)
https://homestuck.com/story/2008
I wonder if Troll Will Smith is a Troll Scientologist?
https://homestuck.com/story/2010
I didn’t like the Trolls very much originally. They’re so ornery and pissy with each other all the time, with the exception of Gamzee and Tavros, but on a reread, especially keeping the things in mind that I’m keeping in mind, all of these characters are a lot more tolerable.
Using the cipher that we’ve established from reading the characters as basically attempting to perform what is culturally expected of them in the first four acts, we can immediately decode what is going on between Karkat and his friends - they are trying to be the best trolls they can be, or at least, live up to certain ideals/stereotypes the way that Dave tries to live up to the stereotype of the coolguy, or John emulates the mangrit and fatherliness and so on of his father figures.
But something is way *way* more wrong with Alternia’s role models than Earth’s.
That’s all from a Watsonian perspective. From a Doylist perspective, there are very explicit stereotypes each of these characters is designed around - commonplace annoying internet people from the ‘00s (pronounce that as Naughts).
https://homestuck.com/story/2012
There’s a lot of early installment weirdness in the first bits of Troll Stuff we get where it’s clear that Andrew was riffing and trying to find clear definitions for their relationships - it’s somewhat poorly known these days, I think, but Andrew has said in the past that he hates worldbuilding, and it kind of shows. (Did I mention that Kanaya Sollux friendship back when those two were interacting not long ago? That’s another one of those bits of early installment weirdness).
Anyway, the actual bit of early installment weirdness that I’m drawing attention to is the fact that the Subjugglators are described as being an Obscure Cult here, but later Homestuck Media (and even stuff within Homestuck, honestly) will make them out to be basically the only major aspect of being a Purple Blood.
https://homestuck.com/story/2013
Gamzee’s ignorance and his bliss are pretty much immediately linked to one another.
That said, I’m not going to dive too deep into Gamzee’s inner life. Like a lot of the trolls, in spite of his great relevance, he’s a bit of a joke character, and the joke is on us - whatever is going on inside this lad’s head is a puzzle for most of the comic.
Gamzee has a Freudian excuse in the form of his absent Lusus, which incidentally, is a parallel to Jade - the Nurture is the same, but the Nature is very differently. Unfortunately, when God was handing out Natures, he gave Gamzee one of the really bad ones, so he’s a worthless goddamn piece of shit.
https://homestuck.com/story/2024
Already into the first few troll conversations, and we’re setting up some stuff for later. Gamzee and Terezi’s very first conversation demonstrates the terrible chemistry that the two have together - Gamzee legitimately unsettles Terezi, and there’s just nothing at all she can do to bother him.
https://homestuck.com/story/2025
Sollux is probably so handy with this coding language because of his ability to hear the voices of the imminently deceased - so he can write programs that will execute along a pretty reasonable time frame.
https://homestuck.com/story/2027
Leader is a phrase that ends up being used in conjunction with Karkat a lot, and the concept of leadership is another one of those things that Homestuck Talks About but not a thing that Homestuck Is About, at least in the sense that leadership as a role is part of the comic’s broader commentary on cultural reproduction, the same way that Homestuck’s conversation about gender is, or Homestuck’s conversation about Roles in general.
What do you want to be when you grow up? Karkat wants to be a leader.
As long as Sollux is making his first appearance as a character, I want to take a second to say that as a character, he’s always been pretty tough and enigmatic for me to write, especially in the sense that he‘s frequently referred to melodramatic and sensitive or similar terms by people around him, but he actually doesn’t really seem that way in most cases - he just seems like a guy who wants to his own devices, and is generally pretty non-reactive to other peoples’ bullshit. Maybe he’s melodramatic in the way that Dave is, hyping himself up as a coolguy who is the best there is, but then again, Sollux kind of lives up to his own hype, considering that up until the last possible moment, he wins pretty much every fight he’s in handily, adapts Sburb personally, and has more romantic success than just about everyone else in the comic.
Maybe Karkat’s just projecting.
https://homestuck.com/story/2031
Roleplaying - a concept that I’ve used frequently to refer to the way that John and his chums perform rituals in order to relate to their culture and parents - is made explicit through the language of Flarping, which for the Trolls, serves as a way for them to literally act out the adventures of their long-dead ancestors, although it strikes me that it’s probably a lot more gainful for highbloods like Terezi and Vriska than it is in general for lowbloods like Aradia and Tavros.
I’ll get this out of the way up front instead of commenting it on a drip feed throughout Terezi’s upcoming courtblock roleplay - Terezi is the kind of kid who aspires to be a Cop. Or a lawyer, anyway, which in Alternian Law, is the same thing as a cop. In the wake of 2020′s scads of police brutality, and in general, having grown up into a nasty commie, it’s kind of hard to look at Terezi the same way.
While it’s clear that Terezi is remorseful later on toward her earlier attitudes and behaviors, Terezi is at least ambivalent, and at worst a purely antagonistic force throughout a lot of early Homestuck because of her authoritarian tendencies and her honestly pretty psychopathic behavior. She plays games with her friends’ lives.
https://homestuck.com/story/2047
Terezi adores having power over other people and making them helpless. For Terezi, alienation takes the form of emotional distance from the people that she’s tormenting. It makes it so much easier for her to conceive of them as wicked people who need to die.
https://homestuck.com/story/2055
Nepeta is an adorable girl who deserves all the good things. All of them.
That said, as long as we’re commentating and not glurging, Nepeta’s internet troll stereotype is probably less familiar these days, and I say probably less, but I can’t say for sure - it’s like this really specific thing that existed during the late ‘00s, where you had this highly specific stereotype, which I’ll call the Furry Artist Roleplayer, and I really hope that I’m not talking out of my ass by generalizing anecodtal evidence, but I know people who were pretty much exactly the Nepeta stereotype around the time that Act 5 was being written! Roleplaying in IRCs or on specialty forums with other people, all drawing art of their anthro OCs and writing stories about each other’s characters. That sort of thing still probably exists these days, but if it does, I’m not really part of any communities anymore where it leaks into the mainstream.
https://homestuck.com/story/2058
Okay, yup, Karkat is 100% projecting “Melodrama” on all the people around him. In a literal sense, Melodrama refers to theatrics that are exaggerated and sensationalized in such a way as to appeal to the emotions, often prioritizing spectacle and physical action over deep characterization.
Actually, if we’re taking it in the literal sense of the word, just about every character in Homestuck is pretty melodramatic - I keep talking about the way that they roleplay rituals and associate with symbols even when they fail to structures of power and culture that those rituals and symbols point to - performative participation without any actual substance. That’s practically the definition of Melodrama.
But Karkat is, perhaps, the most Melodramatic of all.
https://homestuck.com/story/2065
Aradia is one of my favorite characters in Homestuck, and possibly my favorite, something I can be up front about.
Our introduction to her is brief, and right out of the gate one thing about her is apparent - her relationship with destruction is central to her characterization.
https://homestuck.com/story/2069
While I was going to wait for the Hemospectrum to come up explicitly, now’s as good a time as any to talk about the fact that Andrew uses Troll society to comment on hierarchy a lot - hierarchy of just all kinds. Ageism is one of those, and Gerontocracy in particular in Alternia. In Alternia, just one of the ways that the oppression of the Hemospectrum manifests is the way that the Empire systematically takes advantage of its children by basically leaving them completely to their own devices. Trolls don’t have family units normally, but the fact that Troll adults are all offworld is not a “natural” part of Troll Society, it’s a decision. And while it’s a decision made by the Empress, it’s still one that, to some extent, benefits adult trolls at the expense of the children, since they’re not around spending energy on raising kids who are expected to raise themselves from the word go.
It’s honestly pretty late, and I’m tuckered out because of the steroids that I’m on, and the cough medicine, so in spite of the comparatively pretty short amount of reading I’ve done tonight, I’m going to call it here.
Cam signing off, Alive and a little High.
