can i be honest? i feel like people need to get realistic about the timeline for the rwrb sequel. they announced the sequel really early because they already had plans to make one while filming and because people kept asking, and there was no press tour for the first movie. that was the press tour. it wasn't a promise that there would be another movie immediately. both matthew and casey said that they last thing they want to do is put out a rushed project and this is a good thing. sequels have a reputation of being bad, they need to get it right. as of now (jan 2025) all that we know is that they said recently that they are almost done writing the script. the scripts then need to be revised and edited, then the movie goes into pre-production. matthew is also set to direct a remake of the body guard which still hasn't been cast. casey is writing another book. nick may or may not (both are fine) want to de-bulk after masters of the universe to look in character as henry. taylor has said he has projects in the works he can't talk about yet. the rest of the casts schedule also has to be taken into consideration, not just nick and/or taylor. they probably are not going to film in 2025, and if they do it'll be late in the year. after filming (which takes 2/3 months) they will then go into post production and THEN we'll eventually get a release date. i would not be suprised if we don't see this movie until late 2026 or even 2027. and that's okay. remember, once it starts it's the beginning of the end again. enjoy this anticipatory phase and knowing there is more to come, read fic and support creators in the fandom. the time will pass anyway.

Monsoon Games: Roadmap
I'll continue to tweak this rough roadmap according to the responses I get from the google form, but here's the plan (ideal-case) for the next 1-2 years!
If you haven't filled out the form yet, please do, as answers would be super valuable in helping me better gauge, prioritize, and budget my next steps as well as tweak the pricing for the tiers!
Phase 1: Now till end-2025
Full-time urban planner
Part-time game dev.
Likely to be mostly solo-work and choice-script based
Phase 2: Beginning 2026 till end 2026
Part/Full-time game dev
Likely to involve / bring in an artist/coder, depending on eventual decision on game format (ren'py, Godot or choicescript)
Phase 3: Beginning 2027
Launch phase 2 game
Re-evaluate what to do next, likely back to my full-time job, but to KIV this based on what happens in Phase 2
Details below the cut!
Again, if you have comments, suggestions, preferences, do leave a message or email ([email protected]). If you're interested to collaborate, or to find out about what games I'm thinking of, click here.
Phase 1a
Timeframe: now till end 2025
Scope: Keep rolling out choicescript updates for CT:OS and Merry Crisis. This will form the base of content for ko-fi/patreon (with subscribers continuing to get early-releases until these games are complete).
Phase 1b
Timeframe: start sometime 2nd half of 2025, run concurrently till end 2025)
Scope: Write a choicescript 'concept demo' for 2 new games I've been haunted by over the past couple of years. (I'll release more info on this if I think they're viable). Whether or not they become more complex games, I'll at least have the choicescript demo.
Phase 1c
Timeframe: optional, but to start as soon as funding is obtained
Scope: Depending on interest, I want to consider doing a port to ren'py for Merry Crisis (or CT:OS, but likely MC) for a more visual-style game. This would involve either hiring a coder to help with the port, or doing it myself. More importantly, will need to commission art for this.
_____
Monthly-subscriptions for both Phase 1a and 1b would include the following tiers:
$3/month (existing): Just to support me :)
$6/month (existing): Early-access links to CT:OS and Merry Crisis
$9/month (new tier): Same as above + Early-content (e.g. lore, character snippets & art, non-interactive stories, dev logs) for new game(s)
$12/month (might not go for this tier, but including just as a concept): Same as above + Expanded early-content (e.g. interactive choice-script based demo access)
Phase 2a
Timeframe: Beginning 2026, probably 6-9 months or more depending on scope
Scope: With CT:OS and Merry Crisis completed, I hope to then turn my sights to converting the choicescript demo created in phase 1b into actual complete games. This could either take the form of:
A full choicescript game
A full ren'py (visual) game
A full Godot (2D) game
About 2-3 months into Phase 2a, I will also have enough content to launch a kickstarter, which would hopefully bring new backers on board and funds to speed-up production of the game(s). For folks who prefer supporting once-off instead, they'll also come in at this stage :)
Phase 2b:
Timeframe: Probably 6-9 months into 2026
Scope: Once there's a playable beta version of the game, I'll then do testing with subscribers and other beta-testers, and do de-bugging.
_____
Monthly-subscriptions for both Phase 2a and 2b would include the following tiers:
$4/month: Just to support me :)
$8/month: Subscriber-only content for all new games in development (e.g. character snippets & art, dev logs)
$12/month: Same as above + Little interactive patches/expansion packs for CT:OS and Merry Crisis
$16/month: Same as above + Expanded early-content for all new games (e.g. non-interactive stories, scene peaks/teasers, interactive twine or choicescript based playable content, access to beta version of the game when ready in phase 2b)
Kickstarter tiers:
$12 once-off for a specific project (a selection of content from the pool of characer snippets & art, dev-logs that $8/month subscribers get)
$25 once-off for a specific project (same as above + a selection of content from the pool of expanded early-content)
$35 once-off for a specific project (same as above + special perks e.g. ability to design a character or item or request chapter)
Phase 3
Timeframe: Start of 2027 onwards
Scope: When at least 1 game is launched, hopefully by start of 2027, I'll re-evaluate and see what to set my sights on next! This probably also means going back to full-time urban planning :)

Progress Update - October, 2024
It is time…the first Quarterly Progress Update for our next game starts now! And we're kicking it off with a title drop!!! Drum roll, please! Tom, if you will help me out...
Tumblr media
That's right! Heartbreaker joins the fray!
Tumblr media
For the record that’s not the real logo, just a temporary one that I slapped together.
Before we get into it I would actually like to glance back at the past and detail what our development timeline looked like for Band Camp Boyfriend. It's possible this one might look somewhat similar.
2015-2017 - Writing 2017 - Commissioned art, created social media presence 2018 - Demo released on Itch.io in August Programming hell 2022 - Demo released on Steam 2023 - Full game released
The good news is this isn’t our first rodeo and I’m hopeful there won’t be so many growing pains this time.  We're also doing 4 routes and a shorter common route so that means less suffering for us. The bad news is I worked part-time 2015-2017 so I blazed through writing and now I work full-time…and I’m old…and my memory is failing me…but it’s okay, I’ve forgotten all the pain.
This time around we want to be sure we get all the writing down before we start commissioning art.  We had the tendency to keep going back and asking for more because the game kept getting bigger (saving up money was also a factor). We’re gonna make sure we know exactly what we want this time. We’d also like to save casting voice actors for much later in the process so they aren’t waiting around for years on end. So the demo for this game will not have voice acting. I believe I wrote about this a little before in our post-mortem. We’re learning from our mistakes, woohoo!
That said, this is what we’re hopefully visualizing for Heartbreaker.
2024-2025 - Writing 2026 - Big art commissioning year, a more exciting project reveal, hopefully demo release later in the year! 2027 and on - Programming hell! Casting! Soundtrack fun!
…If this was to line up with BCB that would mean 2031 release. Oh God. No, I wanna release it in this decade, thanks. This is very tentative and we’re determined to not take 7 years this time.
Enough about that! Here is what we’ve worked on this year!
Tumblr media
Concept art: Lite was absolutely awesome (as always) and let us have sessions with her in which we worked on concept art of the main cast together. It was super helpful in bringing our visualizations to life and it will definitely aid in writing the story. I can't go on enough about how wonderful Lite is to work with, and it was amazing to watch her go. She would whip up a number of poses, face types, or hairstyles for us to choose from. It was really fun and we're very grateful for the time she spent with us.
The demo: That's right, the demo is written! Woohoo! Unlike Band Camp Boyfriend with its twisting, long-winded common route, Heartbreaker’s common route is a single day! Alex can sigh in relief because that’s one less nightmare in programming for her.
The demo will contain the one-day common route and the first two chapters of two different love interests’ routes (the other two are locked at the start of the game so you’ll just have to admire them from a distance).
Brainstorming: Ahh my favorite part…talking long walks or going for coffee and coming up with ideas. Brainstorming is ongoing and includes character profiles, world-building, and route outlines. This game has a lot more lore and world-building than BCB, so it’s more of a challenge, but we’re here for it. I've already done a badly-drawn map of the setting. Just need to finish up some profiles for minor characters and do some of my own badly-drawn concept art. Then we move on to fleshing out the route outlines.
The first route: One goal I have is to try and finish writing the first draft of the first route by the end of the year! Which is insane because October is super busy for me, but I'm sure I can buckle down when it gets colder. It's a bit ambitious, but aim high, right?
That's all I got for now! Hope you're all feeling hyped and uh, patient, because we won't be able to show you any cool art for a while. ;v; Thank you so much for sticking by us and we appreciate every single comment that has mentioned looking forward to our next game! Enjoy the rest of 2024!!!
P.S. Today is my mom's birthday and yesterday was my sister's birthday, and also my best friend's birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAAAAAYYYY to these very important people. <3

Happy New Years Eve y'all!! I just wanted to take a minute to be emo and say that starting this blog and doing all of this art, writing, introspection, analysis, and just every bit of fandom enjoyment one possibly can has been the best thing that's happened to me this year. Everyone has been wonderful, this community and fandom is so welcoming and supportive of new ideas and perspectives, I've never felt more welcome in a creative space than I have here. I love twitter n all my moots, but tumblr *really* was made for me. The way I love to talk to people, to bounce ideas off likeminded individuals, it's so *easy* here and I love it.
My resolution for 2025 is to complete a project. ONE of my many projects, I want to complete one, and I'd love for it to be something you guys enjoy. This year I'm 100% doing the Riddler Ranking Stream, count on that. I would also *love* to get at least a bit of stuff out for Gotham City Limits? Lets not make too many promises, but those are my *goals*! And ofc to keep enjoying the stuff you guys suggest/request, obviously indulging in any media that comes out in the meantime while we wait for 2027 lmao!
Thank every single one of you again for making 2024 a really great year for me. A LOT of really negative things have happened this year, but none of it has come from this experience. It's really just been all amazing. Thank you <3

Some Ideas/Headcanons for Abraxasverse GxK!
So, after having seen The New Empire, I already already have quite a few ideas for how it could fit into the Abraxasverse! I’ll write up a more thorough breakdown of how I’d do it sometime soon, but I figured I might as well start with some of the basic ideas. So, here goes!
- Just for a bit of context, I’m going by @zerm2v0hg’s awesome “Clash of Silver” fic as how the Abraxasverse’s version of GvK would’ve played out.
- Since GxK takes place in 2027, I’d have Ladon be officially introduced in 2025 and Shin in 2026 (both as Godzilla clones created by Apex), so they would both play a role in this version. Kiryu’s new body might still be under construction (since it took 5-10 years to build Mechagodzilla in canon, so I don’t know if 3 years would be enough time to finish building his second body after the first one sadly got destroyed in Clash of Silver), so I don’t know if I’d have him play a major role here, but either way his new body’s construction would be overseen by Project Powerhouse, the same division of Monarch that creates Kong’s new gauntlet in the movie. Maybe Ren Serizawa would be in charge of that project in this timeline, now that he’s not working for Apex anymore?
- For the events of The Hunted, I’d probably have it go pretty much the same way as canon, but I do love the idea of having Monster X be the one to go up against the Hunter mech rather than Kong, just because that way they’d be able to give Raymond Martin (aka Dickhead Tech-Bro) a Reasons You Suck speech while beating the crap out of his second-rate Jaeger ripoff.
- Scylla & Tiamat would probably still end up getting into fights with Godzilla or one of his sons, but while Scylla might still end up dying if the events of The Hunted play out similarly here, Tiamat probably wouldn’t, assuming that the potential backstory of her having a connection to Ozymandias is actually Abraxasverse canon.
- To give Godzilla & his allies more to do in the Abraxasverse version of GxK, I feel like it would make sense to incorporate the Xenilla arc into this portion of the timeline. So I’d have him land on the surface and start causing trouble for Team Godzilla at around the same time that Kong discovers Skar King’s hidden empire in the Hollow Earth, which would eventually lead to the final battle being a three-way battle royale between the Scarred Apes’ army (led by Skar King & Shimo), the heroic Titans (particularly Godzilla’s family, Monster X & Kong), and Xenilla.
- In this timeline, instead of Mothra being the guardian Titan of the Hollow-Earth Iwi civilization, it would be Leo. To me, that seems like a perfect way for him to be introduced into the Abraxasverse: as Godzilla & Mothra’s offspring who was born thousands of years ago, took up residence in the Hollow Earth during the Ice Age, and essentially “adopted” the surviving Iwi tribe after Skar King presumably abandoned them at some point. I’d also ditch the “prophecy” angle from the canon movie for Jia and just focus on her other connections with Kong & the Iwi, as Mothra already has a human link in the form of the Chen family.
- Godzilla’s transformation wouldn’t just be a random evolution/powerup; instead, it would be a side effect of his being badly wounded & infected by Xenilla during their first fight. Mothra would narrowly manage to cure & heal him (after taking him to Tiamat’s Arctic lair so he could absorb a bunch of extra radiation to fuel the healing process), but his appearance would still be permanently altered as a result. That’s where the elbow & tail spikes and the new color of his energy would come from, as he’d end up assimilating some of the crystal’s power for himself. As a beneficial side effect, his new form would also be immune to any further infection attempts by the Crystal Cordyceps.
- In keeping with that idea, Abraxasverse Xenilla would basically look like a fusion of the classic SpaceGodzilla and a more advanced version of Godzilla’s Evolved form, with white crystal spikes & plates, longer spikes on his elbows & tail, and red bioluminescence (to fit with the idea that the pink color of Goji’s Evolved form is a side effect of his partially undergoing that process but stopping it halfway through). I think it could also look really cool if he has crystal wings that unfold from his body when he needs to fly, and reform into a layer of extra armor around his torso when he’s on the ground. For how they’d look, I’m thinking maybe something like an all-white version of Tabuu’s crystal wings from the Super Smash Bros video games.
Tumblr media
- Shimo would actually be the key to taking down Xenilla once she’s freed from Skar King’s control, as the heroes eventually discover that while Xenilla’s crystal armor has adapted to resist Godzilla’s atomic breath, it’s highly vulnerable to Shimo’s ice-breath. As a result, it ends up being a tag-team effort from her, Godzilla & Mothra (plus Ozzy managing to fight back from within) that ultimately brings the parasite down for good. It’s tragic, of course, given their past relationships with him, but they’re able to take some comfort in the fact that their victory also allows Ozzy’s spirit to finally rest in peace.
A longer, more in-depth breakdown of what I’ve got in mind will be coming soon, but I figured I’d see what you thought of the main bullet-points first. 😄
Oooh, here we go!
I've actually reached a point where I'm willing to call The Clash of Silver a part of AbraxasVerse canon. Hey, @zerm2v0hg! Have some canonization, as a treat!
Yeah, Kiryu being out of commission for a while makes sense, and it feels fitting that he'd be handled by Project Powerhouse. Ren could definitely use a job at Powerhouse after how his gig at Apex ended... and hopefully a therapist, depending on how he's been handling the whole "nearly got electrocuted to death and something happened to his brain but he doesn't know what".
AbraxasVerse Raymond Martin I feel can definitely stand to be less cartoonishly evil than his comic counterpart; maybe instead of gleefully trying to kill a pair of cubs after slaughtering their mother, his trauma from 2014 has reached the point where he simply can't stand seeing a happy family, human or monster, because it gets into his head that that ought to be him and his family. He's still a douchebag tech-bro who hates the Titans and would probably consider Monster X a traitor of sorts for embracing their new monster existence, he's just more clearly a broken man futilely raging against forces of nature because that's all he knows what to do now.
Scylla in MonsterVerse canon is a real nasty piece of work and while AbraxasVerse Scylla is comparatively better, I won't feel bad if she still ends up dying as a result of Martin's nonsense causing her nuclear feeding frenzy; this would be a good way for Ladon and Shin to make an impression on the world, that they're willing to fight to maintain the worldly balance just like their dad. Tiamat however has potential thanks to the Ozymandias backstory and I feel she can be better utilized in AbraxasVerse, especially in light of @tosho89's ritual idea...
Xenilla showing up here would be cool... maybe he was sent out to scout the planet in case a Titan of comparable power to Ozymandias has shown up in the time since that abduction? Leo being the Hollow Earth Iwi guardian could be a neat way to tie in MV!Mothra's reworking Phosphora/Phosphera's (how is that supposed to be spelled?) placeholder role without being too jarring.
Huh, Goji nearly getting infected is a GREAT idea for the sake of tension and sheer "oh SHIT" factor! He goes out of commission for a bit while Mothra heals him and Tiamat does her ritual, and he returns to the fore more powerful than ever... at the cost of becoming a beacon for the nefarious forces behind Xenilla's existence to home in on. And I am ALL FOR Shimo having more to do!
Cool ideas all around! I'm looking forward to seeing what else you've got!

12, 14 & 19 for the end of the year asks!
fanfic end of year asks
12. favorite character to write about this year
Very good question hm...
Charles is definitely up there, he was really fun to poke around with in now entering a world (from which you will never return) even though that was mainly through Alex's eyes. Oh timeloop 2, what you could've been if I managed to write you at an appropriate pace. Next year though. Next year
Logan was also fun to write, sort of started exploring what makes him tick in fill your frink with tonic gin (this is the american dream) and finished doing that in home is only a town (youre just a guest). Very fun experience. Alex for similar reason, that once again, timeloop was the main contributor for him.
Tho actually my favorite character was Lewis I think. I've said it before somewhere on this blog but Lewis is a hard character to wrap my head around and to figure out what makes him tick. He feels larger than the sport so it is really hard for me to figure out how to make him sound... human I suppose. Anyway turns out making George disappear in san skia was a wonderful choice, 11/10, I think I have a grasp on what makes Lewis tick and I had a lot of fun writing the fic as well
14. a fic you didn’t expect to write
Answered here
19. any new fics to start next year
Oh so many. Timeloop 2 obviously but I have made substantial progress so lets yap about fics I have barely started;
First of all time travel George aka world ender (world vanquisher) is definitely on my to start list. Technically I have a few hundred words written and some extra plotted but I wouldn't say I have it really started writing.
Second of all what I call fundamentally evil Charles aka I am one of those people who fully believes that Charles plays the media game extremely well and I wanna deconstruct it. The base premise is that it is 2027, Lewis just won 8th in 2026 and retired, and now Charles is on the hunt for his first. Pov Pierre, Piarles, an over glorified character study at heart. Running title is end (a symphony), idk when I will write it cause it was meant to be my winter break project until:
Finally, a wip I have some progress on; a Geoscar fic that accidentally stole the spotlight and became my winter break project. Currently called my decline (so much better with you), the premise is that Lando wins 2025, George 2026, and for the 2027 season (...whats up with me and 2027) Oscar makes a jump into Merc and I shall not elaborate beyond that this is once again about teammate relationships. I might have a type (I'm like synth with his race engineer-driver relationships but I am here with teammate relationships instead atp. Heck)

Finishing up the journals, but for the end of the Year this time have a few things that are going to end up being a large part of projects next year and might have to finish by 2027 at the latest if there’s time since the project is not done fully but hoping to add a few sea colors along the way for more of the Creative Works with the wire wrap rings in particular especially since there’ll be less time for most of the stuff to be done by 2026 or at least done by 2025, which will be impractical at the moment as the project is done particularly in sets and therefore the final thing might be by ‘27-‘29 at the earliest. Besides also have to be done by same time for the end of the journals at most ‘30-‘34 since might not have much to write on the December side of it due to might have to wait till Jan-May to write some more. Besides, there’s very few time for the December anyhow.

FOP Fic News
Overview
I’ve always had table of contents docs for projects like Origin and Knots, and since I’m returning from hiatus, I recently moved them to a spreadsheet and mapped out what dates I should plan to upload chapters on and how long it will take me to finish these stories. I went through lots of docs with a critical eye and combined or cut chapters to get a better idea of how things are looking.
Posting at my current schedule of one chapter every other week, it looks like  Origin and Knots will come to an end in 2025 (if I stay on top of my buffer) and although that feels so far away, there’s a certain relief in it since my combining and cutting helped me bring that down from 2026.
That schedule doesn’t leave wiggle room for other projects like Come What May, the 130 Prompts, and work for my other fandoms that I’ve been drafting over the years. I don’t really like the idea that if I wrap up Origin and Knots in 2.5 years, I’ll still have another several years of Prompts left to go. I always knew these were big projects and working on them made the long years of school more fun, but it’s always been my intention to finish them, and I’d rather do that sooner than later. After all, I’m still sitting on pieces I wrote in 2016 about Cavatina, and 2026 isn’t as far away as it seems... The idea that the 10-year anniversary of his arc might hit before I actually post it leaves me shook, my dude.
I’ve given it some thought and realized that if I post 130 Prompts on the weeks between Origin and Knots chapters, I can wrap the series up in 2026, maybe 2027. I can live with that a lot more than I can live with the idea of working on this project past 2030, ha ha.
In other words, I’m setting a goal of a ‘fic update every Friday, starting soon (I’ve got the next Prompt done, but I’m sitting on it for a sec to build the buffer out farther). There might be some Fridays where there’s nothing, but keep your eyes out for things that interest you. I hope you enjoy :)
--
130 Prompt Details
So, many of you are probably familiar with my FOP one-shot series, 130 Reasons Why I’m Fairy Trash. I've had all the 130 Prompts planned out for years, but I lost interest in some of those plans as time went on (Not the big plot stuff, that's still the same, but some minor standalones).
I recently went through my docs to refresh my memory on what’s to come. I had some vague ideas that I never fleshed out and realized that I never will, so I’ve scrapped those. I also had stuff I scrapped years ago, but fell in love with the drafts all over again and am eager to see them finished off.
In 2022, I took an FOP and Tumblr hiatus to focus on other things like my IRL job and personal projects, and I couldn’t maintain the spark of inspiration for FOP at the same time. Mostly, the reason for that was just that I was busy and was putting my time and creative energy into other projects, and I simply didn’t have time for both. I didn’t realize until now, but I think I also felt pressure to create something big and meaningful with what I submitted, and I became paralyzed with thoughts of putting out something “boring” or “weird” and facing critique that my work was confusing or unenjoyable.
Anyway, while recently looking through my WIPs, I remembered the 130 Prompts were always meant to be a series of short side stories and that there’s nothing wrong with dorky little one-offs. I don’t need to put pressure on myself to turn everything into a polished 10k+ story when just a few thousand words will do, or overthink the humor and flow to the point I talk myself out of doing something.
I spent some time a bit ago looking over my stuff and making a new plan for the order I want to post things in, and it feels much more achievable to me now. I’m excited to get back to it. Hoping to post some dumb and silly things more often because “I had an idea and it made me laugh” is valid.
--
Stuff Getting Scrapped / Kept
I’ve realized that I’m not going to write Identity Theft and Acacia Arcadia as standalone ‘fics. I scrapped some scenes and the rest will be recycled into 130 Prompts to replace the ones I cut. I’ve set my plan up so that the next Prompts in line are ones that have solid drafts and I’m excited to work on, so I’m hoping to get on a regular posting schedule with those soon, alternating weeks with Origin and Knots.
Hawthorn Haven and Devil’s Backbone will prrrobably still exist as their own ‘fics someday when the time is right, as when I first made their outlines, I was already prepared to work on them “when I’m older.” I don’t feel the same pressure to finish them. I’m still looking forward to them, but they’re in “Can’t talk about these things until we’re in that point of the timeline” jail. I’ve always intended for Devil’s Backbone to be the end of my FOP writing days, so it’s on the backburner for obvious reasons, but when the time does come to close out all the stories and wonderful worldbuilding, I hope it’ll be a blast.
I do still have a draft for a ‘fic called Along the Cherry Lane which focuses on Timmy and his friends growing up, marrying, having kids, etc. but that’s on the backburner for now too. I’m not sure if I want to keep it, but also not ready to let it go. If I do let it go, I’ll find a place for the scenes I liked within the Prompts or I’ll post one or two one-shots instead of the whole ‘fic. I do intend to get back to Come What May once I get the spark back for it and I might even return to Snips and Snails... who knows.
--
Tl;dr
I still have several years of FOP content that I plan to release, as I’ve never wanted to abandon these stories I love. I knew I was starting big projects and I knew they would take me years to finish, but as my 10-year anniversary of writing FOP ‘fics creeps nearer and nearer... Yeah, there’s a certain part of me that's ready to jump back into a schedule and see if I can wrap up all three of these big projects by the time I hit that mark. Crazy how it’s been so long.
Currently I have an Origin / Knots ‘fic buffer through the end of June. We’re entering the phase of the story where the drafts are pretty solid, which means they hopefully won’t take long to polish. Exciting!
--
The Schedule
Throughout 2023, you can expect Origin and Knots to alternate weeks. These two ‘fics are main priority in my ‘fic-writing life, so they get buffer priority and I intend to keep up with this goal as best I can. If all goes according to plan, we should be wrapping up towards the end of 2025. I hope to see y’all there :)
I’ll be sprinkling in updates to other projects throughout the “off” weeks. Sometimes there might be no update at all, and I’m okay with that because the “off” weeks are simply meant to be “If there is something, it can be shared” weeks. I’m not holding myself to posting at those times in the same way I’m holding myself to keeping Origin and Knots on schedule, but I look forward to getting to share some fun things like 130 Prompts, more Come What May chapters, miscellaneous one-shots, and content for other fandoms.
Even if I stay consistent, I definitely don’t expect to wrap up the 130 Prompts until 2026 or 2027, and that’s okay. These next few years will be busy, but I’m looking forward to forming a healthy work-life balance- there’s a certain value that a scheduled writing system has in helping you look forward to the next creation you get to share... It makes the work week a little bit nicer.

As a reader, your interest in silly fairy fanfics might come and go, but thank you so much to those who’ve loved my work over the years, reblogged posts, left reviews, sent Asks, chatted with me, and so much more.
Also, thank you to those who’ve left me kudos on AO3. I still get emails every time there are kudos, and while I don’t track how many kudos my little stories receive in this old, quiet fandom, it is really cool to see how much love has been given to some of the short pieces I wrote 6 or 7 years ago.
As the years have gone by, it’s been a good reminder that people have really liked some of those pieces that I don’t think about as often as my longer stuff. I don’t need to psych myself out worrying that my quick one-shots aren’t good enough... I’m looking forward to posting some short things again soon.
Thank you for the love and support! I hope you enjoy what’s next <3

Neil is currently still writing the script for GO Season 3. David and Michael (and likely others who are necessary to the production) are currently busy with other projects. It probably won't be until much later this year, when the script is completed and submitted to Amazon, and when a budget is approved, that real planning and scheduling of the shoot can begin to happen. Actual filming is not likely to begin until spring or summer of 2025.
Without the restrictions caused by the COVID pandemic, hopefully everything can move faster than it did for Season 2, but Season 3 is still not likely to be completed and released until late 2026 or 2027. If I remember correctly, post-production on Season 2 took almost another year after the filming was completed, so I feel like this is a fairly realistic estimated timeline. I just hope that I am still here to see the finished Season 3 when it is finally released. I have become very aware of my own mortality, lately. 🙁
Well the main news is that someone was bold enough to ask Michael at stage door what the chances are of them starting filming season 3 this year and he said “non-existent” but he thinks it’ll be “early next year”

Writing Progress Post #1
So I learned that people like, blog about their writing process sometimes. Maybe we should do that! I have come to learn that writing about writing sometimes makes it easier to write later, when you can't manage to jump into it right away.
It's definitely been harder to work on this project that I want it to be. At the beginning of the year I wrote us a schedule for 2025 that would have the storyboards for the comic done at the end of the year. We already have a pretty detailed plot synopsis of the whole thing finished, and it can be broken up into 10 chapters/scenes, so that's 1 scene per month plus 2 months buffer. Seems simple right?
Yeah well, we're somehow a month into the year already, and I only managed to finish 2 storyboard pages, which were really just cleaning up sketches we already finished. And mind you I anticipate each chapter to be 20-30 pages long. So that's not working.
Turns out this is just even less of a Discovery-Writing-style book than I already thought it would be and writing scenes sequentially just isn't the way it will go. Which means pacing it so that I'm done by the end of the year is just going to be a shot in the dark.
It's so strange how our workflow for every project is just totally different from all the ones before it. Something something being plural probably has something to do with it. The workflow for this project looks like this:
Scene brainstorming(loose storyboards on paper) -> Refined storyboards (digital text so beta readers can read it) (the stage I'm in now) -> Beta reading -> page thumbs (thought this would be optional, is not optional) -> final page production
No script step at all, maybe that's because this is an action comic. Also I thought I was experienced enough to skip thumbnailing but when I sketched out the test episode we're in the middle of I absolutely regretted not doing it. Again, maybe because this is an action comic.
Anyway I also thought this brainstorming step would be optional and it was just happening organically whenever I needed to write down an idea really fast. But no I think it just needs to happen for the entire dang story. And then once I have all these disconnected scenes finished I can piece them together like a jigsaw puzzle during the refined storyboards stage. (and i do think our writing process is always going to work like this now post-syscovery but that's a story for another post)
So all that is to say, how do I set a new goal so I can finish this comic before I die 2027? Well, I'm trying to sketch out at least one page of brainstorming sketches (which is roughly equivalent to 2 storyboard pages and 2.5 comic pages) per day (Saturdays are optional because they're our busiest days at work). I set that goal last week but was only able to do one page every other day, but I guess that's better than nothing.
The new trouble is just deciding what scene to work on next. The solution is just... Whatever scene is the easiest. It seems like there's just this queue of scenes in my brain getting cooked up in the background all the time. I'm able to just pluck out whichever seems to be the most refined, and sketch that out.
So I'm a little worried about working too fast and then running that queue dry. But I guess I'll solve that problem when I get to it. I also have a feeling the pace of this queue is actually controlled by how full it is, so as long as I'm freeing up space by putting it to paper, it will always have new ideas. But try convincing my Procrastination Logic of that.
Oh and I also discovered another thing holding me up was not understanding some characters in the supporting cast well enough. So I'm getting that worked out too. I couldn't really write their introduction if I didn't know what they were like or what impression I wanted the reader to have, so jumping ahead to scenes that were more development-y and about how they impact the plot has helped too. I've been experimenting with writing drabbles and throwaway scenes that take place before the events of the book. It's hard to write stuff that won't make the final cut because it feels like a waste of time, but if it's to help figure out how the characters feel and interact with each other, it's still valuable.

2025 Writing Projects
1. Gentle Comes the Night
Tumblr media
I came up with the idea for this novel while at uni. For a creative writing course, I wrote a short story version titled "Serenity within Chaos". I didn't feel the need to write a novel version until 2023.
Currently, I have a quarter of the rough draft finished and should complete it by the end of June.
Synopsis:
Set in 1965, E ends up in a coma after getting "gay bashed" by three bigoted men. In the coma, he fights to regain consciousness.
In order to escape the void that he now occupies, he must regain all of the pivotal memories that he had lost as a result of the bashing. That means he must relive past traumas, past joys, past sorrows. After reliving these memories, he must then use his dreams, his nightmares to process them. These two things he must do while simultaneously maintaining a tenuous hold on reality. On the life occurring beyond the void. Beyond his inner turmoils and struggles.
Will he find a way out of the void or become lost in its impenetrable darkness?
This novels deals with homophobia, grief, trauma, drug addiction, self-acceptance, and PTSD.
Note: The character is autistic but undiagnosed.
2. Secrets Within
Tumblr media
In 2009, I self-published this novel, but it has since gone out of print. Before I can republish it, I need to restructure several key scenes and give it a thorough edit. I should finish the rewrite by the end of this year and get it back into print sometime in 2027.
Synopsis:
Rural Tennessee in 1959 is a place filled with bigotry and hatred, heteronormative values, and Jim Crow laws. It isn't an idea place for two boys to fall in love.
Mahal loves fashion, poetry, and sunsets. He dreams of moving away and finding a place where he belongs. Jake loves science, nature, and unusual things. He dreams of moving away and finding a place where he isn't ostracized just because of the color of his skin.
These two misfits find each other and form a cohesive bond. Will they beat the odds and find a place where they can live free, or will the men who wear white pillowcases over their heads shatter all of their hopes and dreams?
Note: Mahal has ADHD and Jake has autism, but both boys are undiagnosed.
Well, that's all I have for today. Until next time, take care and stay curious.

New Year Musings (2024-2025)
I want to take a look back on what I wrote in 2024 and muse on what I hope to accomplish in 2025
2024 was a huge fantasy genre focused year, but I'm really excited for 2025 to be super sci fi focused. I love both genres, but my sci fi style is very different from my fantasy stuff. I know a lot of folks know me for my robot fuckery, so 2025 is really gonna live up to the sex with robots year meme ✍(◔◡◔)
It's a bit lengthy, so I put more musings under the cut (❁´◡`❁)
Jan 20, 2024 - I kicked off my pen name with Rusalka!
There was so much learning that went into that story. From the writing and formatting, as well as creating cover art and illustrations - it was a big learning process. I'd written it in a fever state in 2023, and then spruced it up to publish in 2024. Within the year since I've published it I can see Just How Much my writing has changed. It's wild!! My editing brain hurt a little when I did a re-read of it last month, but the thing about writing is: stories are snapshots. I could edit for the rest of my life and have no stories to share. Rusalka may not be perfect grammatically/with formatting, but it is a step into the unknown and I can appreciate the love that brought it into the world.
Jul 10th, 2024 - the gay bugs happened with the Courting Web
I had SO much fun with that story! I adore, adore, ADORE Spark and Umbra (I already have at least 20k worth of drabbles/off shoots for them I'll eventually share). In keeping with the lesson that "stories are snapshots" I love the flexibility one offs give. As I struggled with my novel length projects, the shorts were able to stay fresh and exciting to me. There are less plates spinning plot wise, but I have the chance to pick things back up if I want to with the gay bugs. This story ended up my most popular, and I've been pleasantly surprised by the love folks have shared for them. There's only so much I can say in 10k of twink obliteration - so I hope to share some more about the characters elsewhere for those who love them as much as I do (❁´◡`❁)
Oct 13th, 2024 - Conquering The Dragon was slayingggg >;)
I've been working on a larger novel length project called Royal Rogue since 2021, which got me back into writing after a long long time. The thing is, I wasn't writing books/prose - I come from a film/stage background. So I was really struggling with all of the grammar/tense/POV stuff for it. I finished the first draft of the novel in 2023 but even then, I knew I was fighting the past version of my writing Too Much and I'd need to really do another rehaul in 2024. As a treat for finishing the first draft, I wrote Conquering The Dragon. It's set after the end of Royal Rogue and I was so torn on saving it till after the novel is finished or sharing it before. In the end, I decided to share it as an introduction to Asrir and Val (Valentine). I wanted to try something I'd never seen before, which is to drop directly into a role-play scene without the negotiation stuff happening up front. Then at the end the curtain lifts as a bit of a plot twist to show how their usual dynamic is. I am a solid dragon fucker, and this short is full of indulgent shit I want to bring to the dragon fucker community. Had a blast writing it!
2024 drafts
Novel Length: I'm a project hopper, so I was all over the place. The two biggest projects I was working on were Royal Rogue (ex-royal falls in love with a quirky dragon) and the first chunk of Bumper 2 Bumper (formula 1 inspired horny robot shit). I realized I caaaaaaaaaaaan noooooooooot work on 2 longer projects at the same time. And also, I learned that novel length stories are very difficult for me to stay interested in. Chopping Bumper 2 Bumper up to be a series of connecting story lines is what I landed on, so I can take my time writing it but share it before like 2027 :')
Sci Fi: Enter The Machine has been the one shot project I've been pondering for awhile. I knew I wanted it to be a short, but I also wasn't sure how to write the mind bending aspects of the story. I had to let it sit on the back burner while I learned more about writing. It's a tough one, but I have something Very Specific in mind and this is the story I was willing to take my time on to tell it how I want to.
✿ 2025 Goals ✿
Publish Enter the Machine
Publish episode 1 of Bumper 2 Bumper
Work on drafting out the other Bumper 2 Bumper episodes!
Finish the 2nd draft of Royal Rogue to release the full book in some form in 2026
Publish some shorts exploring Spark and Umbra's life/relationship! (I've got a holiday one, as well as some spider fuckery focused ones already getting drafted out)
Work on the cozy robot romance story drafts (this one is exploring disability for a human x robot in a coffee shop setting)
Truly the biggest thing I want is to just finally have Royal Rogue DONE. I have a lot of fantasy shorts I'd like to explore, but I know if I put it off any longer that book is going to fall into the abyss. And I have characters I really REALLY want to share with folks in it :')
OTHERWISE - LETS GO SCI FI 2025 BABYYYYYYYYY

[ad_1] DC Studios co-chairman, James Gunn defended the delay of 'Batman 2' and called it a common practice in the making of sequels. The director has defended the choice by recounting the gap between the sequels of hit films like Alien, Incredibles, Terminator, Avatar, Top Gun and others. Warner Bros. announced the new release date of 'Batman 2', recently.Marking a postponement of one year from its original release date, the film is now slated to release in theatres worldwide on October 1, 2027, reported Deadline. James Gunn justified the delay and wrote, "To be fair, a 5 year gap or more is fairly common in sequels," he wrote. "7 years between Alien and Aliens. 14 years between Incredibles. 7 years between the first two Terminators. 13 years between Avatars. 36 years between Top Guns. And, of course, 6 years between Guardians Vol 2 and Vol 3." According to the report of Deadline, Gunn confirmed the move was writing-related after the announcement. He wrote, "Sure. Yes, it is true. The only reason for the delay is there isn't a full script (those of you who follow me here probably know that already). Matt is committed to making the best film he possibly can, and no one can accurately guess exactly how long a script will take to write. Once there is a finished script, there is around two years for pre-production, shooting and post-production on big films." The vacant release date by 'Batman 2' has been taken over by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's untitled project with Tom Cruise. With the adoption of a day-and-date release plan on Max, Warner Bros. experienced tremendous success with the 2022 gritty Robert Pattinson film 'Batman' following the epidemic. As per the report by Deadline, the film earned USD 369.3 million domestically and USD 772 million internationally. In the same universe as Colin Farrell's The Penguin, the third-most-watched HBO or Max premiere season worldwide, the film gave rise to a Max series. Warner Bros. has also made some additional tweaks to its upcoming release slate. It swapped the openings of Bong Joon Ho's 'Mickey 17' and Ryan Coogler's 'Sinners.' Now, 'Mickey 17,' which stars Robert Pattinson will open on March 7, 2025, while 'Sinners,' which re-teams Coogler with Michael B. Jordan, will shift back to April 18, 2025.  [ad_2] Source link
