2025 Virgo Disseminating Moon
Friday, January 17, 17:35 UTC, 12°52 Virgo
The key phrases for the Disseminating lunar phase are “teach, share, communicate;” and “ease up on efforts with our intentions.”
One of my concerns with this particular phase is the combination of a Capricorn Sun and a Virgo Moon. It’s capable of pointing out to everyone else, at great length and in great detail, about every last mistake we’ve made and flaw we’ve exhibited. Critical, negative, and in its way more destructive than a hell-bent Scorpio.
That would be sad, because in a few more days’ time we’ll be in a much better place to exchange ideas and strategies.
We probably won’t have any trouble “easing up” if things haven’t gone well; we’re ready and willing to chuck in the towel. If things are moving right along, though, we have difficulty leaving it alone, wanting to micromanage our precious projects. Messing with it too much will create problems further down the road - we need to learn to recognize when it’s time to finish up and move on.
This is a good time to do those Virgo-Moon housekeeping and health-&-wellness type things. We’re in the right frame of mind for it, and can find good incentives.

January 13-15, when the Full Moon conjuncts Mars/Cancer and squares Eris/Aries, followed by the Capricorn Sun square Eris and opposite Mars

Et Cetera
The Aquarius Cross-Quarter Day (when the Sun reaches 15°00’00” Aquarius) is on Monday, February 3, at 14:10 UTC. A lot of energy in that chart, but lacking in perspective and overall groundedness. Even if we have a plan of action, there’s some hesitancy about getting started.

The Week Ahead: January 13-19, 2025
Executive summary: this would be a tense, unpleasant week, even if the US weren’t having a drastic regime change next Monday. Patience and empathy will be tested. The more you have, the more you’ll need…?
Lunar Phases
Monday, January 13, 22:27 UTC - Full Moon, 24°00’ Cancer
The key phrases for the Full lunar phase are “culminate, fulfill, illumine, manifest;” and “pour all our energy and effort into our intentions.” We should think of it as protecting our intentions with full, fierce Mama Bear energy.
Friday, January 17, 17:35 UTC - Disseminating Moon, 12°52’ Virgo
The key phrases for the Disseminating lunar phase are “teach, share, communicate;” and “ease up on efforts with our intentions.” The temptation will be to go off (at length and in great detail) about every last harmful mistake. Do not.
Void of Course Moon
Tuesday, January 14, 04:46 UTC (Cancer) - 09:12 UTC (Leo)
Thursday, January 16, 04:10 UTC (Leo) - 16:46 UTC (Virgo)
Sunday, January 19, 02:01 UTC (Virgo) - 03:33 UTC (Libra)
Retrograde/Direct/Etc.
Pre-retrograde shadow: Juno/Scorpio, Vesta/Scorpio (starting Friday the 17th)
Retrograde: Mars/Cancer, Jupiter/Gemini, Uranus/Taurus
Post-retrograde shadow: Saturn/Pisces
Transiting Vesta enters her pre-retrograde shadow on Friday, January 17, 05:04 UTC, at 5°21’ Scorpio. Expect some new obsession to pop up.
Ingress
Sunday, January 19, 20:00 UTC - transiting Sun enters Aquarius
Aquarius season in this chickenshit (not brave) rerun (not new) world. New alliances, new ideas, listening to each other. It isn’t left-right, it’s top-down, and Aquarius can work with that. Problems occur when we don’t get off our butts and get to work (fixed), and when we listen to only one perspective (air).
Et Cetera
There are two Opportunity Periods this week:
Tuesday, January 14, 03:48 UTC - 09:12 UTC. “This dynamic OP is good for inspiration and insights.”
Sunday, January 19, 00:48 UTC - 03:01 UTC. “A short period of productive time to get organized.”
Really tough aspects coming up, Monday through Saturday:
Mars Rx/Cancer semi-square Jupiter Rx/Gemini
Sun/Capricorn square Eris/Aries
Venus/Pisces sesquiquad Mars/Cancer
Venus/Pisces square Jupiter Rx/Gemini
Sun/Capricorn opposite Mars Rx/Cancer
Sun/Capricorn sesquiquad Jupiter Rx/Gemini
Juno/Scorpio opposite Uranus Rx/Taurus
Pallas/Capricorn square Eris/Aries
Only one of these involve fixed signs, so I think ultimately most of the issues aren’t long-lasting - just unpleasant to have to go through.
On Sunday the 19th, Mercury/Capricorn will sextile that Venus/Saturn conjunction. We can use that (if we make the choice to do so, it’s a sextile) - find some quiet time to make sense of things. There are little respites here and there through the week, and we can enjoy them - save the (over)thinking for Sunday.
(Playing around with how I want to do things, here, moving forward - if you absolutely hate something, or love something, let me know.)
