A New Toyota SUV is Coming Soon!

It’s no secret that Toyota has variety when it comes to their lineup. In North America alone we have vehicles ranging from the sporty Toyota 86 to the towering Toyota Sequoia and all include features and engineering options that make them each unique and fun to drive. For the North American market things are pretty great but we’ve been itching for something new. This new Toyota SUV isn’t that. 

Toyota of Clermont is here with the latest on a new SUV that you probably won’t see stateside!

Say Hello to the New Toyota Yaris Cross!

Toyota has been quietly releasing information on new vehicles in their lineup due to the coronavirus pandemic and so far they’ve been for markets other than North America. However, at Toyota of Clermont we like to stay up to date on all things Toyota because we’re huge fans and it may be indicative of what’s to come next at our dealership. Here’s the latest on this new Toyota SUV:

- The Toyota Yaris Cross is similar to the vehicle from where its name is derived, but this is no Yaris. The Yaris Cross will feature more room all around compared to its compact companion and the TNGA driving platform. 

- The Clermont Yaris Cross will house a 1.5L 3-cylinder engine that comes equipped with either FWD or AWD and either a 6-speed manual transmission or automatic CVT. 

- Drivers will be able to choose between either hybrid or gasoline engineering options. 

- It will also include a new touch-screen infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto programming. 

- It’s release will take place in fall 2020 for Japan and sometime in 2021 for European markets. It will likely not be coming to the North American market or Toyota of Clermont anytime soon.
