FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 1.7.2020 Vermont Bucks Football Team To Play At The Diamond Run Mall Site Starting in 2020 Zamias Services Inc and The Vermont Bucks are pleased to announce the Vermont Bucks Arena Football Team of the Elite Indoor Football League (www.eiffootball.com) will relocate to Rutland during the end of their 2020 season. The team will play its games at Castleton University’s Spartan Arena which sits on the Diamond Run Mall site. The Bucks will play two games at this location in 2020 (May and June), which will include full tailgating and plenty of family fun. Michael Sternberg, the leasing consultant for the project said, “We are working hard to bring excitement in many forms to our mixed use redevelopment project and being able to offer a full slate of arena football games is a great addition for the site and the community”. The Vermont Bucks is an arena football team that began play in 2017 in Burlington and has since been rebuilt and re-branded under new ownership.  The team prides itself in being "Vermont's Team" with a roster comprised of mostly Vermont players and a mission of building community around the game of football. "We are grateful for the opportunity to bring a family fun experience to Rutland County!  The team is looking forward to becoming a part of the community and growing football throughout the State of Vermont.  Working with Zamias Services Inc and Castleton University allows us to build strong partners and set our team up for success", said Joanna Morse, owner of The Vermont Bucks.
