© Marc Urbano - Car and Driver 10Best: Ram 1500
Show us a vehicle that does it all and we'll show you a vehicle that's compromised in everything it does. That's the story of most modern full-size pickup trucks, which play a role that's part family SUV, part commercial vehicle, part luxury car, and part circus strongman. Sure, your truck tows an impressive 10,000 pounds, but chances are it rides like a tractor, especially with a bed full of nothing but air.
The Ram 1500 can't entirely escape these trade-offs, but it balances and minimizes them better than any truck on the market. Thanks in large part to the coil springs (or optional air springs) at each corner, the Ram rolls over broken pavement with exceptional civility. It goes down the road feeling more like a Mercedes-Benz GLS-class than a Ford F-150. It's the truck that can convincingly shrug off its agrarian roots to make the trip to Pottery Barn in comfort.

The awesome 702-hp Ram 1500 TRX carries its own predictable set of compromises: single-digit real-world fuel economy, a $71,790 starting price, and running boards so high they should come with a sign warning, 'You must be this tall to enter.' Surprisingly, though, on-road manners are not on that list. For a truck that's built for desert running, dune bashing, and hill jumping, the TRX is unexpectedly delightful on paved roads. It uses soft long-travel springs to absorb big off-road hits, but rather than squishing and pitching and rolling around in traffic, the TRX ratchets up the stiffness of its adaptive dampers in pavement-oriented driving modes, giving the truck a sense of control on the road that's absent in its only competitor, the Ford F-150 Raptor.
© Marc Urbano - Car and Driver 10Best: Ram 1500
In domesticating the American workhorse, Ram has built the best pickup for the way most of us use trucks today: as everyday transportation instead of as a special-purpose tool, moving people more often than payload and on suburban streets rather than in farm fields. On upper trim levels, Ram dresses the 1500's cabin with an attention to detail that shames many luxury cars. At 70 mph, it's as quiet as a church during the Super Bowl. For city slickers and cowboy commuters, the clever optional RamBoxes offer weather-tight, lockable storage that keeps cargo out of sight and out of the cab.
Our 10Best honor covers the full 1500 range, from the 305-hp base V-6 to the 702-hp TRX. Between those bookends, there's a diesel V-6 that scores up to 32 mpg in EPA testing and a 395-hp V-8 available with or without the eTorque 48-volt motor-generator. (We recommend going without it based on our 40,000-mile long-term test.) With any engine, the Ram is up for hard labor, but living with this truck is a reminder that the numbers—horsepower, tow ratings, and payload capacities—tell only part of the story. The eight-speed automatic is always ready to drop the engine into the powerband. The uncanny ride quality translates to great body control in curves. Every element feels as if the engineers made it a point to polish the pickup truck's rough edges.

© Marc Urbano - Car and Driver Ram builds the perfect truck for a world where pickups can be SUVs and luxury vehicles, too.
We're still car people at heart. We like the sure-footed handling of vehicles that are light and relatively low to the ground, and we typically respect the utility of a truck with an emotional detachment. But the Ram is so uniquely good to drive that it transcends the pickup-truck status quo. When we say that the Ram 1500 is the full-size truck that comes closest to driving like a car, we mean that as a high compliment. Why drive a big lumbering brute when you can drive a big nimble brute?

© Marc Urbano - Car and Driver 10Best: Porsche Macan
You should know that the Porsche Macan shares some of its components with humbler and cheaper models from elsewhere in the Volkswagen Group. You should know this not because it matters but because friends and casual acquaintances are likely to share this information in the belief it makes the Macan less of a Porsche and anyone who buys one less of a judge of cars.
You know better, though. If you're not looking for a low-slung sports car, this is the pick of Porsche's range, even if it is currently the oldest member of the clan. In engineering, as in high-end hash slinging, the finest chefs can turn even humble ingredients into truly sublime creations.

While the Macan looks like an SUV, it doesn't drive like one. Smaller and more agile than the Cayenne, it can be hustled like an oversized hot hatch. You sit higher from the ground, but the Macan corners with a deftness and adjustability completely at odds with its shape and stance, resisting understeer about as well as anything with an engine up front thanks both to its huge traction and its willingness to play.
As in previous years, the Macan's 10Best award is restricted to the V-6 models, all of which use turbocharged engines shared with other Porsche and Audi vehicles. The list now includes the newly arrived 375-hp GTS, which occupies the narrow niche between the 348-hp Macan S and 434-hp Macan Turbo. The GTS is our pick of the range due to its combination of sonorous performance, a pliant ride, and steering that gets amazingly close to the feel and precision of Porsche's sports cars. We took the GTS to a racetrack during 10Best testing—the only SUV to make that cut—and were charmed that it's not just competent but every bit as entertaining as the two-door 10Best winners. This rare spread of talents means that one Macan can effectively turn your single-car garage into a multi-horse stable.

How Tesla defined a new era for the global auto industry
By Edward Taylor, Norihiko Shirouzu and Joseph White
FRANKFURT/BEIJING/DETROIT (Reuters) – Tesla Inc’s rapid rise to become the world’s most valuable carmaker could mark the start of a new era for the global auto industry, defined by a Silicon Valley approach to software that is overtaking old-school manufacturing know-how.
Tesla’s ascent took many investors by surprise. But executives at Daimler AG, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz, had a close-up view starting in 2009 of how Tesla and its chief executive Elon Musk were taking a new approach to building vehicles that challenged the established system.
Daimler, which bears the name of the man who invented the modern car 134 years ago, bought a nearly 10% Tesla stake in May 2009 in a deal which provided a $50 million lifeline for the struggling start-up.
That investment gave Mercedes engineers an inside view of how Musk was willing to launch technology that wasn’t perfect, and then repeatedly upgrade it, using smartphone style over-the-air updates, paying little regard to early profitability.
Mercedes engineers helped Tesla develop its Model S luxury sedan in exchange for access to Tesla’s partially hand-assembled battery packs, but in 2014 Daimler decided to sell their stake amid doubts Tesla’s approach could be industrialized at scale.
Tesla would go on to pioneer new approaches in manufacturing, designs in software and electronic architecture which enable it to introduce innovations faster than rivals, leaving analysts to draw comparisons with Apple.
Three people directly involved with the Mercedes side of the collaboration said the brief partnership highlighted the collision of old and new engineering cultures: the German obsession with long-term safety and control, which rewarded evolution, and the Silicon Valley carmaker’s experimental approach which embraced radical thinking and fast innovation.
“Elon Musk has been walking on the edge of a razorblade in terms of the aggression with which he pushes some technologies,” said a former Mercedes engineer who worked on the partnership.
By contrast, Mercedes and other established automakers are still not comfortable about releasing a new technology, such as partially automated driving, without years of testing.
Tesla did not respond to requests for comment.
Investors favor the Tesla model, in an industry undergoing fundamental and dizzying change even though the U.S. carmaker will face an onslaught of competing electric vehicles from established automakers during the next few years.
They are putting their money on Musk and his company, even though Mercedes-Benz alone sold 935,089 cars in the first half of 2020, dwarfing the 179,050 delivered by Tesla in the same period.
Today, Tesla is worth nearly $304.6 billion, more than six times Daimler’s 41.5-billion-euro ($47.7 billion) market capitalization. See GRAPHIC: https://tmsnrt.rs/3fRM9Yu
TWO CULTURES COLLIDE
Daimler and Tesla began collaborating after Mercedes engineers, who were developing a second-generation electric Smart car, bought a Tesla Roadster. They were impressed by the way Tesla packaged batteries, so arranged a visit to Silicon Valley to meet Musk in January 2009 and ordered 1,000 battery packs.
The collaboration expanded. At a joint press conference in the Mercedes-Benz museum in Stuttgart in May 2009, Tesla said the partnership would “accelerate bringing our Tesla Model S to production and ensure that it is a superlative vehicle”.
For its part, Mercedes wanted to use Tesla’s batteries to power an electric version of its compact Mercedes-Benz B-Class. The Tesla Model S would hit the road in 2012. An electric B-Class, arrived in showrooms two years later.
Despite having batteries supplied by Tesla, the Mercedes had a shorter operating range after Daimler engineers configured the B-class more conservatively to address their concerns about long-term battery degradation and the risk of overheating, a second Daimler staffer who worked on the joint projects told Reuters.
German engineers found that Tesla engineers had not done long-term stress tests on its battery. “We had to devise our own programme of stress tests,” the second Daimler engineer said.
Before starting production of a new car, Daimler engineers specify a “Lastenheft” – a blueprint laying out the properties of each component for suppliers. Significant changes cannot be made once the design is frozen.
“This is also the way you can guarantee that we will be profitable during mass production. Tesla was not as concerned about this aspect,” the second Daimler source said.
Daimler’s engineers suggested the underbody of the Model S needed reinforcing to prevent debris from the road puncturing a battery pack, the first Daimler engineer said.
To quash doubts about safety and security, following a series of battery fires, Tesla raised the ride height of its vehicles, using an over-the-air update, and a few months later, in March 2014, said it would add a triple underbody shield to new Model S cars and offered to retrofit existing cars.
Musk was able to make adjustments quickly thanks to Tesla’s ability to burn through more cash during development.
“At Mercedes you can make such adjustments every three years at best,” the engineer said.
The Model S, a four-door electric sedan would go on to outsell the flagship Mercedes-Benz S-Class in the United States in May 2013, and outstrip S-Class deliveries globally by 2017.
MUSK: INNOVATE OR GO
Musk’s relentless focus on innovation explains, in part, why he has disrupted the traditional auto world. In an interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sp8smJFaKYE at the 2020 Air Warfare Symposium, published on YouTube, he was asked about the importance of innovation among his employees.
“We certainly need those that do advanced engineering to be innovative,” Musk said. “The incentive structure is set up … such that innovation is rewarded. Making mistakes along the way does not come with a big penalty. But failure to try to innovate at all … comes with a big penalty. You will be fired.”
Established automakers are playing catch-up to Tesla, designing their own software operating systems and dedicated electric cars.
Mercedes will release its EQS next year – a four-door limousine built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform, with an operating range of 700 km. A new version of the Mercedes S-Class, which will have combustion and hybrid powertrains and semi-autonomous driver assistance systems, is due this year.
From an investor perspective, traditional players face billions of dollars in restructuring costs as they transform product lines and factories to move away from internal combustion technology
“No one is going to give an OEM (established automaker) a five-year window to say … you can totally retool your business, and I am going to buy in and fund this journey,” said Mark Wakefield, co-leader of automotive and industrials practice at consulting firm AlixPartners.
Start-ups, however, get time from investors to learn, make mistakes and grow, he added.
Investors are betting on Tesla’s ability to scale up manufacturing just as they once backed Toyota Motor Corp, which defined the auto industry’s last era with its mastery of highly efficient, high-quality lean production.
Toyota overtook the market capitalization of former industry leader General Motors in 1996, though it wasn’t until 2008 that it sold more vehicles than its Detroit rival.
The Japanese giant also cultivated ties with Tesla, with the U.S. startup helping it design an electrified RAV4 compact sports utility vehicle under a 2010 deal.
Toyota was impressed by the speed with which Tesla came up with the new design, but ultimately decided Tesla’s methods were not suitable for mass production by a mainstream manufacturer when Toyota’s standards for product quality and durability were applied, two company insiders familiar with the partnership said.
Toyota said the joint project involved cooperation on the development of electric cars, parts and production system.
“Toyota accomplished what the project set out to achieve, and it ended in October 2014 after Tesla delivered roughly 2,500 electric powertrain systems over three years” for an electrified RAV4 crossover SUVs, a spokeswoman said.
Both the Toyota and Daimler collaborations were agreed before the Volkswagen emissions-cheating scandal in 2015, which prompted a global regulatory backlash and forced carmakers to step up investments in electric cars.
“That was all before dieselgate, which changed the economics of electric and combustion-engined cars,” a senior Daimler manager said. “Tesla has a lead. Let’s see if they can scale up.”

2020 BMW Z4 M40i Review: Against All Odds
The day before BMW turned a troupe of auto journo types loose around the Lisboa region of Portugal in the all-new Z4, the Bavarian carmaker allowed us to sample roadsters from glory days past. Sadly there was no touching the gorgeous 1939 BMW 328 parked in front of the sprawling Penha Longa Resort adjacent to the former Estoril F1 circuit. We were, however, allowed to sample the Z1, Z3, and Z8. The Wacky-doored Z1 drove just like an E30 325i if you removed all damping and structural rigidity. Fun, but perhaps not for reasons the factory intended. The supermodel-gorgeous Z8 featured slow, recirculating ball steering, dumpy suspension, and a muted soundtrack. Still, the near-magic hustle of the 394-hp naturally aspirated V-8 is a reminder that things used to be better. Especially when you slam the 3-4 shift at wide-open throttle. Oh, baby! The best-driving roadster of the bunch, it turned out, was a seafoam-green, neoclassical-looking Z3. What a thing of (handling) beauty. The last BMW ever to feature the brand’s old trailing arm rear suspension setup, only 10 open-air miles were enough to remind us why the Ultimate Driving Machine used to be such a spot-on mission statement. We spent the rest of the day looking up used Z3 prices. Not kidding.
The new BMW Z4 only exists because Toyota wanted a new Supra. And just like what ToMoCo did with Subaru for the BRZ/86, Toyota put up the cash and BMW engineered all the hardware. Call it what you will—joint venture, badge engineering, brand dilution, or a savvy way to build sports cars in the age of the SUV—the more go-fast toys in the world, the better. I harbor no ill will or animosity toward either carmaker. Car geeks now have two more sports cars than we did before: gear heads rejoice! Getting more granular, how good could a BMW be that’s cost-engineered to also work as a Toyota? Also curious is the fact that—because the hardware between the two cars is identical—software and suspension tuning are all that will separate them dynamically. Who at BMW is capable of taking a parts-bin special and making it, well, special?
Meet Jos van As, the man responsible for the Z4’s kinematics. I had the pleasure of chasing Herr van As around Estoril for multiple laps, and let me tell you, homeboy can drive. It’s hard to stress exactly how crucial it is to have hot shoe development engineers when you want to build sports cars. Front-engine and rear-drive might seem like a simple, time-tested sports car formula, but I’m continually amazed at how many carmakers struggle. I’m certainly happy to report that the Z4 is a solid entry into the segment.
Let’s talk a little hardware. I only drove the new Z4 M40i, but there will also be a Z4 sDrive30i with a four-cylinder engine. Under the M40i’s polarizing skin sits the latest version of BMW’s ubiquitous 3.0-liter inline-six. Featuring a single twin-scroll turbo, this engine is good for 382 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Want to hear the crazy part? In Europe, the M40i makes less power! In your face, you socialized medicine peoples! I’m giddy about this because BMW has a long tradition of shipping weaker, wimpy Bimmers over to the States while spreading the good stuff around the Continent. Not this time! Reasons why? A particulate feature on the gas engine and a softer exhaust system help the M40i comply with EU regulations. I think most red-blooded Americans would happily accept a little lung cancer and tinnitus in exchange for 45 extra ponies. The I-6 mates up to the familiar ZF eight-speed automatic; only the rear wheels are driven. BMW claims a 0–60 time of 4.4 seconds.
I asked the Z4 project manager Oliver Jung which cars BMW benchmarked while developing the new Z4. He told me the two competitors they initially looked at were the Audi TT roadster and the Mercedes-Benz SLC. Internally, Jung’s team looked at the M240i convertible. Quite quickly, he told me, the team surpassed all three of those targets, so they next looked at a new bogey, the Porsche 718 Boxster S. A harder target for sure, as the Boxster is one of the best-handling convertibles on earth. How close did Jung’s team get? From my perspective, the mid-engine Porsche is still the handling king. However, in every other category the BMW is the better roadster. Ride comfort and quality, luggage capacity, interior quality, and of course sound—something essential to the roadster experience. And keep in mind that the Z4 M40i I drove has the muted European soundtrack.
With the top dropped, the new Z4 is a comfortable place. Wind noise is surprisingly low, and even at extralegal freeway speeds, you can carry on an inside-voices conversation with your cabin mate. The ride in Comfort mode is quite good, and even in Sport or Sport Plus, it remains refined and composed. Actually, refined and composed isn’t a bad way to describe the new Z4 as a whole. Push it hard on the street and no bad habits emerge. The steering is good: direct, solid, and with enough feel to pacify even the most ardent EPAS haters. The handling is neutral: I never felt a drop of understeer, and even with the traction control set in Sport, there wasn’t any oversteer, either. Blame the abundance of mechanical grip. If I have any complaints about the Z4’s street driving, it’s that you can feel the weight. BMW isn’t saying, but I’d guess right around 3,600 pounds. We weighed a PDK-equipped 718 Boxster that came in at 3,160 pounds, and a six-speed manual version that was 3,079 pounds. As competent and confidence-inspiring as the Z4 M40i is on the road, the car would be more exciting if it were lighter.  More dynamically satisfying, too.
On the track you really feel how hefty the Z4 is. The rear end stepped out when I pushed the car hard (in fairness to BMW, Estoril was repaved a couple of months ago and the surface is still slick—though not as slick as when I drove the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ). Understeer never reared its head, but I never thought I was driving the (not announced but inevitable) Z4 M. There’s a sweetness missing from the mix, a sweetness I experienced behind the wheel of the old Z3. Although remember, I wasn’t in the Z4’s more powerful American version. In my experience, more power is often the answer. Are people going to track the Z4 M40i? Most likely not, but if an owner did, they wouldn’t be mad. Especially here in the States.
As simply a sports car/luxury convertible, the new Z4 almost stands alone. Sure, the muscular Americans—Mustang, Camaro, and even Corvette—make more power and go a little quicker, but they have nowhere near the refinement of this German. Like Jung told me, the Z4 bests the SLC, the TT, and BMW’s own 2 Series convertible. All that’s left really is that Porsche 718 Boxster. Taking racetracks out of the equation for a second, I’d rather go for a long drive in the Z4. Convertibles make up less than 1 percent of the cars sold in America. The new BMW Z4 may not improve that statistic, but it sure won’t hurt.

2018 Acura Mdx Advance Package
New Post has been published on https://www.acuracarshq.com/2017/06/2018-acura-mdx-advance-package.html
2018 Acura Mdx Advance Package
2018 Acura Mdx Advance Package – A brand-new paint color or two and higher costs. That’s all to expect with regard to the 2018 Acura MDX following a significant refreshing for models year 2017. This new 2018 model will carry over the improved styling, included safety functions, and option for hybrid modle which will updated this specific 7 passenger quality mid-size crossover SUV. That, nevertheless, may not suffice. The new 2018 MDX has also been Acura’s very popular car for practically 20 years, yet income soaked nearly 9 percent within the first 3 quarters of 2016, while sales within the segment rose 14 percent. Certainly, the MDX now contends with the compact-premium RDX as Acura’s leading seller. Why should I await the New 2018 Acura MDX? Acura made a currently superior crossover better for 2017, and any 2018 changes will likely be limited to additions of paint alternatives to the body and dollars to the sticker label rate. We ‘d like to see Honda’s premium brand name make blind-spot alert with rear cross-traffic detection standard throughout the board; for ’17 it was offered only on MDXs equipped with one of two expensive alternative plans.
Should I buy a 2017 design instead?
Absolutely. MDX represents its Japanese roots by providing remarkable worth for the money, providing a premium experience at countless dollars less than segment rivals such as the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE. That’s underpinned by a track record of top-flight reliability, resale worth, and customer support. Don’t try to find lineup changes in between the ’17 and ’18 models. Acura provides the MDX in base trim and essentially builds rungs of the design ladder via four extra-cost plans: the Tech Bundle, the Tech and Entertain Bundle, the Advance Bundle, and the Advance and Home entertainment Bundle. Look for the MDX Sport Hybrid continue in two grades called Technology and Advance.
Will the styling be unique?
No. MDX had a fresh appearance for 2017, a lot of undoubtedly in front, using the upside down pentagonal grill with large Acura logo design that will characterize the face in the brand name moving forward. The standard “Gem Eye” LED car headlights had a facelift also, in addition to the cover, front and back fasciae, as well as rear fender. Anticipate an unchanged interior in terms of style and performance. The chauffeur, front traveler, and second-row occupants will again have plenty of area on really comfy seats. The 3rd row will retain sufficient room for children and small adults, though you need to continue to planning to a little larger rivals such as the Infiniti QX60 for real grownup-grade third-row lodgings. Because the traveler side of the MDX’s second-row seat can power forward with the touch of a single button, accessing the 3rd row is made a little simpler. Our only major gripe is the control setup. A lot of audio and environment functions are incorporated into a main control panel touchscreen that can be fairly sluggish to respond to user inputs. Also, some essential functions are buried under layers of submenus. If you need to make changes while owning, that can be sidetracking. Matters are further made complex when you add the navigation system that’s included in the optional Technology and Advance plans.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Any mechanical modifications?
No. Part of MDX’s 2017 upgrade included a brand-new transmission in addition to intro of a gas/electric hybrid design. Anticipate these to bring over with no changes for 2018. Conventional MDX models use a 3.5-liter V-6 that ought to again have 290 horse power and 267 pound-feet of torque. It’ll continue to group with the 9-speed automated transmission that changed a 6-speed automated for ’17. Front-wheel drive is standard. e Acura’s Super Handling Four-wheel drive (SH-AWD) is a $2,000 alternative. Unlike the rival Lexus RX 450h hybrid, Acura’s MDX hybrid stresses performance over all-out fuel efficiency. Dubbed “Sport Hybrid,” these MDX models have a 3.0-liter V-6 gas engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automated transmission.
Will fuel economy enhance?
The EPA states the traditional 2017 MDX will accomplish 19/27/22 mpg city/highway/combined with front-wheel drive and 18/26/21 mpg with SH-AWD. Designs equipped with the optional Advance Bundle acquire an engine idle stop/start function that shuts off the engine while stopped and instantly reboots it when the chauffeur launches their foot from the brake pedal. ” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>2018 Acura Mdx Advance Package Official estimates for the 2017 MDX Sport Hybrid were not readily available in time for this report. Acura states it will accomplish 25 mpg city/26 highway, which would result in a 25-26 mpg combined rating. They likewise have an idle stop/start system, but unlike a lot of other gas/electric cars, they can not run exclusively on battery power for any duration. The gas engine in these models is capable of turning off 3 of its cylinders at cruising speeds in order to save fuel, which might result in the EPA-estimated highway score being a little higher than Acura’s forecast.
Does it get fresh attributes?
Possibly not. Since formerly specified, Acura might try to make blind-spot alert system by using rear cross-traffic recognition standard on all models for 2018 model, however most likely, the entire model/feature variety is going to carry over the same. These safety functions include lane-departure warning with automated steering correction to assist keep you in your lane; radar-based adaptive cruise control; forward-collision alert; pre-collision brake assist; and a blind-spot cam that runs likewise to the LaneWatch system offered on numerous Honda-brand cars. The addition of automated emergency braking permits all MDX design to make “Leading Security Select+” honors from the influential Insurance Institute for Highway Security. The Technology Bundle need to again cost approximately $4,400 as well as net blind-spot by using rear cross-traffic alert sytem; remote control engine start; rain-sensing windshield wipers; GPS-linked automated environment control; Acura’s upscale ELS sound system; in-dash Gps device; and also AcuraLink telematics with support for email, SMS texting, and Apple’s Siri Eyes Free. Designs using the Technology Bundle need to again be eligible to add the Advance Bundle. Around $6,040, it’s going to include aerated front car seats; heated steering wheel (an MDX first); heated up second-row captain’s chairs by using in-door sun-shades; LED fog lights; front- and back-obstacle recognition; as well as a bird’s eye camera system. Rear DVD home entertainment need to stay readily available for $2,000 on versions equipped using the Technology or Advance bundle. The Sport Hybrid function set wasn’t offered in time for this sneak peek, however we be expecting it to reflect that of its gas-only MDX siblings.
How 2018 prices be totally different?
The fully equipped 2018 MDX Base design with front-wheel drive will probably begin at or a little higher than $45,000, inclusive of location cost, which was $940 on the 2017 MDX. Per Honda/Acura custom, alternative plans are priced as different models. Rates for that 2017 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid will probably be revealed better to its early spring 2017 on-sale date. We expect to see those models to vary from $48,000-$ 60,000. Add an extra $500-$ 1,000 for the 2018 edition.
Release Date for 2018 Acura MDX
Look for a 2018 Acura MDX release date in autumn 2017. Finest rivals Buick Enclave,Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, BMW X5, Infiniti QX60 F-Pace ,Audi Q7, Jaguar, Porsche Cayenne and Volvo XC90 What adjustment could make it much better? The addition of blind-spot plus back cross-traffic alert as standard equipment on all models would be our number selection on a very short list of enhancements we would make to the 2018 Acura MDX. Much more headroom along with leg-rooms for 3rd row passengers would be great, too, but don’t depend on something like this to happen until the next MDX redesign, which is on track for the 2020 model-year.

Rear DVD home entertainment need to stay readily available for $2,000 on versions equipped using the Technology or Advance bundle. The Sport Hybrid function set wasn’t offered in time for this sneak peek, however we be expecting it to reflect that of its gas-only MDX siblings.

2018 Acura Mdx Advance Package
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
