A Week In the 2020 Lincoln Aviator Black Label Grand Touring
For much of the last several decades, Lincoln’s haven’t had much clout. Cadillac, on the other hand, had and has the Escalade, the preferred ride of both celebrities and the supposed cool moms in the elementary school pickup line. Even a grade schooler could tell that the Navigator and Aviator were second fiddle to General Motors’ high-end offerings, at least as far as ostentatiousness was concerned.
Lincoln has now made great strides to improve its reputation, thanks to an assault of new products bearing fresh names and sharp styling. The Aviator, particularly in its Black Label Grand Touring guise, is perhaps the most well-honed weapon in Lincoln’s new-car onslaught. The three-row Lincoln SUV still shares its platform with the Ford Explorer, but you are hard pressed to find many visual cues to give away that fact, whether inside or out.
The 2020 Lincoln Aviator Black Label Grand Touring press car’s sheetmetal remains emblematic of Lincoln’s new form. It has a square jaw and a grille that manages to avoid gaping wide in the same way as luxury rivals BMW, Genesis, and even Volvo. Its roofline drops off with an elegant taper, making it look ever so much more elegant than its larger stablemate, the Navigator. Those who hate chrome may be appalled by its styling, but in my opinion the silvery strips highlight its body lines and endow it with an overall appearance not unlike that of a concept car. In no way does it give away its shared platform with the Explorer, beyond having swept-back rear-wheel-drive proportions.
Lincoln Aviator interior Flying Theme is “Whoa!”
On the inside, the only big tell that this product has anything to do with Ford is a reskinned version of the Sync 3 infotainment system, which happens to be a great interface – no harm there. Outside of the screen, materials are phenomenal. Soft-touch surfaces wrap much of the cabin, and Aviator’s interior appointments depart from Ford in an even greater way than the Navigator’s cabin. As someone who’s not typically a fan of piano black surfaces, the Aviator’s shiny plastic seems to be executed beyond my expectation. There’s also a great bit of polished metal in the cabin, thanks to the so-called Flight Theme, adding an overall aesthetic that made my younger brother say, “Woah!” when he peeked inside the car. This interior is on par with the Aviator’s German rivals; the fit and finish are just that good.
Its dynamics don’t belie its athletic appearance, either. Our test car boasts a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine under the hood, which turns out 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. It also gets some help in the form of a permanent-magnet synchronous AC motor, which provides 101 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque, for a combined output of 494 hp and 630 lb-ft. On the road, that translates to a lot of capability. It’s all routed through a 10-speed automatic gearbox that works in tandem with a hybrid transmission.
Off the line, this translates to a 0-60 mph time of 5.4 seconds. That’s a huge feat, literally, because the Aviator tips the scales at a hefty 5,673 pounds. Freeway pulls feel just as forceful. In fact, Lincoln’s SUV feels a bit like a pugilist in a suit, brandishing its strength in a package that conceals its might.
Lincoln Aviator battery power and range
I drove the Aviator Grand Touring both with and without charge in the battery. When charged, it can drive entirely on electric power at speeds up to 80 mph. When depleted, acceleration is still quite mighty. I also was able to gain about a mile of charge for every 20 minutes, and it’s great to get some more torque after there’s juice in the battery. Unfortunately, the Aviator can only charge with a Level 2 charger, meaning that I was only able to get a mile back of its 23-mile total range in a 20-minute session.
I quickly forgot about this drawback when I hit the road again. Thanks to its adaptive suspension and multiple drive modes, it’s easy to configure the Aviator to ride in a manner most pleasurable for a given situation. I tended to switch the drive mode over to “Excite—sport mode in regular car-speak. This makes the steering a lot more responsive and stiffens up the suspension. The Aviator becomes pretty nimble in this drive setting, and I was able to chuck the big SUV through almost any freeway ramp I could find with the utmost confidence. It’s easy to appreciate that in general Lincoln has set out to make luxury cars that drive well without also expecting them to also miraculously be track rats as well. The envelope of performance seems focused on what’s attainable within a reasonable limit on the street, meaning that very little comfort or convenience is sacrificed in the name of sporty driving.
Black Label trim is worth the money
Everything I’ve raved about comes standard as part of the Lincoln Aviator Black Label trim level. As equipped, this test car bares a price tag of $88,895 after destination and delivery charges. For the money, it’s loaded to the teeth. Just about every expected luxury feature is present, from heated, cooled, and massaging seats to soft-close doors. The B&O sound system is enhanced by the whisper-quiet cabin, and the air suspension offers a well-damped but compliant ride. Not to mention, the Aviator has a robust compliment of parking technology, including a 360-degree-view parking camera
For the sake of comparison, build a Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription in the online configurator. It’s one of the Lincoln’s closest competitors, due to its hybrid system. In order to match its features to the Aviator, the price ended up soaring to just more than $91,000. When I price-checked similarly equipped German cars, these too zoomed past the Aviator’s MSRP with ease. Not only is Lincoln’s offering exceedingly well-executed, but its top-trim level delivers on value as well.
From my full week with the Aviator, it has become apparent Lincoln is working hard to ditch the reputation it rightfully earned in the ’90s and 2000s. The Aviator Grand Touring succeeds by embracing new technology and blending it with traditional luxury. The mix of electrification and old-school gas-powered muscle offers experiences that range from silent cruising to brutal acceleration. High-quality materials, state-of-the-art safety systems, and modern convenience features leave little to be desired. Now it’s Cadillac’s turn to start chasing clout.
2020 Lincoln Aviator Black Label Grand Touring Specifications ON SALE Now PRICE $88,895 (base)/$88,895 (as tested) ENGINE 3.0L twin-turbo DOHC 24-valve V-6/400 hp @ 5,500 rpm, 415 lb-ft @ 3,000 rpm MOTOR Permanent magnet/101 hp, 221 lb-ft COMBINED OUTPUT 494 hp, 630 lb-ft BATTERY Li-Ion, 13.6Ah TRANSMISSION 10-speed automatic LAYOUT 4-door, 6-passenger, front-engine, AWD SUV EPA MILEAGE 23 mpg (combined) L x W x H 199.3 x 82.3 x 69.6 in WHEELBASE 119.1 in WEIGHT 5,673 lb 0-60 MPH 5.4 sec TOP SPEED 145 mph (est)

2020 Sonata đŸ‡°đŸ‡·đŸ”„______________________________________ [3/27/19] The 2010 Sonata reshaped the brand with its bold and radical styling at the time, but the midsized sedan became full again....untill now! Hyundai has taken a radical bold step with their new 2020 Sonata, taking design from their fancy Le Fil Rouge concept! The main highlight is the design features a coupe like roofline, a sharp yet sculpted body and super unique lights! Upfront the new LED lights blend into the grille with micro holes in the top chrome bit to make it seem like metal and not a light at first, and the rear they take on a civic like shape but connect full width! đŸ”„[@allcarnews Spec Sheet] As of now we know of two engines that could be for US market, a 1.6L Turbo 4 making 180HP and 194 lb-ft of torque and a 2.5L N/A 4 cylinder making 190HP and 180 lb-ft of torque. Other markets will get a diesel variant and a new hybrid/plugin in models are coming too! More powerful engines with close to 300HP will come later on. And NO CVT as they all are paired to a 8 speed auto! đŸ”„ When the Sonata debuts in NYC next month we will have a LIVE close up look with it but the interior too is much more upmarket than previous with an incredibly good 12.3in drivers display and a 10.3in infotainment system that is literally on par with Audi’s MMI in terms of speed and refinement! Some technical details include it’s been lowered by 1.18in, widened by 1in, and is 1.77in longer! Hyundai also allows your phone or a key card (like the Model 3 and Lincoln Aviator) to become your digital key using NFC! Oh and those dark images aren’t renders, that really is the Sonata and it really is THAT wide! The new sonata also comes with Level 2 automation and safety features and no pricing has been announced just yet! ________________________________________ ACN EXTRA: Most attractive midsized sedan?? Or does that go to the Mazda 6 đŸ€” ________________________________________ - - #Hyundai #Sonata An #allcarnews post #N #Korean #sedan #midsized #LeFilRouge #NYC #coupe #sleek #elantra #carbon ||#powerful #performance #turbocharged #advanced #SupercarsRevamped #Supercar #HyperCar #ItsWhiteNoise #CarLifeStyle #MadWhips #003 # https://www.instagram.com/p/BvgyPE9n8cd/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=mb9jxoegmgc3

Mercedes also had a futuristic concept vehicle of its own, the Vision Urbanetic autonomous driving platform with switchable bodies. The vehicle’s Tron-like exterior houses a fairly simple urban transportation concept: it can be fitted with a passenger module with room for 20 people (8 sitting, 4 standing) as a sort of ride-sharing taxi, or a cargo module for transporting freight goods or package delivery. The base of the vehicle is the part that’s doing the autonomous driving; it also houses the electric batteries, motors, and the Urbanetic’s propulsion system. It’s an adjustable minibus (for either people or cargo) in a trippy body on a self-driving base.
Harley-Davidson LiveWire
Tumblr media

The maker of American muscle hogs has released its first-ever electric motorcycle. The ;Harley-Davidson LiveWire, built in partnership with Panasonic Automotive, has built-in GPS and LTE connectivity with up to 4G LTE speeds, as well as a 4.3-inch liquid crystal touch-screen display built into the dashboard with integrated navigation and music. PC Mag
One of our favorite concept cars of CES, the BMW Vision iNext is a ;sci-fi living room on wheels. The autonomous, electric luxury vehicle has hidden touch interfaces in wooden and cloth surfaces, an intelligent voice assistant, and screen projection anywhere in the chic interior. With an intelligent voice assistant built in, a roomy, carpeted back seat, and a smart wood coffee table that responds to touch gestures, it’s a palatial ;Jetsons-like experience for a future when humans are lounging in their cars instead of driving.

First unveiled in 2017, this electric autonomous vehicle was one of the sleekest we saw on the show floor. The concept car, which Audi hopes to turn into a production vehicle by 2021, has four motors and a range of 435 to 497 miles per charge. Audi said it can charge up to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes wirelessly. Lincoln was at CES with the 2020 Lincoln Aviator, a 450-horsepower plug-in hybrid crossover. There’s a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, and a host of tech improvements and smart user interface upgrades. Drivers can unlock the vehicle with their smartphones rather than a key fob, and the owners can tap into features like traffic jam assist, park assist, adaptive suspension, and drive modes like Conserve and Excite to add some automatic controls to the manual experience. Byton M-Byte
Tumblr media

Tesla competitor Byton showcased two different autonomous, electric models this year. The M-Byte prototype, which debuted at CES ;last year, is the less expensive of the two, a $45,000 electric crossover that goes into production this year. The Byton K-Byte premium sedan is coming in 2021 with Level 4 autonomous driving, meaning it can drive without human oversight. Hyundai Elevate
Tumblr media
PC Mag
The ;Hyundai Elevate ;is the closest we’ve gotten to a real-life Transformer. The concept car can walk or climb over obstacles with extendable robotic legs on a modular, multi-use chassis that shrinks down into driving mode. The car can swap out different attachments, and is capable of climbing a 5-foot vertical wall or over a 5-foot gap while keeping its passengers level. By blending electric car and robotics technology, the Hyundai Elevate feels like a step toward sci-fi.
Bell Nexus Air Taxi
Tumblr media
PC Mag
One of the most unconventional, eye-catching concept vehicles at CES this year was the ;Bell Nexus Air Taxi, a massive flying hybrid of a drone crossed with a helicopter. Bell describes this behemoth as a rideshare in the air, and is testing it in Dallas, Dubai, and Los Angeles. The electric hybrid has a range of 150 miles, but don’t expect to see it flying around anytime soon. Bell hopes to release it in 2025. Sitting in the high-tech cockpit flanked by high-res touch screens and control sticks, the Bell Nexus feels like it’s dropped straight out of a futuristic fleet on its way to drop off a squadron of Darkseid soldiers.
Furrion Adonis Yacht
Tumblr media
PC Mag
We had to include the yacht. The 78-foot Furrion Adonis towered over the CES show floor, showing off a high-tech luxury cruiser that Furrion calls a “smart yacht.” The Adonis has an onboard, voice-activated AI called Angel, who can control electronics, entertainment, kitchen appliances, the yacht’s facial-recognition camera system, and more. The virtual concierge can be summoned by saying “Hi, Angel” to order food from the kitchen, control music, get news and weather updates, or shop. The Adonis is also packed with smart interactive mirror displays throughout the yacht and cabins and Furrion Sense TVs with built-in soundbars. It’s even got a drone and drone port on the top deck. If PCMag gave out a Bougiest Tech at CES Award, the Furrion Adonis would be the runaway winner.

The 15 Craziest Cars and Futuristic Vehicles of CES 2019
There were a ton of sleek next-gen cars at CES, from snazzy luxury vehicles to eye-popping concept cars.
January 10, 2019 8 min read
This story originally appeared on PCMag
CES is a dizzying experience that takes over the entire Las Vegas Strip, but within the bedlam is a mind-bending glimpse into the future of transportation. This year we saw a slew of ;self-driving cars, new in-car ;mixed reality experiences, and even a new concept car with modular robotic legs that’s as close as we’ve seen to a real-life Transformer.
There’s a flashy tech product at CES for every kind of transportation scenario, from the most futuristic science-fiction concept cars to next-gen electric vehicles and even motorcycles, not to mention last-mile solutions like ;electric skateboards ;and ;scooters. Many of the snazziest concept cars were focused on high-tech amenities and interiors designed to keep humans comfortable and relaxed as their autonomous car cruises.
We also came across some other eye-popping smart vehicles, like a flying drone helicopter taxi and a smart yacht. We threw those in just for fun.
Nissan IMx Kuro
Tumblr media

Nissan’s IMx Kuro concept vehicle is a fully autonomous electric crossover with zero emissions. We likely won’t see it in production until at least 2020, but the Kuro’s simplified exterior and spacious interior wowed on the CES show floor; not to mention the car’s panoramic OLED display on its dashboard. A separate, wood grain-patterned display wrapping around the interior door trims bring an extra sense of zen to the in-car experience.
Mitsubishi Emirai 4
Tumblr media

Mitsubishi showed off the latest version of its Emirai 4 smart mobility concept car, which it has brought to CES with flashy new upgrades for each of the past few years. It’s got a heads-up augmented reality display with 3D mapping, as well as a half mirror with a diagonal LCD panel to give the driver 3D images of the environment. There’s an autonomous mode too, and plenty of other interior bells and whistles, like haptic feedback control, smart home and mobile payment integration, and biometric authentication.
Mercedes-Benz CLA

The highest profile vehicle reveal for a car you can actually buy was the debut of the 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA. The second-gen coupe comes with a bevy of digital features and in-car improvements, as well as Mercedes’ first semi-autonomous driving system with a hands-free mode, and the auto maker’s new MBUX voice control system. It also syncs with the newly announced Mercedes-branded ;Garmin Vívoactive 3 ;smartwatch. The 2020 CLA will go on sale later this year; official pricing has not yet been announced.
Mercedes-Benz Vision Urbanetic

An algorithm with an eye for visibility helps pilots in Alaska
More than three-quarters of Alaskan communities have no access to highways or roads. In these remote regions, small aircraft are a town’s bus, ambulance, and food delivery — the only means of getting people and things in and out.
As routine as daily flight may be, it can be dangerous. These small (or general aviation) aircraft are typically flown visually, by a pilot looking out the cockpit windows. If sudden storms or fog appears, a pilot might not be able to see a runway, nearby aircraft, or rising terrain. In 2018, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported 95 aviation accidents in Alaska, including several fatal crashes that occurred in remote regions where poor visibility may have played a role.
“General aviation pilots in Alaska need to be aware of the forecasted conditions during pre-flight planning, but also of any rapidly changing conditions during flight,” says Michael Matthews, a meteorologist at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. “There are certain rules, like you can’t fly with less than three miles of visibility. If it is worse, pilots need to fly on instruments, but they need to be certified for that.”
Pilots check current or forecasted weather conditions before they fly, but a lack of automated weather observation stations throughout the Alaskan bush makes it hard to know exactly what to expect. To help, the FAA recently installed 221 web cameras near runways and mountain passes. Pilots can look at the image feeds online to plan their route. Still, it’s difficult to go through what could be hundreds of images and estimate just how far one can see.
So, Matthews has been working with the FAA to turn these web cameras into visibility sensors. He has developed an algorithm, called Visibility Estimation through Image Analytics (VEIA), that uses a camera’s image feed to automatically determine the area’s visibility. These estimates can then be shared among forecasters and with pilots online in real-time.
Trained eyes
In concept, the VEIA algorithm determines visibility the same way humans do. It looks for stationary “edges.” For human observers, these edges are landmarks of known distances from an airfield, such as a tower or mountain top. They’re trained to interpret how well they can see each marker compared to on a clear, sunny day.
Likewise, the algorithm is first taught what edges look like in clear conditions. The system looks at the past 10 days’ worth of imagery, an optimal timeframe because any shorter timeframe could be skewed by bad weather and any longer could be affected by seasonal changes, according to Matthews. Using these 10-day images, the system creates a composite “clear” image. This image becomes the reference to which a current image is compared.
To run a comparison, an edge-detection algorithm (called a Sobel filter) is applied to both the reference and current image. This algorithm identifies edges that are persistent — the horizon, buildings, mountain sides — and removes fleeting edges like cars and clouds. Then, the system compares the overall edge strengths and generates a ratio. The ratio is converted into visibility in miles.
Developing an algorithm that works well across images from any web camera was challenging, Matthews says. Based on where they are placed, some cameras might have a view of 100 miles and others just 100 feet. Other problems stemmed from permanent objects that were very close to the camera and dominated the view, such as a large antenna. The algorithm had to be designed to look past these near objects.
“If you’re an observer on Mount Washington, you have a trained eye to look for very specific things to get a visibility estimate. Say, the ski lifts on Attitash Mountain, and so on. We didn’t want to make an algorithm that is trained so specifically; we wanted this same algorithm to apply anywhere and across all types of edges,” Matthews says.
To validate its estimates, the VEIA algorithm was tested against data from Automated Surface Observing Stations (ASOS). These stations, of which there are close to 50 in Alaska, are outfitted with sensors that can estimate visibility each hour. The VEIA algorithm, which provides estimates every 10 minutes, was more than 90 percent accurate in detecting low-visibility conditions when compared to co-located ASOS data.
Informed pilots
The FAA plans to test the VEIA algorithm in summer 2020 on an experimental website. During the test period, pilots can visit the experimental website to see real-time visibility estimates alongside the camera imagery itself.
“Furthermore, the VEIA estimates can be ingested into weather prediction models to improve the forecasts,” says Jenny Colavito, who is the ceiling and visibility research project lead at the FAA. “All of this leads to keeping pilots better informed of weather conditions so that they can avoid flying into hazards.”
The FAA is looking into using weather cameras in other regions, starting in Hawaii. “Like Alaska, Hawaii has extreme terrain and weather conditions that can change rapidly. I anticipate that the VEIA algorithm will be utilized along with the weather cameras in Hawaii to provide as much information to pilots as possible,” Colavito adds. One of the key advantages of VEIA is that it requires no specialized sensors to do its job, just the image feed from the web cams.
Matthews recently accepted an R&D 100 Award for the algorithm, named one of the world’s 100 most innovative products developed in 2019. As a researcher in air traffic management for 28 years, he is thrilled to have achieved this honor.
“Some mountain passes in Alaska are like highways, especially in the summertime, with the number of people flying. You can find countless stories of terrible crashes, people just doing everyday things — a family on their way to a volleyball game,” Matthews reflects. “I hope that VEIA might help people go about their lives safer.”

Space Vizzion Concept (with a period in the name) is a station wagon able to go 300 miles, driven by a 275-hp rear electric motor, with an optional front motor for a 355-hp AWD wagon. The concept lowers wind resistance by replacing door handles with touch surfaces. Inside, rhere's a floatng 15.6-inch touchscreen. A production version will be sold in the US as well as Europe, VW says.
Los Angeles is king of the US auto shows. And it’s looking at the future. LA does the best job of introducing and showcasing cars people buy and cars, SUVs, hybrids, PHEVs, and EVs that people are buying in small but increasing quantities. Our picks for 2019 are heavy on electrified cars because that’s what automakers focused on in LA, including the show-stealer, the Ford Mustang Mach-E and, and the fire-breathing Toyota RAV4 plug-in hybrid with 302 horsepower – not a typo – and a sub-six-second 0-60 time.
Here’s our pick of the best cars from this year’s show. It was a rich set of introductions, in part because there’s no other big show for months. The next top-tier US show isn’t until April, the New York Auto Show (NYIAS), because Detroit (NAIAS) has given up its wintry January date for June. The LA Auto Show continues with public days Friday (Nov. 22) through Sunday, Dec. 1.
The LA Auto Show concludes two days of press introductions, which followed several days of Automobility, the showcase and conference for new and alternative ideas in transportation, particularly alternative energy vehicles.
For press and analysts attending the major auto shows, the palm trees outside the LA Convention Center were a strong contrast to wintry winds of the Detroit show that came six weeks later. But Detroit in 2020 moves to a balmier June setting. Temperatures were in the 80s during the week.
The show was also the scene of some of the first car of the year awards: Motor Trend cited the Chevrolet Corvette, Kia Telluride, Ram 1500, and Peter Schreyer, president and head of design management of Hyundai Motor Group (including Kia) as car, SUV, truck, and person of the year for 2020.
The North American Car and Truck of the Year (NACTOY) group announced its COTY finalists. Car: Chevrolet Corvette, Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Supra. Utility vehicle: Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride, Lincoln Aviator. Truck: Ford Ranger Jeep Gladiator, Ram Heavy Duty pickup. The NACTOY awards had been announced at the Detroit show but now that it’s a June show, the awards have become a freestanding event in Detroit January 13.

Road Tests: 2020 Lincoln Aviator
Vital Statistics
Engine: 3.0 liter
Horsepower: 494
Torque: 630 lb-ft.
EPA: 17 mpg city / 24 mpg highway
Energy Impact: 15.7 barrels of oil/yr
Co2 Emissions: 7.0 tons/yr
Despite offering a wide range of utilities over the years, with the exception of the full-size Navigator, recent Lincolns have largely flown under the radar for luxury SUV buyers. Now, Lincoln is making a big push to change that.  Following the just revamped two-row Nautilis, is an all-new three-row Aviator. Can it become a leader in its segment?  Or does Lincoln just have their head in the clouds?
While the 2020 Lincoln Aviator is all-new, the concept isn’t. Much like the previous 2003 Lincoln Aviator that lasted for just three short years, it is basically a Lincoln version of the Ford Explorer.
Now, that’s not a bad thing. For starters, the Explorer has just gone through a wheels-up redesign, built on completely new architecture that returns to rear-wheel-drive.
Secondly, Lincoln has taken major strides to ensure that just about everything you see, feel, and touch; is an upgrade over what you’ll find over on the Ford side.
That starts under the hood, where the base engine picks up where the Explorer leaves off, the 400-horsepower twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6. It comes with a 10-speed transmission and optional all-wheel-drive.
Then, things get really interesting with a combo platter not found on any other Ford menu; a plug-in hybrid that’s based on the same twin-turbo 6. And, with the help of a 75-kW electric motor, cranks out 494-horsepower with a whopping 630 lb-ft. of torque. That’ll get this Aviator airborne in a real hurry!
It’s in the apply named Grand Touring version of the Aviator and also comes with a 10-speed automatic, but has all-wheel-drive standard.
Three rows of seating are included in every Aviator; with all except the base model sporting standard captain’s chairs for 6-passenger capacity.  If you prefer a bench seat for your brood, it’s a no cost option.
Up front, it’s all about the blending of technology with usefulness, with a standard 10-inch touch screen being the center of attention. You can even use your phone as the key to put things in motion. Materials, as well as fit-and-finish, are top notch. As is available advanced safety with Blind Spot Detection, Cross Traffic Alert, and Emergency Braking standard.
Lincoln paid extra attention to the two things you’ll touch most; the beautiful and highly-functional steering wheel, and the piano key-like toggles for gear selection. The front seats hug you a little tighter than expected, but they felt just right after a few hours.
There is some familiarity to the Explorer on the outside; but much like the Edge-based Nautilus, you know they’re in the same family, but that’s about it.
Driving in where else Napa Valley, we spent most of our time aboard the Grand Touring PHEV.  With all of that power on tap, we were expecting a more brutish delivery; but clearly Lincoln has designed it to feel more effortless than aggressive. It’s almost reminiscent of a Bentley, with big smooth power that never seems to run out or overwhelm.
As for more utilitarian matters, cargo room behind the 3rd row is a good 18.3 cubic-ft., folding it, expands the space to 41.8 cubic-ft., maxing out at 77.7 with all seats folded.
Those numbers are exactly the same in the hybrid; but there is less fuel capacity, due to the batteries taking up some of the fuel tank’s real estate. That also keeps maximum range to around 400-miles.
Max tow rating is 6,700-lbs. for most trims; the hybrid 1,100-lbs. less.
No official Government Fuel Economy Ratings for the Grand Touring, or Pure EV driving range yet, but just under 20-miles would seem about right.
Ratings for the standard Aviator are 17-City, 24-Highway, and 20-Combined for all-wheel-drive; 18-City, 26-Highway, and 21-Combined for rear-wheel-drive. For a slightly below average Energy Impact Score; consuming 15.7-barrels of oil annually, with CO2 emissions of 7.0-tons.
Aviator pricing starts reasonably at $52,195; Grand Touring, at $69,895.
It’s a safe bet that this new-gen, 2020 Lincoln Aviator will be in service a lot longer than three-years. Not only are large SUVs in high demand once again, but Lincoln is finally delivering what buyers in its premium three-row segment want; an honest luxury experience, combined with loads of power, and an undeniable presence.

2020 Mustang GT500, Rivian R1T and R1S, 2020 Jeep Gladiator: The Week In Reverse
https://bestcaritems.com/?p=6336&utm_source=SocialAutoPoster&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Tumblr 2020 Jeep Gladiator with Mopar accessories Ford teased the upcoming Shelby GT500’s engine and confirmed its debut; startup Rivian debuted the R1T and R1S electric pickup and SUV concepts; Jeep revealed the 2020 Gladiator pickup truck. It’s the Week in Reverse, right here at Motor Authority. Ford not only confirmed the 2020 Shelby Mustang GT500 will make its grand debut at the 2019 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, but the Blue Oval also teased the potent pony car’s engine. It’ll displace 5.2 liters and crank out more than 700 horsepower. Haven’t heard of Rivian? The electric-vehicle startup’s two concepts grabbed a lot of attention at the 2018 LA Auto Show. The R1T and R1S concepts previewed an electric pickup truck and SUV that company plans to produce. The R1T pickup is closest to production as Rivian says assembly will begin in late 2020. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator bowed at the 2018 LA auto show as the brand’s latest money-printing machine. Considerably longer than the Wrangler, the pickup will also sport beloved Wrangler features, like a convertible top, a folding windshield, and removable doors. Porsche used the 2018 LA auto show to reveal the 2020 911. The 992-generation car builds upon the previous-generation sports car with tweaked looks, driving improvements, and more horsepower. We can’t wait. The 2020 Lincoln Aviator made its debut in production form in the city of angels, too. The SUV, which will come with optional hybrid power, revives a nameplate from the past and lands a one-two utility-vehicle punch in combination with the full-size Navigator. Via MotorAuthority

2020 Lincoln Aviator Release Date, Price, Specs
2020 Lincoln Aviator Changes
2020 Lincoln Aviator
2020 Lincoln Aviator
2020 Lincoln Aviator Review – The Lincoln Company is a prototype of SUV Luxury Son named Aviator at the 2018 New York Auto Show. However, the production version is the most demanding concept and the virtual maintenance in the showroom, the 2020 Lincoln Aviator. The contemporary television series struggled in 2003, later, later, the automaker stopped production slows down sales However, they have decided to put it back on the market and will probably replace the Lincoln MKT model. It was a game between the little Nautilus and the great Navigator model.
As we have already mentioned, the future Aviator will closely resemble the conceptual model. And we must admit that he looks very attractive with his simple but modern style. The cabin of the new Aviator will have a capacity for up to seven passes. The appearance of premier quality materials that will give the appearance of a more luxurious child. In terms of safety, the new Lincoln will offer many standard features. Under the bonnet, you will receive a double turbo engine and, in addition, it will also be available with a hybrid powertrain.
  2020 Lincoln Aviator Exterior
The 2020 Lincoln Aviator is the updated version of the conceptual version of New York. It will present a simple and clean design and will borrow some design references from the Navigator model. The front is dominated by the large and beautiful grid. The rear also has horizontal lines, horizontal taillights, and four exhaust outlets. In addition, the whole body will have beautiful details of chrome.
A low-suspension air barrier is present for aerodynamics and the center section of the bumper seems to have a large opening for cooling. The upper grid was not very well marked, but the camouflage had a fairly pronounced vertical line, suggesting it was a Lincoln. The general shape of the taillights does not look like a Ford Explorer, more like it.
  2020 Lincoln Aviator interior
The interior of the Lincoln Aviator 2020 will be spacious and capable of carrying up to seven passes in three rows of seats. The cab will also feature horizontal and clean lines, and you will get polished aluminum and metal details. The seats will be covered with quality and soft leather. In front of the controller, there will be a large 12-inch screen and the Sync infotainment system will be standard. The Lincoln Co-Pilot 360 will also be included in the standard equipment. In terms of safety, it will be equipped with an automatic emergency braking system, cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, a security camera, two automatic assistance systems and road safety. maintenance monitoring.
  2020 Lincoln Aviator Interior
If the interior will be inspired by the browser, it will include a low horizontal board with a floating center infotainment screen and a group of digital indicators. The design is made with high-performance materials such as wood, metal and full grain leather. As with the shift lever, there is probably a push button.
  2020 Lincoln Aviator Engine
The new Lincoln Aviator 2020 is expected to feature a twin-turbo engine capable of delivering up to 350 horsepower. It will travel on the new platform that also underlies the new Ford Explorer. As a result, the Aviator will come standard with a rear-drive configuration. But all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive will also be possible. In addition, the latest news has confirmed that it will also be offered with a hybrid engine complement. We assume that you can reach 60 mpg in approximately 7 seconds.
It is likely that the second generation of Lincoln Aviator adopts the first generation model and shares its platform with Ford Explorer. In this case, the aviator will use a monobloc platform, will have a transversely mounted engine and will be equipped with a standard front-drive transmission. You can expect Lincoln to use the automatic transmission used in the Explorer. The current 2018 model has a six-speed gearbox. Still, that does not stop us from believing that a speed of eight would be even better. Regardless of the engine or transmission offerings, an optional all-wheel-drive system will be offered.
  Release date and price
Considering that the 2018 Navigator command at $ 72,000 and the Lincoln MKX (renamed Nautilus for 2019) start at about $ 40,000, we can see that Lincoln can play with the prices. The Ford Explorer range, the Platinum, starts at $ 53,940. Lincoln could very well set the price of the aviator at $ 55,000. But this is nothing but speculation.
