Meet the 2020 CT4-V 🇺🇸 ______________________________________ [5/30/19] Cadillac has launched the all new CT4 sedan first in its V Guise which really is like a “V-Sport” trim as we are waiting on the next higher trim of the V hierarchy with more power and performance. So this new CT4 replaces the ATS and I think it looks really good… except the rear is a bit too quirky. 🔥[@Allcarnews Spec Sheet] Powering the CT4-V is a odd choice, a 2.4L turbo Four cylinder that is found in GM pickups and makes 320HP and 369 lb-ft of torque paired to a 10 speed gearbox to either the rear or all four wheels. Keep in mind the outgoing ATSV made 464HP from a TT V6. In its current form, the CT4-V should compete with the Audi S3 and A35 AMG 🔥 Cadillac has said this new CT4 chassis offers 50/50 weight distribution and the CT4-V gets Brembo brakes, the next generation of Magnetic Ride control, a limited slip rear diff, a new V mode dial, and sportier gauge clusters, wheels and seats. Now for the general CT4 styling…..The front looks pretty unique and good albeit the Caddy badge is a tad too large for the grille. But the rear just doesn’t fit the car in this Blue, I actually like it as its rather unique and looks good with the quad exhaust tips. The interior also looks much better on the CT4 than on the CT5, possibly because everything is tighter and smaller overall. The Standard CT4 will be unveiled soon. ________________________________________ ACN EXTRA: Is this a big disappointment to you all?? Not what i was expecting... ________________________________________ - - #Cadillac #CT5 An #allcarnews post #V6 #CTS #ATS #USA #CTSV #BMW #3series #XT4 #CT4 #hothatch||#powerful #performance #turbocharged #advanced #SupercarsRevamped #Supercar #HyperCar #ItsWhiteNoise #GM #MadWhips #manual #Carstagram #BlackList #AmazingCars247 https://www.instagram.com/p/ByG311BhKpU/?igshid=10jp4htgn0ufh

2020 Cadillac CT5 Price Undercuts the BMW 3 Series by Quite a Bit
Cadillac has announced pricing information for its new compact sedan. With a starting price of $37,890, the 2020 Cadillac CT5 is $3,355 less expensive than a base 2019 BWW 3 Series, and $2,305 less expensive than a base Audi A4. It also undercuts the Lexus IS by $1,695.
The CT5 comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine making 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque and pairing to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Other standard features include a 10-inch touchscreen with rotary controller, keyless entry and push-button start, OnStar, and a safety suite including forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, and automatic braking.
Priced from $41,690, the Premium Luxury trim focuses on opulence, offering a warm maple sugar leather and wood interior. Sport models, available from $42,690, get a more industrial-looking cabin. Opting for all-wheel drive instead of rear-wheel drive will add $2,600 to the price of a base model or the Sport model, but it’s a $3,090 upgrade on the Premium Luxury trim.
Cadillac has not yet announced pricing for models with the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine, which pack 335 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque and are mated to the 10-speed auto. Also forthcoming is pricing info on the upcoming 355-hp V-Series model and Super Cruise models.
The CT5 is a new nameplate and effectively replaces both the ATS and CTS sedans. It rides on GM’s next-gen rear-drive platform that promises a smoother, quieter ride. Check out our First Look for more on the 2020 Cadillac CT5.

The Escalade Dilemma – The Big Picture
New York–based Cadillac might portray itself as cool, edgy, and urban these days, but it can’t live without a vehicle whose DNA is deeply encoded with heartland perceptions and values. A vehicle that, like the hapless Cimarron, started life as a cynical corruption of a brand that once proclaimed itself “The Standard of the World.” Yes, we’re talking about the Escalade. The original Escalade was a GMC Yukon Denali—itself a fancy Chevy Tahoe—with wreath-and-crest badges and some wood ’n’ leather inside. It was GM’s panicked riposte to the Lincoln Navigator, the gussied-up Ford Expedition that helped topple Cadillac from its position as America’s No. 1 luxury brand for the first time in history. Today’s Escalade more deftly riffs on current Cadillac design cues, and the interior is laden with luxury car prerequisites. But no amount of window dressing can disguise the fact that it remains a truck in a tux, obviously related to quotidian Tahoes and Yukons. That hasn’t stopped it from outselling all of Cadillac’s car lines in the U.S., and by a considerable margin at that. Combined Escalade and Escalade ESV sales through August this year made it the brand’s No. 2 model line—only behind the much less expensive XT5 crossover. As the priciest Cadillac you can buy, the Escalade is also hugely profitable. Most of the $24,000 to $40,000 price premium the Escalade commands over a fully loaded Tahoe is pure gravy. GM’s bean counters love this thing. There’s no polite way to say this: An SUV that’s more truck than limousine is Cadillac’s flagship vehicle, its halo model. That sound you hear is Brooklyn marketing hipsters sobbing into their Aperol spritzes. Over the past decade, Cadillac planners have looked several times at the idea of moving the Escalade off GM’s truck architecture. But the math has proven inescapable, so the next-gen Escalade will also share hardware and key components with forthcoming Tahoe and Yukon models. Well-placed GM insiders insist Caddy’s flagship will benefit from the fundamental improvements in performance, refinement, and quality being baked in across GM’s next-gen pickup and full-size SUV architecture. The new Escalade will get independent rear suspension and air springs that will deliver significant improvements in ride quality and overall refinement. Ditching the current model’s heavy, cumbersome live axle will also enable GM designers to lower the floor at the rear, allowing—at last—decent legroom for third-row passengers. GM’s 420-hp, 460-lb-ft 6.2-liter V-8 will remain the workhorse engine, but Cadillac will likely also offer a supercharged V-8 similar to that used in the CTS-V, tuned to deliver more than 600 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. Both engines will drive through the new 10-speed automatic jointly developed by GM and Ford. (It’s still odd to hear that, I know.) The next Escalade should be the best version ever, though it remains to be seen how thoroughly Cadillac will sweat the details. The current model’s clunky and clumsy analog column shifter, something straight out of a Silverado pickup, is one obvious gargoyle that needs slaying. Escalade drivers ought to be able to shift between park, reverse, and drive with their fingertips instead of having to arm wrestle a relic from the 1960s. Regardless, the next Escalade will be a stopgap. No matter how well dressed or how well engineered, a body-on-frame truck simply cannot deliver the performance, ride, handling, quietness, interior room, and energy efficiency customers outside North America will demand if they are seeking a legitimate alternative to a full-size Range Rover or Mercedes-Benz GLS. In the meantime, Cadillac is racing to determine exactly what sort of vehicle can finally redefine one of America’s great luxury brands in the 21st century. This much is clear: With the market for large sedans collapsing, it will be a unibody crossover of some kind. Tougher emissions rules mean it will likely be available with a high-performance hybrid powertrain or even be fully electric drive from the get-go. To make it happen, though, Cadillac needs its truck in a tux to keep the cash registers ringing well into the 2020s. 2020 Cadillac CT5: Lets Talk.. 🇺🇸 ______________________________________ [4/16/19] Cadillac has just shown off its major new CT5 sedan that is replacing the CTS and ATS! The new CT5 is based on an updated Alpha platform and features a more refined and sharper handling! Ok lets talk seriously now, (lots of opinion coming) I think Cadillac did a great job with the exterior design of the CT5 minus the weird c-pillar but overall great! But what bothers me is the interior. Now don’t get me wrong, the materials, leathers, woods Alcantara’s and carbons are all real and look premium but there are some blaring faults. #1 The steering wheel. I don’t know about you but steering wheels in cars are a big thing for me, its the thing you always look at, touch and interact with and the design on the CT5 as well as in the XT4 gives the impression of an older buyer and just meh ness if that makes sense. Now I mean the swap of the center bit but besides that Caddy gets an A+ for actually wrapping the airbag cover in leather! #2 The gauge cluster. It is a MAJOR improvement over the last gen but come on Cadillac, this is a 2020 car and no full digital dash? Heck even the last CTS-V had one… enough said there. #3 and finally the center console. Now it may look lifted right out of the new 8 series but that bottom button tray with the buttons in that cheap dull plastic just does not scream luxury to me and giving it an overall look I just see GM in a lot of places..and what is with those awkwardly placed knobs up there? Caddy get your interiors fixed pls! 🔥[@Allcarnews Spec Sheet] The base engine will be a 2.0L Turbo 4 making 237HP and then a TT 335HP V6 paired to a 10 speed auto. It weighs in at around 3,660lbs and AWD is optional🔥 One thing that is spot on with the CT5 is the chassis all of which I will cover when I get hands on with the new Caddy later this week! You can also get Supercruise later on in 2020. Expect pricing to start around $45k and it will compete inbetween classes with the 3 series, C class and A4 as well as the 5 series, E Class and A6 as the CT5 is nearly as big as those. ________________________________________ ACN EXTRA: Oh and don’t even get me started https://www.instagram.com/p/BwU0VhEnoCE/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=mlyqfyish4aw

2020 Cadillac CT5-V nails its European sport sedan mission, but is it too late?
Ever since the release of the Catera for the 1997 model year, Cadillac has been trying to build a European-style sport sedan that will convince buyers Cadillac isn’t just another stodgy also-ran.
Cadillac’s attempts have gotten better and better since a slow start with the Catera. The CTS followed in 2002 and was closer to the mark, though it lacked the interior quality to compete with the likes…

Future Cars! 2020 and Beyond
Car buyers—you’re in for a treat. Because no matter your budget for a new car, the future is bright. The wait is almost over for Corvette fans waiting for a mid-engine layout, but with the Shelby GT500 and new M3 on the way, the Chevy will have some serious sports car company.
And maybe you’ve heard, but our automotive future is electrified. From Fiat to Audi, fully electric cars you might actually want to drive will be here soon (if a Model 3 and the other existing options aren’t your style).
So keep reading for more on future cars headed to a dealership near you.
More on future cars:
Future SUVs! 2020 and Beyond
WHAT’S NOW
Chevrolet Corvette
What’s New: The long-awaited mid-engine Corvette is finally here. After years of rumors, spy shots, leaks, and speculation, Chevrolet will finally peel the camo off this July. When it does, we expect to find a dual-overhead-cam V-8 under the rear glass with a pair of turbochargers driving the rear wheels through a manual or dual-clutch automatic transaxle. Multiple power outputs are expected courtesy of various displacements, with both 4.2-liter and 5.5-liter versions to be fitted. An all-new electrical architecture will feature top-of-the-line sensors and computers for performance and handling enhancement, but you’ll no doubt be able to turn them all off, too. Inside, Chevrolet has gone upscale with a classy, driver-focused interior featuring premium materials and a digital instrument cluster. Although base-model Corvettes will start at about $70,000, higher-performance models will quickly shoot up in price to cover both the development cost and the improvements in technology, performance, and comfort. But they should still remain relatively attainable.
What’s Not: Base cars are expected to employ Chevrolet’s tried-and-true 6.2-liter pushrod V-8. Midrange cars might also employ the supercharged pushrod engine. We predict Chevrolet will continue to offer a removable targa roof that will store in the cargo area.
When: July 18, 2019
How Much: $70,000-$140,000 (est)
Porsche Taycan
What’s New: Everything. For some time now, the highly anticipated first all-electric Porsche sedan has been caught testing, piling up about 1.2 million miles in the process. It’s looking less futuristic than its Mission E concept, but we know an 800-volt system sends power to two electric motors generating a combined 440 kW (590 hp), and that power is sent to all four wheels. Said to be quicker than 3.5 seconds to 60 mph and with more than 300 miles range, the Taycan will be available at the end of this year. Buyers will receive three years of free charging at the 484 Electrify America public stations across the country. Using DC fast charging, up 60 miles of range can be had in just four minutes or roughly 250 miles in about 15 minutes. Some reports indicate the automaker wants to introduce higher-performance variants and a Targa. We can’t wait.
What’s Not: Even EV skeptic (and longtime Porsche test driver/brand ambassador) Walter Röhrl was impressed: “It’s crazy. In all my years of rallying, I’ve never experienced such performance. The Taycan goes so well at such speed, really tremendous. If I had to drive it blindfolded, I would still know immediately that I was sitting in a Porsche.”
When: Late 2019
How Much: $85,000 (est)
BMW M3
What’s New: The 2021 M3 will carry the same 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine as the X3M and X4M crossovers, meaning 473 hp and 442 lb-ft of output (or thereabouts, due to slightly different tuning for a sedan and crossover). That should result in 0–60 acceleration around 3.7 seconds. (Note: The current model tops out at 444 hp on the CS version.) A year or so down the line, the M3 Competition will provide in the neighborhood of 500-plus hp. The new G20 platform rides with 1.6 inches more wheelbase and has a wider track, which might prioritize corner-on-rails stability over quick-twitch handling. The M3 should allow for both RWD and AWD applications. (AWD might be defeatable to RWD if desired, as on the M5.) There is rumor of a “Pure” stripped-down base model with a stick shift (yay!) but slightly less power (sigh).
What’s Not: Some switches, controls, and knobs. It’s a new platform with upgraded engines, even a new infotainment interface.
When: Early 2020
How Much: $68,000 (est)
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
What’s New: The Shelby GT500 returns for the first time on the sixth-gen Mustang. Using a new engine and some aero enhancements, Ford promises this Mustang can hit 180 mph and that it won’t overheat at the track. This Shelby ought to be easier to lap, too, as it comes standard with a seven-speed twin-clutch automatic. There are no plans for a manual in 2020.
What’s Not: Although it shares its displacement with the GT350’s flat-plane-crank V-8, the Shelby GT500’s 5.2-liter V-8 is a cross-plane design. Between that and the supercharger, Ford claims power and torque have increased from 526 hp and 429 lb-ft in the GT350 to more than 700 hp and 600 lb-ft in the GT500.
When: Late 2019
How Much: $75,000 (est)
Cadillac CT5
What’s New: The CT5 is a new nameplate for Cadillac. This compact sedan replaces the ATS and CTS and is an evolution of Cadillac’s design language. The standard engine is the new 237-hp, 258-lb-ft 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged I-4 that made its first appearance in the CT6 refresh. A modified 335-hp, 400 lb-ft 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 (smaller turbos) is available and debuts in the CT5. Both are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. New rear badging will denote a rounded-off torque figure in Newton-meters. Super Cruise will be added in the second model year. A CT5-V is expected in the future.
What’s Not: It rides on GM’s rear-wheel-drive Alpha platform with some enhancements to the carryover front multilink strut and rear five-link suspension. All-wheel drive will be available on all trim levels.
When: Fall 2019
How Much: $48,000
Volkswagen Golf
What’s New: Volkswagen’s popular hatchback enters its eighth generation and will reportedly grow slightly in size with a few design tweaks. The sporty GTI will allegedly feature a mild hybrid powertrain featuring a 48-volt electrical system that will power the turbocharger to improve low-end boost before the exhaust pressure builds. It’s not yet clear whether the standard non-GTI Golf will return to the U.S. market.
What’s Not: The new Golf will still ride on VW’s MQB platform, though rumors suggest it’s been revised to cut weight.
When: Early 2020
How Much: $23,000 (est)
Maserati Alfieri
What’s New: The Alfieri has been designed from the ground up to be Maserati’s new halo car. It’s available as either a coupe or convertible with three levels of electrification. The EV version featuring three-motor, four-wheel drive and a quick-charging 800-volt battery will top the lineup.
What’s Not: Both the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of the Alfieri will use a Ferrari-sourced engine. If that engine is a V-8, it will probably be a version of the 3.8-liter twin-turbo currently found in the Levante GTS.
When: 2020
How Much: $150,000 (est)
Porsche 718 Boxster T/718 Cayman T
What’s New: Following the widely praised “T” prescription that was given to 911 Carrera brethren, the 718 twins will similarly enjoy reduced weight, lowered and further-honed suspension, the Sport Chrono package, and Porsche Torque Vectoring. A six-speed manual is standard; a seven-speed twin-clutch automatic is optional. The 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four 718 T (likely 300 hp, 280 lb-ft) will slot into the lineup between S and GTS versions in terms of price but surely will be the pointiest 718 available.
What’s Not: Engine output for the States has not yet been finalized, but as in the base car, it’s a 2.0-liter turbo for certain. The Cayman T coupe and Boxster T roadster body lines remain the same; only subtle interior and exterior distinctions are visible.
When: 2020
How Much: $70,000 (est)
Subaru Legacy
What’s New: The Legacy moves over to Subaru’s new Global Platform, which the automaker says is safer, handles better , and maximizes interior volume. An optional 2.4-liter turbocharged flat-four is now available, and the redesigned interior can be had with a large 11.6-inch touchscreen oriented vertically on the dashboard. The EyeSight package of driver assistance technology is now standard, and other driver assist features are available.
What’s Not: A 2.5-liter flat-four engine still serves as the base powertrain, but has been updated with 90 percent new parts and direct injection for the 2020 Legacy.
When: Fall 2019
How Much: $24,000 (est)
Hyundai Elantra
What’s New: After a refresh for 2019, the compact Elantra is back with more updates for 2020. The Elantra will feature a new CVT. Like its cousin, the 2019 Kia Forte, it’s likely to grow in size compared to its predecessor. Expect gains in fuel economy, with the base 2.0-liter engine hitting 41 mpg on the highway.
What’s Not: Although power figures haven’t been released, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine has been confirmed once again. It’s likely the model will also continue with 1.4- and 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines.
When: Late 2019
How Much: $18,500 (est)
WHAT’S NEXT
Aston Martin Vanquish
What’s New: It’s Aston’s take on a Ferrari mid-engine supercar, specifically at the new F8 Tributo revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March. If it looks anything like the concept and revives the Vanquish name, we’ll be extremely happy. The Vanquish could pack the new V-6 hybrid turbo behind the seats, possibly making north of 700 hp to compete directly with the Tributo. We’ve heard the new model is being developed with the help of Red Bull Racing engineers, so expect the car to have a lot of F1 bits and pieces.
What’s Not: Its name. The name Vanquish has come and gone a couple of times—it was first used from 2001 to 2007 and then again from 2012 to 2018. Aston built a few special editions, but this new supercar will be completely different from anything we’ve seen with the Vanquish badge.
When: 2020
How Much: $350,000 (est)
Alfa Romeo GTV
What’s New: As Alfa’s practical coupe, the GTV will have four seats and a trunk, but that’s where the practicality ends. The front-engine, rear-drive 2+2 is expected to be offered only with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive will be optional. The high-performance Quadrifoglio model will add an electric motor between the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 and the transmission to boost output to more than 600 hp.
What’s Not: At its core, the GTV is a Giulia coupe. Expect the same turbocharged four-cylinder base engine.
When: 2021
How Much: $45,000 (est)
Audi E-Tron GT
What’s New: Audi’s sexy E-Tron GT sedan will follow the more practical E-Tron SUV to market just a year later but with substantial differences. Electric motors front and rear combine for 590 hp, fed by a 95-kW-hr battery pack with an 800-volt charging system capable of nearly filling the battery in 20 minutes. Range is expected to be similar to the E-Tron SUV’s 204 EPA-estimated miles—but less if you test the estimated 0–60 time of under 3.5 seconds or explore the 149-mph top speed.
What’s Not: Squint a bit, and you can tell it’s a nicely rebodied Porsche Taycan.
When: 2020
How Much: $75,000 (est)
Fiat Centoventi
What’s New: The entire fully modular cheap-EV concept. An underfloor battery rack can carry up to four individual 60-mile battery packs, which can be rented when needed. A fifth optional pack slides out from under the driver’s seat for convenient indoor charging. Body panels are molded in a single color with wraps providing other colors. Further personalization is provided by five choices each of roof styles and colors, bumpers, and wheels.
What’s Not: Fiat’s lifelong mission to bring mobility to the masses, which here drives further innovations like 3-D-printable accessories that mount to a mesh grid of holes in the dash.
When: 2022
How Much: $25,000 (est)
Acura RLX
What’s New: Is bolder better? Acura has tried to answer that question over the years, with mixed results. Love it or hate it, the new RDX benefits from engaging styling borrowed from the Precision concept—and that bold crossover is setting sales records for the brand. That momentum could continue with the RLX’s replacement, a car that may adopt the Precision’s fastback shape (hello, Audi A7). With very little brand equity in the RL or RLX name, the time could be right for a (slightly) bolder flagship four-door from Acura.
What’s Not: Future Acura cabins will be influenced by the Precision Interior concept, like the RDX with its optimally placed infotainment screen and controversial touchpad controller.
When: 2021
How Much: $57,000 (est)
Karma Pininfarina GT Concept
What’s New: The Pininfarina-designed Karma concept car made its debut at the 2019 Shanghai auto show and previews the California-based automaker’s upcoming lineup. Its design language will be a departure from the Revero, but most of the fundamental engineering is unchanged. If public response goes well, the Pininfarina GT could go from one-off concept to production model.
What’s Not: Karma recently announced a partnership with BMW and will license the German automaker’s turbocharged three-cylinder engine for use as a generator in plug-in hybrid vehicles, including the next-generation Revero.
When: 2020
How Much: $100,000 (est)

2020 Cadillac CT5 Details
Cadillac has been having a terrible time lately with sedan sales (a challenge not unique in the industry as customers gravitate towards crossovers and SUVs). As a result, ATS, CTS, XTS, and CT6 sales have often been lower than the XT5…combined.
This has led Cadillac to the car they unveiled at the New York Auto Show in April, the CT5. Obviously the CT5 slots below the CT6 in the lineup…but it’s role will be to replace more than just the CTS that is dropping from the lineup at about the same time. This new sedan (which we will post a comparison of to other Cadillac models in the lineup to help clarify where it slots in) is based on GM’s Alpha platform which underpins the ATS and the CTS (in Alpha-plus form). This makes the CT5 a rear-drive sedan (thank goodness) at its core. All-wheel drive is available on all trims.
Styling is heavily influenced by the Cadillac Escala concept which means this carries the slim horizontal lighting front and rear, but this car also brings to production the Escala’s fastback roofline. Time will tell if this design appeals to Cadillac shoppers.
Powertrains feature a 10-speed automatic transmission (gears 8-10 are all overdrive). Base engine is a 2.0l turbo 4-cylinder. Upmarket trims pack a twin-turbo 3.0l V-6.
Inside, the CT5 packs Cadillac’s latest infotainment system and a 10” screen. Cadillac has abandoned the CUE branding, but only by spelling it out fully by calling it the “Cadillac User Experience”. Safety systems include the first implementation of the Super Cruise self-driving technology outside the CT6. This system has high-resolution maps of 130000 miles of divided/limited-access highways.
Additional safety gear includes safety alert seat as well as the following standard and optional technologies:
Standard: Forward Collision Alert Low Speed Forward Automatic Emergency Braking Front Pedestrian Braking
Optional: Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control Enhanced Forward Automatic Emergency Braking Automatic Parking Assist with Braking HD Surround Vision with Recorder Rear Pedestrian Detection and Alert Reverse Automatic Braking
From a sporty driving point of view, the appropriately named “Sport” trim bring with it Brembo brakes, but seems to largely be an appearance package, at least at this early stage and looking at the information released as part of the cars unveiling.
Read the press release below:
Cadillac recasts the concept of American Luxury with the global debut of the unrivaled 2020 CT5 sedan.
This all-new compact sedan advances the brand’s award-winning legacy with a distinctive fusion of design, performance and comfort, supported by Cadillac’s latest technologies — including Super Cruise, the world’s first true hands-free driver assistance feature for limited-access freeways.
“The first-ever Cadillac CT5 showcases Cadillac’s unique expertise in crafting American luxury sedans,” said Steve Carlisle, Cadillac president. “Its details elevate every drive and reward the senses.”
An all-new fastback design underscores the CT5’s refined ride, complemented with a driver-centric interior that blends high technology and high-touch elements. Luxury and Sport models allow customers to tailor the car to their style preferences with unique design and trim.
“Cadillac is dedicated to building the world’s most exhilarating luxury sedans,” said Carlisle. “Every element of the CT5 is focused on delivering an unrivaled experience, from the 10-speed transmission to Cadillac’s Super Cruise technology. The expansion of Super Cruise to CT5 reinforces our commitment to bringing the most innovative technologies to our customers.”
Cadillac CT5’s Super Cruise technology will be available in calendar year 2020 on select models.

Available driver assistance technologies including Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, Enhanced Forward Automatic Emergency Braking, Automatic Parking Assist with Braking, HD Surround Vision with Recorder, Rear Pedestrian Detection and Alert, Reverse Automatic Braking and more.
A New Design Profile
With a fastback profile inspired by the Escala concept, the first-ever CT5 charts a new direction for Cadillac sedan design that leverages the natural proportional advantage of the vehicle’s rear-drive platform to communicate power, presence and performance.
“From every angle, the CT5 exudes athleticism, sophistication and confidence,” said Andrew Smith, executive director of global Cadillac design. “Cadillac’s signature hard-edge cues have evolved to a more sculptural and fluid expression of the brand’s design language.”
A long, 116-inch wheelbase (2,947 mm) and lengthened side glass accentuate the car’s long, low proportion and sweeping fastback profile. Body sculpturing, including taut character lines, contributes to the car’s strong stance and speaks to Cadillac’s legacy of craftsmanship and technology.
An all-LED exterior lighting strategy features signature vertical lights at all four corners of the vehicle.
Bright exterior accents and unique grilles and fascias distinguish the CT5 Luxury and Premium Luxury models, while the Sport model is differentiated by darker accents and performance-inspired details, including unique grilles, fascias, rocker extensions, spoiler and standard 19-inch wheels4.
High-Tech and High-Touch Interior
CT5’s interior features elegant, wide surface lines and simple interfaces, focusing on quality, attention to detail, authenticity of materials and impeccable craftsmanship.
Everything from the instrument panel to the center display is focused on the driver and essential touch points, emphasizing control. That includes a prominent, 1080dp high-definition full-color 10-inch-diagonal touchscreen mounted high within the instrument panel for visibility.
FEATURE FOCUS: PLATINUM PACKAGE The Premium Luxury and Sport models are available with a Platinum Package featuring an exclusive Sedona/Jet Black motif with Opus semi-aniline leather seating surfaces in Sedona Sauvage. These surfaces are distinguished with a custom, layered fading perforation pattern, fine contrasting seat piping and decorative chevron accents. Both front, heated, ventilated and lumbar massage seats feature additional bolstering and 18-way adjustability. The package complements the seats with upgraded leather-trimmed armrests and center console, unique carbon fiber decorative trim and a thicker-rimmed steering wheel with authentic magnesium paddle shifters and alloy pedals.
Intuitive Technology and Connectivity
CT5 delivers thoughtful technology integration by offering an intuitive in-vehicle experience with a heightened sense of control. This is provided in everything from vehicle controls that conform to the driver’s driving style to the latest, more personal Cadillac user experience, which provides more intuitive ways to interface with the system, including phone pairing via Near Field Communication and a new rotary controller.
CT5 also features standard Adaptive Remote Start and an available hands-free power-release decklid to further customers’ convenience and comfort. Adaptive Remote Start automatically activates features such as the available adaptive heated/ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel and other climate systems, depending on the temperature. The hands-free decklid uses a motion sensor with Cadillac crest target projection that allows customers to activate the trunk release with their foot, supporting easy access.
FEATURE FOCUS: SUPER CRUISE Cadillac demonstrates its commitment to technology by bringing the Super Cruise driver assistance feature to the CT5. Cadillac’s Super Cruise driver assistance feature enables customers to drive hands-free on more than 130,000 miles of limited-access freeways in the U.S. and Canada, using LiDAR map data, high-precision GPS, a state-of-the-art driver attention system and a network of camera and radar sensors. The driver attention system helps keep drivers engaged by detecting and signaling when drivers need to pay more attention to the road.
Turbocharged Performance
CT5 is powered by a 2.0L Twin-Scroll Turbo engine and 10-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Precision Shift. This standard propulsion combination offers responsive off-the-line performance with excellent low-end torque. The twin-scroll turbocharger and a unique three-step sliding camshaft help the engine optimize performance across the rpm band for a greater feeling of on-demand power at all speeds.
Cadillac’s powerful 3.0L Twin Turbo V-6 is available on Premium Luxury and Sport models, rated at an estimated 335 hp (250 kw) and 400 lb-ft of torque (542 Nm)5. Low-inertia turbochargers and a manifold-integrated liquid-to-air intercooling system help the engine produce exceptional power with virtually no lag and sustain it across most of the rpm band. Like the 2.0L Turbo, it is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Precision Shift.
Both engines employ technologies such as direct injection, camshaft phasing, Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation) and automatic stop/start to balance performance, refinement and efficiency. Sound tuning via mechanical and electronic sources contributes to CT5’s optimized effect on the senses, with engine sounds tuned to augment the driving experience in a refined manner, while helping to minimize unwanted noise in the cabin.
Evolved Driving Dynamics
Building on the strengths of the superb RWD architecture that underpins Cadillac’s award-winning rear-wheel-drive sedans, the first-ever CT5 is designed to deliver an exhilarating driving experience while maintaining the brand’s signature blend of performance, comfort and refinement.
Evolutionary enhancements of the front and rear suspensions, including Cadillac’s signature double-pivot MacPherson-type front suspension, are designed to improve road isolation and driver feedback. At the rear, a five-link independent suspension contributes to the car’s excellent feeling of control.
Additional chassis and driving dynamics features:
Standard Bosch premium electric, rack-mounted power steering system.
Capable, confident and precise eBoost brakes.
Brembo front brakes are standard on the Sport model.
Standard ZF MVS passive dampers.
All-wheel drive is available on all models.
Standard customer-selectable drive modes allow CT5 to adapt even better to driver preferences and changing road conditions. The modes — Tour, Sport, Snow/Ice and new My Mode — can alter the calibrations for transmission shifting, steering and brake feel, front/rear torque split (with the available AWD system) and vehicle sound character to customize the driving experience.
CT5 can handle a variety of road conditions no matter the climate, thanks to all-wheel drive available on every model along with a diverse range of tire choices, including 19-inch all-season run-flat tires and 18-inch Michelin self-seal tires. All tire options allow drivers to continue driving during most punctures that would sideline conventional tires, for immediate replacement/repair.
Coming Soon
The 2020 CT5 makes its public debut at the New York International Auto Show April 19-28 and will be available for ordering this fall. It will be manufactured at GM’s Lansing Grand River facility, which previously received a $211 million investment to build the next-generation Cadillac sedans. Pricing and additional information will be announced closer to the start of production.

Speaking of big SUV’s, Volkswagen’s Atlas Base Camp Concept looks ready for any wilderness walkabout.

The all-new Subaru Outback combines ruggedness, a more premium interior, and a new global platform. A turbo flat-4 returns, replacing last year’s optional six.
The all-new Hyundai Venue will be the brand’s smallest crossover. It’s upright shape and simple interior deliver a little “Bronco-style” vibe.
New York’s best-looking new car was the eighth-generation Hyundai Sonata. Its “Sensuous Sportiness” design could breathe new life into mid-size sedans.
Meanwhile, Dodge paid tribute to U.S. armed forces with Stars & Stripes Editions of the Challenger and Charger.
New York City has a Lux factor all its own, and auto makers exhibited plenty of prestige.
Alfa Romeo displayed Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio NRING limited editions, recognizing the brand’s performance at the world-renowned Nürburgring.
Cadillac brought the new CT5 luxury-sport sedan, replacing both the ATS and CTS.
An updated Jaguar XE sedan made its New York debut as well.

And the limited edition Mercedes-Benz EQC Edition 1886 to mark the EV sub-brand’s first SUV.
A new EV contender is the Qiantu K50 by Mullen. This electric sports car looks production ready with 402-horsepower and 230-mile range.
The all-electric two-passenger Genesis Mint Concept is specifically designed for cities just like New York.

2020 Cadillac CT5 revealed with Escala looks and turbo power
https://bestcaritems.com/?p=7246&utm_source=SocialAutoPoster&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Tumblr Cadillac’s focus has been on crossover SUVs for the last few yars, but on Monday it shifted back to sedans when it revealed the 2020 CT5 mid-size sports sedan. Set to make its formal debut next month at the 2019 New York International Auto Show, the CT5 is first in Cadillac’s upcoming sedan offensive. A compact CT4 will slot below the CT5, while the CT6’s future is hazy at best. With the XT4, XT5, and XT6 crossover SUVs future already secured, Cadillac’s sedans needed a rethink. The CT5 is sized between the ATS and CTS and features a design inspired by 2016’s Escala concept car. A wide grille flanked by horizontal LED headlights give the car visual width, while a strong character line down the side is a neatly pressed look. A kink off the rear window line into the C-pillar adds some verve, although we’ll reserve judgement on whether it comes off cheap in person. First shown in Sport trim, the CT5 will also be available in a Luxury trim that will likely feature more chrome trim. Cadillac Super Cruise The interior of the CT5 is said to be a driver-focused high-tech place with touch-sensitive controls set to be a prominent feature. Cadillac’s Super Cruise hands-free driver assist system will also be offered. The CT5 will be Cadillac’s first model to ride on an updated version of General Motors’ rear-wheel-drive Alpha platform. The car has also been confirmed with a 10-speed automatic transmission and the choice of 2.0-liter turbo-4  or 3.0-liter twin-turbo-6 engine. All-wheel drive is also on the options list. Cadillac 4.2-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 Though it’s yet to be confirmed, a high-performance CT5-V packing Cadillac’s 4.2-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 should be launched eventually. Production of the CT5 will be handled at GM’s Lansing Grand River Assembly plant, where the ATS and CTS are currently built. The plant will also be responsible for the compact CT4 sedan. This model is due in showrooms about the same time as the CT5. 2020 Cadillac CT4 spy shots – Image via S. 2020 Cadillac CTS Engine, Price And Release Rumors
New Post has been published on http://usacardriver.xyz/2020-cadillac-cts-engine-price-and-release-rumors/
2020 Cadillac CTS Engine, Price And Release Rumors
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
2020 Cadillac CTS Engine, Price And Release Rumors – We hope the rumor of your upcoming Cadillac CTS 2020 is correct. At this time, Cadillac invested building this vehicle to be able to begin for forthcoming marketplaces. If it rumor applies, we believe Cadillac features a proper planning with some close up levels of competition for working with. Cadillac also provides additional time to accomplish with fantastic modern technology with some new features from the 2020 CTS.
medianet_width = "300"; medianet_height = "250"; medianet_crid = "878829551"; medianet_versionId = "3111299";
2020 Cadillac CTS Exterior And Interior
According to some information we gather, Cadillac will make it more high end and also stylish. This is due to enhancements from the 2020 Cadillac CTS Bodyline. To offer a bit of deluxe, Cadillac gives it by using a significant, stable, quite assertive degree. Not only that, but also has lamp re-designed with a simple design, but extremely magnificent to offer an improved see. We believe that these particular factors are adequate to assist this automobile to be the victor amongst some probable competition.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
It is actually rather unfortunate if we found nothing to repeat the inside the vehicle. It would appear that the high-class concept will probably be held to the cabin. In another term, 2020 Cadillac CTS should provide a nice and clean seem with quite soft subtleties within the cabin. Further new features are feasible; therefore we only need to give the business more hours.
2020 Cadillac CTS Engine Specs
Still, is not recognized by the kind of process that can be used this new result. Cadillac maintains everything less than his hat. Therefore we do not have the recommendation to show anything at all. When your forerunner version is quite well-known, it could be best for the organization to offer it reliable and potent engine, it is actually a city automobile so customers can travel it quick.
Some functions can even be added in 2020 Cadillac CTS. You will enjoy the V2V attribute which allows the driver to speak with all the other driver inside a simple approach. It also has some excellent characteristics that will help you handle the auto in a minute.
2020 Cadillac CTS Release Date And Price
Considering that the information is entirely unclear, it is still difficult to predict the looks and price. 1 particular issue is the fact that vehicle has offered a lot more characteristics as part of Cadillac’s development. If in 2020 or, or else, 2020 Cadillac CTS remains associated with, among other things, high cars are available.
