GRETA THUNBERG

Greta Thunberg, a 16-year-old Swedish activist and Nobel Peace Prize nominee, has become an inspiration to young people. She arrived in New York several days ago via a carbon-free sailing ship to participate in this week’s activities.

Each year, approximately forty billion metric tons of carbon emissions enter our atmosphere from human activity. Our planet’s climate is changing rapidly.

An important Climate Action Summit is set for September 23 at the United Nations in New York.

As a result, many climate change events will be taking place around the country this week. Consider participating in an event and also calling your state and national legislators with your opinion on climate change.
