Westside Kia -2019 Kia Forte FE and LXS Comparison
Tumblr media
For 2019, the Kia Forte gets a whole makeover. This makes the existing Forte part of the third generation of this vehicle that first rolled off of the assembly line in 2010. The Kia Forte is a 4-door sedan compact that was first marketed towards younger customers. It's still a grand budget vehicle, but the Forte has shifted up to be much more with this latest replication.
It's now an excellent choice of a car for practically everyone. The Forte provides a comfortable ride and quality, stylish looks, and outstanding performance.
The 2019 Kia Forte is equipped with four segments. All of these contribute to the same power production. Kia equips the Forte with an I 4, 2.0-liter engine. This engine cranks out about 147 hp. Acceleration on all models is ample. The motor is combined with a manual transmission system of 6-speed or with Kia's auto-manual shifting and IVT overdrive. The transmission system you get relies on the trim level you pick.
Comparing the 2019 Kia Forte FE vs. LXS Trims
The basic trim of the 2019 Kia Forte is titled as the FE. It's the single model to come with a 6-speed manual transmission system with overdrive. The next trim level is called the LXS. It has Kia's IVT mechanism. The FE can have this transmission installed as an option. IVT stands for Intelligent Variable Transmission.
It was engineered to fight some of the downsides with traditional CVT systems found on other vehicles. With the IVT, one can manually shift gears if you require to operate it.
The FE model comes in only three colors
Aurora Black
Gravity Gray
Clear White
LXS gives these and three more choices. They are Deep Sea Blue, Silky Silver, and Currant Red.
LXS has excellent fuel economy numbers than the FE. It receives 40 mpg while driving on the highway and 30 mpg in the city. The FE rates 37 mpg on the highway and 27 mpg in the city.
Both of these trim packages all higher levels and are only available in front-wheel drive. (FWD)
The FE is equipped with 15-inch steel wheels while the LXS sports a set of 16-inch alloy wheels. On the outside of the FE, you receive a solar-control glass, daytime running lights, and body-colored door handles.
Kia also consists of a locking fuel door on the base model. The LXS adds up in black accents on the bumper and chromed exhaust tips.
Moving to the interior, the FE comes with an infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen. The system have connectivity of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The sound system has four speakers and an FM/AM stereo with an input for your MP3/ MP4 player.
Devices can be connected via Bluetooth technology as well. The audio system has controls placed on the steering wheel for safety and convenience: the LXS shares accurate audio systems and the same infotainment.
The seat upholstery for both- the LXS and FE is woven cloth. The passenger and driver's seats are adjustable in 6 ways. Both trims highlight driver assists, such as forward-collision assist.
There's also a forward-collision warning to give you an early heads up. A driver-attention warning ensures you don't doze off on a long journey. A lane-keeping assist makes slight adjustments, so you don't go too far above the line marked.
Both of these trim levels share similar safety characteristics. You get two mounted side airbags and two front airbags for the driver and front passenger. Kia also consists of side curtain airbags for the full length of the interior. A traction-control mechanism keeps the power going to the precise wheels you require it to. Electronic-stability control keeps the vehicle steady. A brake assist makes minor alterations to assist you to discontinue in time.
Child safety locks in the rear, ensuring that small kids don't accidentally open the doors. An emergency release is located within the trunk. Rear and front crease zones, as well as door beams, offer some protection in the adverse scenario of an accident. The steering column offers an impact-absorbing design also.
ABS disc brakes and an evaluating system for your tyre pressure round out some of the more notable safety aspects.
Which Model to Choose?
When suggesting the best choice for a trim level, it's unusual to suggest the highest trim package for the moderate customer. For the 2019 Kia Forte, however, the EX trim package is the best on the whole a worth one. There is only a modest cost raise for each of the trim set on the Kia Forte. Each level adds up in a good deal of useful and exceptional features too.
Since the EX trim package offers you so much for such a minor difference in price, there's almost no motive to settle for anything less.
