Hello

It’s been so long since I’ve made a “proper” post here. Life has been a rollercoaster, but this one so far is the best rollercoaster ride ever. I am continuous learning, learning to be happy and not let the past be my definition of my present. I have been learning to be. 

Over the past two and a half years, I have expanded and I am still expanding to be the person I want to be. I stopped blogging the time I walked away from the toxic environment that I allowed myself to feel unworthy and undeserving of anything good. My idea of worth was based on the validation and expectations of other people, and that certainly was a dangerous measure of my self-worth. I had to do a ton of unlearning and setting boundaries to create a much safer place for growth. And, so far I am still unlearning. 

I have had the intention of writing here for a bit before but I could not get myself to, I think a part of me is resisting to go back to the old me tainted with so much pain that the only escape was to write away those feelings and emotions. But here I am, finally writing again but this time not so much focused on feeling hurt, but more so on healing. 

I am so grateful for everything that has happened.

Destination Vegas and the Grand Opening of Mott32 @ The Venetian

You know it was a good Friday night in @Vegas when you want to spend the entire next day in bed in your luxury suite in pjs at @PalazzoVegas sipping champagne...and, looking at photos of the night before. Last night, Nick and I were invited up to Sin City to toast the grand opening of iconic dim sum restaurant @Mott32 at @VenetianVegas in grand style with a few of the most delicious cocktails we’ve ever tasted (think sweet-and-tangy punchbow creations), tantalizing bites of their new menu, and good company to boot - sharing a laugh with @NBCThisIsUs’s @JustinHartley and his gorgeous wife as we headed off to bed. If this is any indication of how 2019 is gonna be, color us excited! Next up? A tasting dinner tonight at @Mott32vegas and then a whole other Vegas adventure for New Years. 5 days and 4 nights in Vegas sounds like an AWFULLY big adventure, doesn’t it? #WantTheWorld #DawnsDestinations #DineAndDishWithDawn — with Karla Magno Valenzuela and Nick Yedinak at The Venetian Las Vegas.
