I recently saw someone that asked for music recs in their birthdays

And that's awesome but I'm no copy cat so... Since it happens to be my birthday... Do you guys have any movie recs?

#I feel none of my mutuals ever mention movies?#I know a total of 1 mutuals' movie taste and I had to learn that through references found in a fic lol #so yeah #my birthday is a good excuse to get movie recs #I have no problem with any particular content but I've never watched a horror movie since the incident #(ie the time I watched a horror movie when I was like 10 and proceeded to have the most traumatized day of my live)#so... if you recommend a horror movie I can't promise to check it #I've obviously grown up tho -said the guy who recently became 21 years old lol #so it's not like I'll die if there's q jumpscare or a monster or anything #my top 3 on letterbox is:#dead poets society #whispers of the heart #and little women (2019)#(which are like the same freaking movie about dreams and passions and art but in 3 different fonts)#but don't mind that very much #I want recs precisely because I wanna see movies I never even heard or thought about #so give me your fav or something like that #please 🥺

Voiceplay Visuals: Aca Top 10 Hits Of 2019

A bit more of a random-sounding Top 10 for Voiceplay to do, but they did something similar 4 years prior with "Aca Top 10 Summer Hits of 2015" (or something like that - I never watched it). This video released right at the end of December 2019 (just a week after their Frozen 2 Medley, damn), and was arranged by Geoff! And all the other Aca Top 10s have been very comedic visually, so this one should be fun as well! (I have seen this a few times before, but it's not one I've watched a lot)

The guys really said "oh good, a video where we don't have to put as much thought or effort into our clothing choices! 😂"

i just love rescoring programs and getting angry at how vastly i differ from the judges

#i got bored and rescored the top 10 womens for 2019 worlds #6-10 were the same placements (though they were all like 10 points lower than their actual score) but 1-5 completely changed #rika won (as she should have. idc abt the short her free was enough to put her in the lead)#(and even without the axel she came fifth in the sp. yes i gave her 3lz a +5. its amazing)#alina came second (with 16 points lower than she won with) elizabet third kaori fourth and evgenia fifth #if only the judges and tech panel at that competition had a single braincell #still infuriated at the usa judge who gave mariah's second lutz a +3 when even watching the jump in real time you can tell its fucked #also kaori won the short because duh #was talking to my boyfriend all throughout and he just kept going 'is that good. is that bad.' i am teaching him slowly but surely

#ive been misdiagnosed with anxiety dnos for YEARS! I HATE IT HERE!!!!!#not diagnosed because im too smart and even if i cant focus its bc kids these days always on tiktok #and npd traits fuck me up more like #i irrationally see getting a diagnosis as so cliche just because ? idk i read a couple articles about it or something ?#and admitting i have symptoms is conceding some kind of failure ?#and the Narrative of me pulling through and still being top 10% in my school despite the problems is just too compelling for me to want med #if i could go back in time id. get diagnosed in 2019 first of all.#but then id stop the 'burnt out gifted kid' discussion because i feel like a stereotype #when my case is actually totally different because im special. or something. idfk what this barrier is in my mind

"All Star" is a song by the American rockband Smash Mouth, released as the first single from their second studio album, Astro Lounge (1999). It was one of the last tracks to be written for Astro Lounge, after the band's record label Interscope requested more songs that could be released as singles. In writing it, guitarist Greg Camp drew musical influence from contemporary music by artists like Sugar Ray and Third Eye Blind, and sought out to create an "anthem" for outcasts. The song's accompanying music video features characters from the 1999 superhero film Mystery Men, which itself prominently featured "All Star". The song became ubiquitous in popular culture following multiple appearances in films, most notably in DreamWorks Animation's 2001 film Shrek. It received renewed popularity in the 2010s as an internet meme and has ranked as one of the most-streamed rock songs from 2017 to 2021 in the US. In June 2019, the music video was remastered in high definition and received subtitles in commemoration of its 20th anniversary. By that point, it had received over 219 million views on Youtube. In 2020, The New York Times listed the song as #1 in their top ten climate change songs.
