Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and father figures out there! Especially to my dad, who gave me my love of travel by planning all our family’s vacations, played catch and cards with me for hours and hours, and always answered the phone when I called him at work — no matter what. He’s a great dad to his grown-up kids, helping us make our own decisions by asking the right questions instead of telling us what to do. He’s the biggest fan of Travel Mamas and is always happy to act as my editor and cheerleader. Best of all, I love to see my dad as a grandpa. He’s way more patient and emotive now than he was when I was a kid. He acts as assistant coach to my son’s little league baseball team alongside my husband (the head coach and also a wonderful dad!). He picks my kids up from school when I need help and attends every single one of their choir concerts, school plays and art shows. He plays round after round of Clue with them, solves puzzles, and helps with homework.
