KaminariSo, this is basically BNHA Street racer AU. But to be more precise I’m picking the cars for the characters from BNHA. Because cars have characteristic, it has personality and it describes you as a person. Not just based from the body but the engines and the car as whole. So, this is my pick of cars for the character of BNHA

Part 1 For the boys

I’m going to divide it into 2 cars. One is for daily drive/Sports car and the other is The Supercar. The Sports car will describe them as characters individuals. While the Supercar will describe their full potentials.

Midoriya Izuku

Midoriya Izuku, The protagonist of the Anime. He is too good of a boy to mess around street Racing. The Color for his car is obviously Green, in that case I Recommend Him.

Sport car/ Daily Drive:

The Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX.

To be more specific. It is Brian’s First car In the Fast and the furious franchise (R.I.P Paul Walker). This car is one of the Tuners favorite car to modify. It is run by 4G63 Engine, it is the same Engine that run an EVO F*CKING LANCER which is one of the finest cars that has been made on earth (Minus the Turbo). So it plays well with the whole inheritance thing with All Might.

Supercar:

For the supercar, I would Recommend McLaren 675LT

This car Look Great In green. The whole characteristic of this car reminds me of Midoriya. This car shown how it can blend to the society, how it was able to move fast and aggressively while at the same time maintaining Elegance. This car looked slim, but its performance is something else 3.8 L V8 Twin Turbo Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) Gives the ability for the driver to drive like a maniac. The car produces more or less 675 Horsepower (Just like its name) and can go to 0-100 Km in 2.9 Seconds and a top speed with 330 Km/h (205 Mph).

For Bakugo, His car has to be loud and Fast! He needs a car that’s intimidating. For the color I’m Thinking Red, Yellow or Black. But since the car need to look Antagonizing, I’m going with black. So, the car that I propose.

Dodge Charger SRT Hell Cat 2015

This car is a 6.2L Hemi V8 Supercharged. The roars in this car is nothing short. This car is for sure is Intimidating. The roar of the engine is equivalent to Bakugo’s Roar of explosive anger. I was considering the newer one like the SRT Redeye Hellcat or even The Demon. But the demons is more of the inner demon screaming trying to get out. It needed a Rumbling sound of the V8, The insane roar that is deafening.

Supercar:

For the Supercar, it is very difficult. I can choose Hyper cars but they just felt a bit too well mannered compared to Bakugo. But I’ve given a lot of thought and the only car that fits is This

Pagani Zonda R

This car is basically an f1 with a two-seater and a roof. This bad boy is a track only car. So, it is “Street Illegal!!” But that won’t stop Bakugo for using this beauty. This car on high rev speaks will be all the explanation needed on the reason why I chose this car. A car with 700 BHP and only weight 1,070 Kg (In comparison Ford focus weight 1,471 Kg) Which is like a feather.

Todoroki Shoto

For Todoroki His car has to be cool, matured and Luxurious but also High performance. I’m a bit mixed up with the colors Whether I should make it blue or white or red. But since I cant decide I leave it in the ‘Grey’ area. Get it? Ill just get on with it.

Aston Martin DB11

Aston Martin is well known on it’s Luxury and History. Which fits Todoroki’s Prince aura/Characteristics. The performance is also nothing short, Aston Martin is also well known to make a brilliant Engine for racing. A twin turbocharged V12 Produce 600 BHP with a top speed 201Km/h (125Mph).

Supercar

For the Super car, I think Lamborghini Huracan Performante.

It is a naturally aspirated 5.2L V10 Engine AWD. This car has a fierce fiery engine on its car but still has that cool matured Body. And the ALA (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva) Is brilliant. It is an active Aerodynamic system that allows the car to go faster.

The car that this Manly man need to go with is the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500.

This car is a normal Aspirated V8 with a high rev engine. It creates something Revolutionary From something traditional.

Ojiro is a traditional Japanese person, So his car has to be totally Japanese. My pick have to be The S30 Fairlady Z.

For the Supercar It has to be the last piece of The JDM Legend. It is The GTR R35 NISMO.

This car is perfect for Ojiro, They both are the Representative Character of Japan.

A friend of mine said that Shoji, is the kind of guy who would drive a van for daily basis (So I guessed it has to be an American Car). But to me, Shoji is the Kind of guy that likes to get Dirt under his wheels. And I'm pretty sure Shoji is the kind of kid that doesn’t Mind flying in the car on daily basis.

Supercar:

For the Supercar I propose, Ford Gt.

It is well planted and the car is very wide. Fitting to describes Shoji’s ‘Arms’. Although it might not have similarities with his daily car, But this car is all I could think of.

This is Yoko my 2002 Platinum Metallic Silver Subaru Wrx Bugeye. I always wanted a bugeye since before I was even in highschool, so I started busting my ass detailing cars throughout highschool to get my dream car. I bought her on August 19th 2017 as a dumb 16 year old, most of the mods were already done to it by the previous owner Alec. Its lowered on bc racing coilovers, has a stage 2 cobb off the shelf tune, mishmoto rad, 3in uppipe and downpipe, sti interior, the basic wrx asshole stuff. I daily drove it to highscool, work and occasional carshows. I absolutely fell in love with this bugeyed beauty. But in 2019, I think march, she had a small engine fire along the passenger headgasket and near the turbo and has sat since. It needs a lot of work, time, and love. Im willing to do that but the only problem is the money to do so. Im hoping to get started on her this summer. She has loads of rust along the rockers, rear quarters, subframe, rad support, and some along the top of the windshield. The motor will probably need to be gone over from the block up. She probably will receive a new turbo too. All my axels should be replaced along with a new break kit too. For the exterior I plan on WRC Style wide arches, either a Tommy Kaira front bumper or a Prodrive one, jdm rear bumper and sideskirt extensions, jdm projector headlights, new taillights, and to finish a fresh Sonic Yellow paint job. Will I ever achieve this? Who the fuck knows or gives half a fuck. Idk why I decided to make this tumbler I guess we will have to see. If you read all this thanks for caring about my shitbox.

Tokyo Auto Salon Weekend 2019

Busy. Hectic. Fulfilling. Exciting.

Tokyo Auto Salon weekend was all of those things for me. The festivities began with the annual Rauh-Welt Begriff meeting and party at Hard Rock Cafe. From what I’ve been told, this year may be the final year for the event at Hard Rock Cafe, and with it being well publicized, there was no shortage of car tourists and YouTubers in addition to the usual Idlers crowd. The meet was exactly what one would expect; RWB customized Porsches during a freezing cold night in the heart of Tokyo. The party required a cover charge that included an all you can eat and drink buffet. Nakai-san definitely knows how to host. I linked up with some old friends, both Japanese and American RWB owners and we chopped it up for a while.

It’s been said that the natural progression for Subaru enthusiasts is to get a Porsche. I don’t necessarily disagree with that. Admittedly, I’m hesitant to get a 911 or a Cayman because of money and the stigma that they’re “widow-makers.” I still whole-heartedly love Subaru as a brand and have every intention on purchasing a brand new BRZ STI Sport as soon as my finances allow me to do so. Affirmation, right? While having this very conversation with a 993 owner, he understood where I was coming from. For him, his daily is a VAB WRX STI and his weekender happens to be an RWB 911.

The following day had me and Fuji Select cohort Ben sitting in some vicious traffic on the way to Tokyo Auto Salon. We had advance, VIP tickets for Friday which meant we got to avoid the bigger crowds. Having a head start means that we could freely move around to the different halls of Makuhari Messe without much of a headache. Unfortunately, we were traveling from Kanagawa during rush hour traffic. What would typically be a little over two hours became a nearly four. I thought ahead and drove the family car instead of us sitting in stop-and-go traffic in the cockpit of an NSX. Once there, it was all good.

I’ll put together an album that’s a bit more focused on the TAS coverage so things feel a lot less cluttered in a blog entry. There was so much heat. Shown above is the Mugen RC20GT, a workover of the new Honda Civic Type-R (FK8). It’s gaudy, obnoxious, aggressive, and absolutely beautiful.

I must admit that I have no idea why people dislike the new Supra. The body lines are nice and it will serve its purpose well. I can see this car being a favorite among those who want a fairly luxurious, comfortable, grand tourer. Then again, it’s always those on the internet who don’t have the means or intention to purchase debut cars with the most to say. I, for one, look forward to renting and driving this when it becomes available.

I will never pass up an opportunity to shoot the GT300 BRZ and buy merchandise from Subaru, even if I don’t need it. Here’s hoping that this upcoming Super GT season results in a podium for STI and me owning the engineering for myself. Again, affirmation.

Of all the vendors at TAS, I enjoy Deep Lifestyles the most. DPLS is a streetwear brand based out of Los Angeles. They have representation in Taiwan and have collaborated with some of the who’s-who of the automotive world for clothing and other merch. As you can see, they’re in bed with both RWB and Car Guy, giving them more than enough credibility here in Japan. Additionally, their booth plays the best music, has a lively group of models, and are stylistically light years ahead of most other brands.

Volkswagen unveils its most powerful Golf yet

Volkswagen said it won’t be selling the base version of its newly redesigned Golf compact car in the United States, but it will sell this new, more powerful Golf R, which has a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 27 more horsepower than the previous Golf R model. It also sells the 228-horsepower Golf GTI here.

That’s because, while most Americans prefer crossover SUVs — and VW has several of those to offer — there’s still a market here for small cars with outsized performance.

The new Golf R will be available in the US during the second half of 2021. VW hasn’t announced pricing yet, but prices for the 2019 Golf R started at over $40,000.

The Golf R will compete against models like the Subaru WRX STI, a version of the Subaru Impreza, and the Honda Civic Type R, both extreme performance versions of other efficient small cars.

The Golf R has an improved torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system that can automatically send more power to one or the other rear wheel depending on the traction needs from moment to moment. It also shifts power automatically from the front wheels to the rear as needed. The car’s top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph.

The driver can select from different driving modes that change settings for the car’s steering, suspension, four-wheel-drive system and gas pedal response. Besides Comfort, Sport and Track modes, there is also a Special mode with settings designed for Germany’s famous Nürburgring Nordschleife track. Among other things, the suspension is softer than in Track mode to better handle the Nordschleife’s undulating pavement.

There is also a Drift mode — which is not intended for use on public roads — to allow drivers to more easily slide the car sideways and do smokey, tire-burning donuts.

The Golf R will be available with either a seven-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual. The manual transmission was an important feature for the US market, which has been the number one market for the Golf R worldwide. In the past, 40% of Golf R buyers in the US have chosen the manual transmission, according to a VW spokesman. The automatic transmission will be manually shiftable, with steering wheel paddles.

2020 Subaru WRX and WRX STI Series.White First Test: When Performance Meets Looks

When a generation of a vehicle is about to be retired, automakers usually reveal special edition models to attract new customers. It’s also a nice farewell for the vehicle and an easier way to sell cars. The story of the Subaru WRX and WRX STI is no different. The car was introduced over five years ago, and we’ve already seen concepts of what the next-gen WRX could look like, and we’ve heard rumors that say the next STI could make 400 hp. After revealing the Series.Gray, STI Type RA and STI S209 over the past few years, Subaru showed the WRX and WRX STI Series.White at the 2019 LA Auto Show, and we recently had the chance to get behind the wheel and run our series of standardized tests on these two powerful models.

Before we get into the numbers and driving impressions, let’s talk about what’s different with the Series.White models. Subaru is limiting the WRX and WRX STI to 500 units each, and they both add the exclusive Ceramic White exterior paint, Crystal Black mirror caps, and matte bronze BBS wheels (19-inch for the WRX and 20-inch for the STI). Inside, both models get suede Recaro performance seats, which are usually only found on the STI, and a six-speed manual transmission is the sole gearbox for both Series.White models.

There are no changes under the hood—the STI Series.White continues to be powered by Subaru’s aging 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-four that delivers 310 hp and 290 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels, while the WRX’s heart is a 2.0-liter turbo flat-four with 268 hp and 258 lb-ft. What did change under the skin is the suspension; these Series.White models get Bilstein dampers and Brembo brakes. The STI also adds Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. To make the STI a bit lighter, Subaru ditched the spare tire in favor of a tire-repair kit.

Don’t let its appearances trick you. Despite the fancy color and good-looking wheels, the STI continues to be harsh to drive. With its heavy clutch pedal, you’ll feel like you’re getting a workout every time you press the clutch. And like an old Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, the STI’s stiff suspension will make you want to visit the chiropractor more often. Even at the track, where the open field makes it easier to drive, the STI wasn’t as friendly. There’s also a lot of pros, though. Its steering is direct and gives you plenty of feedback, and the engine sounds and feels like it came from a rally car. But if you’re looking for something smoother, the regular WRX might be the right choice. Its suspension is smoother, and the engine is quite peppy. The clutch pedal isn’t as firm, and the transmission is easy to shift. The engine note, though not as loud as the STI’s, is still sporty, and the steering feels nicely weighted with great feedback of what’s happening on the road.

During our straight-line acceleration tests, road test editor Chris Walton had trouble launching the STI consistently. “It either bogs, or you have to feather the clutch so much that it starts to feel abusive,” he said. “The clutch is really grabby, the shifter is notchy, and it just doesn’t like the dragstrip.” Those launch difficulties hobbled the STI’s acceleration; it was slower on the 0–60 mph run than the regular WRX, taking 6 seconds flat compared to the WRX’s 5.6 seconds. Despite being more powerful, the STI barely beat the WRX on the quarter mile run (14.2 seconds at 101.6 mph vs. 14.0 seconds at 98.7 mph).

Like Walton, testing director Kim Reynolds preferred the WRX over the STI, though he praised the high-performance model for its flat and stable posture on the figure eight. “Oddly enough, this one is almost more fun than the STI because of its slightly greater roll on the corners,” he said.

The Brembo brakes did help both cars, however. Compared to the a 2018 WRX Premium and 2018 WRX STI, the Series.White stopped from 60 to 0 mph in a shorter distance. The STI came to a stop after 103 feet (compared to 109), whereas the WRX stopped in 110 feet (compared to 113). And besides the better grab, both Subarus look much more handsome with those brakes.

Inside, both models are pretty much the same. The Series.White’s 7.0-inch infotainment screen is unchanged and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The suede upholstered Recaro seats provide plenty of lateral support and enough cushion. Despite inheriting its motorsports performance and looks, the WRX and WRX STI continue to be quite spacious inside. Even the second row has enough legroom, and there’s plenty of cargo room for luggage.

If you’re thinking about getting a Series.White but can’t decide on the model, we’d recommend the regular WRX. The STI is too harsh and uneasy, and besides being more expensive, it’s also a bit slower than the WRX. We get the rally spirit and the legacy of the STI brand, but the WRX is just as fast, and you still get the sporty looks (sans the gigantic wing). We don’t know how much longer this current-gen WRX will be around, but the Subaru WRX and WRX STI Series.White combine the stylish appearance and performance in a way that few can.
