I don't usually send asks but be careful. The hsr fandom is mass reporting any dubcon or noncon accounts in the fandom. They got someone's account deleted the other day and accused them of promoting r@pe.
I hope u have a good day!
Tumblr media
Oh thank you! I don't pay much attention to fandom stuff so I don't know…I guess people are crying and screaming over the morality of fictional content again💀
To cite the fact, I recently purchased some comics from DL sites, which according to wiki already have over 9 million global users in 2022. There are many popular otome comics, CDs, sounds and games available online where you can buy them. As you've probably read, those comics are quite famous. You can see that the first place is yandere, the second place is non-con, and the third place is sweet love story. I did a quick count, and one-third of the top 100 are non-con, dub-con, and yandere content. That is almost the most popular and best-selling content theme in otome around the world. I guess that proves something.
Women…not just women, people's sexual repression and shame are quite evident around the world. Sex cannot be mentioned or discussed in the public sphere, let alone your desires, which are not accepted. Many people who have CNC kink are people who have rape fantasies. If the protagonist is forced to take away, overwhelm, in the fantasy, then there will be less sexual guilt because you are being forced.
David W. Wahl Ph.D. points out in "Understanding and Indulging in Rape Fantasy":
In Lehmiller’s (2018) survey results of 4,175 adults in the United States, he found that two-thirds of women in the study had rape fantasies and half of the men surveyed reported having rape fantasies.
And he mentioned the stigma surrounding rape fantasies:
As in all types of sexual desires, there are those who will stigmatize anyone who is sexually aroused by rape fantasy. Those who do not find arousal in this form of desire often cannot understand why others would like it. And, unfortunately, when some individuals are not interested in a particular desire, they act to shame anyone who is.
To summarize, the reasons for having rape fantasies mentioned in his article are:
Coping with past sexual assault
For sexual exploration
Rape fantasies can provide excuses, meaning the person can convince themselves that they did not want it but were forced to do so.
Oops, maybe some of the people staring at my page are now thinking "Oh my God, that's terrible. I'm going to report this to foreign website. So many people have these vicious and unacceptable thoughts in their minds" and "They are defending and encouraging rape". They cry out to their inner morals, "That's disgusting!", "Why do these studies justify these evil ideas?"
I'm not surprised. Reading ability is limited.

The numbers grow ever larger for Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, according to initial reports to data tracking firm Luminate. (Luminate’s sales, streaming and airplay data powers Billboard’s charts. All numbers in this story reflect U.S. consumption only.)
In the album’s first four days of release (April 19-22), the set’s collected 31 songs (on its deluxe edition) generated 602.3 million on-demand official streams in the U.S. – breaking Swift’s own record for the largest streaming week for an album by a woman. She previously held the record with the opening frame of her last studio album, Midnights, which collected 549.3 million on-demand official streams for its 20 tracks (in the week ending Oct. 27, 2022).
The Tortured Poets Department also claims the third-largest streaming week overall, surpassing Midnights, and only trailing the opening frames of Drake’s Scorpion (745.92 million for its 25 songs in 2018) and Certified Lover Boy (743.67 million for its 21 songs in 2021).
Equivalent Album Units & Sales So Far: In the album’s first four days of release, The Tortured Poets Department has earned 2.1 million equivalent album units, with traditional album sales (purchases of digital downloads, CDs, vinyl LPs and cassettes) accounting for 1.6 million of that sum.

I'm curious what trance music Nakata listens (or listened) to, I can hear the obvious influence on a few of his songs. Do you happen to know?
Mapping out his musical influences has always been of great interest to me, but it's mostly been very difficult because he seldom talks about it. As far as trance is concerned, I'd say start with the soundtracks to the earlier Wipeout games, as that series featured a lot of prominent electronic artists (whose styles may encompass trance) and he mentioned it specifically in this interview with Famitsu in 2018 (untranslated):
"It was through videogames that I could hear genres of music that were new to me, and the 1990s was the beginning of games being technologically capable of using music a person could hear on CDs in the stores. Basically the hardware was no longer having to produce the sounds heard in-game, so game soundtracks functioned almost like compilation albums. This was what impressed me so much about the Wipeout series. [...] They included the biggest names in techno. As I played it, I was unwittingly listening to a techno album. I wouldn't have had that experience if I hadn't bought the game. ...Of course, I'm a techno fan, so I knew about the soundtrack ahead of time and bought it because of that (laughs). [...] I think that even today there are probably a lot of people who are introduced to stuff like the Designers Republic graphic design studio or the techno unit Orbital through playing Wipeout."
Other than all that, I'm no expert on Tetsuya Komuro's oeuvre, but I think he's done some trance...somewhere. May or may not have been in the nineties when Nakata's brain was still forming though, lol.

CRISTINA SCABBIA Says Next LACUNA COIL Album Won't Arrive Before 2024
Tumblr media
During an appearance on the latest episode of Knotfest's "She's With The Band", the show hosted by Tori Kravitz and Alicia Atout aiming to amplify the voices of women on stage, backstage and in the business, LACUNA COIL singer Cristina Scabbia spoke about the progress of the songwriting sessions for the band's follow-up to 2019's "Black Anima" album. She said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "We are already writing music. But I think it's going to be 2024 [before the new album is released].
"The problem is not really the music that we write. But now, in order to deliver a record, it takes a lot more time," she explained. "The pandemic delayed everything. And metal music is maybe the only genre in which the physical support [is] still very important. Because there are a lot of collectors, a lot of fans [who] really want to keep the copy of the record in their hand. And it takes time to print vinyls, to print CDs. You need sometimes one year in between the delivering of the master and the release of the record, because you have to set up a lot of things. That's why I'm talking about 2024. Maybe we will record an album in 2023, but it probably will be delivered in 2024. But we are definitely writing new music."
Earlier this month, LACUNA COIL released a new single, "Never Dawn". For the track, LACUNA COIL partnered with CMON, the renowned board game publisher behind the popular game "Zombicide". "Never Dawn" is a notable addition to CMON's latest Kickstarter project, "Zombicide: White Death", and was initially used as an instrumental version in a campaign trailer. The game introduces new characters, mechanics, and challenges for players to overcome, and the upcoming "White Death" version features five LACUNA COIL limited-edition survivor tokens.
Designed by Nicolas Raoult, one of the designers of the original "Zombicide", along with Jean-Baptiste Lullien and Raphaël Guiton, "Zombicide: White Death" is a sequel to the fantasy spinoff version of "Zombicide" with a new wintery theme. The third installment in this series, it follows "Zombicide: Black Plague", which introduced the concept in 2016, and "Zombicide Green Horde", which came out in 2018.
LACUNA COIL has spent the last few months promoting "Comalies XX", the recently released "deconstructed" and "transported" version of the band's third album, "Comalies".
"Comalies XX" was made available on October 14, 2022 via Century Media Records.
LACUNA COIL celebrated the 20th anniversary of "Comalies", by performing it in its entirety at a one-night-only concert on October 15, 2022 at Fabrique in Milano.
"Comalies" was originally released on October 29, 2002 through Century Media Records. The LP, which featured the band's breakthrough single "Heaven's A Lie", has reportedly gone on to sell over 300,000 copies in the United States alone.
LACUNA COIL played its first show in front of an audience in more than two years on April 7, 2022 as the support act for APOCALYPTICA at the Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia.
Prior to the Atlanta concert, the last time LACUNA COIL played together was at the group's special September 2020 livestream event where the bandmembers performed "Black Anima" in its entirety with no audience in attendance at the Alcatraz Club in Milan, Italy. That show was released as a live album, "Live From The Apocalypse", via Century Media.

big number.....
40: Who wish I could be (sic): this is kinda hard. I can't really think of a particular person I wish I could be over myself, at least not in totality. more generally I very often wish I was more functional and productive and driven and such. just like, better at carrying things out and following through. I'm always envious of the type of cool well organised girl who seems to have all her shit together.
44: A random fact about anything: The Roland TB-303 Bass Line synthesizer was marketed as a replacement for bass guitar, but because of its unrealistic sound and difficulty to use it was a commercial failure at the time of release. Because of this, remaining stock were sold off very cheaply and many units were resold and donated by disappointed customers and years later the 303 became very popular among house music producers, integral to the development of Acid House. The squelchy 303 tone and musicality of the tone controls remains iconic and well-recognised to this day.
44: A random fact about anything: CD Audio is encoded with pulse code modulation (PCM) with a sample rate of 44,100 Hz and a bit-depth of 16. this means that in the recording or conversion of audio to this format, the amplitude of the analog signal is sampled 44,100 times each second at a resolution of 16 bits (as a two's complement integer, -32768 to +32767 in decimal). The bit-depth determines the dynamic range possible for a recording, and the sample rate determines the top of the frequency range (the sample rate is twice the value of frequencies that can be represented, due to the Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorum). The sample rate is chosen such that it can in theory represent the full range of frequencies humans are capable of hearing (up to 22.05 kHz)
44: A random fact about anything: even though it's considered outdated and is no longer present as a diagnosis in the DSM-5, on paper I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome in ~2018 because the psychiatrist I saw still used the DSM-IV for diagnosis, for some reason. (I don't personally identify with this label because of its eugenicist history and connotations)

DORO PESCH Is Continuing Work On New Solo Album
Tumblr media
German metal queen Doro Pesch recently spent time at Miami Beach Recording Studios laying down vocal tracks for her upcoming studio album.
Earlier today (Friday, February 3),Doro shared a few photos from inside and outside the studio, including a couple of her sitting behind the wheel of a RAM truck. She captioned the pictures: "Here I RAM in Miami, doing more vocals for the new album!
"Wish that ride was mine, but it's the studio owner's. Thanks, Pablo, I'm soooo jealous".
Last October, Doro spoke to Metal Rules about the status of the songwriting and recording sessions for the follow-up to her 2018 double album "Forever Warriors, Forever United". She said: "The new record is almost done. It's like 80 percent done, and there are awesome songs. There are anthems, fast songs, and some really soulful songs. So, I think that 80 percent of the record is already done. I mean, 80 percent of the songwriting is done, and we have recorded lots of stuff. It will be out sometime later [in 2023]."
Asked if her new album will be stylistically similar to "Forever Warriors, Forever United", she said: "Yeah, but it's probably not a double album. The next year is my 40th anniversary as an artist. And, of course, we want to do something special, but it will be a single album."
"Forever Warriors, Forever United" featured 19 regular tracks and six bonus songs.
In September, Doro released a very unique single — a soulful adaptation of her classic metal anthem "Raise Your Fist In The Air". The track was made possible by the new ZDF (national German TV channel) music show "Music Impossible".
In May 2022, Doro told Sleaze Roxx that she does most of her songwriting now with former SISTERS OF MERCY guitarist Andreas Bruhn. "I met him, I think, in 1986," she said. "We've always worked good together. Actually, the new bass player we have in Europe, we wrote a new killer song together so that's a new friendship. It's an anthem. It's good! And I wrote one song with my very first producer from the 'Hellbound' album. We met up again and wrote a nice song together. It's a song for the animals because I love animals. It's called 'Heavenly Creatures'. That will definitely be on the new record I'm planning on putting out next year. Next year, I have my 40th year anniversary so we want to celebrate it big."
In celebration of 35 years of the "Triumph And Agony" album from her former band WARLOCK, Doro released "Triumph And Agony Live" in various formats, including CD, vinyl, cassette, DVD, Blu-ray, and a huge box set, in September 2021 through her own label, Rare Diamonds Productions. The "Triumph And Agony" artwork centered on Geoffrey Gillespie's famous original drawing of the "Warlock" embracing the blonde rock star.

against my initial assumption, this is not only about the US
the entire paper is avaliable in open access here: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0160412024004355#s0030
excerpt from the study:
In all three government bodies (US, EU, UK) where we purchased tampons for this study, regulations around tampons are not extensive and do not require regular product testing. In the US, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classifies tampons as medical devices and regulates their safety (Kwak et al., 2019). However, there is no requirement to test tampons for chemical contaminants, and the FDA only recommends that tampons not contain two dioxin compounds or pesticide residues (United States Food and Drug Administration, 2005). In the EU, tampons are regulated under the General Product Safety Directive (2001/95/EC) (Kwak et al., 2019) and follow a code of “good practice” developed by the tampon manufacturing industry (Ms. Jourova on behalf of the Commission, 2016). This code similarly does not require testing for chemicals (Absorbent Hygiene Products Working Group of EDANA, 2020). In the UK, tampons are regulated under the General Product Safety Regulations 2005, which requires that “no producer shall place a product on the market unless the product is safe” and that consumers are provided with enough information to “assess the risks inherent in a product” (The General Product Safety Regulations, 2005). In contrast, the EU restricts the concentrations of Pb, Cd, Cr (VI) and As in textile fabrics to be less than 1 mg/kg (European Commission, 2018). While the concentrations of Pb, Cd, and As we found in tampons were all lower than 1 mg/kg, we highlight that tampons are in contact with vaginal mucosa rather than the skin with which other textiles are in contact, which may increase absorption, potentially resulting in higher exposure risk even from low concentrations. In general, regulations in the US, EU, and UK protecting consumers from potential contaminants in tampons are nearly nonexistent, and none of these governments requires manufacturers to test their products for harmful chemicals, including metals.
As the authors state: we do not know "whether metals can leach out of tampons and become bioaccessible for vaginal absorption".
There are, of course, certain limitations of this exploratory study, and the authors claim that for now it's impossible to responsibly assess the risks of from tampon use due to lack of research done on the potential bio-accessibility of tampons. The summary, however, states quite confidently that: "Our findings point towards the need for regulations requiring the testing of metals in tampons by manufacturers." Which, given that they've found fucking lead in them, I find it to be a rather sensible conclusion.
my period is back again and id like to take this moment to remind everyone with a uterus to avoid using tampons at all costs, if you can. a recent study was conducted with 14 different popular brands of tampons, revealing that every single one of them contained toxic metals such as lead, arsenic, and more.

Menelusuri Perjalanan Sukses PlayStation dari Masa ke Masa
Tumblr media
Game eksklusif seperti God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, dan Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas menonjolkan kekuatan PS2 dalam grafis dan gameplay.
Namun, seiring waktu, PS3 mulai mendapatkan pengakuan berkat game eksklusifnya yang berkualitas tinggi, seperti Uncharted, The Last of Us, dan Gran Turismo 5.

North American Tour 2024: Opeth w/ Tribulation Live at Tabernacle (Atlanta)
Swedish metal titans Opeth hinted to their fans about a North American Tour 2024 via their social media channels on April 23rd, then on June 7th the anticipation was over when the dates were finally announced to the eager fans in North America. In addition, fellow Swedish metal gods Tribulation was added as a special guest on Opeth’s North American Tour 2024 on August 28th. Opeth last toured the United States and Canada in May 2022, so they were long overdue for a tour stateside, and their fans were hungry for more. I saw a date for October 22nd at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA. so I knew I had to save that date. Truthfully, this would be my first time seeing Opeth perform live, and I was ready to get my first show under my belt. I have also never seen Tribulation live before, so this was a pleasant surprise to get two legendary bands off my bucket list in one eventful night.
Opeth is a progressive rock/progressive metal/death metal band from Stockholm, Sweden that has been together since 1990. Opeth consists of Mikael Akerfeldt (guitars/lead vocals), Martin Mendez (bass), Fredrik Akesson (guitars/backing vocals), Joakim Svalberg (keyboards/backing vocals), and Waltteri Vayrynen (drums). Opeth has released thirteen (13) LPs, four (4) live albums, thirty (30) singles and EPs, six (6) music videos, and six (6) compilations. It is worth noting that Opeth’s latest release, The Last Will and Testament (November 22nd,2024) is available for pre-order through the band’s website. Plus, you can pre-order a special reissue of their fourth album, Still Life, celebrating the 25th anniversary of its release.
Although Opeth has been active for 34 years, I first heard their music after the release of their third album My Arms, Your Hearse (1998). Frankly, I was speechless upon first listening to that album with its rich layers and complex riffs which added to their already very distinctive sound. Opeth would go on to release many incredible albums which are perfect from start to finish. I recommend diving into Orchid, Still Life, Blackwater Park, Ghost Reveries, Pale Communion, and Sorceress. I would be remiss if I did not tell you to check one of my favorite live records of all time, Gardens of the Titans: Live at Red Rocks Amphitheater released on Nuclear Blast Records (November 2, 2018). Since purchasing this record off their web store, it is in my constant rotation of records to spin.
Tribulation is a death/gothic metal band from Stockholm, Sweden that has been active since 2004. During 2001-2004 they were previously known as Hazard. Tribulation is Joseph Tholl (guitars), Johannes Andersson (bass/vocals), Oscar Leander (drums), and Adam Zaars (guitars). Tribulation has released six (6) LPs, six (6) EPs, two (2) splits, eight (8) singles, and one (1) live album, their latest release entitled Sub Rosa In Aeternum (2024). I was also late to the party listening to Tribulation, it was not until the release of their third album The Children of the Night (April 20, 2015) off Century Media Records before I heard this band. I remember the cover of the CD catching my eye in a friend’s collection and my curiosity was quickly satisfied after listening to just a few songs.
Something to note about this performance, besides being a sold-out show, the floor for the Tabernacle was seated for this event. I have seen this happen once before for the Jim James (lead singer of My Morning Jacket) solo tour in 2018. But never for a metal tour, so I knew that tonight would be an enchanting and very memorable evening with these two metal legends. Tribulation kicked off the evening with a crushing introduction to their set with their song “Tainted Skies” followed by one of my favorite tracks “Nightbound” from their fourth album Down Below (2018). Halfway through the set, Andersson announced the premiere of a new song, “Hungry Waters”, to the delight of the fans in attendance. This set was everything I hoped for my first time seeing Tribulation perform live. I hear the influence of their music in so many bands, such as Unto Others and the Atlanta-based Cloak.
Check out Tribulation’s setlist from their opening support at the Tabernacle:
·         “Tainted Skies”
·         “Nightbound”
·         “Suspiria de profundis”
·         “Hungry Waters”
·         “Saturn Coming Down”
·         “Strange Gateways Beckon”
·         “Melancholia”
You can head over to Tribulation’s website and watch some videos that they have available for viewing.
Opeth took the stage at the historic Tabernacle to the excitement of a sold-out crowd gathered on a Tuesday evening in downtown Atlanta. Starting the set, Opeth debuted the new single, “§1”, from their upcoming release The Last Will and Testament. It was epic to see Opeth perform this song live for the first time in Atlanta. One of the many highlights of the evening was when Akerfeldt requested the audience to sing the refrain for “In My Time of Need” and let me tell you everyone in attendance was ready for the assignment. Later in the set, Opeth debuted another single from their new album, “§3”, and we all knew how lucky we were to watch history in the making. Akerfeldt was adamant that Atlanta was the most enthusiastic and excited crowd so far on the tour. This endearing sentiment by Akerfeldt was happily backed up by Vayrynen sitting behind the drum kit.
While walking around the venue, I noticed Brent Hinds and Bill Kelliher (from the band Mastodon) enjoying some free time watching their buds perform in their hometown. I love seeing homies support the homies! During one of my favorite tracks, “Ghost of Perdition”, I had goosebumps when the audience joined in and sang along with Akerfeldt with the refrain and beautiful harmonies throughout the song. After “Ghost of Perdition”, Opeth waved goodbye and left the stage, but the crowd made sure they came back onstage for an encore. And oh my what an encore did they have in store for us this evening. Opeth came out to perform two more songs, “Sorceress” and “Deliverance”, which Akerfeldt admitted that the band considers “Deliverance” to be the band’s quintessential song, and during their performance, you could tell the band enjoyed jamming out to this song.

Lalo Schifrin (born on this day in 1932)
Tumblr media
Educated by his father, Luis Schifrin, (Boris Claudio Schifrin , Buenos Aires, June 21, 1932), first violinist of the Teatro Colón Orchestra of Buenos Aires in the environment of classical music from a very young age, Lalo traveled to Paris to study classical music and jazz at the Parisian conservatory where, during the week he would study classical music, and on weekends he performed in small jazz clubs with the best jazz exponents in Europe. When he returned to Buenos Aires in the mid-1950s, he formed his own band and on a visit by the legendary trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, passing through Buenos Aires, he has the opportunity to see him live. Dizzy, after hearing his music, offers her to travel with him to New York as his pianist and director. From that moment on, Lalo Schifrin began to compose music, writing more than 100 melodies for movies and television series. He was nominated for Grammy Awards 21 times, winning 4; He also received an ACE Award, and 6 Oscar nominations. The films and television series that contain Schifrin's most famous works are: 'Mission Impossible'; 'Kung Fu' and 'Mannix.' As a jazz musician he has shared the stage with great instrumentalists and singers such as Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Stan Getz, and Count Basie among others. Throughout his long and successful career, Lalo Schifrin has performed in the best concert halls in the world such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, The Music Center in Los Angeles, the Sala Pleyel in Paris, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, as well as at all major jazz festivals in the United States and Europe. Schifrin made it possible for the three most important tenors of the late 20th century: José Carreras, Placido Domingo, and Luciano Pavarotti, to sing together through his arrangements and mixes so that each one's tones coincide. This highly successful series of recordings has attracted many new admirers in the world of classical music.
Tumblr media
In 1993, Schifrin came to prominence as a composer, pianist and conductor for his series of recordings entitled 'Jazz Meets the Symphony', where he worked with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra, as well as with jazz musicians Ray Brown, Grady Tate, Jon Faddis, Paquito D'Rivera, and Jeff Hamilton. Schifrin's honors include the BMI Lifetime Achievement Award (1988), the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres from the French Minister of Culture, the Distinguished Artist Award (1988) from the Music Center of The Angels; the title of consultant to the President of Argentina on Cultural Issues (1998); and the appointment of Musical Director of the Los Angeles Latin Jazz Institute Festival (1999). At the time of writing this biography, Lalo Schifrin continues to compose jazz and classical music; He tours with major orchestras and works on composing music for films. In 2018, Schifrin received an Honorary Oscar for his entire professional career from the Hollywood Academy.
