Top 10 2018 Honda Accord Specs You Need to Know
[See image gallery at www.autoguide.com] The Honda Accord is back for 2018 and is better than ever. Packed with a lot of new technology, powertrains, and a bold new design language, we dive into the details of this sure-to-be-popular family sedan. 2018 Honda Accord Specs Turbocharged Engine Lineup The Accord is ditching its naturally aspirated four-cylinder and V6 for turbocharging across its entire engine range. The turbo 1.5-liter four-cylinder, shared with the Civic and the CR-V, has 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. Drivers can get a CVT or six-speed manual transmission for this engine. The uplevel engine, a detuned 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder from the Civic Type R, can also be ordered with the manual but introduces a new 10-speed automatic transmission shared with the new Odyssey. The 2.0L engine has 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, a 26-hp deficit from the outgoing model’s V6 but an impressive 21 lb-ft improvement from that same engine. Even more impressive? Premium gas is not required for both engines. 2018 Honda Accord Pros and Cons Increased Cargo Capacity Despite its slinky new profile, cargo capacity is at a huge 16.7 cubic feet, which is a slight improvement from last year. Standard Honda Sensing Honda’s suite of advanced active safety features is standard across all trim levels. Features such as adaptive cruise control that works at all speeds, forward collision warning, and lane-keeping assist are all included. It should be noted that Honda Sensing is also surprisingly available for manual-equipped cars. The only omission for those cars? The low-speed-follow functionality for the adaptive cruise control is not available for the manual-equipped cars. Gas Mileage The 1.5-liter engine delivers 30 mpg city, 38 mpg highway, and 33 mpg combined when paired to a CVT. Expected fuel economy figures for the 2.0-liter engine are 22 mpg city and 33 mpg highway, which is not too far off from last year’s V6, which got 21 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. Pricing The 2018 Honda Accord is available in LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring trims. With the 1.5T, pricing starts at $24,445 for the LX with CVT, $26,655 for the Sport (a CVT is a no-cost option), $28,345 for the EX CVT, $30,845 for the EX-L CVT, and finally, $34,675 for the top Touring trim with the CVT. For the uplevel engine, pricing starts at $31,185 for either the manual or 10-speed auto. The EX-L comes in at $32,845 (navigation adds $1,000), and finally the Touring with the 10-speed auto costs $36,675. (Destination is included in all pricing.) Ventilated Front Seats Standard on the 2.0T Touring trim (the top trim level) are ventilated front seats, which are a first for the Accord model. Heated front and rear seats remain standard for this trim level also. Brand New Infotainment System Newly introduced are 7.0-inch (standard) and 8.0-inch (optional) touchscreens for the infotainment interface. Volume and tuning knobs complete the package and in addition, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard all trim levels minus the base LX trim. The software for the interface is modified from a version used in the newly released Odyssey and is responsive and user-friendly. ALSO SEE: 2018 Honda Accord Review 2018 Honda Accord 0-60 Times Zero-to-60 mph times for the 1.5T LX, Sport, EX, and EX-L with the CVT land in at 7.6 seconds. The 2.0T Sport with the six-speed manual comes in at 6.2 seconds, while the 2.0T Touring with the 10-speed auto gets to 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds. Increased Rear Legroom An extra 2.5 inches of rear seat space has been gifted to the Accord for 2018 and it is mostly thanks to a 111.4-inch wheelbase, which is longer by 2.1 inches compared to last year’s model. Advanced In-car Technology A near-field communication interface lets you connect to your Bluetooth-enabled phone in seconds. Also, a first for Honda, a head-up display is standard on the 2.0 Touring trim and comes with traffic signs recognition technology. Other available features include blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, cross traffic monitoring, driver awareness monitor, adaptive damping, automatic tilt-down side mirrors for reversing, mobile hotspot capability, wireless phone charging, and more. How Our Honda CR-V LX Performed in a Road Trip to Mexico
Road trips aren’t an official, regimented test protocol around here, but they’re a great way to evaluate a vehicle. That we all love them is a happy coincidence. So when your friend wants to celebrate her birthday in Mexico’s Valle de Guadalupe wine region, you don’t fly and rent a car, you grab a car from the office and hit the road, and what better car than our 2018 SUV of the Year winner, the 2018 Honda CR-V?
Automakers like to send us fully loaded versions of their cars so we can test every bell and whistle, but we know most people don’t buy those pricey models. When we requested our second CR-V long-termer (after a CR-V Touring AWD), we specifically asked for a low-trim, front- drive LX model to see if the base model holds up as well as the fancy version. Our CR-V LX was in for a hell of a test, transporting five people and their luggage more than 200 miles, across an international border to a rural region where paved roads aren’t always guaranteed.
The first part of the test is simple: can the CR-V hold five adults and their luggage with room for everyone to sit comfortably on a four-hour drive? You bet. With 39.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats (or 37.6 cubic feet on Touring), we didn’t even need to remove the pull-out cargo cover, a bonus when we parked it for lunch. Only an inch less legroom in the front than the rear meant the rear seat passengers were comfortable even sitting three across, and the base stereo’s Bluetooth audio function was all we needed for entertainment thanks to carefully curated birthday playlists.
Everyone fits, but how does the car handle it? The Honda feels sluggish, especially going up hills, but it doesn’t complain much. The optional turbocharged engine is great, but the standard naturally aspirated 2.4-liter four-cylinder in our LX makes enough power to keep up with the Joneses, even weighed down. Honda’s CVT remains among the best on the market and makes the most of ever horsepower and pound-foot the engine can muster, even if it makes the engine drone loudly under load.
The suspension didn’t mind all the passengers and cargo on the highway, but the real test would be at our destination. Although the highways and the roads in town are paved, most of the roads in the Valle’s countryside aren’t. The CR-V’s compliance let us cruise down dusty dirt roads, through bumps and holes and over washboards without rattling our teeth out.
The dirt roads provided a second challenge, as some of the ones around our Airbnb were quite steep. Because our front-drive CR-V was loaded-down and on street tires, I had my concerns about getting traction, particularly from a stop. While the tires did skip and slip in looser patches, the CR-V was never in danger of getting stuck or not making it up a hill.
After a few days bouncing around in the dirt and enjoying wine far better than its modest price, we turned north and headed back for the border, where the only thing that needs building are more lanes at the checkpoints. We were more thankful than ever for the CR-V’s spacious cabin and comfortable seats as we sat in the 4.5-hour line (which, I’m told, isn’t that bad) to hand the agent our passports and be told to have a nice night.
Sure, fancy features like adaptive cruise control with lane centering, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic high beams would’ve all been handy on the four-hour drive in the dark back to Los Angeles, but the CR-V got us through thick and thin just fine without them. More than anything, though, it reassured me we made the right choice when we gave this thing the Golden Calipers.

グレード名は「TOURING・Honda SENSING(ツーリング・ホンダ センシング)」を名乗ります。

Honda 2019 CR-V Redesign, Release Date And Price
Honda 2019 CR-V Redesign, Release Date And Price
Honda 2019 CR-V Redesign, Release Date And Price – It is presumed that almost no changes could be created to the Honda 2019 CR-V, Honda’s 2nd-most widely used vehicle; since the current model of the vehicle has now been through a serious and considerable update just a couple of many years during the season 2019.
As a result, enormous changes are truly and many probably out of question and out…

2018 Honda CR-V Now on Sale with Slight Price Increase
[See image gallery at www.autoguide.com] The 2018 Honda CR-V is now available at dealerships nationwide in the U.S. and is priced from $25,090 including destination. The 2017 model year CR-V introduced a new generation for the crossover, so it’s little surprise the 2018 model carries over unchanged. It does, however, get a small price bump of $105 over last year’s model. The base CR-V 2.4 LX comes with 2WD standard and returns 26 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway for a 28-mpg combined rating thanks to a 2.4-liter i-VTEC engine with 184 horsepower. 2018 Honda CR-V LX Review: Still a Good Compact SUV After 18,000 Miles?
We’ve got a long history with the current-generation CR-V. We drove a loaded CR-V Touring AWD for a year after it came out at the end of 2016, and we later named it our 2018 SUV of the Year. And after being crowned with our top award, we got another long-term CR-V to evaluate for 12 months—except this time we chose the base LX FWD model. We’re coming to the end of our loan with the base 2018 Honda CR-V LX, and there’s plenty of things we like—from its 2.4-liter engine to its spacious cabin. We’re really going to miss this one.
Sure, the base CR-V is the least equipped model, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a cheap car. The plastics around the cabin are soft and feel nice. Although the steering wheel lacks any kind of leather, the soft plastic gives it a superior feel. The same goes for the door panels and dashboard. And in those places where you’re expected to rest your arm or elbow, decent cushioning will make your limbs comfortable. We also found that the seats are pretty comfy during long road trips, making the CR-V LX a great chariot to take on the road.

But whereas the plastics and materials don’t feel cheap, the technology could be improved. The tiny 5.0-inch color screen could use an upgrade to incorporate a better, more modern infotainment system, and these days we need more than one USB port. Competitors including the Mazda CX-5 offer a 7.0-inch screen and two USB ports as standard, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard in the Hyundai Tucson, which is also more affordable than the CR-V. The Toyota RAV4—the CR-V’s main competitor—comes with Apple CarPlay as standard. I understand these upgrades are found in the next higher EX trim, but in today’s world these amenities should come at no added cost.
Speaking of standard features, I dig the rear-seat air vents, capless fuel tank, and electronic parking brake. These are things we used to only see in top trims, but they’ve recently made their way down to base trims. Another good feature is the standard four-speaker audio system, which sounds crisp and strong whether you’re playing your music through Bluetooth or the sole USB port. And having automatic air conditioning on a base car is always a convenience, offering more control of the temperature in the cabin.
After more than a year with the CR-V LX, its versatility really stands out. With a cavernous cargo area and second-row seats that fold flat from either the back or the second row, it’s easy to fit in large objects. I often hauled my 8-foot surfboard, and it was painless to load into the cabin. The cargo floor also has two different heights; just choose the lower setting for a bit more spaciousness. It’s those well-thought-out details that make a difference in the CR-V. When he chauffeurs his family, visual assets manager Brian Vance misses his long-term CR-V Touring for both its cargo space and ease of getting his kids in and out of their car seats.
Although the 2.4-liter naturally aspirated engine is old, it still pulls hard. With 184 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque, the CR-V LX doesn’t feel underpowered. Step on the gas, and you’ll feel a decent push—whether you’re pulling away from a stoplight or merging onto the freeway. The CVT is very well mated to the engine, though it can be loud at times, and not in a good way. The powertrain feels refined and well suited for the CR-V, whether you’re hauling two people or the whole family.
Despite being more than two years old, the CR-V’s styling still looks modern. I like that a few details on the LX make it look a bit more premium, such as the LED daytime running lights and 17-inch alloy wheels. It would be nice to see the door handles, mirror caps, and spoiler with body color instead of the black plastic, which makes it look low-cost. I also would have appreciated tinted windows; without them, I felt like I had no privacy at all (other trims get rear privacy glass). When I drove at night, the lights from 18-wheelers would cause a strong reflection from the rearview mirror, which also made me miss the tinted windows. Other than that, the rest of the exterior package is pretty good.
Over about 18,000 miles, we spent $286.32 in three service visits. All services were done at the dealership and consisted of three oil and filter changes and tire rotations, and one brake inspection and cleaning. Compared with other long-term compact SUVs we’ve had, the CR-V LX was generally cheap to maintain. Our 2017 Kia Sportage EX cost $223.41 over the course of three service visits and more than 21,000 miles, but we spent $341.96 on our 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander (three service visits, 26,871 miles) and $340.57 on our 2017 Mazda CX-5 (four service visits, 28,307 miles). Our 2017 Hyundai Tucson Limited cost $389.88 in three service visits over the course of 22,096 miles.
We’re going to miss the Honda CR-V LX. For around $25,000, it’s one of the best SUVs you can get today.
