i was having a chuckle to myself last night about Gristol, and how his plans are basically:
Restore Ford Cruller's memory
Find Maligula
???
Profit
but then... of course they are, right? this is Gristol we're talking about. Fatherland Follies drives home again and again that he's still operating on a child's logic, a warped and reductive version of the world that he never bothered to grow out of. both of his memory vaults center on the images of his childhood, this idealized version of the past that he clings to no matter what. and that's still how he remembers Maligula, too - as this saviour figure, who rushes in to help him when he's in trouble.
[ID: Two slides from Gristol's memory vault, Glory to Grulovia! Left: Gristol clings to Maligula's back as she summons waves to sweep away his assailants. Right: Gristol and Maligula waving from a balcony as the people cheer. Gzar Theodore brandishes a dagger in the background.]
like so much else, Maligula represents a return to this idyllic childhood - to the peace and simplicity of his youth, when he was free from worries and responsibilities. in his mind, he doesn't need to make any further plans - once Maligula's back, everything will go back to normal. Maligula will make everything better.
...is what i thought, but then i remembered this line:
[Screenshot source. ID: Gristol, in Truman's body, bows on his hands and knees in front of the newly-awaked Maligula. The caption reads: "Yes, High Priestess! I am here to correct the mistakes made by my father!"]
and that's kind of interesting, right?
to be clear: this happens directly after Maligula sees Helmut-in-Gristol's-body, and recognises him. her line before this is:
"Little Gzesaravich! Have you come to pay for your father's sins?"
my first thought was that Gristol hadn't expected to still be in Truman's body by the time he managed to find Maligula, and this was him trying to placate her and buy some time until he could explain the situation. but watching the cutscene back, that's clearly not what's happening here. Gristol is answering as himself, and his response of throwing himself to his knees before her is, as far as i can tell, genuine.
so what is going on here?
in Fatherland Follies, there's this line in the ride narration that stuck out to me:
"Why didn't the Gzar help Maligula in her time of need? No one knows, but historians agree - it is Gzar Theodore's biggest failure."
other lines mention Gzar Theodore's "mistake", and it's wording Gristol himself echoes in the screencap above. evidently, he believes that his father abandoned Maligula, leaving her to her fate at the hands of the Psychonauts, and it was that mistake that lead to them being driven out of the country - that mistake which he seeks to correct. maybe he even feels like he has a debt to repay to her for his family turning their backs on her all those years ago.
the 'High Priestess' thing, though - that's kinda weird, and threw me for a loop the first time i played the game. it took me until my second playthrough to connect the dots, and remember how the room in the Lady Luctopus - Gristol's room - was full of Delugionist scribblings and symbols.
[Screenshot source. ID: left, the walls of the hidden backroom in Gristol's hotel suite, covered in scrawlings of eyeballs and Maligula's name. Right, the pinboard from the hidden backroom. On its surface are photographs and newspaper clippings connected by pieces of string.]
i mean, look at this stuff! he had a whole conspiracy board and everything!
we learn very little about the Delugionists and their beliefs as a whole during the game, but i think drawing the connection here suggests two important things. one: that Gristol was in deep with this stuff. i don't know how he linked up with them - maybe via old family connections, or just good old-fashioned digging (we know he's skilled at worming his way into peoples' good graces, after all) - but it seems likely that he's begun to internalise their ideas, maybe even warping his own memories of events. and two: the Delugionists themselves are, if you'll pardon the pun, pretty far off the deep end.
like... i understand why PN2 didn't go heavy on the "mass-murderer cult worship" aspect of things, in the end, but man this is such a tantalising glimpse into the wider mythos around Maligula. Gristol is proud and haughty and thinks himself above everyone else; the fact that his first reaction seeing Maligula is to throw himself to the ground at her feet says so much about the way he's come to see her. he's not just trying to bring back Maligula, his childhood bodyguard. he's trying to bring back Maligula, the High Priestess of the deluge, the semi-mythical figure whose supporters believe even death couldn't stop. he doesn't even flinch at the way she confronts him, and maybe it's because he's bought in so completely to this deified figurehead, this idea of Maligula; more a living force of nature than a person. and it all comes back to the same place: an abdication of responsibility, not just to the person who protected him when he was little but to this avatar of floods and destruction. Maligula will make everything better.
i'd write more about my thoughts on the Delugionists but that'd be taking a hard turn into speculation, and this is already kind of long and rambling so i'd better end it here. but what an unexpected and evocative line, right? it's some of the only stuff we have to go off of regarding the Delugionists as a whole, but i think it does such a good job of hinting at the wider story - at teasing another layer to the mythos surrounding Maligula, one whose ripples we see throughout the game but which never quite breaches the surface.
#psychonauts#psychonauts 2#bored waiting at the airport so you get more psychonauts meta from me#the delugionists have been on my mind recently (because i Might Just have an upcoming au lorepost about them and also cults are fun)#so tossing my thoughts up here because people seemed to like the last few times i did this#and also it's my blog and i like to talk :)#related vent i HATE drafting posts in the tumblr editor because if you hit crtl+z to try and undo a formatting change#it deletes like half the post you just typed out#(yes i did it again while i was writing this. yes i'm still salty. why do i even bother)#what else... this is just becoming a disconnected thoughts dump#but if you've seen my posts you knew what you were signing up for when you hit the button to expand the post tags#there's new art coming hopefully this weekend if i can get it finished! it's more mermaid au designs#i'm two and a half weeks late for mermay but it turns out starting a new job and moving house doesn't leave you with a ton of free time#but that's okay it's never too late for mermaids#omg and artfight's coming up next month too! geez#i gotta make refsheets for the fsau trio because i would LOVE to get art of them#and this year i don't have a thesis to crunch on so i might actually have time to participate#oh and then in august i'm having top surgery! will make a proper announcement post for it at some point#i say 'announcement'. it's just a life update but it's nice to share#i'm super excited about it :)#i might end up blogging the process and recovery but obviously it won't be going here lol. i'd put it on my main#idk if anyone would find it useful but when i first started looking into surgery i had like very little idea about the whole process#and it's only through joining a bunch of online support/discussion groups that i managed to find more info and resources#so hey it might be useful to share? we'll see#our flight doesn't land for another fifty minutes so now i'm just writing in the tags because i'm bored#alright i'll proofread this and then post it when i land and have signal again. peace out yall hope your pride month is going well

THEY DIDNâT TEXT much throughout the day, because she knows how busy heâs been at work lately. Instead, she follows the same routine she recently fell into: she wakes up next to him, they have a quick breakfast together, then watches the door Lando rushes out every morning for a good half hour, contemplating. After that, she occupies the rest of the day with her own work, or curled up with a book on the couch, waiting for the same damn door to open.
The moment she hears the familiar jingle of keys, she looks up with the same excitement as yesterday, and the day before, and the day beforeâŠ
Lando steps inside, looking exhausted. His curls are a mess from the cap heâs been wearing all day, his shoulders slumped with exhaustion, and there are faint shadows beneath his eyes, evidence of a long day at the MTC.
He barely manages a tired smile when he sees her, âHey, pretty,â says Lando, dropping his bag by the door before trudging towards her.
She gets up, arms already outstretched in anticipation. Heâs almost melting into her embrace, burying his face in the crook of her neck, breathing her scent in. For some reason, his deep sigh gives away more than words ever could, and she catches it instantly.
âRough day?â the girl asks, rubbing soothing circles into his back. His muscles are tensed, yet soft under her palm.
Lando groans in response, tightening his hold on her. âYou have no idea,â he exhales, relieved that heâs finally home.
âOh, baby. I think I do,â she teases, pulling back to look at him, âYou smell like grease and exhaustion.â
He chuckles, eyes twinkling despite his fatigue. âThat bad?â
She scrunches her nose dramatically, âMhm. Go shower, stinky. Iâll wait for you in bed.â
Lando doesnât argue. He presses a quick kiss to her temple before shuffling toward the bathroom, stripping his hoodie off along the way. She watches him disappear behind the door, then heads to the bedroom, where she starts fluffing his pillows and making sure his side of the bed is just the way he likes it: neat sheets, a warm blanket, and her, not-so-patiently waiting for him on her side.
By the time Lando steps out of the shower, towel slung low around his hips, he looks slightly more alive. His damp curls cling to his forehead, and heâs rubbing a hand through them as he walks toward the bed.
âYouâre an angel, you know that?â he asks with a wide smile on his face, noticing her efforts to make his night a bit easier.
Lando grabs the towel from around his waist, using it to dry his curls, completely unbothered by his own nakedness. She follows his big frame as he crosses the room, mesmerized, while the muscles in his back shift with each movement; in moments like this, she percieves Lando as a man thatâs so effortlessly graceful. Thereâs something almost god-like about him, she thinks, like a sculpture carved by the hands of an artist obsessed with perfection: the sharp lines of his shoulders, the defined curve of his spine and, most distracting of all, the firm shape of his ass.
Her teeth sink into her bottom lip as he reaches for a fresh pair of boxers, blissfully unaware of the effect he has on her, pulling them up over his hips in one smooth motion.
Then, he simply slips beneath the blanket with a sigh. âGot the weekend for ourselves, but at what cost?â he chuckles, âIâm so tired, I swear I could sleep through an earthquake,â Lando yawns, stretching out before shooting her a lazy grin. âYou could even blow me in the morning, I wonât be moved, baby! Dead asleep for the next couple of days.â
She scoffs, rolling her eyes.
Wanna bet?
âOh, nice,â she ends up saying, trying her best not to sound offended.
âJust saying,â he smiles mischievously, already halfway to dreamland.
The girl shakes her head, humming at his words, but doesnât contradict him. Instead, she shifts closer once he flips on his stomach, and starts running her nails lightly up and down his back, the way she knows he loves. At that, Landoâs body relaxes almost immediately, a soft sigh of contentment slipping past his lips.
Patiently, she starts drawing lazy patterns over his skin, listening intently as his breathing slows. And suddenly, seeing him falling asleep while she gently scratches his back, she realizes that all the waiting during the day is worth it, as long as Lando will always return to their bed at the end of it.
With a small smile on her face, she watches as his long fingers loosen their grip around the pillow, and the crease between his eyebrows fades.
And, despite his earlier comment, she makes a tiny mental note to prove him wrong in the morning.
THE FIRST THING she notices when she wakes up is how hot she is.
Landoâs entire weight presses against her body, his arm draped over her waist, and his face buried in the crook of her neck. He always sleeps like this, clinging to her even in unconsciousness, as if he canât stand the thought of being deprived of her touch for one second. His breath is steady against the skin of her neck, while his curls are tickling her shoulder.
She sighs softly, shifting just enough to glance at the clock on the nightstand â itâs almost noon, and as much as she wants to stay like this and let Lando sleep in, cocooned in his arms, her bladder has other plans. So, carefully, she attempts to get out of his embrace, prying his arm from around her waist inch by inch.
Lando grumbles in protest, fingers flexing against her hip, but he doesnât wake up that easily.
When she finally manages to slip out of bed, she tiptoes toward the bathroom, casting one last glance at him over her shoulder: still dead asleep, sprawled out now, his curls a mess against the pillow. Thatâs when she remembers his words from the night before, and her lips curl into a knowing smirk.
After she returns, she finds Lando on his back, the sheets tangled between his legs, one arm resting above his head to block the only ray of light that, ironically, landed on his face. She crosses the bedroom to pull the curtains all the way, and the room immediately floods in a semi-dark filter.
Then silently, she slides back into bed, her hands ghosting over his skin as she untangles the sheets. He looks painfully beautiful in the morning, the warmth radiating from his body seeping into her fingertips. She takes her time, letting her touch linger as she traces absentminded patterns over his stomach.
Lando shifts slightly, but his breathing remains even, somehow encouraging her hand to move lower.
The fabric of his boxers is soft beneath her fingers, but what catches her attention is the heat beneath it, and the hardening shape of his cock as she palms him gently. At that, a slow exhale leaves Landoâs lips, his hips tilting just slightly, but he gets sucked back into his sleep like it never happened.
She continues her cautious movements, fingertips pressing more firmly, drawing lazy strokes through the fabric. His body is responding instinctively, his cock hardening beneath her touch with each passing second. The faintest hitch in his breath makes something curl low in her stomach, and her pulse quickens as she slips her hand beneath the waistband, feeling the smooth, hot skin against her palm.
Lando stirs, a muted noise escaping through his lips, but his body is still heavy next to her.
She bites her lip to stop a whimper coming out, watching him closely as she runs her thumb along the tip, feeling the slick warmth there. A shiver rolls through him, Landoâs hips shifting again, just a little bit, as if seeking more of her touch.
Without even realizing, her mouth goes dry, her own breath unsteady now. Her cheeks burn as she looks at him, laid out beneath her. Heâs thick and heavy in her hand, the heat of him searing against her palm. She strokes him slowly, teasingly, scanning the way his body reacts even without full consciousness.
The memory of his taste lingers on her tongue before sheâs even taken him in â warm, heady, Lando. The anticipation is making her head spin as she pumps him once, twice, three times, feeling the way he throbs while wrapped around her hand.
With one goal in mind, she leans in, letting her lips brush against his hip, just barely, teasing herself as much as him. And then, with intent, she replaces her hand with her mouth â inviting and wet and ready to take him in without hesitation. Her lips are parting around his length, and the first thing that strikes her is the way he pulses against her tongue, the skin velvet-smooth over the rigid firmness beneath. The faint taste of salt lingers, a mix of him and the remnants of her teasing, making her stomach tighten with want.
She moves meticulously at first, savoring the weight of him, and the stretch of her lips as she takes him deeper. Then, without meaning to, a soft moan escapes her, vibrating around him; the sound surprises her, but not as much as the way Lando reacts at the sensation, a deep, unconscious whine slipping from his parted lips. It makes her smirk against his skin, but she doesnât rush the process. This is about proving a point, about making him regret the words he so carelessly tossed at her the night before.
Her tongue moves with purpose now, swirling over the sensitive skin as she works him up with rhythmic strokes of her hand. She canât take him all the way in her mouth, but that doesnât mean she wonât try to ruin him in every other way.
When he throbs against her tongue again, thatâs her sign to start sucking, her lips sealing around his cock as her tongue swirls over the sensitive ridge beneath his tip. The slick sounds that follow, a mix of her spit and his pre-cum, are animated by her breath thatâs both shallow and eager.
She pulls him out with a wet pop, licking around the head, teasing the slit before dragging her tongue from base to tip, savoring every inch of him. Then she takes him in again, deeper this time, her pace steady, determined to draw out every last reaction from him.
And luckily, a soft sound escapes Landoâs lips â a barely-there whimper, the kind that makes her thighs press together instinctively. He stirs, his hand moving as if to find her, but when his fingers meet the empty pillow on her side instead of her warm body, he shifts, confused. His lashes flutter, brows furrowing just as he blinks himself into consciousness.
Then it hits him.
The wet heat of her mouth.
The torturous rhythm of her tongue.
The way her fingers work in tandem, stroking him with just enough pressure to have his breath catching in his throat.
She should stop now that she managed to wake him up. Nothing would be more satisfying then hearing him begging for release, first thing in the morning. But then, Lando inhales sharply, and exhales deeply with a throaty sound, as his head falls back against his pillow. Seeing what she does to him is better then hear him beg at the moment, so she continues with her movements, as dedicated as ever.
âFuck,â Landoâs voice is hoarse, sleep-rough and so wrecked already.
She peeks up at him, making sure heâs watching when she takes him deeper, then she makes sure to keep eye contact as she presses her tongue insistently against the sensitive slit at his tip.
Landoâs reaction is instant: a sharp moan, hips twitching involuntarily while his hand finds her hair. His fingers tighten, not pushing, just holding, desperately needing to anchor himself to reality since sheâs pulling him under so effortlessly.
âShit, baby,â he breathes, eyes dark and hooded as he looks down at her.
She smirks with his cock in her mouth, the curve of her lips sinful as she bats her lashes, feigning innocence. Lando lets out a strangled laugh, but it quickly dissolves into another moan when she presses her tongue more firmly against his swollen tip, sucking just a little harder.
He is panting now, his grip in her hair tightening just as his hips lift slightly, torn between wanting to let her have her way and the desperate urge to fuck her mouth.
âYouâreâfuck, youâre divine,â he praises, âSo fucking pretty with my cock in your mouth.â
She hums as his thighs twitch beneath her, his chest rising and falling in shaky breaths. She can feel how close he is, his muscles tensing, his grip on her hair turning almost desperate. But just when heâs teetering on the edge, she pulls away with yet another obscene little pop.
Lando whines, his head snapping to glare at her, but she only grins, sliding up to lie beside him. Her hand never stops, though, her fingers still wrapped around his cock, stroking at an infuriatingly agonizing pace.
âStill think youâd sleep through it?â she teases, eyes sparkling with mischief.
Lando groans, hips shifting restlessly beneath her touch. âYouâre evil.â
She chuckles, pressing a kiss to his jaw as her hand picks up speed. âAnd?â
âI love it.â
A couple more strokes, a slight twist of her wrist, and Lando comes with a shuddering moan, his release spilling hot all over his lower stomach. His entire body tenses beneath her before melting back into the mattress, so sweetly spent. Heâs beautiful like this â flushed and panting, his curls falling against his forehead.
Lando lets out another shaky breath, chest still heaving, before cracking an exhausted, blissed-out smile. âI never questioned your ability to blow me, you know. I talk trash when Iâm tied, but this is the first time Iâm glad I did.â
She smiles, leaning in to kiss him, the gesture so natural. By the time she pulls away, he looks utterly wrecked.
âYeah, yeah,â she says against his lips, smug and entirely pleased with herself.
Lando huffs out a breathless laugh, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her closer. She tries to move, but before she can so much as shift, Landoâs arms tighten around her. With effortless strength, he pulls her back into his embrace, rolling her until sheâs straddling his waist.
âNot so fast,â he says, his voice still thick with sleep, lips brushing against her jaw.
The sudden change in positions makes her gasp, her thighs pressing instinctively around him. His hands settle at her waist, warm and firm, holding her like she belongs nowhere else but on top of him. She can feel him beneath her, so warm and solid, the remnants of his pleasure sticky against the soft fabric of her panties.
The realization makes heat raising up her neck and cheeks.
Lando notices, and his half-lidded gaze flickers up to meet hers, dark amusement glinting in his tired yet satisfied eyes. âYeah?â he hums, tilting his head back against the pillow. He guides her hips just slightly, his grip lazy but intentional, watching the way she shivers at the sensation. âFeels good, doesnât it?â
She doesnât answer, but the way she bites her lower lip gives it away.
One of his hands slides beneath her shirt, fingers tracing the soft skin of her thigh before hooking around the edge of her panties. He tugs them aside so easily, and the moment the cool air meets her sensitive skin, she lets out a sharp breath.
âWell,â Landoâs voice is barely louder than a sleepy mumble now, raspy and dripping with satisfaction. âLetâs see what can I do for you, baby.â
His fingers tease over her clit, featherlight at first, enough to make her body jolt at the sensitivity. Then, with slow precision, he brings his hand to his stomach and gathers the remnants of his release on his fingertips, using it to spread it over her as he traces slow, torturous circles against her entrance. The sensation makes her body melt, a soft whimper slipping past her lips as her hips rock instinctively into his touch.
Lando groans at the reaction, his own breath stuttering slightly. âSo eager, arenât you?â he asks, letting his fingers slip further, dipping between her folds, feeling just how ready she already is to take whatever he has to offer.
The girl gasps, nails digging into his shoulders as her body clenches around nothing when he pulls his finger out, craving much more. Lando grins lazily beneath her, rubbing agonizing circles over her most sensitive spot before pressing two fingers inside this time, the stretch both delicious and teasing.
She shudders, her thighs twitching as she tries to close them, but he doesnât let her. Landoâs free hand grips her hip, keeping her open just enough for him to keep teasing.
âBet I can make you come just from this, hm? What do you say?â
Heâs not even trying, and she knows he can do it. Heâs done it before, and they both remember exactly how wrecked she was when he did. So, she doesnât hate the thought and, as she tilts her head slightly, her lips are curling into a smug little smirk.
âBet?â she asks, knowing sheâll win, no matter the outcome.

False Alarms .ïœĄ*ïŸïŸ
Summary: When Joel notices youâve been skipping meals, looking tired, and avoiding your usual morning hot chocolate, his mind jumps to the worst-case scenario: pregnancy. What starts as concern quickly spirals into a tense argument that cuts deeper than either of you expected.
joel miller x f!reader
(part 2)
WARNINGS: Angst, age gap, arguing, miscommunication, references to past trauma, hurt/no comfort, mention of pregnancy (false), language.
You hadnât thought much of it when you skipped breakfast three days in a row.
Jackson was colder than usual this week. Some mornings, the thought of dragging yourself to the mess hall before your shift with Maria felt like too much. That, and youâd been feeling nauseous. Not sickâjust⊠off. A tightness in your chest, a queasiness in your gut. You figured it was stress. Youâd been helping with patrol coordination and dealing with Mariaâs endless to-do lists. Thatâd be enough to knock anyone off balance.
But Joel noticed.
He always noticed.
âYou eat today?â he asked as you slipped off your coat in the cozy warmth of the house.
You shrugged. âNot really hungry.â
Joel didnât say anything. Not right away. He never jumped to conclusions. But he was quieter than usual that night. Thoughtful. His gaze kept flickering to youâwatchful, almost guarded. The kind of stare that made your skin itch.
By day five, he was no longer quiet. He was suspicious.
And angry.
âWe need to talk,â Joel said that night, arms crossed, jaw tense. The fire crackled behind him, but the room felt cold.
You looked up from the couch, half-curled under a blanket. âOkay... what about?â
His eyes locked with yours. There was something behind themâfear? Panic? Disbelief? Maybe all three. But Joel wore anger like armor. He didnât do vulnerability unless he was desperate.
âYou late?â
You blinked. âWhat?â
He gestured vaguely. âYour... your period. You late?â
The room spun for a second.
You sat up straighter, your heart starting to pound. âWhat the fuck, Joel?â
âJust answer the question.â
âWhy the hell would you even ask me that?â
Joel didnât flinch. âYou been sick. Avoidinâ food. Tired all the time. You havenât touched a cup of hot chocolate in a week, and you love hot chocolate. Somethinâs off.â
âIâm tired because Iâve been running around Jackson like a damn mule,â you snapped. âAnd maybe Iâm not hungry because Iâm stressed, not pregnant.â
His expression didnât soften.
âYou sure?â
That made something in your chest crack.
You shot up from the couch. âWow. Okay. So what, you think Iâd just get pregnant and not tell you?â
âI think maybe you donât even know, and that scares the hell outta me.â
âScares you?â
His words stopped you cold.
âIâm twenty-five, Joel,â you said quietly. âNot sixteen. Iâm not stupid.â
âYou think this is about your age?â
âWhat else would it be about?â you bit. âYou think I canât handle the idea of a baby? Or is it that you canât?â
Joel rubbed his face. âFuck! Thatâs not what Iââ
âYouâre not saying it, but youâre thinking it,â you cut in. âYou think Iâm reckless. That Iâm some dumb kid who let something slip. Is that what I am to you?â
Joelâs hands were fists at his sides. âThatâs not what I think.â
âThen why the interrogation?â
âBecause Iâve been through this before, dammit!â
The silence that followed was deafening.
You stared at him, blinking fast.
He didnât yell often. But when he didâit cracked something open. A ghost from the past.
Joel turned away, staring into the fire, breathing hard.
âIâve had things taken from me,â he said lowly. âThings I never got back. I canâtâ I canât go through that again. Not without knowinâ. Not without beinâ prepared.â
You didnât move.
âSo you think if I was pregnant, itâd be something to brace for?â you asked, quieter now. âA disaster waiting to happen?â
Joel didnât answer.
âRight,â you whispered. âOkay.â
You grabbed your coat.
âWhere you goinâ?â
âWalk,â you said flatly. âI need some air.â
Joel took a step toward you. âYou donât have toââ
âIâm not pregnant,â you snapped, hand on the doorknob. âBut thanks for showing me exactly how youâd react if I ever was.â
The door slammed behind you.
Joel remained standing in the middle of the room, thinking about the mistake he had made by letting his fears speak louder.

The Little Things Mean A Lot
Pairing: Quinn Hughes x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Reader is a little emotional but this is just fluffy and super soppy.
Summary: Sometimes it's the small things that make you fall in love all over again, like your favourite Singapore chowmein from your favourite Chinese takeaway after a long day of teaching and parent's evening.
Notes: I have 2 parents evenings this half-term and a late open evening thing and I really hate the late evenings, and they're always on a middle of the week day where you have to get up and teach the next day while exhausted đŽ
Totally happy to take requests/ideas/prompts at the moment in my ask box :)
Writing Masterlist
Teaching has always been a love-hate profession for you. You enjoy it, of course you do, but it's a lot of work and stress on the best of days and it's only made harder whenever you have a late evening like tonight. 'Parent consultation evening' also known as parent-teacher conference, parent's evening or the night that teacher's dread because they can't leave school until 8pm and just want to go home after teaching all day.
They're not terrible, you have to admit as you finish your last appointment at 8.01 pm. Parents are general complimentary to you and a lot of the issues you have with kids get sorted out simply by talking to their parents and getting the chance to show them their work or lack of. It helps that since Covid your appointments are online, so parents can't go over their time slot. But, you'd been out of the apartment since 6am and taught a full day of lessons, plus teaching your club and then you spent the last 3 hours talking non-stop to parents. So, yes, they weren't terrible, but you were exhausted and really ready to go home and fall into bed. You were ready to see Quinn or at least curl up next to him under the duvet.
Even collecting all your things together and putting on your coat felt like a chore. You tried to do it quickly, your work laptop shoved into your backpack without care, your water bottle, now empty, collected and your lanyard thrown into the bottom of your bag where you'd likely complain that you couldn't find it tomorrow.
The corridor is empty, dark as you make your way to the front doors of the school, passing a few other classrooms still with their lights on as the last remaining teachers finish their evening off. You wave at a few of your colleagues who catch your eye through their doors, but don't stop, determined to get away as quickly as possible. It's always a little eerie leaving school when it's dark out and barely anyone is around, like something out of a horror movie.
You slip your phone out of your pocket dialling Quinn on instinct, it barely rings before he answers.
"Hey, baby." His voice not even a little bit groggy, telling you that he's stayed up for you again and hasn't had a nap. No matter how many times you tell him he can go to sleep if he wants, he always stays up until you're home and have eaten. Even if he's had a long day.
"Hey..." You practically sigh out, tiredness infecting your tone, "I'm just walking to my car now, should be back at the apartment in 20 minutes if the traffic isn't too bad." The car park is practically pitch black and you're thankful for Quinn's voice on the other end of the line and the fact your car isn't too far from the doors.
"Okay, baby, drive safe, yeah? It's been icy, so don't rush." Quinn would know, he'd woken up way too early that morning, before even you, to scrape the ice off your car and make sure you didn't have to do it yourself. It had been a little thing that morning that had made your day easier but also made you love him just a little more. He knew how much you hated being even 10 minutes later to work than you normally were, your routine being put off would mess your day up, so he didn't mind keeping it on track for you. Even if it changed his routine in the process.
Your car is freezing when you get in, rushing to turn it on and get the heating going, practically shaking in your big coat and scarf, "I know, I promise I won't rush. I love you." You put your seatbelt on, turning the headlights on as you think about how glad you're going to be when you open the apartment door to Quinn.
"I love you too. See you soon." His voice is soft and it's hard to do but you say your goodbyes and hang up the call, setting your music to play and making sure you have everything with you before you set off.
The drive is uneventful thankfully, no real traffic and no real issues other than the hungry rumbling of your stomach and the tired blinking of your eyes. You've never been more thankful for the lack of traffic than when you pull into the apartment parking lot and into your designated space.
There's a moment, after you put your car in park, where you simply turn your car off and close your eyes. Needing a moment to decompress and get your bearings even as you can feel yourself starting to nod off. This moment is interrupted by a startling knock on the window of your car door that has you jumping out of your skin, hand clasping your chest. You look, only to see Quinn, bundled up in a hoodie outside your door, hands in his pockets, looking sheepish at having scared you.
You shake your head at him through the window, but let him open your car door for you. You don't protest when he walks around to the passenger side and grabs your work bag for you and you say very little, just melt into his side when he wraps his arm around you to usher you to the door of your apartment building.
You let him practically support your body weight on the way up to the apartment, feeling for the first time that you can relax. It's silly really, how easy it is to shut off around Quinn, barely looking where you're going because you know he'll steer you in the right direction, knowing he won't let you walk face first into a wall.
When Quinn finishes unlocking the front door, the first thing you notice is how warm the apartment is like he's put the heating on especially for you. You were always cold while he always claimed he was fine.
You toe your shoes off at the door, turning to watch as Quinn is much more careful with your work bag than you would be, placing it down by the front door and kicking off his shoes. His hair is at that gorgeous length where when he turns to look at you it practically flips like Prince Charming.
"Go take a shower, baby, I've already made your lunch for tomorrow and I'll sort dinner while you get comfy." It shouldn't make you feel like crying or get emotional but it does because he knows how much you hate making your lunch for work when it's late and he knows how tired you are after a parent's evening. He knows that if it's not made it'll put off your whole morning routine and he knows that that'll ruin your entire Friday. It just reminds you how much he does for you without fussing about it or expecting praise. How well he knows you.
You can't help but wrap your arms around his hoodie swamped frame, pressing your face into his chest for a few moments as you squeeze him as tight as you can, breathing in his cologne, and just enjoying being close to him for the first time in hours.
When you finally look up at him, you rest your chin on his chest, eyes soft as they meet his green ones, "I love you, what would I do without you?"
"You'd be fine, you know it." Yeah, you would. You'd make your own lunch and find your own dinner and scrape ice off your car by yourself, but you'd just be fine...you wouldn't be happy, you wouldn't be thriving. You squeeze him a little tighter around the waist, Quinn's own arms wrapping around you snuggly.
"Then why do it for me?" You ask the question even though you know the answer, because you want to hear him say it, because you love to hear him say it.
"Just because you can do this stuff doesn't mean you have to, I love you...so I want to make your life easier..."
You practically grin up at him, his answer the usual one, one you've heard time and time again but that you love every single time. "I love you too, baby." You reach up to press a kiss to his chin, lips moving across to his cheek, any available skin coming under assault.
He laughs loud, head reeling back to escape you, "Okay, okay! That's enough, you need to go shower! Go!" Quinn pulls out of your arms, struggling to free himself and when he finally does he sends a playful slap to your arse that has you laughing as you leave him, even tired, you can't help but feel slightly rejuvenated in Quinn's presence, like he gives you an energy boost.
You try not to take too long, cutting your shower short out of exhaustion and hunger before throwing on your most comfortable t-shirt and short combo. Your hair is wet, still dripping when you come back out to the kitchen area, the smell of Chinese food hitting you and forcing a grumbling gurgle from your stomach.
"Hungry?" Quinn laughs, looking up from where he's plating up the food. Quinn used to be the sort of guy who ordered one dish from the Chinese takeaway and had the entire thing, but you came from a household of purchasing many items and putting a bit of each on your plate. Mix and match. He'd adapted well to it and become the expert plate maker. Secretly, or not so secretly, he enjoyed making your plate for you, providing you with food even if it was just Chinese takeout.
"Starving! You got my favourite?" You take a seat at the kitchen table, eyes eagerly watching the food in a way that has Quinn chuckling to himself even as he gives you an extra spring roll. One thing he loves about you is how normal you are about food, you don't hide how hungry you are or try to avoid food, even when he can't eat something because of his training and his career, you don't let that effect you or your appetite.
"Mmhmm, and I've given you most of the chowmein, since it's your favourite." He places the plate in front of you, a large pile of Singapore chowmein on your plate, significantly larger than the share on his own plate. Your entire plate dwarfs Quinn's, his desire to feed you seemingly impossible to quash. Maybe you should feel guilty, instead all you feel is such overwhelming love and affection for him to the point of tears welling in your eyes. Maybe its because you're tired, a long day teaching plus parent's evening finally taking its toll or maybe it's just how sweet Quinn is, how determined he is to make your life easier, to look after you, but either way you're especially emotional tonight over a Chinese takeaway.
"Thank you..."
Quinn stops before he even sits in his seat, leaving his plate across from yours at the emotion in your voice. Instead, he comes to stand next to your sitting form, letting you wrap your arms around his hips, your cheek pressing into his side while he runs a hand through your wet hair.
Quinn would say that you were naturally more emotional than him, not a cry baby per say, but with him? In the place you felt most comfortable? Then you were prone to tears, especially when he did something nice for you. It was an interesting thing about you, that you could deal with teenagers yelling at you, throwing things, swearing and being all around rude or parents harassing you, and not shed a single tear. But, the moment Quinn did something thoughtful you got choked up...although not usually over Chinese food. This was a new one.
"You're emotional tonight...you okay, baby?" You sniffle a little at his question, unsure why you're so emotional today of all days, other than possibly how tired you. Maybe your period is on the way? Or maybe it was just that time of year? Still, you can't help but lean into him deeper, clingy in your need to be close to him even as you try to sneak a bite of a spring roll, stomach still growling.
"I'm just tired and...and I love you so much....you're so good to me and you gave me almost all the chowmein." Quinn stifles a laugh at the way you say, all while sneaking food into your mouth, you're gripping him so tight he considers eating stood upright so you don't have to let go. He might not ever admit it, but he loves how clingy you are, how you always reach for him. He loves that he never doubts how much you want him.
"Oh, baby...you really need food and bed, huh?" His fingers run through your hair one last time, landing on the nape of your neck and resting there.
You nod your head and reluctantly let go of him so you can focus on your food. He watches you while the two of you eat, the slow blinks, the way your head lolls every now as if you might fall asleep at the table. He's happy though, happy you're eating, happy you're enjoying it, the way you gobble up your favourite bits and eat more than is probably comfortable. He's happy he can provide for you, look after you, especially given how much you give to your job.
Once you've both finish eating, you go to reach for his plate as if you're going to clean it for him, he pulls it away from you without hesitation, "Baby, I'll do it in the morning...you're too tired, let's just go to bed, yeah?"
You don't even put up a fight when he takes your plate from you or when he grips you by the shoulders, steering you towards the bedroom. There are no protests when he pulls back the covers and helps you ease into bed, the only protest you let out is when he tries to leave to lock up and turn all the lights off. But, you're placated by his soft voice telling you he'd be right back.
You're asleep by the time he's turned all the lights off and put the plates by the sink. Quinn can't really help it, the way he stops just off to the side to stare at you. The soft rise and fall of your breathing, the way you nuzzle deeper into your favourite pillow.
When he was younger Quinn was sure that he didn't want to be responsible for another person that wasn't his brothers, that he didn't want to look after someone else. The idea of loving someone seriously, of caring for them was too much. He'd been dead wrong, you weren't his responsibility and sure, you could look after yourself, but God, did he love doing it for you. He loved seeing you happy, content, well looked after. He loved knowing that even when you were exhausted from work, even when life threw you a curveball, he was there to make it easier, lighten the load. You made him feel needed, useful, in a way that was ten times more rewarding than being captain of the Canucks.
He loved that for all the things he did for you, you did just as much for him. The way you always put a towel in the dryer to warm when you knew he was coming back from practice. The fact you made sure to have his favourite cheat meal ready when he'd had a rough game or roadie. You might think he did more for you, than you did for him, but in reality it was pretty even. You both simply took care of one another.
He's as quiet as possible as he changes into just a pair of grey sweatpants, careful as he slides into bed besides you and gentle as he pulls you back into his arms. You stir slightly, but only enough to turn around and burying your head into his chest, leg wrapping over his hip. Still fast asleep even as you seek out his warmth.
Maybe when he was 19 he didn't want something like this, but now? Now he can't imagine anything better than spending his life doing the little things to make your life easier, to make sure you feel loved and respected even when teaching throws you a long day or a shitty parent or a ridiculous incident. He could do this for the next 70 years and never grow tired of it.

Lego Date gone Rouge

pairing: Paige Bueckers x Reader
word count: 829
warnings: none
synopsis: Paige plans a Lego night, but things quickly turn into a long make-out session instead, not that youâre complaining
°ââ.àłàż*:°ââ.àłàż*:°ââ.àłàż*:°ââ.àłàż*°ââ.àłàż*:
You donât even have to ask what Paigeâs plans are the second you open her front door and see the floor covered in plastic baggies, color-coded bowls, and one very serious instruction booklet.
âYou started without me?â you ask, eyebrows raised as you step over a pile of tiny grey bricks.
Sheâs already cross-legged on the rug, hoodie sleeves shoved up, hair in a lazy bun, and fully in the zone.
âYou were twenty minutes late.â
You glance at the microwave clock. âFive.â
âSame thing.â
You drop your bag on the couch and settle down next to her, scanning the madness. âYouâve been hyped about this build all week.â
âBecause itâs iconic,â she says without hesitation. âMillennium Falcon. Ultimate Collectorâs. Iâve wanted this one forever.â
You watch her fit two small pieces together with precision, fingers moving like sheâs done this a thousand times. And she hasâPaige Bueckers may be known for breaking ankles on the court, but off of it? Sheâs just as intense about her Lego collection. Hogwarts, the Home Alone house, even the Eiffel Tower last summerâshe built them all like her life depended on it.
You pick up a labeled bowl. âYou seriously sorted by color and size again?â
She finally looks at you, smug. âSystem works.â
You shake your head, grinning. âYouâre ridiculous.â
âYou say that like you didnât offer to help me finish the NASA shuttle at 2 a.m.â
âOkay, fair.â
You reach for a chunk of the base sheâs already built, careful not to knock anything over. âWhere are we at?â
âPage twenty-three. Weâre building out the left wing. Hand me the dark grey four-by-eight.â
You raise your eyebrows. âBossy.â
Paige smirks, grabbing the piece herself. âYouâre slow.â
You lean over to bump her shoulder. âIâm here, arenât I?â
She just hums in response, lips curving as her leg presses against yours. âGood.â
You work in comfortable silence for a while, fingers brushing occasionally as you both snap pieces into place. The low hum of music drifts through the apartment, mixing with the sound of plastic clicks and soft sighs of focus.
Then Paige leans across you to grab something, and her hair falls into your face. She doesnât notice, too busy squinting at the instructions, but you donât move either.
You just watch her.
Watch the furrow in her brow, the gentle crease in her nose when sheâs thinking. The way her hands move. The way sheâs fully here, even when itâs just Legos on a Saturday.
She turns back to you with a piece in her hand. âHold thisâwait. Stop looking at me like thatâ She says jokingly
You blink. âLike what?â
Paige tilts her head slightly, suspicious. âYouâve got that look.â
You smirk, tugging gently at her sleeve. âJust thinking.
She raises a brow. âDangerous.â
But she leans in anyway.
Close enough that your knees touch. Close enough that you can smell her shampoo, feel her breath on your cheek.
âYou gonna kiss me or keep pretending to look for pieces?â she murmurs, voice barely above the music.
You glance down at the Lego brick in her hand, then back at her lips. âYou really wanna start something now?â
Her smile turns lazy, eyes half-lidded. âWhat, you think I canât multitask?â
You donât answer.
You just kiss her.
The first kiss is soft. Familiar. The kind you both know too wellâthe kind that feels like pressing pause on the world.
But then her hand slips under your sweatshirt, warm against your back, and the pause turns into a slow, deep inhale. You shift, sliding into her lap without even thinking, your arms looping around her neck like itâs second nature.
She groans into your mouth, voice rough. âBeen thinkinâ about this all week.â
You tilt your forehead to hers, breath shallow. âAnd you still chose Legos?â
âI tried to behave,â she says, kissing along your jaw. âYou showed up late and pretty.â
You laugh softly, your hands tangling in her hair. âSo now itâs my fault?â
âAlways,â she whispers, before pulling you back in.
Time slips away like sand through your fingers.
You end up flat on the rug, half-covered by a fleece blanket she grabbed at some point. Her hoodie is somewhere on the couch. Youâre a tangle of limbs, flushed cheeks, and swollen lips, her hands steady on your hips as if anchoring you to the moment.
She murmurs things in between kisses, half-teasing, half-serious.
âShouldâve made this the date plan in the first place.â
âCould kiss you forever, baby.â
âDâyou think Han and Leia ever got interrupted by this much heat?â
You roll your eyes at that last one and pull back, breathless, with a half-laugh. âYou are such a nerd.â
Paige grins up at you, hair wild, skin warm. âYeah, but Iâm your nerd.â
You shake your head, letting your forehead fall against hers.
The Lego set is untouched, sitting there halfway built in the corner.
Neither of you even glances at it.

So I can't stop sharing this after realizing it myself earlier... After Rook tells Emmerich that they're a virgin, during their dinner date, and he clearly processes what is a VERY unexpected fact to him, he tells them that's okay, and you 2 can just take things slowly. :) It's sweet, right? But also... Emmrich... how fast did YOU wanna take things? Because now this man's got me convinced he was SO down bad for Rook, he wasn't gonna waste time NOT hitting it now that they're together. I'm unwell
Okay so I actually really appreciate how ambiguous they left Rook and Emmrich's sexual relationship until the coffin scene in the third act: they wrote it such that the player could headcanon that they had an intimate relationship already leading up to that scene OR it was the first time they slept together, and I think that's AMAZING.
I headcanon that my Rook (not a virgin) and Emmrich slept together for the first time the night of the dinner date, and I think that he planned the night not with the intention of seducing Rook, but with the mindset that if they were interested in moving forward with the sexual aspect of their relationship, the privacy of the Necropolis might be a bit more relaxing that the Lighthouse. It's clear that Emmrich has pulled some strings to have the gardens roped off just for the purpose of their romantic dinner, he goes above and beyond with the meal, they have a very sweet conversation about their feelings and attraction to each other, mention previous dates (or lack of), and the whole thing ends with a fade to black.
... and I'm a romantic degenerate who sighs and stares dreamily into space while twirling my hair at the thought of them making love for the first time on a bed of soft flowers in the garden, illuminated by veilfire as wisps float lazily through the air... but I digress:
Since Emmrich trusts that Rook isn't pursuing him from a place of "charming flattery" I think he takes their new relationship incredibly seriously, and part of that is acknowledging the sexual aspect of it. He strikes me very much an actions over words kind of person (hence the charming flattery remark), and given their circumstances and what they're up against, facing danger, violence and the possibility of death on a daily basis (especially daunting for him), I feel like Emmrich would be very motivated to explore that aspect of the relationship as soon as Rook was comfortable with it.
He's also older, more experienced (even if Rook isn't a virgin), and gives off the vibe that he's extremely comfortable with sex and intimacy based on the banter he has with Davrin. I think he views physical intimacy as yet another way to express his feelings for Rook and show them how much they mean to him. This man isn't sure if they're going to see tomorrow, let alone next week: he's only got so much time to make sure that Rook knows how treasured they are, so that's going to include romantic dates, deep conversations, surprising them with thoughtful gifts, and making love as often as they can get away with it. Regardless of what comes next, he doesn't want Rook to doubt for a second how much they mean to him, but he puts the choice about sex squarely in their hands and will let them ultimately be the one who makes the call as to when they're ready to explore that.
Once their relationship begins, he appears to court Rook quite ardently, with enough enthusiasm that Harding takes notice and points out that he's been mopey and distracted lately, and goes so far as to suggest that perhaps he and Rook are taking things a little fast. Even he's aware that this is moving at quite a pace, and he's clearly worried about how other people will/might perceive that given their respective ages - he probably thinks that people think he's a dirty creepy old man: a besotted fool, but I don't think he could approach Rook any other way even if he tried.
There are no half measures with this man: once he's in, he is IN. He's not fucking playing: this isn't just a casual fling that he expects to end once this evanuris business is over. It's probably why he comes off as a bit guarded and hesitant to engage with Rook's earlier flirtations: he probably puts this amount of care, vulnerability, and passionate authenticity into ALL his romantic relationships, and has probably been hurt in the past because of it.
Anyway, this has become suuuuuper unnecessarily lengthy, but I have so many feelings about this man, and I am indeed unwell too.

Can we get the rottmnt boys (separate) being proposed to by S/o? (They say yes) S/o was acting distant for a while, working late, but was really getting them a ring to fit their huge fingers lol
Ooo this is sorta creative
ROTTMNT MARRIED TO THEIR S/O BUT THEIR S/O STARTS ACTING DISTANT
Swearing, no pronouns used, not proofread, flufffff
Let's get into it yar
LEO
Leo is a very over dramatic jump to conclusions type bf so the mere SECOND your distant for 12 hours he will think you hate him.
Now let's go back a bit. Back when you and Leo first started dating you were going through a rough patch and Leo always knew how to cheer you up in your darkest days. He always gave you the attention you though you didn't deserve and he lifted your spirit as a person. You felt forever indebted to him the way he treats you like his princess. And you've loved him ever since.
With Leo your life got fixed and it felt way more better and freeing (minus the acasional kidnapping from a villian but that's like every 2 weeks now). You has more energy and you genuinely felt happier with Leo as your boyfriend. Therefore you decided after a year or more you wanted to officially tie the note. With Leo.
Never thought I'd see that day coming
But you were nervous. I mean Leo is the type to not even be bound to labels and what if he feels like marriage isn't meant for him?? I mean it's a big step of commitment and no offense on him but the only thing he ever committed on in like (or than your relationship) was the tela Novela he has been watching since he was a baby.
But you pushed aside your doubts and decided to go for it. However due to him being a turtle mutant obviously it would be hard to find a ring that will fit or a jewelry shop that won't question. So you started skipping you hangouts with him on the account of your searching far and wide.
Leo was DISTRAUGHT! I mean the love of his life, his soul, his trust, his sun and his vida had betrayed him by canceling on him MORE THAN ONCE! I mean just say you hate him.
So one day, when you had finally gotten the ring but decided to wait till you had a plan on how you were gonna ask him, he decided he would confront you.
So you when to visit him and his brothers and went into his room only to be greeted by a pointed finger.
"YOU!"
"...me?"
"Do you hate me or something!?"
"Leon what the hell are you talking about."
"Your cheating on me! Who is it huh!? HUH!?"
"No??"
"Oh you must of fallen out of love with me!?-"
"Babe get to the point please."
"You have been neglecting me. Running off to go do whatever and blowing me off!! And not to mention you have been typing non stop on your laptop when I'm over for your stupid 'research project' WELL I DONT BUY IT WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF!?"
"Leo..oh my dear Leon I can't tell you."
"Then I don't know why are we doing this."
"...are you crying? Oh my gosh babe no it's okay-"
"YOU DONT CARE ABOUT MEE"
I could continue but let's be honest it will go on for half an hour so let's just skip this hit because Leo has always been suck a drama queen.
"Okay can you step back a bit"
"What will that do-"
"JUST. do it please."
He steps back as you take a breath before kneeling down on one knee. Leo is utterly confused by now. Then you pull out a beautiful ring and suddenly he is dreaming cause there is no way your doing this right?
"Leon you have brought sunshine to my darkest days and you've stayed when I felt my world had left me. You sat by my side and made sure that even when I thought it was impossible you made me feel joy. There is no better person that I would love asking this to. Leonardo Hamato will you marry me?"
"Are you actually doing this is this actually happening!?"
"It's very real babe."
"Oh my gosh fuck yes!! I'd love to marry you!!!!"
After a very very tight hug and a tender kiss you two laugh at how stupid Leo had been. He couldn't believe that you actually asked him to marry you before he could mostly. But in the end he was just glad you hadn't actually cheated on him.
DONNIE
This is Dontron we are talking about HOW can you possibly keep a secret from him at all. He can hack into anything including your search history or track your phone to see where you go if it's really really important. HOW could you possibly pull this off? Easy. Ask a friend in a sound proof room with no electronics in it.
So you had done just that. Your friend being the kind and generous soul they were decided to help you. So every So often they would come back to you will research they had gathered on rings and sizes and stuff. And you almost got busted one time by him.
"Why were you measuring me in the middle of the night during out sleep over last Tuesday? Specially at 3:45."
"I had a hubba Bubba gum string and wanted to see how many I can wrap around you to make you a giant bubble gum mummy."
"You know you could have just asked me to calculate that instead of just doing it at 3am?"
"Whats the fun in that?"
Not only did you lie out your ass but you made it damn good realistic ish. And he believed it. Mostly because he was half playing a game on his phone but you still managed to get past the Donnie lie detectors.
But ofcourse since he is a mutant with strange hands it was getting harder and harder to find a ring for him. So you had to meet up with your friend more than preferred. And enough that Donnie notices.
First thing he does? Detective research. He searches at where you go to and finds out You've been going your friends house alot more than normal. Especially since you two only ever talk in your friends sound proof studio room. So he can't hear shit because his sound proof breaker had been borrowed and broken by Leo the other week so he was left up to his genius imagination.
So once you got the ring you visited him very veery happy because you wanted to get the lies out of the way immediately knowing Donnie would find out in a matter of time.
"Heyyy Dontron."
"Greetings my not so lovely s/o"
"What do you mean 'not-so-lovely'"
"You don't think I know your hiding something from me?"
Oh your fucked. Your screwed.
"Okay Donnie before you gon on your normal tangent I have something for you that will explain everything!"
"SIGH. Go on.."
You cleared your through and got down and one knee and pushed forward the ring you had bought for him.
"I know your not one for big boring speeches and I also know you like to cut to the chase of things so I'm just gonna say it. Donetello Hamato will you Marry me?"
"Okay."
"YIPPEEEE"
RAPH
You see raph is clueless when it comes to things so hiding a secret proposal from him was pretty easy. You know what wasn't easy? Finding a fitting ring for his big mutated turtle finger. It was HARD. Anything that was close to the side was sold out for inappropriate use. And the rest were WAY out of your price range so you were running a bit low on chance.
So you decided on one however you had no money for it so he took the initiative to bust your ass till you finally got enough for it. You worked day in and day out, taking longer shifts, you did some side gigs and did weekend jobs. You were working and working on the clock that you accidentally forgot your darling boyfriend Raph.
He had been noticing you had been not really cold but more exhausted and closed off. You seem to be tired and you barely ever have time for him which hurts alot if he's honest. Your always busy even in the late hours for work but he knows for a fact that you never work that late. So he began to get paranoid. Especially since he wanted to surprise you with something special he knew you would have liked.
So after weeks of miscommunication and work you finally had enough and more for the ring for Raph. So you decided to treat him to a rooftop picnic as an apology. He accepted it ofcourse and you two just sat on a random apartment building just star gazing and eating pizza. That's when you released his arm from your shoulder and stepped back making him look at you in confusion.
You step back and get on one knee bringing his ring from behind your back.
"Raph I have a very imp-"
"WAIT! Before you do there something you should know."
He shyly pulls out a gorgeous ring for you. Oh my god he was going to propose to you aswell.
"Oh raph...you shouldn't have."
"Uh Raph has been planing this for a while but everytime Raph gets a bit nervous."
"I'm sure you have nothing to worry about now because I guess we both accept. So Raph will you marry me?"
"Only if you would marry me"
"I do"
"I do too"
MIKEY
This poor baby boy is easy to hid things from. Like you could hid a rubber duck from him just by putting it on his head and he wouldn't know a thing. So when you decide to marry him because he had always been there for you. He was the reason you woke up every morning a trudged through the stinky sewer. It was all just to see him face lighten up with joy whenever he spotted you.
So you immediately thought of marrying him after 2 years of bliss. And so due to him kor being a human it took you quite a while. But due to his cluelessness you don't really try that hard to hide it. You just research when your in your house.
However it took you longer than you liked to find not only the perfect size but also the perfect design for your artist boyfriend. So you searched far and wider you took trains after trains to travel to different jewelry stores to find the perfect ring for Mikey because he deserves a proper ring.
However against your better judgement you had no choice but to put your focus on the ring rather than your Mikey. And although he might not be that good at catching onto things he would notice your not as close with him as you were. And it just made him sad that he thought his favorite person hated him.
So one day as you two finally get some alone time as he is painting a wall you decided now is the perfect chance to do it cause you hated lying to Mikey even if it was easy to get away with.
So as he had his back turned, you had gotten on one knee and held his ring out.
"You think that dot of red- OH MY GOSH!!"
"Michelangelo Hamato will you-"
"YES YES YES YES A MILLIONS TIMES YES!!!!"
"I didn't even-"
You were engulfed in a suffocating hug but honestly you didn't care as you hugged back your now fiancé.
Hope that was good and I realise know I accidentally skipped a req whoospie sorry diff req I'll do it eventually.
But I hope you enjoyed and don't be shy to request something from me and my diff fandoms. Just know that I will get to them when I can.
Stay healthy and stay safe!!!!

summary: in which the pleasure elicits a confession.
warning(s): car sex, jealousy, p eating, heated make-out, face riding, arguing, & love confessions.
pairing: paige bueckers x fem reader
It had been about two weeks since Paigeâs confession, leaving you puzzled. Since then, there had been no texts, no calls, not even a knock at your door with an explanation. Paige had left you high and dry, her silence taking over the spaces she used to fill with her presence.
Today was Azziâs birthday, a celebration you couldnât miss despite the predicament you were in with her best friend. The girls hadnât asked you about the night you stormed out of Paigeâs room half naked, but you knew that they all knew now and there was no covering it up. Paige mustâve gave them intelâ but it made you wonder what exactly she told them.
Despite this, you and Azzi had always shared a close bond, and you wouldnât let Paige ruin that. The plan for the evening was straightforward: a night out at the club, drinks with the team, and a few of Azziâs other friends. It promised to be a casual gathering, one where you could avoid an uncomfortable confrontation with Paige if you played your cards right.
Youâd already been at Azziâs dorm with Caroline, Aubrey, and Paige who had been keeping her distance from you since you arrived. After helping her pick out an outfit and adjusting her hair just the way she wanted it to be, the five of you all headed out and piled into Paigeâs car, Azzi in the front and you having to take the middle of the backseat because of your shorter figure.
Everyone stayed engrossed in conversation, yourself only throwing out small comments when it was needed. As the song changed, you immediately became familiar with the playlist Paige was playingâ the one you both shared for both intimate moments and late night drives. The voice of Drakeâs Heat of the Moment echoed through the car, causing you to dart your eyes up to the rear view mirror to get a good look at Paige, squinting your eyes a bit. You knew the game she was playing.
She must have felt your gaze because, right then and there, she looked up too. You could only see her eyes, but it was enough to read her expression. It wasnât cocky or teasing; it was filled with longing. There was meaning. Tearing your eyes away, you found yourself staring past Aubrey and out the dark window, as if you could really see anything. Your hands fidgeted in your lap as you waited impatiently to dart out of the car.
After a few moments, you seemed to have arrived at the club. Aubrey snapped her fingers twice, breaking you out of your daze and chuckling a little. âYou good?â she asked as everyone began unbuckling their seatbelts. You grinned at her, quickly glancing at the mirror where Paige was already looking at you. That brief eye contact made you revert your gaze back to the girl next to you.
âYeah, fine,â you assured her, though your mind was anything but settled.
It had been a long night. You werenât even sure of the time but youâd been about four drinks in alongside Azzi who had definitely had more than you, dancing sloppily with her teammates. It didnât matter to anyone though as long as the birthday girl was having the time of her life.
You hadnât seen Paige since you parted ways from the car, and you were prepared to keep it that way. Youâd previously been sitting with Jana and Ayanna at the bar before Jana announced she had to use the restroom. With your drunken state, you assured them that youâd be okay by yourself for a few minutes instead of walking through mounds of people while Ayanna accompanied her.
Twirling the straw around in the empty glass that had previously held your vodka soda, you looked around your surroundings innocently, trying to not make it seem like you were looking for anyone in particular. But you were. You were scanning the crowd, hoping to catch a glimpse of Paige, yet she remained elusive. The dim, pulsating lights of the club only added to your growing sense of frustration and confusion. Had she intentionally been avoiding you all night, or was it just a coincidence?
âLooking for someone?â an unfamiliar voice called from next to you. Your eyebrows furrowed as you slowly turned toward the stool beside you, raking your eyes up the body of a femaleâ a very attractive one at that. She chuckled, her curls bouncing with the motion. She bore a slight resemblance to Aubrey, or maybe it was just the alcohol making your perception a little off. Her presence was a welcome distraction, so you didnât mind it.
You smiled sheepishly, your fingers moving mindlessly around the straw. âWhy, you wanna buy me a drink?â you flirted. Maybe Paige was the best at flirting, but you dabbled in it.
âIâm not opposed to that,â she smirked at you before calling the bartender over and paying for your next drink. Her confidence was disarming, and you couldnât help but feed into it. It was certainly a way to win over a drunk girl. Here was someone who was clearly interested in you, a stark contrast to the ambiguity and distance Paige had left you with. You decided to lean into the moment, allowing yourself to be swept up in the flirtation, at least for now.
Eventually, the girl, Lena had pulled you onto the dance floor, her hand grasping yours warmly. The alcohol definitely loosened your limbs and blurred the edges of your thoughts as Lena stayed close, her own moves fluid, drawing you further into her orbit. You were living in the moment and all things Paige had seemed to be forgotten about.
You werenât sure how much time had slipped by. You lost count of the songs, your only focus being her presence. You werenât normally one to get so comfortable with someone so quickly, but Lena made it easy. The crowded dance floor felt like a cocoon, insulating you from any lingering thoughts.
But the spell was broken when you caught sight of a familiar face approaching through the throng of dancers. Paige was weaving her way toward you, her expression a storm of emotions that you couldnât quite pinpoint.
As she swooped in next to you, you were too shocked to move as she spoke, her hand wrapping possessively around your waist. âThere you are, baby,â she said loudly enough to be heard over the music, her voice edged with a sharpness that made Lenaâs eyebrows rise in surprise.
âExcuse me?â Lenaâs eyes flicked between you and Paige, confusion mingling. God, you felt bad, but you truly couldnât bring yourself to say anything despite Paige not being your girlfriend or this being her place. Only Paige could make you at loss for words in a situation like this. Only Paige would put you in a situation like this.
Paige didnât miss a beat. âI been looking for her all night.â she smiled cockily at Lena, who seemed to be just as perplexed as you were. âCome on, letâs get some air,â she urged, glancing down at you as you licked your lips in frustration. You could hear the fake joy in her voice. You barely had time to shoot an apologetic look at Lena before Paige was leading you through the crowd, yourself stumbling a bit as you barely made it.
Outside, the cool night air hit you like a splash of cold water, clearing some of the fog from your mind. You managed to wiggle out of Paigeâs grasp, shooting her a look that she found amusing as you both arrived in front of the car. Your figure trailing a little behind her. She turned around, crossing her arms and looking at you with a mix of anger and something else you couldnât quite place. Why was she upset?
âWhat the hell was that?â you demanded, your own temper flaring now that you were away from the noise and the crowd. âYou always do this shit and Iâm so fucking sick of it. You stopped caring about me a long time ago, Paige. Stop trying to remind me that you exist after every fuck up because you know Iâll fall into you every time.â You werenât thinking about what you said before you said itâ you didnât even let Paige get a word out as you watched her facial expression soften in front of you. The entire situation had sobered you up and you could feel a headache coming in.
Paige took a deep breath, her eyes still burning with jealousy. âI couldnât just stand there and watch you with her,â she admitted, her voice softer but no less intense. âIt drove me crazy.â
âYou avoided me the whole nightâ fuck, a whole two weeks! I think you can handle me trying to get in bed with a different girl.â You couldnât fathom why she could treat you so poorly but not want to see you with anyone else. It irked you knowing she just wanted to hang onto the piece of you that still cared for her on a deeper level than sex and use it to her advantage. It hurt you.
Paige scoffed, her eyes widening before her tongue began to swarm her mouth in amusement. âOh, thatâs what this is about? The sex?â
You shook your head, becoming annoyed with the conversation and ready to storm off. âYou donât get it. Youâre never gonna fucking get it.â
Paigeâs eyes darted from yours to behind you for a brief moment, making you whip your head around to see a group of people looking your way, concerned looks on their faces. You both recognized the loudness of the conversation, and Paige was quick to move it. She opened the passenger door from behind her, motioning for you to get in with her hands and eyes.
You stood there, unamused. âIâm not getting in the car with you, Paige,â you said simply, a chuckle following your words. You didnât want to because you knew being in such close proximity with her while trying to stand your ground and stay angry would not go well for you, especially with how good she looked tonight. But she always looked goodâ this was nothing new.
However, as you slowly met her eyes from just a few feet away, you ultimately knew just how over it was for you. âGet in the car, (y/n).â Her words were slow yet firm. You only stared at her with an unreadable expression for a few moments before you gave in with a roll of your eyes.
Paige walked around the car to the driverâs seat, twisting her keys around her fingers before opening the door and taking a seat. A silence fell between the two of you before you settled on breaking it, knowing too much of it would result in a certain type of tension. You stared at her, the nightâs confusion swirling inside you. âYou canât just pretend to be my girlfriend and drag me away like that, Paige. Itâs not fair.â
She looked down, her tough exterior cracking. âI know, Iâm sorry. I just⊠I needed to talk to you.â Her voice was softer now, making your anger waver. God, she made it so hard to stay mad.
The sincerity in her tone was enough to make you gold. âYouâve had two weeks to talk to me. Why now?â you asked, trying to keep your frustration in check.
Paige sighed, running a hand through her hair. âI was scared. After what I said, I didnât know how youâd react, and then I saw you with someone else tonight and⊠I realized I couldnât keep avoiding this. Avoiding you,â she explained.
What did that even mean? Paige hadnât gotten this open or raw with you since you stopped connecting on a friend level and you wondered where this conversation was leading. âSo what now?â you asked, your voice losing some of its edge.
She looked up, meeting your gaze with earnest eyes. âI miss you,â she said quietly. Youâd never seen her this vulnerable. She was always so composed, so sure of herself. The admission hung in the air, heavy with meaning.
Your heart ached at her words, a mix of longing and frustration battling within you. What did she miss, the sex or you? âI donât know what you want from me,â you shrugged. Donât give in.
âJusâ want you,â she said simply, her eyes searching yours. âIâve missed you so much. These past two weeks have been hell. Fuckâ the past six months.â She was referring to the amount of time sheâd shut you out for, and you were baffled that she had noticed. It wasnât just some dick move of hers done unpurposely because itâs just instinct for her, there was a reason. Donât give in.
The lick of her lips and the doe of her hooded eyes was enough to break down the last of your defenses. She studied the contemplation within you, glancing down at your bare leg before she slowly moved her hand to it. Itâs like you couldnât control the lean of your body. Paige hesitated for a moment, then closed the distance, her lips meeting yours in a desperate, needy kiss. It was like a dam breaking, all your pent up emotions pouring out in one moment.
You kissed her back, your hands finding their way to her hair, pulling her closer. Paige responded with equal fervor, her hands roaming your back and pulling on your clothes, holding you as if afraid you might disappear. The world outside the car faded away as if one nosey person couldnât just peek their head in and see two girls making out, but it was the least of your concerns.
The small space of the car seemed to shrink even more as the intensity of your kiss deepened. Without breaking the kiss, you shifted, moving over the center console to straddle Paigeâs lap in the driverâs seat. Her hands immediately went to your hips, gripping them tightly as if anchoring herself to you.
Your fingers threaded through her hair, tugging slightly, eliciting a soft moan from her that sent shivers down your spine. The sensation of being so close, feeling her heartbeat against yours, was overwhelming in the best possible way. Paigeâs hands roamed up your back and down to your thighs, squeezing them. If there was one thing this girl loved, it was your ass and thighs. She could never get enough of them.
You pulled back just enough to look into her eyes, both of you breathing heavily. Her lips were slightly parted, her eyes barely open as she looked up at you, her chest heaving with the same desire you felt. But there was also a hint of confusion as to why you pulled away. âPaige,â you whispered, your voice full of uncertainty and hunger. âI canât do this.â You were only breaking your own morals, and as much as you were feening for her right now, you knew you couldnât keep running laps with her around a never-ending track.
Paige shook her head, licking her lips. Her expression shifted from confusion to concern. âWhat do you mean?â she asked, her voice was desperate. âPlease donât say that,â her voice was low as she brought one hand up to cradle your face, you immediately leaning into her touch by instinct.
You took a deep breath, trying to steady your racing heart. âI canât keep going through this with you. I canât if itâs just going to end the same way every time.â
Her grip on your hips tightened, her eyes pleading. âIt wonât. I swear it wonât.â She paused, taking a deep breath as she searched for the right words. You only looked at her as you waited for what she was going to say, biting down on your bottom lip. âI meant it when I said I loved you.â The confession hung heavy in the air, the honesty causing goosebumps to raise to your arms.
You searched her eyes, looking for any sign of doubt or insincerity, but she was serious. âYou really mean it?â you asked, your voice barely more than a whisper. It sounded pathetic to ask, but you didnât care.
Paige nodded, her blue eyes never leaving yours. âIâve never been more sure of anything in my life than right now.â
Without another word, you leaned in once more, your lips carefully moving in sync as it quickly went from tender to passionate. Her fingers traced gentle patterns on your skin as if committing every contour to memory as you pressed closer, Paige pulling you in more if that were even possible. Your hands moved down her chest underneath her shirt painfully slow, your fingers dwindling over her abs. You wanted this stupid shirt off.
You shifted slightly, straddling her lap more securely, your legs on either side of her as you deepened the kiss. The feeling of her touch, the warmth of her body pressed against yours, and just knowing how she felt all made you feel more alive than you had in weeks. Her lips moved from your mouth to your jaw, trailing kisses down your neck, making you gasp softly.
âWanna make you feel good. Okay, baby?â Paige mumbled. You only nodded in response, eager for any type of friction as you moved against her. The only thing standing between more of it was the thin piece of fabric underneath your hoisted up red dress. You were sure you left a mark of your slick on Paigeâs cargos.
Pulling away, both of your breathing far from steady, Paige shifted her gaze to the side of her driver chair, reclining it back. Your mouth fell agape slightly as you realized what she wanted to do, and she only chuckled at youâ a smirk not leaving her face. She still sat up as she reached for the hem of her shirt, pulling it over her head and tossing it into the backseat with ease. Your eyes raked down her body. She then moved to lay back, yourself still in full view as you stayed sat against her in pure shock. Paige Bueckers wanted you to sit on her face in a club parking lot after confessing her love for you.
âTake those off and come up here, ma,â she urged you lowly, her eyes flickering to the bottom half of your body. One of her hands were behind her head and the other placed warmly on your upper thigh, her thumb stroking your skin way too slow as you became warmer by the second. Your breath hitched as you complied, obviously, moving your legs to one side so you could slip the fabric from under you and toss them to the passenger seat.
Paigeâs eyes darkened with desire as she watched you. Sheâd been wanting to do this all night. The moment your underwear left your body, she guided you to straddle her face, her hands gripping your thighs firmly as she pulled you closer. You hesitated for a brief moment, the vulnerability of the position causing a flutter of nerves. Youâd done this beforeâ I mean, the first few months were just full of figuring out each other and what you liked and disliked⊠but in this moment, it felt different. Like a new chapter.
Paige tapped your leg softly in reassurance as she looked up at you, realizing the way you were surveying the situation. âCome here,â she murmured. Everything that came out of her mouth was dripping with craving. She needed to taste you.
You settled over her, your thighs trembling slightly as you positioned yourself. The moment her mouth made contact with you, a gasp escaped your lips, your hands instinctively gripping the back of the seat for support. Paigeâs tongue moved with skill like always, her hands guiding your movements as she devoured you.
âPaige,â you moaned out, your voice breathy. âShit, that feels so good.â
Her grip on your thighs tightened, her fingers practically digging into your skin as she increased the intensity of the way her mouth moved. She mumbled something incoherent as you bucked against her slightly, lost in the feeling as you threw your head back.
The sensations were formidable, a mix of pleasure and intimacy that made your head spin. You could feel every flick and swirl of her tongue, every gentle bite and suck that sent waves of ecstasy through your body. Your breaths came in shallow pants, your moans filling the car.
Paige pulled back slightly, her breath warm against your skin as she murmured, âI wanna hear you say it.â
You shivered at the command, your mind clouded with pleasure and need. âSay what?â you managed to gasp, your voice trembling as you looked down at her, your legs on either side of her face. What a sight.
âI wanna hear you say you love me,â she said, her eyes locking onto yours with an intensity that made your heart race even faster than it had been.
You said it without having to think about it. âI love you, Paige, shit.â you whispered, your voice filled with emotion as she unexpectedly plunged into you. âSo much.â A satisfied smile played on her lips against your throbbing cunt as she resumed her actions. The pleasure intensified as if your words had given her a new determination, each maneuver driving you closer to the edge.
Your body responded to her words and actions, the heat building between you both becoming almost unbearable. You rocked your hips in sync with her movements, your breaths coming in ragged gasps, your moans growing louder. âPaige, Iâm so close,â you panted, squeezing your eyes shut so you could off a little longer.
âLook at me,â she demanded. Your eyes shot open, mouth falling open wider. âLet go for me, baby,â she encouraged, and that was all you needed. âWanna feel you.â
With a cry, you finally let go, the orgasm washing over you in waves that left you breathless and shaking. Paige didnât stop, her tongue continuing to tease and caress you through the aftershocks until you were too sensitive to take any more. You collapsed forward, your hands braced on the back of the seat as you tried to catch your breath. Paige gently guided you back to straddle her lap, her lips pressing soft kisses to your skin as you came down from your high, your head resting perfectly in the crook of her neck.
After pecking every inch of your face, she leaned in for one on your mouth before you mustered the strength to push her lips away, giggling. âEw, no!â you exclaimed.
Paige laughed along with you. âIâll take it then,â she shrugged, licking her lips and swarming her mouth with her tongue dramatically. After the banter, you gently rested your hand on Paigeâs chest as you both reveled in the moment. The fogged up windows had came in clutch so no one could see the aftermath of it all, but you pondered on the thought of anyone actually seeing the two of you in action.
âI love you too, by the way,â Paige mumbled. You looked up at her, smiling.
âYeah, you better.â

And now, a sad concept that I pondered with friends before and Iâm currently turning into a fic:
Darry hides spare cash on the rare occasions he finds it as a backup plan that way Soda and Pony arenât as caught off guard financially as he was if something happened to him like what happened to their parents because dude cannot stop thinking about how abrupt death can be
He doesnât tell anyone about it because 1) He doesnât want to freak out his brothers and 2) While he trusts his friends he also doesnât trust them enough to tell them about his makeshift life insurance
So one day Ponyboy goes to Darryâs closet to find some clothes that heâd ironed and he spots a beat up cookie tin that used to house their motherâs sewing kit and spare buttons. Out of curiosity he opens it to find it full of bills, mostly ones and fives, some crumpled up and some stacked and neatly folded in half.
At first Ponyboyâs just confused why Darry has money saved up when theyâre always stressing out about bills until it hits him: all of Darryâs vague threats that he makes when heâs angry about leaving them and starting a new life for himself arenât threats anymore. Heâs saving up money. He has a plan.
And Pony rightfully panics and out of desperation to keep his older brother there, pushes himself hard than he ever had before. He stresses to get better grades, keeps the house clean, and stays out of trouble as much as possible to try and convince Darry to reconsider and stay.
The gang can tell heâs slipping, though. He doesnât go out anymore and rarely hangs out with anyone. Heâs always either hunched over an essay or reading a textbook while folding the laundry. He doesnât see movies anymore. He barely cracks open a book that isnât for school.
Darry can tell somethingâs off, but he doesnât know how to broach the subject or ask whatâs going on. And the house is clean and Ponyboyâs doing well in school, so it canât be that bad, right?
Until one night Sodaâs got a late shift at the DX and Darry comes home late to the echo of crying in the kitchen, Ponyboy having finally snapped after spilling food on his nearly completed semester thesis after trying to make dinner and do his homework at the same time.
Darry finally canât take it anymore and has to sit Pony down and be like âYouâre pushing too hard, chill outâ
To which Ponyboy, still crying, finally crashes out with âNo âcause Iâll have to do this anyway when you leave us!â
And Darry panics because what the hell is his little brother talking about and Ponyboy finally mentions the cookie tin
Darry finally explains what the moneyâs for, and has to reiterate that heâs not going anywhere, and heâs not planning for them to need the money anytime soon, but he works a labor intensive job that comes with risks, and anything can happen
Once heâs eventually able to reassure and calm Ponyboy down, they have a heart-to-heart about how Darry really wants Ponyboy to be a kid. That heâs pushing too hard and he and Soda didnât even need to step up as young as Pony is trying to.
âI do really appreciate all the help around the house. But it ainât just on you, okay? We might have work, but you got school. We had some time to be reckless kids. You get your time too. Please just let us worry about it.â
Anyway they cook dinner together after and Darry gives him money to go see a new movie since heâd missed so many heâd secretly wanted to see during it all
Cut to a week later and Darryâs explaining the newly developed âCurtis Family Chore Chartâ to the gang, to guarantee Ponyboy doesnât try to do everything by himself again

CHAPTER 10 : SMAU
Brazil was beautiful.Â
The sky burned in soft blue over white sand and palm trees. The house his friends had rented was like something out of a commercial â open-air, sleek pool, view over the ocean, warm breeze even at night. Every room was already taken, suitcases unpacked, sunglasses thrown carelessly on tables.Â
Lando arrived late in the afternoon, exhausted from the flight, shoulders aching, eyes bloodshot from lack of sleep.Â
Not just from travel.Â
From thinking.Â
He stepped into the villa, greeted instantly by the sounds of voices, music, and the scent of grilled food. Someone was already mixing drinks in the kitchen. Flip-flops scuffed the tile floors. And as soon as he walked inâÂ
âLandooo!â Max shouted, arms thrown open. âFinally. Took you long enough.âÂ
Pietra appeared next, grinning. âWe were about to leave you behind. Again.âÂ
Charles and Alexandra lifted their drinks in a lazy toast from the lounge chairs by the pool. Carlos was sprawled out near the deck with Rebecca, both mid-laughter over something Lando couldnât hear. Pierre waved from the kitchen, Kika already dancing barefoot with a speaker tucked under her arm.Â
It was like walking into a summer postcard.Â
Normally, he wouldâve loved it.Â
He wouldâve dropped his bag, grabbed a beer, thrown on music, jumped in the pool fully clothed just to make everyone laugh. But todayâÂ
He felt like he was walking through someone elseâs story.Â
And he didnât belong in it.Â
He gave a half-smile, did his best to fake the energy, let everyone pull him into a group hug that smelled of sunscreen and sun-warmed cotton.Â
But everyone noticed, he wasnât fine.Â
An hour later, after greetings were exchanged and drinks handed out, Lando found himself sitting on a low wall near the edge of the deck, staring out at the ocean.Â
Pietra approached without a sound, then sat beside him.Â
âYou okay?â she asked gently.Â
He hesitated.Â
She nudged him. âIs it because of the ballerina?âÂ
He looked over at her, eyes tired. âAri.âÂ
Pietra blinked. âYou call her that now?âÂ
âShe said I could.âÂ
Pietra studied him for a long moment. âYou miss her.âÂ
He didnât answer.Â
Behind them, the others were still laughing, shouting about something dumb Pierre had done on the flight. They were loud. Happy. Together. Â
Lando looked down at his hands.Â
âI didnât think it would feel like this,â he said quietly.Â
Max appeared next, holding two beers. He handed one to Lando, took one look at his friend, and frowned. âYou look like someone just crashed your car.âÂ
âItâs not,â Pietra said. âItâs the ballerina.âÂ
Carlos blinked. âWait. What ballerina?âÂ
Rebecca and Alexandra, overhearing from the patio, perked up. âThere was a ballerina?âÂ
Lando groaned. âCan we not do this?âÂ
Pietra grinned. âOh no, you donât get to sulk and keep secrets. Spill.âÂ
Lando exhaled. Looked out at the water.Â
And started talking. He told them everything.Â
By the time he was done, the sun had dipped lower, and no one was smiling anymore.Â
âShe sounds⊠specialâ Alexandra began.Â
âShe was,â Lando said quietly. âIs.âÂ
Max leaned forward. âSo why the hell did you come?âÂ
âI had to,â Lando said. âIt was booked. Everyone expected me. Itâs for 2 weeks. Itâs nothing.âÂ
Pietra gave him a look. âIt doesnât sound like nothing.âÂ
He looked down.Â
âI thought maybe itâd be easier,â he admitted. âTo leave now. Before it got deeper. Before the goodbye got worse.âÂ
Rebecca crossed her arms. âYou already sound like someone who didnât want to say goodbye.âÂ
âI didnât.âÂ
âSo why not say something?â Max asked. âYou couldâve asked her. To be with you. To wait. To try.âÂ
Landoâs voice was hollow. âBecause what if she said no?âÂ
That silenced them all.Â
He looked up at them, eyes raw.Â
âI didnât know what we were. We didnât label anything. I didnât ask her to be my girlfriend. And I wanted to. God, I almost did. But I kept thinkingâwhat if this was just a moment? Just a beautiful accident?âÂ
He rubbed his hands together.Â
âSheâs going back to Paris. I go back to Monaco. Her life is studios and stages. Mine is planes and paddocks. We had a few weeks. Maybe thatâs all it was ever supposed to be.âÂ
The group was quiet again.Â
Then Pietra said softly, âAnd maybe youâre just scared it couldâve been more.âÂ
That hit like a punch. He didnât respond.Â
Just reached for the beer he hadnât touched and finally took a sip, eyes fixed on the horizon.Â
The night went on. The others drifted back into their noise, their dance, their joy.Â
But Lando stayed on the wall, staring into the dark waves.Â
The sound of her voice still echoed in his mind.Â
He could still feel her hands on him, still remember the way sheâd said, Youâre more than that.Â
But tonight, he wasnât sure what he was anymore.Â
All he knew was that the seat beside him was empty.Â
And that her absence made everything else feel just a little too loud.

No clear signs of a new girl on this trip â but the speculation is louder than ever.

Ariana: hey. sorry if this is weird. just wanted to ask something.
Lando: not weird. ask anything.
Ariana: i saw some things online. comments under my last post. people saying stuff about you. about⊠someone else. i know itâs stupid. but i justâ i needed to ask. is there someone else?
âŠtyping
Lando: Ari. no. god, no. thereâs no one. there hasnât been anyone. you donât have to ask that. i hate that people made you feel like you do.
Ariana: i didnât want to believe it. but itâs been quiet between us. since you left. it felt like⊠like maybe you were done.
Lando: iâm not done. i could never be done. the truth is, i didnât know how to talk to you. leaving felt wrong and weird and too final, and i hated it but i didnât know how to say that without sounding needy or selfish
Ariana: it didnât sound selfish. it sounded like goodbye. and i think⊠maybe thatâs what hurt the most.
Lando: iâm sorry. i thought space would be kinder than clinging. i thought you needed focus. your last two shows. the closing of a chapter. i didnât want to distract you. but it looks like i made things worse instead
Ariana: you didnât mean to. i know that. iâm just⊠tired. itâs been a lot. pressures from the company, the final choreography, the stress, the hours⊠i havenât really been sleeping.
Lando: wait, what do you mean? how long havenât you been sleeping?
Ariana: itâs not serious. just the usual pre-show spiral. the perfectionism. the rehearsals. the what-ifs.
Lando: Ari. you canât burn yourself out. not for this.
Ariana: i have to. itâs what i do.
Lando: i hate that answer.
Ariana: i know. but itâs honest.
Lando: can i help somehow? anything? do you want me to come back?
Ariana: no. you shouldnât.
Lando: why not?
Ariana: because itâs your break. you havenât had real time off in months. you should rest. be with your friends. live a little.
Lando: how can i rest knowing youâre not okay?
Ariana: iâll be okay. itâs just⊠hard. i think i didnât realise how much it would hurt to have you gone. and now i donât even know when weâll see each other again. and i hate not knowing.
Lando: me too. i miss you. so much.
Ariana: i miss you too. but you deserve to enjoy this part of your life too. without worrying about the girl who stayed behind.
Lando: you're not just the girl who stayed behind. you're the girl Iâm waiting for. no matter how far, how long it gets. that hasnât changed.

Lando: i miss you too but iâm not gonna pretend this doesnât worry me you canât keep running on empty like this
Ariana: i just want it to be perfect itâs my last show here i want them to remember me for the right reasons
Lando: they already will youâre unforgettable, Ari not because you run yourself into the ground but because you make everything you do feel like art
Ariana: stop that made me emotional and sleepy but mostly emotional
Lando: good now drink water brush your teeth and sleep i swear if i have to hire a ninja to break into your place and force melatonin into your tea, i will
Ariana: terrifying and oddly sweet okay going now promise
Lando: good youâre doing amazing and iâm so proud of you
Ariana: you always say the right thing
Lando: if youâre not asleep in the next 20 minutes iâm setting another alarm and calling you in a terrible french accent until you hang up
Ariana: ...sleeping now goodnight, Lando
Lando: bonne nuit, ballerine đ dream something soft

an idea if u do decide to take rqs: foods enha would cook/bake u as their significant other
but u can always delete this :P
ahhh i love cute lil domestic prompts like this oneee,,,sorry it took me a while to get to this anon! here are lil blurbs of meals enha would cook for you hehe (only the hyung line though because i have insane writer's block rn) here's a lil something something before the next part of the no doubt series!
& side note: to all u fine line enthusiasts, the heeseung one is for you ;)
THE BOYFRIEND CHEF DIARIES â hyung line â.áÂ
HEESEUNG doesn't know how to cook until after midnight. until it's quiet, the both of you probably half asleep, curled up on the couch and watching some rom-com that you forced him to watch with you (but he definitely still cried). until your stomach growls at the end of the movie and he slowly turns to you and gives you the look. you sigh. "hee, it's late, let's just go to beâ" "baby, are you ready for gourmet?" yup, he's a lost cause. he disappears into the kitchen for a solid ten minutes and when he comes out, messy hair, wide grin and allâthere in his hands: instant spicy ramyeon. he proudly places it on the coffee table in front of you before sprinting back into the kitchen and running back with the finishing touch: a slice of cheese. "amazing. beautiful. a masterpiece," he whispers to himself. you roll your eyes at your dramatic boyfriend. you regret buying him the pack of ramen to stock up at home. "okay, open up," he holds the bowl up under your chin with the chopsticks dangling in front of you, his eyes watching you intently. and when you finish, at the expense of your own tastebuds dying from spice, he runs back into the kitchen and makes you cool down with, of course, a single box ofâcoffee milk.
JAY only exists to spoil you. that's it. that's his sole purpose on this earth. so when you say you're hungry? oh, he's not cooking you a meal, no. he writes a cookbook for you. buried somewhere in one of the shelves of your shared kitchenâhe has a notebook. a sacred notebook where he's literally documented the recipe to every meal you've ever likedâwhether homemade, or meals from restaurants that he would attempt to recreate for you when it's too late at night for him to order in for you. so when you mutter you're hungryâhe gasps and runs to grab it. "okay baby, what are we feeling tonight?" he's flipping through the pages like a man possessed. "do you want the stew from that place we went to last week? we should have all the ingredients. i'll sub the radish with potato." flip. "oh! what about the grilled chicken from our trip last year? i think i perfected the sauce, trust me." flip. "wait. no. no noâthis is it. i'll make your favorite steaâ" "jay." he freezes. his hand is mid-page-turn. you raise an eyebrow, amused at your endearing psychopath of a boyfriend. "i just wanted a snack." jay grins. "perfect. i'll start the grill, you grab the steak." sigh.
JAKE tries to surprise you with pancakes. not in a sweet breakfast-in-bed, 'good morning, my love' kind of way. no. he wakes you up at 2:43AM because he got hungry and missed you. "jake," you mumble, eyes still closed. "i've been here. the whole time." "i know," he whispers dramatically, already half-laying across your body, "but i still missed you." "...we're literally touching." "doesn't count. you have to be awake," he sighs, before releasing a storm of desperate kisses all over your face. "please, please, please come to the kitchen or i will cry. from starvation. and love." and so here you areâsitting on the counter, legs dangling, watching this menace of your boyfriend mix banana milk into his pancake batter, claiming he saw it once on tiktok and now must try it. a couple minutesâand a few stolen kisses from the counter laterâand they're slightly undercooked. and shaped like questionable blobs in his attempt to make them heart-shaped. and he calls them 'jake-cakes.' but he tops it off with some strawberries and whipped cream and mumbles something about presentation being overrated anyways. then he places the plate beside you with a grin, slipping between your legs and feeding you a bite like it's a wedding cake moment. you chew slowly. it's raw. he looks at you like you hung the stars. so you smile anyways. it's the thought that counts.
SUNGHOON has never touched a kitchen utensil in his entire life. but it's late at night, and you're craving pasta. pasta. so, one frantic google search on how to boil water and one very questionable hour laterâ"wait," you smack your lips together, chewing the noodles he proudly presented in front of you as if he was a master chef himself. "it's...really good, hoon." his eyes go wide. "REALLY?" you nod, fighting back a smile. "yeah, seriously. i'm impressed." he blinks. "like, good good? or good-for-a-guy-who-thought-the-spatula-was-a-back-scratcher good?" you giggle. "good good, babe. i like it, good job." he throws his head back and pumps the air like a cartoon character. "I AM HIM!" he runs a victory lap around the kitchen and crashes right into you, wrapping his arms tight around your waist and lifting you up like you're his trophy for cooking one (1) decent meal. pasta sauce gets everywhere in processâbut you're laughing, sweet and loud, all while sunghoon's thinking one thing: thank god he found that jar of pasta sauce in back of the pantry.
this is actually just pure crack, i apologize heh

Hiii!! Love your work!! I have had this thought of pregnant!reader with the 141 boys or Simon (love them all but Simon is who I marry first đđ«Ł
Anyways pregnant!reader x the boys and reader goes into labor while heâs gone and so reader calls them saying their water broke and by the time they get home you ended up having the baby đ«Łđ«Ł
Simon Riley x in labor reader âĄ
warnings; child birth(kinda in detail) and blood
a/n; this is my first request and its like 1 in the morning𫥠but I have to fufill my duties! ENJOY CUTIES also this is kinda slow and long icl
The clock reads 1:29AM in the morning. Itâs cold in the house since the heater recently broke, and Simon has yet to fix it yet, which annoys you but you cant help but not complain since your 9 months pregnant and pushing a week late from your due date and all you wanna do is just get this over with.
You know Simon is at work right now and you feel the empty spot in the bed next to you, feeling a sudden wave of sadness because your husband isnât here. But never mind that. You stand up from the bed, your throat and mouth feels dry and in desperate need of water, your cold hand grabs the water bottle from the nightstand, just to be disappointed and figure out: you drank all the water.
Slipping on your fluffy slippers Simon got you for your birthday, you make your way to the kitchen, holding your water bottle tightly in your hand.
Not until suddenly your water breaks, and then it occurs to you that you might be going into labor, and its now the time to panic because your husband isnât here and your probably about to give birth any minute now.
Your first instinct is to call Simon immediately so you whip out your phone from your sweatpants, unlocking your phone and finding Simonâs contact number before PUNCHING that call button.
âCmon, pick up please!â You mutter to yourself as you start to fell nervous, your body is shaking already from the 20 scenarios being smacked into your mind right now. 1 ring.. 2..3.
âYeâ its 1 in the mornin lovâ, wotâs wrong?â Simon grumbles in a tired but kinda worried tone, you hear him get up to enter a different room.
âMy water broke, I donât know what to do.â
ââŠâŠâŠ.â
âStay there, Iâm cominâ home right now. Just stay calm and Iâll be there lovâ okay?â
The panicking starts to kick in as you sit against the kitchen counter, taking deep breaths in and out and trying to overall soothe yourself, you think to yourself, âdo I wait for Simon or should I just call an ambulance?â
The first contraction knocks the air out of your lungs, sharp and sudden, catching you off guard as you lean against the kitchen counter. You grip the edge until your knuckles go white, the cool surface grounding you for a fleeting second. You tried waiting for Simon. Youâre alone. And the baby is coming.
Another contraction, stronger this time, bends you in half. You slide to your knees, breath ragged, palms flat against the tile floor. Panic flares, but you push it down. Thereâs no one else. Itâs just you. You move fast now, instincts louder than fear. A blanket from the laundry basket. Clean towels. Water, though itâs barely warm.
The pressure builds. Your body takes over. You scream, not because youâre scared, though maybe you are, but because it hurts and itâs real and itâs happening. You bear down. Time stretches. Minutes double. Or maybe itâs seconds. You lose track.
And then, suddenly, powerfully, thereâs life in your arms. A tiny cry fills the kitchen, more powerful than the storm outside. Youâre shaking, soaked in sweat and tears, but you did it. You brought your baby into the world.
Right here in your kitchen.
You sit on the kitchen floor, cradling the tiny, wriggling bundle against your chest. Your breathing is shallow, every muscle trembling with exhaustion. The blanket around the baby is damp with your sweat, but theyâre warm. Alive. Safe. You did it.
You donât even hear the front door open, just the sound of boots stomping hard against the floor, the breathless shout of your name echoing through the house. Then heâs there.
Simons eyes find you in an instant. They widen, stunned, like his brain canât make sense of what heâs seeing. You, pale and shaking, sitting on a towel-strewn floor. Blood on your thighs. A baby in your arms. His baby.
Simon drops to his knees beside you, hands hovering, trembling.
âOh my God,â he breathes, eyes glassy with disbelief and guilt. âYou did this⊠youâalone?â
You nod. Barely. Your voice is gone. Youâre too tired to speak.
But he touches your face like youâre made of glass, kisses your forehead like a prayer. Then he sees the baby properly for the first time. His breath catches. He makes a sound between a sob and a laugh as he reaches for the two of you, careful, reverent.
âIâm here,â Simon says softly, voice breaking. âIâm so sorry I wasnâtâ Iâm here now. Youâre okay. You both⊠you did it.â
You close your eyes and finally let go of the tension coiled in your chest. Youâre not alone anymore. Heâs here. And the three of you, somehow are okay.

2. Use your needle driver to grab the needle. ...Â
3. Use the tissue forceps to expose the side of the wound you'll begin the suture on. ...Â
4. Push the needle through the skin at a 90-degree angle about a centimeter to the right of the wound.
You read out loud with perfect grammatical rules, leaving perfect timing between commas and periods. Itâs been a year and a half since you started teaching and a new cycle had begun by late summer.Â
âNow follow the pattern I just demonstrated and Iâll pass around to see your progressâ you softly indicated with a smile to your students.Â
Everyone was great, you held back a new smile when you passed by Ellieâs table. She smirks at you in disguise and you give her a thumbs up to cheer her up.
Mrs. Miller is so hot, youâre so lucky to live with herâŠ.
You want to laugh so hard after hearing Ellieâs friends failing to whisper those words.Â
Everyone knew you were married to the mighty Joel Miller. The town knew you were Tommy and Mariaâs sister-in-law. They knew you were a great nurse and teacher. And they loved it when they heard Mrs. Miller would organize the holiday events of Jackson.Â
âOkay, guys. You did great. Tomorrow weâll keep the practice of sewing and cleaning superficial wounds. Now get out of hereâ They happily started leaving one by one saying goodbye to you.Â
Ellie seemed to be arguing with his friend. She continuously rolled her eyes and sighed until the boy smiled at you and left. So you raised an eyebrow towards the girl and she stood up finally.
âAre you coming back home with me or are you gonna go play with your friend?âÂ
âJesse is not my friend and of course, Iâm going home with you. Rosalie and Rae are still coming for dinner, right?â You nod at her, giggling because of her attitude.
âYou should take Jesse as your friend. He is a nice boyâ Ellie only rolled her eyes once again.
âHeâs annoying as well as his other friend named Dina. They are awkward and they are not as funny as Rosalie, Cerise, Joel, and youâ she admits closing her backpack.
âAww, Ellie! Thatâs so sweet of youâŠâ
âYeah, yeah, yeah⊠But letâs go, your baby must be very fussyâÂ
Damn, sheâs right. Your little baby was a bolter, Cerise Miller was eleven months old. She had started trying to waddle and she often repeated vague words. Usually courtesy of her father; Joel loved his little angel and always talked to her.
You would never get tired of going straight to your little family after a long day.
âWould you like non-flour biscuits and steak for dinner?â Ellie nodded smiling but then frowned.
âYou know Iâd love to but⊠our rations for the week wonât be enough⊠Oh, and donât you dare to ask Maria and Tommy for more, that would be very embarrassingâ she said as you could only be laughing at her.
âYou wouldnât mind if I asked them, you donât want me to do it because that would give you less right to be mean to themâÂ
âMaybeâŠâÂ
After closing the classroom, you and Ellie exit the little building that served as a school. It was the middle of the week and summer remained peaking as autumn was around the corner.
âHey⊠Can I ask you a question?â Ellie nodded at you.
âSureâŠâ
âDo your classmates think that we are like⊠mother and daughter?â You asked with a shy tone.Â
The streets were kind of busy as you and the fifteen-year-old girl started your way towards home.
âNah⊠they know were like⊠friends or sisters? Besides⊠everyone knows youâre very chillâ she admitted.
âI ainât a chill person. Iâm fair⊠thatâs itâ
âYouâre chill, y/n. With your students, with your friends, with me, with your daughter, and even with Joel. And that drives him crazyâ You smiled at the thought of your handsome husband.
A couple of weeks ago, the man came and decided to celebrate your first wedding anniversary by taking you to the same strawberry field where Cerise was born. It was romantic, then Maria arranged a little dinner for you two while she and Tommy took Cerise and Ellie for the night. That night Joel fucked you so damn good that you had to be very careful the following weeks, thinking you were pregnant once again. False alarm.
âBut you shouldnât be very chill with the other kids in class,â Ellie said.
âWhy?â
âThe boys are always drooling for you, especially the older ones. They keep saying you are a MILFâ your eyes were wide open after she said that.
âOh.â
âYou know what that meansâ
âI sure do,â you said avoiding her gaze as you crossed another street.
âCan you tell me what it means?â
Youâre a chill teacher, friend, mother, and wife. So you nodded at her.
âI can tell you, but I donât to hear you saying itâ
âSure, man. I promiseâ Ellie sweared.
âIt stands for Mom Iâd Like To FuckâŠâ Ellie blushed immediately, making you laugh embarrassed as well.
âI told you soâŠâ you said, finally arriving home.
You open the door of the house and the first thing you notice is Maria and Tommyâs kid there. He smiles and you lock the door before kneeling to greet him.
âHello, kid. How are you? Have you been taking care of my angel?â You questioned the two-year-old boy with a kiss on his cheek. He could only coo and giggle.
âMy little man has been a gentleman with Cerise since we arrivedâ Maria appeared with your daughter in her arms. She immediately asked to be in your arms and started squirming.
âHi, little heartâ you greeted her, kissing her hair that smelled like plums and sugar like her shampoo. She had the same soft hair and kind eyes as Joel. Something that always made you smile.
âWhatâs up, Cerise?â Ellie greeted your daughter, taking off her shoes and hanging her backpack near the entrance of the house.
âOkay, little man and I need to leave. We promised Tommy to have a movie night and they are almost back from patrol. Must get goingâŠâ Maria announced giving a quick hug and a squeeze on the hand of Cerise before saying one last goodbye and leaving with her kid.
âHey, y/n. You never said how you got more meat for dinner?â You smirk to yourself, placing Cerise in her baby walker. It was old as hell, probably from the nineties. Joel had said it looked very similar to the baby walker Sarah had.Â
âLetâs say Star and I went to have a little hunting tripâ you revealed, entering the kitchen and being followed by Cerise.
âIf Joel finds out, youâre deadâÂ
âIâm the chill wife. What can I say?â Both of you started laughing.Â
âJust be careful, y/n. PleaseâŠâ Ellie said, so you reassured her by squeezing her shoulder.
âAlways, Ellie. For my family, alwaysâŠâÂ
âSudden change of subject but you know what would be awesome? A new lunchboxâŠâ you turned to look at her backpack. It was the same backpack that traveled from the Boston QZ to Jackson. The lunch you made for her usually was a mess after a couple of hours.
âIâll see what I can do to get you a new one. I also need new clothes for Cerise, farting isnât enough to deflate her, she keeps growingâ Ellie started laughing.
âMind you, sheâs your daughter, y/nâ
âSo? Sheâs my little heart but sheâs still a stinky furball at timesâ you said kneeling to kiss and annoy Cerise, who cooed and screamed in happiness.
-
When Joel arrived home the sun had almost disappeared completely. He opened the door and was greeted by the sight of Ellie and you chasing Cerise, who was still on her baby walker, cooing loudly.Â
A big smile was planted on his face.
âJoel⊠Is that you, honey?â You asked, sounding agitated.
âYes, dear.â You appear in his line of vision, wearing a pink sundress and bare feet.
He greets you in his arms, giving you a big kiss.
âMmm⊠I missed youâ you admitted.
âWe made love this morning, y/nâ
âSo? We can be apart half an hour and Iâll miss you like I havenât seen you in a yearâ he chuckled, kissing you once again. Only to be interrupted by something colliding at his feet.
Both of you look down, encountering Cerise, who has a toothy smile.
âDa-da⊠dad!â Joel immediately picked her up. Ellie came to the scene too, drinking from a glass of water and spreading some hair away from her face, only to greet Joel and then disappear upstairs.
âHello, angelâ It was a rare day when Joel didn't wake up questioning if he wasnât dreaming. Even a year after coming back from Salt Lake City with Ellie and you, he couldnât believe his new life. Where he lived near Tommy, he was married again, now working, unlike the first time. His wife was a young woman and gave him a daughter.Â
âRosalie and Rae got caught up with work so they wonât join us for dinner. But theyâre coming tomorrow with Tommy and Mariaâ Your husband nodded at you, playing with Cerise as she fought to grab Joelâs beard, which tickled her but couldnât stop doing so.
âOh, thatâs terribleâ his sarcastic tone was evident, which made you smile.
âWhat? Darlinâ you know I only want to be with my girlsâ Before he could hug you from behind, he placed Cerise on the carpet of the living room.
âGo take a shower and tell Ellie to come down, Texasâ Your playful smile resulted contagious to him, so he got closer to kiss your cheek and spank your ass before leaving upstairs too.
-
Just by the time your family and you finished dinner, Cerise was already upstairs sleeping with Ellie. You and Joel were cleaning up the dishes as you listened to an old cassette player and said bad jokes.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door and both of you exchanged looks.
âIâll take itâŠâ you said.
When you open the door, you see Rosalie standing.
âRosalie⊠What happened?âÂ
âWe need you in the clinic. One of the technicians had an accident and needs a little surgeryâ you gasped, feeling Joel coming to the door to slide a hand in your waist as he heard Rosalie.
âThatâs why the power went out for some seconds?â Joel asked and Rosalie nodded.
âYup⊠please, y/nâ you nodded.
âLet me get my hoodie. Joel, Can you stay and check on the girls?âÂ
âSure, go on, darlinââŠâÂ
After another big kiss, you hurry along with Rosalie to get to the clinic.
-
âHe is going to be fine, just one broken finger. Thereâs just one problem, we donât have any castâŠâ Maria and one of the council members sigh, looking at each other. Jeremy was a thirty-four-year-old male technician who fell while trying to fix some wires. He had a little concussion and you stitched two of his fingers that were slightly burnt. His broken finger was the issue until you remembered the mall near Jackson.Â
âMaybe we have some materials to improvise a castâŠâ
âOr I can make a quick trip to the mall and get some supplies.âÂ
âMaybe itâs not the best idea, y/nâŠâ
âYou know itâs mostly clear, perhaps one or two infected but itâs okay. Besides⊠Iâve proven to be trustworthy to goâŠâ you had done some patrols along with Tommy and Joel, and they didnât have any complaints about you.Â
âI guess not⊠Have you been inside the mall before?âÂ
âYesâŠâ you lied.
The truth is you wanted to go alone to take your time. You had gone to the little abandoned market before, but the mall was different. While your priority was the medical supplies, you also had other interests. You wanted to get Ellie a new lunchbox, clothing for Cerise, and some flannels for Joel.
âAlright. Joel is going with youâ Maria said and you nodded but maybe you wouldnât let him know. Heâd lock you before letting you go to the mall alone.
âHey⊠Is it too late for a haircut?â You asked her.
âNah⊠letâs go.â
-
The following morning, you leave a note for Ellie telling her the truth. And for Joel, a note that said you were going back to the clinic and then to school, that he take care of Cerise, and that you loved him so much.
After a quick breakfast, you ended up at the stables, saddling up Star.
âGoinâ somewhere, darlinââŠ?â Startled you donât dare to turn back, but you know itâs your husband.
Shit, heâs gonna fuck me⊠and not like Iâd want to.
âOh hi, honeyâ
âDonât bullshit me with that. Were you planning on tellinâ me youâre going to the mall alone?â
âYou wouldâve said no and we wouldâve arguedâŠâ
âIâm coming with you. Now quit talkinâ 'cause Iâm not very happy with you right nowâ he said, going for his horse.
Once you are ready to go, Joel finally faces you.
âYou changed your hairâŠâ you looked different, still gorgeous to his eyes.
âYeah... Maria helped me out yesterday after the clinic incident. You like it?âŠâ
âI love it, baby.â He had you blushing like a teenager and you hadnât even left Jackson yet.
âThanks, Joelâ he smiled, knowing he couldnât be mad at you any longer.
âOh what the hell, come âere, gorgeous.â You get close and he leans to passionately kiss you.
âI have the hottest wife, you know?â Pushing him gently, you start going back towards Star, avoiding his eyes with a giant smile.
âAnd I have the hottest husband, you know?âÂ
âDeaf with a demolished back but Iâm your old man,â he said, hugging you from behind, letting you he was half hard while feeling his cock against your ass.
âYou got hard with my new haircut?â
âCourseâ I would, darlinâ. Canât wait to see those little bangs against your forehead when I get you riding meâ You sure reached a new level of embarrassment at that moment. And you thanked the stables were clear of humans.
âOKAY-⊠where did you leave my daughter, Texas?â
âOur daughter is with Tommy, California DreaminââŠâ
âGood. Letâs go thenâŠâ you said smiling, finally leaving the town.
-
The mall was definitely not what you expected.
âSo people used to come here to eat, shop, and just hang out in general?â Joel nodded, cautiously holding a flashlight with one hand and his rifle with the other.
âThatâs right, loveâÂ
âThis reminds me of the library you took me back in Bostonâ Joel sighed.
He remembered the man he was back then. Still grieving his past, being cold and mean towards the woman he saved. You were a broken and weak woman. And yet, you always smiled at him.
Your birthday was coming and Joel was tired of your intellectual talks, so he took you to pick some books. Now he understands he did that because deep down he already loved you back then.
He could also see you had bloomed into a new woman, and he couldnât help but feel like he had fallen in love again.Â
âI was an asshole towards you.â He admitted walking through the mall.
âYou were. But neither of us gave up on each other. And look at us nowâŠ.â you optimistically said.
âWe have a house, we have jobs, two kids and weâre having a date in a scary abandoned mallâ Joel chuckled.
âThis ainât a date, babyâ
âIt is, shut up, Joel,â you said.
Since the priority was the medical supplies, thatâs where you headed first. Then, you dragged Joel to get Ellieâs lunchbox, the only one available was one of Wonder Woman so you took it. Then, thankfully, you found a baby store.
âOh my god! Look at these, Joel! Sheâs gonna look so fucking adorable!â You said showing him a pair of cowgirl boots.
âShe could match you. Since you really love your boots, babyâ Joel teased, crossing his arms, allowing himself to relax just a tiny bit. He knew you loved your brown boots, you wore them the whole year. With jeans, skirts, dresses, everything.
âOkay, just the boots and this adorable set of seasonal pajamasâ One set was purple with orange and corn candies for Halloween, the other had pumpkins and pies, the other one of hearts, and a last one of snowflakes, cookies, and Christmas trees.
âHave you seen how Cerise is starting to bite everything?âÂ
âHer teeth must be coming soonâŠâ Joel confirmed, taking your hand to lead you out of the store.
Besides the baby store, there was a place full of underwear, perfumes, and feminine stuff.
âWhatâs Victoriaâs Secret?â
âLingerie and womanly stuff storeâ you nod, getting a closer look. Some pretty sets had you imagining modeling them for your husband.
âAnd what was her secret?â
âOh câmon, baby, letâs keep going.â He said gently pushing you.
âWait. Donât you want to fuck me in one of those sets?â Joel blushed and acted like he was debating whether to agree with you or not. But both of you knew the real answer.
âYour silence says it all, Joel.â And with that, you entered the store.
It was completely stocked and seemed like nobody had come in hopes of scavenging something.
âThis is so prettyâŠâ you say grabbing a black bra. Joel could only follow you like a lost puppy.
âJoel⊠pink or purple?â He looked at the two options and pointed at one.
âPinkâŠâÂ
âNaughty boyâŠâ you said smirking and he rolled his eyes.
âI like this oneâŠâ Joel showed you, it was a seen-through tulle nightgown in maroon and lilac tones.
âThen weâre taking it home with us tooâ You finally start packing all of your favorite ones and you notice there's still some available space in your backpack.
You load your gun before nodding at Joel, letting him know you are ready.
âWhere is your bow?â He asked.
âLeft it at homeâŠâ you had gotten very good using the bow and arrows and with Joel teaching you how to skin animals, you often went on solo hunts. Not that he knew that.
Suddenly both of you grow quiet after hearing something shatter and then crashing nearby.
Joel indicated you to keep quiet while peaking through the entrance of the store.
A clicker passed by and you had to hold a big scream by covering your mouth. Since those things were blind, you were safe for a moment.
âStay behind meâŠwhen I tell you to run⊠we run, y/n. Understood?â He whispered inches away from you.
âJoel⊠â you whispered back when you saw the clicker entering the store. He protectively stood in front of you and pointed at the infected in case of anything. You also gripped the trigger of your weapon.
The disgusting sound of click click click was driving you insane. But you and Joel were so close to the exit that neither of you noticed the frame of a poster on the floor, so when Joel tripped over, the clicker immediately reacted, jumping towards the sound, and ending on top of Joel.
âJOEL!âÂ
One bad aim and you could kill Joel, so you have to act quick and smartly. The clicker moved extremely fast while your husband tried to push him away.Â
âRun, y/n!â you wouldnât leave your husband alone. NeverâŠÂ
With zero patience and lots of faith, you shot twice, and to your luck, both bullets went straight to the clickerâs head. The dead body of the creature was lying beside your husband. So you ran to help him.
âAre you okay? No bites, right?â Joel hurried to calm you, leading you outside of the store, finally.
âNo bites, baby. Iâm okayâ You nodded, sighing in relief.
âLetâs get the fuck out of hereâ you added, hearing the distant sounds of more clickers approaching, probably from the second floor that was actually below where you had been collecting stuff.
-
The way back home is slightly quieter. Joel knows you were still a little taken aback by the incident back at the mall. So as the two of you were still riding your horses, he turned to see you.
He adored his wife so much.
âYou were amazinâ back there, babyâÂ
âWhat?â
âYeah, the way you perfectly pulled the trigger and killed the clicker. Your hand never shakinââŠâ you smiled briefly.
âI just wished you were⊠immune too. It would be a little less stressfulâ Joel sighed.
âHey, Iâm not immune but Iâm perfectly capable of coming back to you. Iâve done this for more than twenty years. And for you and the girls⊠Iâd do it foreverâÂ
âAww, honey. I love you so much!âÂ
He is in love. He canât recognize the woman you have become. You are stronger, funnier, and more vivid if that was even possible. And he knows you canât recognize the man he transformed into. A man who treated you with adoration. Who wasnât afraid of showing how much he loved you.Â
âYou know? You were my savior once but now⊠you are the reason why I will save myself every time. To come back to you and the girls tooâŠâÂ
âI love you too, y/n. So fucking much, babyâ
âI knowâŠâ you said cheekily, smiling at him.
It was then that a sudden memory came to you, making you giggle.
âHey Joel⊠Want to know what Ellieâs classmates call me?â Joel frowns confused but then nods.
âSure?âŠâ
âThey say Iâm a MILFâ Joel couldnât help but laugh hard, on the verge of tears.
âWell, you are, darlinâ⊠But thatâs a pleasure I will be the only one to haveâ you blushed.
âOf course, I would not risk my life at Victoriaâs Secret for any other man than you, Joelâ he remembered the sets you got and he could feel himself getting hard again.
âFuck⊠I miss Cerise and Ellie but I really want to get back to having you in bed with all those sets you borrowedâÂ
âFine, but you clean the dishes and kitchen todayâ he nods, smiling cockily at you.
âSure, now letâs get going, Mom Iâd like to fuckâŠâ
âJOEL!â He loved teasing you and seeing you get all flustered.Â

When The Night Calls
[Izuku Midoriya x Female!Reader]
Synopsis: Your best friend leaving the hero course was enough to make you lose your mind. Especially when heâs suddenly standing across from you with nothing but a tired smile.
WC: 2978
Category: Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Vigilante!Deku
Please give this one extra love!! Somehow Midoriya is also very suspiciously difficult to write đ (Also, that 3rd-degree burn I gave my hand today is making me want to cry and throw myself in a river. Damn you, AO3 curse!! )
ăâąâąââąâąă
Seeing that letter taped on your door broke you in more ways than one.
He had been gone for almost a week, but his note left behind made you realize just how long it'd been. How long he had left you with nothing more than a simple explanation of his departure and how it felt like he was never coming back.
The entire class had been on edge ever since. The note even threw Bakugo for a loop, as much as he would deny it. It had everyone wondering where he was and if he was okay.
It hurt you the most, though. He was the closest friend you had and the only one who truly understood your feelings.
But now he was gone.
Aizawa still continued teaching, but with Midoriya absent, the class just couldn't focus. He wasn't as good at making things seem less depressing or stressful, and his lectures were just boring without a green bush to lighten the mood. Or at least, you thought so.
You haven't been paying much attention lately, and you're too busy thinking of your missing friend. Your grades had been slipping, but it wasn't like anyone could blame you. Even if your friends could, they didn't say anything.
They had tried talking to you, but all you could do was give them a half-hearted smile, shake your head, and tell them, "I'm fine."
You weren't fine, and you knew that. But what were you supposed to do? Cry about it? Itâs not like heâd come back if you did that.
Ironically, he did technically come back.
That day, Aizawa decided to keep the pain everyone felt about Midoriya buried beneath the surface, so he assigned you all a ten-page essay about the history of quirks.
So, here you were, writing a half-assed essay close to two in the morning. Kaminari was blowing up the group chat with memes and random jokes, but no one seemed to care or even respond.
Well, that was until Bakugo started yelling at him to stop texting because he was trying to sleep.
That went on for about a solid ten minutes, with everyone getting annoyed at the two idiots, but eventually, it died down.
You took a glance at the clock, which now read 2:12 a.m.
Sleep just couldn't come to you. Not now, not when your brain was filled with thoughts of the broccoli boi.
Then, there was a tiny patter against your window, almost like a knock. If it hadnât been so quiet, you might not have heard it.
You ignored it at first, of course, but it continued, the knocks getting louder and more urgent.
Finally, you stood from your chair, deciding to investigate, but then, the knocking stopped.
You paused, confused, but shrugged, figuring you must have been hearing things.
Yeah, right, because hearing knocks on your dorm window at 2 a.m. is normal.
It turned out to be a good thing you got up because when you turned back around, a figure was directly behind you.
You jumped back in fear, letting out a short shriek before slapping your hands over your mouth. The side eye glance to your window, now open and curtain rustling in the slight wind, had you regretting not locking the damn thing.
The figure let out a small chuckle, his shoulders shaking a bit, and your heart rate sped up.
You could see the person a lot better now that they weren't in the shadows, but the moonlight still kept their face hidden.
All you could see was the curly mess of green hair and a large hoodie with a black mask pulled over the bottom half of their face.
But you didnât have to see his eyes to know exactly who it was.
Your hands fell limply to your sides as the boy stepped closer. His hand reached the hood of his suit, slowly pulling it off, and his bright, emerald green eyes were staring straight into yours.
The only thing you could do was stare, dumbfounded.
"You did lock it, by the way," the boy's voice said. It sounded hoarse and scratchy as if he hadn't spoken in days. He probably hadn't.
Still, his intuition never failed.
You continued to stare, eyes wide and unblinking.
Midoriya's brow furrowed, a look of worry replacing his smile.
"They really should put more difficult locks on these things. I mean, honestly, all I had to do was twist it, and it opened. If I were a villain, thenâ hmph!"
Your arms wrapped around his neck tightly, cutting him off. His eyes widened, surprised, but eventually, he relaxed, wrapping his own arms around your waist and pulling you closer.
"I was so worried," you said. You could feel your body starting to tremble, tears pricking your eyes. "Everyone was."
His arms tightened, his chin resting on your shoulder.
"I know. I'm sorry," he whispered, his breath tickling your ear. "I couldn't think of any other way."
You leaned back a bit enough to look him in the eyes. His tired, determined eyes.
"Wait, if youâre here⊠does that mean...?"
"I need my notebook." He kept his frown, and a sigh escaped his lips. "You have my old notes, right? I need those."
Oh.
That was it.
That was why he was back.
"Oh," You failed to hide the disappointment in your tone. "Right, uh, hold onâŠ"
You pulled away, your eyes looking away from his. You could feel his eyes burning into the back of your head as you walked over to the desk, rummaging through the drawer.
Speaking of, your desk was an absolute disaster. If allowing students in your dorm room wasn't against the rules, Iida would have broken down your door a long time ago, screaming at the top of his lungs about how your room was in utter chaos.
Eventually, you found it. It was covered in sticky notes, and some of the pages were folded. Makes sense, considering the fact that you'd spent the last week reading it, studying, and hoping to find some kind of clue about his whereabouts and the league itself.
But even if it was in your hands, screaming for its owner, you hesitated. He was going to leave again, wasn't he? He wasn't going to stay.
But common sense hit you. You couldnât force him to stay. It would be selfish of you to even ask.
You turned, walking back over to him. He was staring intently at the ground, his eyes narrowed in concentration, and he had a small frown on his face.
When you were a couple of feet away, he finally looked up, his hand reaching out for the book.
"Here," you said, trying not to let the sadness seep into your words. "Donât mind the added stickies. Simpler terms, easier to understand, you know?"
"Right, thanks," he murmured, his eyes darting over the cover before flipping through the pages. His brows were scrunched together, and his fingers fiddled with the pages, flipping through them with a practiced speed.
He was so concentrated on the notebook that he didn't see your frown, and he didn't see the sadness in your eyes.
But then, he froze.
His eyes scanned over one of the pages, his fingers tightening around the spine of the book, and his breath hitched.
His eyes flickered up to yours, and his lips were set in a tight line.
"You read this?"
"Huh?" You blinked, taken aback. "Was I⊠not supposed to read it all?"
"What? No, no, I meant this page."
He flipped the book around, opening it to a certain page, and held it up for you to see.
Oh, yeah, his page. The one where he wrote about himself. Which, proudly, you knew most of what was written in it, anyway. Some things caught you off guard, but not many.
"Oh, yeah, I skimmed over it," you admitted.
"And... how much did you skim over?"
"Um... all of it? I mean, I'm in your hero notes, too. I took a lot more of my time on the page dedicated to me, I have to admit, but uh⊠What's the big deal?"
Midoriya looked at you, and his gaze was intense. "Did you⊠miss me that much that you would study my hero notes that closely?"
"Well, I wouldnât say closelyâ"
He tilted his head in an almost sarcastic manner, and his eyes narrowed as he leaned over to point at a section in his notes.
A bright pink sticky note, covered in stars, was stuck onto the paper.
It was a small part, a very short paragraph, and you had given your analysis of him and not of his quirk either. It was a list of his attributes, his personality, and the type of hero he was.
To someone else, it would be pretty informative about what kind of person he was and what kind of hero he would be, but you both knew the true meaning behind the note.
Because it was all the things you missed about him.
"⊠oh, " was all you could say.
The air around you two suddenly became awkward, the silence becoming heavy.
The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
But, as expected, Midoriya broke the silence.
"I figured since youâre still awake, it must mean that you're working on homework or studying, and you wouldnât do that at night if I werenât gone," he began. "I thought that maybe it would be too soon to come back, or even that I should have stayed away, but, well, I really needed my notes, and, honestly, I wanted to see you, andâ!"
He was rambling again. You could practically see the gears turning in his head, his brain spitting out more words than his mouth could.
At least he was still himself, you thought.
You decided to cut him off, placing your hand on his arm, and he jolted at the sudden contact, his head snapping back up to yours.
"Iâm sorry," you said, looking down.
He looked confused, tilting his head. "What for? You have nothing to be sorry for; you didn't do anything wrong."
"No, Iâ" You cut yourself off, biting your lip, and looked away. You took a deep breath before speaking.
"I'm sorry," you started. "For not stopping you. For not coming with you. For not helping you. I had no idea what you were going through, and I was too worried about myself, and I didn'tâ"
"Hey, hey, stop," Midoriya said, placing his hand on your shoulder. You hadn't realized you were shaking. "This is my fight, okay? It's not yours, and I was the one who didnât want to bring anyone else into this mess. This isnât your fault, so please donât beat yourself up about it."
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do." You looked back up at him, tears blurring your vision. "I donât know how to help."
He was silent for a moment, but then, he pulled you closer, wrapping his arms around you once again, and you buried your head in his chest, gripping the fabric of his hoodie.
"It's okay," he said. "I donât expect you to know how to help, and I didnât come here for your help. Well, technically, I did since you had my notebook, but Iâm speaking on aâ"
âI know, I know," you mumbled.
Another moment of silence, and then, he sighed, a puff of air brushing your ear.
"I'm not sure when I'll be back, if I ever will, but I promise," he whispered, his breath tickling your ear and his words making your heart skip a beat. "I promise we will be fine. We all will. Me, you, everyone else. It might take a while, but we will be okay."
You nodded, your grip on his hoodie tightening. This was the sound of a goodbye, and the finality of it terrified you.
"Itâs justâŠ" you mumbled, and his brow furrowed.
"Just what?"
You hesitated, a lump forming in your throat.
"What?" He repeated, pulling back to look you in the eye. "Please tell me."
You took a deep breath, swallowed the lump, and looked him in the eye.
"It's just that... Youâre my not-alone buddy, remember?â
Midoriya froze, his eyes widening.
It was a little game you two had back when things werenât so complicated. Back when you were just normal students.
You both struggled to make friends, so you made a pact. Obviously, that thought disbanded when everyone else got close, and now you all were pretty good friends, but the friendship between him and you was different. It was a bond between you two that was just special.
Not even âKacchanâ could ruin that, as close as he and Midoriya grew.
You never called him Deku, even after Bakugo and the rest of the class started calling him by the nickname. Sure, it was his hero name, and you could call him that, but you just never felt comfortable.
Todoroki didnât either, but then again, Todoroki didn't call anyone by their nicknames.
But, back to the point.
"We made a pact, and... that was one of the things I wrote on the sticky notes." You gestured to the book. "It was during my angry denial phase, so Iâm not that proud of it, but⊠it was still true."
"You were angry?" He asked, confused. "Why?"
"Well, first of all, I was worried sick. I knew you were going to go do something stupid, and obviously, I was right.â
He winced at that.
"But I was angry because you didnât trust me, and I felt like you were leaving me, too," you said, biting your lip. "I know that sounds stupid and selfish, and I get that this was your battle, not mine, and I can't change that, but... I guess I was just scared. You didnât even tell me before you left, and the note was just..."
You trailed off, a lump forming in your throat again, and your eyes burned with tears.
You didn't want to cry in front of him, so you buried your face in his chest again, and his grip tightened around you.
"I'm sorry," he apologized.
You shook your head. "Donât apologize. It's not like you're changing your mind."
He was quiet for a moment, his head lowering and his lips resting on your forehead.
"I'm sorry," he whispered.
Your breath hitched. "Izuku, please don't say it."
He pulled back, and his face was unreadable. He looked determined, his eyes burning with passion, and it hurt. It hurt to know that, despite everything, he still had his mind made up.
"I have to go," he said, and his voice was quiet. "I donât want to leave you alone. I really donât, but I have to, and you need to stay safe. Me being here isn't doing anything good, and I can't keep coming back and putting you in danger. So, for now, at least until the Shigaraki is dealt with, please just be safe. Donât try and find me, and please don't let anyone else know I was here."
He paused, his eyes glancing towards the window.
"Actually, I might come back just to get rid of that lock. I mean, seriously, I barely even touched it, and it came right off. You could easily replace it with something stronger, maybe one of those new locks that only respond to fingerprints! But, then it can be traced back to you, and they can use you toâ oh, man, I'm rambling again, aren't I?"
You didn't bother to respond. Instead, you leaned up, pressing your lips against his cheek.
Midoriya's entire face went bright red, his mouth opening and closing like a fish.
You could feel your face burning, but it was worth it to see his reaction.
"Be careful," you said. "Please, Izu, donât be stupid."
"R-Right."
He stumbled a bit, his hand coming up to touch the spot where your lips were. His eyes flickered back to you, and you swore you saw him blushing, but then he turned, heading towards the window.
"Oh, uhm, b-by the way," he said, reaching the window. He placed his hand on the frame, glancing back at you. "For Aizawa's essay, you have to also analyze the strengths and weaknesses, not just the evolution of quirks. Make sure to read the whole paragraph in that book he gave us at the beginning of the semester."
He gave you one last smile, pulling the mask over his mouth and the hood over his head. You looked in befuddlement as he stepped out onto the roof, and your hands were wrapped around the edges of the open window.
"How did youâ"
"It's Aizawa," His mask was muffling his voice, so he lifted it up a bit, and his eyes twinkled. "What else do you expect from him?"
And then he jumped.
He let the mask drop back down and became just another shadow in the night, with his green lightning trailing behind him.
You didnât have the energy to laugh, and you didn't have the heart.
You leaned against the windowsill, letting the cool night air wash over your face. You sighed, watching the clouds drift in the sky.
"You're still an idiot," you whispered, closing your eyes.
When the sun rises, this encounter will only be a distant memory.
But for now, the cold night was enough to convince you otherwise. For now, his green eyes were staring up at the same night sky, and he was thinking of you, too.
That kiss on the cheek, as tame as it was, was still enough to make his head spin. You were still his friend, his not-alone buddy, and nothing was going to change that.
And you both were okay with that.

Hii! Love your fics! For a request, maybe being friends/coworkers smth like that, but fans keep making edits and theories abt you two dating or being in love or something? Honestly, idk if I want it to be more fluff with a soft love confession or some hurt/comfort where one of them denies it (unknowingly hurting the other one) and with a dramatic love confession - it's up to you to decide cause I literally can't choose.
No rush! You can absolutely write it whenever or not write it at all!â€ïžđ
I gotchuuu <3 thank you for your suggestion !
Canon now, actually
Bbno$ (Alex Gumuchian) x reader
Female reader, slight angst and fluff at the end, friends to lovers
A/n: Iâve been getting a lot of requests for a friends to lovers fic so hereâs my version of it! Iâll probably write another one with more angst and slow burn but please enjoy this one for now and I have more fics coming out soon <3

You had always been there â before the world knew his name, before the streams and sold-out shows and absurd viral TikToks. You were there when he was still in his âletâs see if this music thing worksâ phase, helping him with shoots, hyping up his worst freestyles, laughing at his chaotic sleep schedule and even more chaotic outfits.
You knew him as Alex, not bbno$. He was just your best friend. At least, thatâs what you tried to remind yourself.
But somewhere between late-night FaceTimes and stolen glances during studio sessions, something shifted. Heâd show up with your favorite coffee without asking. He remembered every inside joke from years ago. He called you when anything remotely funny happened because, âItâs only funny if I tell you.â
And then the internet noticed
---
It started small â a comment on a TikTok:
- âAre they together or is it just me?â
Then came the edits. Little montages of Instagram stories, him looking at you mid-laugh, hand brushing yours, casual flirty banter. His fans were convinced you were a secret couple.
- âHeâs so in love and itâs obvious.â
- âThe way he looks at her? Thatâs not platonic.â
- âSheâs his muse. Iâm calling it.â
You couldnât lie â it made your heart race. Even if it wasnât real, it felt real. The way his hand lingered on your back. The way he called you âdudeâ and âbabeâ in the same breath. The way he talked to everyone, but really only looked at you.
But then came that stream.
You werenât even watching live. A friend sent you the clip with a laughing emoji and a ârip the shippers.â
You clicked.
There he was â in his usual streaming setup, hair messy, glasses slipping down his nose, sipping from that enormous bottle of water he never left without.
A fan asked in the chat:
- âyo be honest. are you and y/n dating?â
Alex read it out loud, grinned, and shook his head.
âWhat? No way,â he said, laughing. âWeâre not dating. Sheâs just my best friend. Chill, yâall.â
He moved on like it was nothing.
But it wasnât nothing. Not to you.
You sat with that clip playing in your head on repeat. The way he said âno way.â Like it was ridiculous. Like it had never even crossed his mind.
Maybe it hadnât.
---
After that, you stopped texting as much.
Not because you were mad â but because it hurt. Because you realized maybe you were reading too much into everything. Maybe you had built something in your head that didnât exist in his.
You needed to let it go. So you tried.
You answered slower. Called less. Didnât stay on FaceTime with him until 2 a.m. talking about everything and nothing. You told yourself it was healthy. That you were creating boundaries. That he wouldnât even notice.
Except⊠he did.
---
It was a week and a half before he showed up at your place, completely unannounced, hoodie up, hair messy, and that look in his eyes like heâd been pacing around the city just to figure out what to say.
You opened the door in surprise. âAlex?â
âOkay,â he said, breathless. âWhat the hell is going on?â
You blinked. âWhat?â
âYouâve been weird. Likeâlike ghosting me weird. You barely text. You donât call. You didnât even like the pic I posted yesterday. It was me with a cat, dude. You love cats.â
You crossed your arms. âMaybe Iâve been busy.â
âNo, seeâno. Thatâs my excuse,â he said, stepping inside. âYouâre never too busy for me unless somethingâs wrong.â
You looked away, trying to keep your composure. âItâs not a big deal.â
âThen why does it feel like I lost my best friend without warning?â
Your throat tightened. âBecause maybe you did.â
He froze. âWhat?â
You finally looked at him â really looked at him. And it all came out.
âYou said âno wayâ like it was insane,â you whispered. âLike the idea of dating me was laughable. And yeah, I know weâre not dating. I know weâre just friends. But hearing you say it like that⊠it just made me feel stupid. For thinking this was ever something more.â
Alex looked like heâd been hit by a train.
âWaitâwait. You felt something too?â
You hesitated. âI thought I was imagining it.â
âOh my God,â he said under his breath, running a hand down his face. âIâm so dumb.â
âYouâre not dumb. You were honest. And I needed to hear it. Thatâs why I backed off â because I needed to stop hoping.â
âNo,â he said, voice suddenly shaking. âYou donât get to do that. You donât get to disappear because I said something dumb on stream. I thought I was protecting us. I didnât know youâ I didnât know you felt it too.â
He took a shaky breath, eyes meeting yours.
âI love you, [Y/N]. Like, not in the âhaha youâre my bestieâ way. I love you in the âI canât go a day without thinking about youâ way. In the âyouâre the only person who makes the noise in my head quietâ way. In the âI see those edits and want them to be realâ way.â
Your heart was racing.
âI love the way you talk about things youâre passionate about. I love your stupid playlists. I love how you take care of people without even realizing it. I love you,â he finished, voice soft but certain.
You stood frozen in place, tears in your eyes.
âAnd I didnât say it on stream because I didnât think I deserved to say it out loud. I was scared. But losing you â even just a little â that scared me more.â
You stepped toward him slowly. âYou mean it?â
âIâve never meant anything more.â
He opened his arms like a silent question.
You didnât answer with words â just stepped into him, wrapped your arms around his hoodie-clad torso, and held on like your heart had finally come home.
He kissed your forehead first. Then your cheek. Then, finally, your lips â slow and careful and full of everything he hadnât known how to say until now.
And when you pulled away, forehead resting against his, he smiled.
âSo⊠can I say it on stream now?â
You laughed, and in that moment â in his arms, with the weight of everything lifted â you knew:
The edits were right all along.

Pt. 2 Is It Too Late For Us?
Pairings: Katsuki Bakugou x Female Reader
Synopsis: Katsuki Bakugou was the one who let you goâonly to realize too late that some mistakes canât be undone.
Part 1 Part 3 Part 4 Alternate Ending
Pro-Hero Dynamight was never the type to get distracted.
Patrolling the city was routine by nowâwatch, observe, handle trouble when needed. It was supposed to be just another night, another shift alongside Kirishima, walking the familiar streets as civilians passed them by.
And then he saw you.
It hit him like a punch to the gut.
You were walking just a few feet away, head tilted back in laughter, eyes sparkling under the glow of the city lights. But it wasnât just you. Some extra was beside youâclose, too close.
Katsukiâs steps faltered for half a second. His breath hitched.
No way.
He shouldâve looked away. He shouldâve kept walking, shouldâve ignored the sharp pang in his chest. But his gaze stayed locked on you, taking in every little detailâyour smile, the way your hand lightly brushed against the guyâs arm, the effortless way you leaned into him.
Like you trusted him. Like you cared for him.
His jaw clenched.
That smile used to be his.
âOi, Bakugou,â Kirishimaâs voice broke through his thoughts. A nudge to his side, concerned. âYou good, man? You kinda spaced out there.â
Katsuki snapped out of it, inhaling sharply. His grip tightened around the gloves of his hero costume.
âTch. Donât mind me,â he muttered, voice gruff. âIâm fine.â
Liar
But even as he forced himself to keep walking, his head turned involuntarily, eyes trailing after you. Watching as you disappeared down the street with that guy. His stomach twisted, something heavy pressing against his ribs.
You looked happy. Really happy.
And it wasnât because of him.
A fish out of water, huh?
What a fitting metaphor.
The days blurred into weeks, and somehow, fate kept throwing them into each otherâs orbit.
You never spoke, never even got close enough to, but Katsuki always saw youâacross the street, in passing crowds, at a distance that felt both too far and painfully close.
But today was different.
You were alone.
Sitting on a park bench, staring off into the distance. No fucking extra by your side. No easy laughter or soft smiles. Just you, lost in thought.
He hesitated.
He should walk away. Pretend he hadnât seen you. But his feet moved before his brain could stop them. Before he knew it, he was standing in front of you.
"Can I?" His voice wasnât as firm as he wanted it to be.
You blinked up at him, startled. And for a moment, their eyes met. Then you looked away.
"...Sure."
He sat down, leaving just enough space between them. The silence stretched, filled only by the distant laughter of children and the rustling of leaves in the breeze.
He wasnât sure how long they sat like that before he spoke.
"How are you?,â His voice was quieter than he intended.
You gave him a small, almost absentminded smile. "Iâm good."
He knew that smile. It was the same one you used when you were hurting but didnât want anyone to worry.
He swallowed. "How 'bout you?"
Her gaze flickered to him, her smile not quite reaching her eyes. "Same as you too,"
Liar.
A heavy exhale left him before he admitted, "I'm glad you're talking to me again."
You hesitated, then let out a soft chuckle. "There was never a reason for me not to,"
But before he could fully take in your words, his chest tightened, and the question heâd been trying to ignore for months slipped past his lips.
His voice dropped lower, rawer. "Yâknow, about what happened four monâ"
"Bakugou," she cut him off gently. Her voice wasnât cold, wasnât angryâjust calm. Resigned. "Itâs okay,"
He stared at you, feeling something in him sink.
"Itâs all in the past now."
"I mean it," you continued, voice soft but steady. "Iâm not mad. I donât hate you. You donât have to explain anything."
Katsuki stared at you, something heavy settling in his chest. Â "Butâ"
"Iâve moved on," you cut him off gently. "You should too"
His fingers curled into fists. "Youâre just gonna act like it didnât matter? Likeâ"
"Of course it mattered," you interrupted again, your voice barely above a whisper. "But what good does talking about it do now?"
He swallowed hard, looking away.
You stood up, brushing off your clothes like this was just another ordinary conversation. Like this didnât feel like a knife twisting deeper into his chest.
"I should get going," you said, offering him one last sweet smile. "Take care, Bakugou"
And then you walked away.
His body felt cemented to the bench.
Itâs okay.
Itâs all in the past now.
Then why the hell did it still feel like he was the only one who couldn't move on?
Why can't he still accept the fact that they're gone?
"I CAN'T FUCKING UNDERSTAND!"
The sharp crack of glass meeting wood echoed through the dimly lit bar as Katsuki slammed his beer bottle down. His grip was tight, knuckles white with frustration. Across from him, Kirishima watched, exhaling heavily as he debated between knocking some sense into his best friend or just letting him self-destruct.
In the end, his patience won.
"Bakugou," Kirishima started, voice firm but calm. "Weren't you the one who broke up with her? The one who cut off all contact? The one who turned cold? Who backed away first? Hell, you even changed your damn number."
He met Bakugouâs glare head-on. "Now, tell meâare you even asking the right question?"
Katsuki's jaw clenched, his hands curling into fists. "What the fuck are you trying to say?" He exhaled sharply, rubbing the back of his neck in irritation. "Iâm sick of your damn mind games, shitty hair."
Kirishima scoffed, shaking his head. "You." He pointed at him. "Why are you so affected? What do you want? For her to be miserable? For her to crawl back to you, crying over something you ended?" His voice was steady but edged with frustration.
"She loved you. You loved her. You fell out of loveâor at least thatâs what you told yourself. You left. She moved on. Thatâs it, Bakubro. Thatâs the story."
But the weight of those words felt unbearable. Katsuki swallowed, his throat dry, the ache in his chest growing heavier. His voice wavered, quieter this time.
"Then why⊠does our ending look like this?"
His fingers twitched as he stared down at the table, his pride and pain warring inside him.
"Wouldn't there be⊠a part two?"
Silence stretched between them. Kirishimaâs expression softened, his frustration fading into something more understanding.
"Bakugou..." Kirishima calmly said. "I'm not the one that you should ask."
Katsuki stared blankly at the condensation dripping from his beer bottle, his grip loosening as Kirishimaâs words sank in.
"Thatâs not a question I can answer for you."
Then who the hell could?
His chest felt too tight, like he couldnât breathe.
âTch.â He scoffed, pushing the bottle aside. âFuck this.â
Kirishima sighed, leaning forward. âBakugouââ
âShut up.â Katsuki stood abruptly, the chair scraping against the floor. His movements were stiff, tense, like he was barely holding himself together. âI need some fucking air.â
Kirishima didnât stop him. He just watched as his best friend stormed out of the bar, shoulders stiff, jaw clenched, and heart heavier than heâd ever admit.
The night air was cold against his flushed skin, but Katsuki barely felt it. His mind was spinning, replaying everything over and over again.
Your smile.
The way you laughed with that extra.
That guyâwhoever the fuck he wasâwalking beside you like he belonged there.
He ran a hand through his hair, gripping it tight, frustration bubbling up inside him like an explosion waiting to happen.
"Why does it fucking hurt?" He muttered to himself, voice hoarse.
He was the one who let her go.
He was the one who walked away.
So why did it feel like she was the one who left him behind?
Before he even realized it, his feet were already moving, his body acting on instinct. He wasnât thinkingâhe just needed to do something.
He needed to see her.
Even if it was a mistake.
Even if it was already too late.
