His head slowly cocks to the side, attention ever fixed upon the young man before him as if his gaze is a glue, tirelessly remaining attached to whomever it sets upon. “Forgive me if I’m presuming too much saying this, Shigaraki.” His voice isstill level, a slow sigh rolling from behind an infamously-beaked mask, once-twined hands now liberated to gesture towards his company – “But you speak as if you’re second guessing my intentions.”

Hari’s life is made of this. Unlike Chisaki and some other villains, Hari ended up stockpiling emotions under a facade that consists on more emotions. The best way to describe this would be like an onion. What most people see by the way he acts and says is the outer layer, and sometimes they can peel it out a bit, but it takes work to get to his core. Once you get there, you see that he hides a lot of fear and anxiety about his work and his place in the yakuza, along with deep devotion towards Chisaki - so deep that it scares him.

a lot of things in his reception are deliberate. true and prominent is resignation, the rest is his to harbor. none of it is known to the league successor, nor should be. but the prospect does, however, rise as a concern ; one more secret hid under his supine exterior. because he might be apt at guarding these things, but his home? how reflective is the white paint on these walls, how many details can be read like a journal? 

he eyes the gaunt, dripping man in his genkan. he’s got to roll with it now--- but that’s what he’s best at. a thumb is pointed to the side, a clear direction spoken; “ straight to the washroom, mop. ” then, with a cock of his chin, he addresses the soaked cloth clinging to his skeletal frame. “ hang those there n’ change. i’ll borrow. wait a sec. ”

his place is tiny but uncluttered. it doesn’t take long to fetch everything--- a few barefoot steps on laminate, sliding of a cabinet, shuffles, rewind--- and a stack is held out, belt on top. 

“ no whinin’ about them not fitting. and if you ash anythin’ i’ll roast you black. otherwise, welcome. be my guest, mops. ”

his hands retract into the loose pockets of his jeans, and he stands back ( he has questions, but they can wait ) to watch the other, fish for any visible trails of thoughts--- is this anything you expected? everything is tidy, organized ( he’s used to it. he couldn’t live with less ) with an eye to small comforts--- finished tea and comic books next to his futon. telling details like his reading glasses on the counter. black dye on the edge of his small bathtub, bleach to keep it clean. medical supplies stacked there in the cabinet. mechanical guidebooks for different vehicles stacked away. an acoustic guitar in one corner.

waiting for tomura, he leaves water to heat on the stove. he then snatches the lone instrument, flops down on his futon and starts playing.

Who would have thought the individual that had caught his eye walking through the crowds would turn out to be a League of Villain member and its current leader. This is an opportunity that shouldn’t be wasted as taking down the head would help to boast public morale of heroes. Also ease some of the fears that have been slowly rising since All Might’s retirement. Kugo was glad he wait for him to move away from the crowds before speaking.  

“Did you really think you could move freely without all current heroes being on the lookout for you and your members considering all the trouble you all have caused. It’s time to pay for your crimes.”

CENSORIOUSLY, OVERHAUL KNITS HIS eyebrows, stare as scalding as fire hitting his guest with deadly precision, a slow exhale rolling from his nostrils. The antsy nature of Shigaraki will always be something the yakuza disapproves of, perhaps shown by the rather disconnected expression engraved upon his face ( as if of marble statue, distance almost always lurking in lifeless eyes ) combating the curl of lip forming on Tomura ( so wry, as if carrying mischief wherever it went ).

In all honesty, he despises it – but then again, his company truly does present himself in juvenile air. It’s shocking enough that his organization ( dare he even call such a chaotic bunch that term? ) has survived for so long, shroud in disarray and chaos, no less with such impressive number. He’d pin it on sheer luck, nothing more.

“Not ‘who’ –” A slow answer, thoughtfully tasted in his lips, leaning back upon plush seating, a lazy wave of hand to emphasize his correction – “but ‘what’. That would be more accurate terminology.” A tilt of head, glimmer of eye. “The only thing I’d like to pierce a bullet through, as you say, is justice. Morality – or, at least, the skewed perception of how most everyone sees it. Integrated corruption resting in civilization must be cleansed.”

No longer does amusement linger in his tongue – tone dropped, a low voice pouring from a hidden mouth with eerie apathy. “Destruction, in this sense, is necessary – I think you and I both can agree that society’s current state is in desperate need for reformation.”
