BRAD THOMAS Brad’s US Army career spanned twenty years, starting at 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment in the early 90’s before taking the “long walk” and becoming an operator with 1st SFOD-D (Delta Force). He joined Robert Gowin, John Waters, and Chris VanSant on Episode 280. Brad describing the first photo: hanging with #theman - I was fortunate enough to meet and engage with Gen. Wayne A. Downing 3 times in two years. In Mogadishu, we talked for a few minutes outside the hangar and he told me to quit smoking. I told him I would quit when the bullets stopped flying. A little less than a year later, I met him at the back of my aircraft headed to Haiti for the big invasion (that never happened). I was one of the jump masters for the combat jump and had finished rigging and JMPI’ing everyone on the bird and was out back firing up lung rocket when he rolled up in a vehicle and told me we were on a 24 hour delay... and then said “hey SGT Thomas I thought I told you to quit smoking” - I was surprised he remembered me from Mogadishu. Have you built a #retro blaster? #Repost @mr_tactical_pants ・・・ Some OG, GWOT trap lord sexiness. This is how far along I am with my circa 2002-2004 CAG M4A1 clone. There are a few discrepancies, but it's a relatively close representation of what the door kickers were being issued in those days. To name a few inaccuracies, I have a 16 inch barrel, and my receivers are not made by Colt. Once this barrel has reached the end of it's life, I'll be replacing it with a 14.5 inch SOCOM barrel and permanently attaching a @knightarmco NT4 flash hider. Also, I'm missing a PEQ-2, which isn't a huge necessity at this point, as I haven't yet acquired NODs. Something about priorities. The last thing that irks me slightly is the buttpad. I've seen photos of this type being used "in the wild", but I'd much rather have a John Masen pad. They're like unicorns, since airsofters are buying all of them.
