#1stALERT via @theasktaninitiative : This is Ms. Iris A. Medina aka the "Living Angel" of our campaign this year. She has a disease called "Biliary Atresia" (look it up) and was operated on with the "Kasai Procedure" at CHLA on Aug. 24th 2018. The procedure worked GREAT... but baby Iris' liver was too far damaged already. So, she and her family have been in AND out of #CHLA for 5 months of her 7 month life! She's currently on the transplant list. UPDATE 02/11/2019 : SHE GOT HER TRANSPLANT Y'all!!! It's a tough road ahead, but she's on her way! Love + Prayer + Dr. Skills work!!! Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers in the coming weeks and months. We BELiEVE she will be 1500% better with NO problems, cause the Medina family LOVES all their kids HARD!!!
