Hiii I don’t know if you write these type of things but could you write a fluff where reader and Logan have a baby girl and their planning their birthday party with some of the X-men? Thanks!!
Planning for the baby girl’s 1st birthday party
☆⋆。𖦹°‧★ Logan Howlett x Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: I kinda divided scenes into 2 scenarios and made the baby girl almost 1 year old! I hope that was okay, love! Enjoy!
·:*¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨*:· ·:*¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨*:· ·:*¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨*:·
Preparations for the Cake:
“Would it be a cliche if we decided on strawberry cake since we’re throwing a birthday party for a baby girl?”
This was an important question asked by Rogue, who tasked herself with baking the cake.
You looked at Logan with an inquisitive look. This first birthday party for your child was sincerely important and as much as you wanted to throw a classic first birthday party, you somehow did not want to turn classic into typical.
“She does make a point, Logan.” You noted, putting a finger on your chin as you started brewing deep thoughts on a question Logan thought didn’t need much pondering.
“Doll, it’s not like she’s gonna remember the taste of her first birthday cake,” he chuckled lightly, hoping you wouldn’t take that comment seriously by any chance.
What he got in return was you, trying your best to pull off a serious look, but the corners of your mouth said something else. “You are definitely not getting any cake! AT ALL!”
Logan took a step closer, playing a better game than you with a better serious look. “Is that right, darl?”
As he was towering over you, unsure of whether to kiss you or just keep making you flustered, Rogue, forgetting about her two parent figures being right in front, made a really, really bad fake cough sound.
“Can’t you two continue that later? In your bedroom? I really need to know what to bake! Don’t you guys want to taste it out before the party?”
“Strawberry’s fine, Marie,” Logan murmured, planting a soft kiss on your forehead and breaking eye contact between the two of you to give a small nod to his daughter figure.
The decorations:
“Oh, aren’t these balloons just the cutest!” You said in awestruck.
Storm and Jean came back from shopping around town, buying all sorts of decorations from balloons, banners, balloons shaped into letters, etc.
They let you and Logan walk around the living room of the mansion alone, strategizing where to place all the newly-bought decorations.
Using your powers, you started floating around the room, drafting placements for the balloons first, placing them around the wall that included the fireplace while Logan was pumping air into the rest of the balloons.
As you placed some tape on the balloons, you heard a loud pop, followed by a loud, “SHIT!”, and… followed by another loud pop and same curse.
You looked down to the ground, seeing Logan standing with agitation on his face. He was looking around the two balloons he popped, now onto you as you flew towards him.
“Logan, hey,” you landed, walking to him, “Are you alright?”
You placed your hands on his face, cupping him with a concerned look on his face.
“Yeah, I think I made the balloons too big and they suddenly popped after that.”
It seemed Logan felt bad about the two wasted balloons. He looked down and muttered a small sorry, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.
A small chuckle came out of your mouth, adoring your ‘tough guy’ significant other act so unease about such a small issue. “They were just two balloons, Logan,” you assured him, “How ‘bout I take over pumping out the last balloons for now and you can place the ready ones around, yeah?”
Logan expressed tenderness, smiling at his loved one and planting a short but loving kiss on your lips.
He turned around, picking up the balloons and placing them beside the ones you placed.
Before he could place more, he looked over to you as you were pumping air into the balloons and said, “Hey,” he said, getting your attention, “How’d I get so lucky?”
There was a twinkle in your eye as you heard his question, “You already know my answer, Logan.”
Logan turned around again, now smiling from ear to ear to himself, still unable to process the fact that he got an amazing woman by his side, and now.. an amazing little piece of him and his woman in the form of a dear baby girl.
Whether he was nonchalant about it or not, he’s been dying to throw his baby girl the best birthday party he and his significant other could ever give.

⛥ ⛥ ⛥
the late, late night of may 1st was spent alone in the kitchen. you were so graciously baking your best friend sam a beautiful birthday cake.
since arriving to the bunker and having a ginormous kitchen all to yourselves, you thought it’d be a great idea to start baking and cooking again. being on the road, hunting monsters, you never got the chance to cook or bake. the only cooking you ever did was heating up some frozen dinners for everyone from the store.
not that you minded, sometimes they were good; but nothing, nothing, ever beats a home cooked meal. and to top it all off, homemade dessert.
that’s why when you all settled into the bunker, you went on a big grocery spree and bought almost everything in the store.
the very first meal you cooked was fettuccine alfredo with chicken. something your mother used to make all the time when you were younger and have loved ever since.
when sam and dean walked into the kitchen they couldn’t help but notice the divine aroma.
“‘m my god, what’s that smell,” dean asked searching around for what could be it.
you moved out of the way of the stove to show them a view of the food, “it’s fettuccine alfredo and chicken. it’s almost ready, fo you two wanna set the table?”
they both nodded with enthusiasm, getting plates and forks and knives and set them on the table nearby.
the noodles, sauce, and chicken were finally done and incorporated. you took the pan and a large spoon to scoop it with and headed over to the boys who looked like they were about to start eating from the pan. as soon as the food hit their plates they wasted no time digging in. you chuckled as you watched them almost eat it whole.
that night marked the start of some of the best food sam and dean had eaten.
so now you were baking and decorating the most extravagant looking cake for the man you were secretly in love with.
you don’t know when it happened but something changed and you no longer wanted to just be friends; you wanted more. more than just a quick side hug when celebrating, more than just high fives. you wanted whole, endearing hugs; you wanted to interlink hands and never let go.
the cake you were baking you surly knew sam would like. it’s his favorite cake flavor and a beautiful frosting color. you even added ruffled borders on the top and bottom and near perfect lettering on the top. this cake was made with love.
it was 11:49 pm when you finished and you had flour in your hair, frosting on your shirt, and excess batter on the counter. the cake was put in the fridge to chill over night and the kitchen was finally cleaned 10 minutes later. you quickly showered before hopping into bed with a small smile on your face knowing your best friend would be so happy with everything.
morning came and you and dean had to be the first ones up to set out everything. dean went out to buy balloons (that you and dean so tiresomely blew up) and banners to hand from the walls. he also set out the few presents the two of you bought, even after sam said he didn’t want anything (you both knew you were gonna buy him something anyways), and you set out the cake with the candles, lighting the fee of them up.
sam walked into the kitchen rubbing his eyes. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!” he jumped at the two of you screaming.
after his scare went away, his eyes lit up like a child at their very own birthday. he rushed over to you thanking the both of you for doing this. he glanced at the cake, “did you make this?”
“with love,” you nodded.
“make a wish, brother,” dean patted his back. sam closed his eyes thinking, he knew exactly what we was going to wish for. he bent down slightly and blew out the candles. you didn’t bother with making breakfast because you knew cake for breakfast would excite anyone.
sam was very giddy to open up his presents. he was ever so thankful for the few new flannels, nice watch, and a new belt you guys gave him.
the three of you sat in the movie room and watched a bunch of old movies. sam has grown very fond of old films. he likes western ones the most.
it was getting late and dean decided that he’d had enough of movies and was feeling sleepy.
now it was just you and sam, on the couch, in the movie room, alone.
the movie was at a slow part, just the main two characters talking in an old western barn.
“did you have a good day?” you turned to sam.
he looks over at you, he loves that smile on your face. “i had probably one of the best days ever. that cake? phenomenal, probably the best thing you’ve baked.”
you blushed and looked down. after a moment of silence you looked up again, sam still looking at you, “what’d you wish for?”
“i cant tell you that,” he chuckled.
“c’mon,” you dragged out.
“no, i can’t!”
“please, for me” queue the big puppy dog eyes.
how could he resist those eyes? “fine, but you can’t get upset.”
why would you get upset?
sams heart is racing. “i wished for you.”
“me?”
“mhm, you.”
“wh- i- why me?”
“because you’re all i’ve ever wanted.”
you were speechless. “sam, i-”
“you don’t have to say anything, it’s okay.”
the saddened look on his face broke you’re heart. “listen to me sam,” you started to smile. “i feel the same way. i mean it when i said that cake was made with love.”
a smile grew on his face. “can i kiss you now?”
it felt like you couldn’t breathe, “yeah,” it came out as a whisper.
sam gently cupped one side of your face as he drew in closer. his lips brushed yours before he fully smashed his lips to yours.
you’ve dreamed on this moment for a while. it was more than you could’ve ever imagined. his lips were soft. he tasted slightly of whiskey that the three of you sipped on earlier and it was perfect.
“my birthday wish finally came true,” sam says just above a whisper.
“good, i’m glad.” you smiled.
the two of you fell asleep on the couch with the old western movie quietly playing in the background. both you and sam fell asleep with a smile on your face in each others arms.

Never Grow Up pt 4
May 5, 2013
When Shoko stepped through the doors an hour ago, the first thing she noticed was the absence of her friend’s apartment’s sleek and contemporary interior design intertwined with the clutter of domestic life.
Gojo (or should she say, the people he hired) had transformed the entire open-concept living space into a party venue decorated meticulously in celebration of his daughter’s first birthday.
Plastered all over what used to be a blank space across the dining table was a wall of streamer ribbons and balloons. Sizeable cardboard-cutout white and gold English letters artfully arranged to spell ‘Happy 1st Birthday, Satsuki!’ stood out. Pinned around it were various print-out pictures of Satsuki throughout her 1st year, ranging from the silliest solo shots to pictures of her with groups of people. And adjacent to the background was a buffet table laden with food for the party guests.
Shoko couldn’t say that she was surprised…
This was exactly the sort of thing Gojo would be into.
And that fact was never more apparent than the cheerful music blaring throughout the room, the party games that Gojo’s students enjoyed, and the dancing Sesame Street mascots hired to entertain the birthday girl.
The man looked like he was enjoying every second of it too — if his smiles and raucous laughter were anything to go by.
She hadn’t heard him or seen him like that in a long time…
Shoko would never claim to know Gojo as closely as his former lover or Geto did, but throughout the years, she had been a front-row observer to Gojo’s notable moments — from his fiendish grins with every antic he and Geto pulled to the haunting emptiness in his eyes when he lost people he treasured.
Perhaps now, she could add overflowing fatherly pride and joy to the list.
He was every inch the picture of a doting father to a bubbly baby girl. His mini-me was busy giggling and clapping and shrieking at the excitement while she stayed in Tsumiki’s arms, little pale head turning this way and that.
The better part of the event was spent playing party games while Gojo squandered away his money in the form of cash prizes, followed by everyone singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to a squealing Satsuki, before eventually winding down a little to enjoy the food and the beverages.
Shoko’s fingers twitched at her side, itching for the sweet relief of a cigarette between her fingers and the sensation of smoke filling her lungs, but unfortunately being part of a kid’s party meant the absence of alcohol or any other vice. There was something oddly comforting about being a stationary adult in the middle of a chaotic children’s party.
“So,” Gojo crooned as he sidled up next to her on the couch, “How’re you enjoying the party?”
“Could use some alcohol.”
He snorted at her joking response. “What kind of adult are you? Setting a horrible example for a child.”
“She’s a year old. She wouldn’t know what I’m saying, neither is she here.” Shoko sighed and let her gaze drift from the gaggle of Gojo’s students congregating around the gurgling toddler to Principal Yaga, Ijichi, and the other adult guests who conversed over plates piled high with food.
The extravagance wasn’t lost on her.
When Gojo said he pulled out all the stops for this first birthday celebration, he really did.
Never mind the party decorations, the mascots, the prizes for the games, and the buffet. No practical parent concerned about budgeting would think of ordering a custom-made two-tier birthday cake slathered in white and gold buttercream frosting with gold leaves on it, and another smaller white and gold cake commissioned solely for its own destruction at a toddler’s lawless hands.
“Did you really have to get her a smash cake?”
Gojo followed her gaze, ethereal blue eyes landing on the image of his daughter on her playmat. The cake smashing and the happy birthday song was long done, but Satsuki wasn’t finished demolishing what was left of the dessert. His students cheered her on as the Fushiguro siblings stood by. Hell, even Megumi was taking pictures with Tsumiki’s phone.
“Why not? She’s clearly enjoying herself.” Gojo’s smile widened even further if that was possible, blue eyes peeking over the rims of his blackout glasses. “It’s also cute.”
It was hard to disagree. The once beautifully decorated cake had been reduced to a pile of chiffon crumbs covered in buttercream and scattered sugar flowers. “If you were any other person, I’d tell you to worry about the mess it’s making on your floor, but then again…”
Shoko let her statement hang as she smirked at the mess around the playmat and the bits of frosted cake and confetti that clung to the baby’s head. Yeah, it was cute, but it couldn’t be easy to clean, right?
Gojo waved a flippant hand in her direction. “You sound like my mom… and Satsuki’s other grandmother.”
Right… The biological members of Satsuki’s family were all invited. It didn’t mean they all came though. There was no legal contract or binding ritual that ever officially tied Satoru to his deceased lover, so his relationship with his former girlfriend’s parents was only cordial enough to allow their presence in his daughter’s life. His former lover’s father didn’t want anything to do with Gojo and skipped this party, but the maternal grandmother was there.
The drama that the situation implied was quite riveting — watching grandmothers going out of their way to avoid one another. Gojo’s apartment was spacious, but Shoko would wager it wasn’t enough space for the clan head’s mother.
The woman was spoiled to the luxuries that her massive estate afforded her.
As much as she cared about her friend, Gojo’s complicated family situation was a mess she did not want to be in the crossfire of.
“Speaking of grandmothers, how are they holding up?”
“No one’s fighting, so…” Gojo shrugged and trailed off.
“Looks like they’re doing a good job avoiding each other. I don’t know your mom like you do, but she looks like she’s taking it well.”
The clan head’s vigilant gaze drifted to his esteemed mother, engaged in a conversation with Principal Yaga. In the rare times Shoko had actually seen her, the woman had always been decked out in an outfit ensemble similar to Utahime’s — a tasteful mix of traditional garb and formal corporate attire. She had ditched that now though, in favor of a knee-length corporate A-line dress that looked like it belonged in a high-stakes wealthy family drama sitcom.
“Oh believe me, she’s being as polite as she can. I’d put the two of them in a room to see what happens again, but that’s a pain to deal with.”
“You’re ridiculous.”
“Not ridiculous, just curious.” Shoko spied the shit-eating grin unfurling on her friend’s face and she shook her head at him.
“Curiosity killed the cat…”
“But satisfaction brought it back.”
“That never made sense to me.”
“It should, since you’re an expert at Reverse Cursed Technique and all. I would—”
“Gojo!” Tsumiki’s excited cry pierced through the music and through their conversation.
The collective expressions of eagerness and elation swept through the room of party guests as all heads turned at the sound of Tsumiki’s voice and towards the party’s center of attention: Satsuki on unsteady feet, wobbling where she stood without any support for once, placing one hesitant foot in front of the other.
And would you look at that?
A soft smile caused the corners of Shoko’s lips to turn up again. She tossed a quick glance at Gojo and found him bare-faced, blackout glasses tucked into the collar of his shirt as he marveled at his daughter’s determination.
It was nice watching Gojo bask in his paternal happiness, and that was a fact that shone as stark as the smile he sported as they watched one step turn to two, then three…
“Holy shit, she’s walking.”
=OoOoO=
“Holy shit, she’s walking.”
His own voice barely registered in his ears. Because holy shit holy shit holy shit, Satsuki was walking.
Previous experience taught him to not get too excited. For the last 2 months, his daughter had been steadily building up the strength in her legs in anticipation of taking her first steps. Shoko and Satsuki’s other pediatrician had both pointed out that she was an active baby. If she wasn’t babbling and talking a lot, she was rolling and crawling and most recently, she had been propping herself up on furniture — little feet pittering and pattering in place while she worked up the courage to let go and just try to walk.
But this… This was worlds different.
The months of tummy time and constantly switching positions had all culminated into this.
She was walking.
She was actually walking.
She’d taken four steps more than her usual combination of standing and falling.
Her party guests cheered her on, her grandmothers had rare smiles on their faces, and some of his students clapped enthusiastically to the unsteady rhythm of her walk. But Satoru, for all the power of his uncovered eyes, could only focus on the intense look of concentration on her tiny face, on her slightly wobbly legs, on her tiny feet slowly but surely approaching him, on the sound of her small voice as she mumbled, ‘Da-da’ under her breath.
And how could he not encourage her and coax her?
He’d left his place beside Shoko and knelt on the floor, placing himself directly in his daughter’s path, arms outstretched — ready to catch her the moment she would inevitably fall forward, icing-slathered face and hands and all.
The buttercream frosting could stain his expensive clothes for all he cared.
His baby was walking!
Two more unsteady steps before gravity won and a giggling baby girl tumbled into her father’s secure and steady arms.
With unrestrained pride and joy coursing through his veins, Satoru hopped to his feet with Satsuki between his hands, only stopping short of throwing her into the air to catch her again as he grinned and cooed unabashedly, peppering her chubby cheeks with playful kisses that made her squeal with laughter.
“You did it, Princess! That’s my little girl.”
 =OoOoO=
His baby girl’s first birthday party ended early in the evening.
After leaving the after party cleanup to a crew he’d hired and entrusting Megumi and Tsumiki’s well-being to Satsuki’s nannies (even if the siblings were beyond capable of looking after themselves at this point), Satoru left the apartment with his daughter with nary a word to the children or his employees.
Still, he knew that they knew where he would be headed, and he was grateful that none of them brought it up.
He couldn’t let the day pass by without making one last and most special tribute.
To fill the silence that blanketed the entire cemetery, the sorcerer hummed a familiar nursery rhyme under his breath. He had a duffel bag slung over his shoulder. One hand carried a bag of goodies, while the other held the back of his daughter’s head. She was nestled into the carrier that he’d strapped to his front, lulled to sleep by the steady thump of her father’s heartbeat and the excitement of a birthday party.
He had wanted her awake for this specific excursion, but there was no helping her own exhaustion.
Apparently new toys, smash cakes, and Sesame Street mascots provided the perfect combination to knock out a usually active toddler.
Perhaps the gentle breeze and the oddly tranquil atmosphere of a quiet cemetery also contributed to the languorous quality of the place.
Staying on the pathway lit by street lamps and moonlight, father and daughter arrived at last, and Satoru let a sad smile grace his lips as he crouched in front of the marbled stone under a pale weeping cherry blossom tree in full bloom.
With Satsuki safely tucked against the warmth of his body, Satoru carefully unloaded the duffel bag of most of its contents. A slice of the two-tier birthday cake, assorted kikufuku from the party, candles, incense, a bottle of water, and two small white-and-gold balloons. The fresh bouquet of seasonal flowers and carnations came last, lovingly placed beside a stuffed animal her parents probably left her.
A heavy sigh left his lips as he sat on the grass and gently brushed clammy fingers against the equally cold stone. Slipping his glasses off of his face, he tucked the lenses into the collar of his shirt as he let the power of his uncovered eyes take in every inch of detail on the marbled stone — from the tiniest chips to the worn-out spots and to places caked with small patches of moss.
Her final resting place…
If it had been up to him, he would have scattered her ashes somewhere more open — on mountaintops or by the sea; places she always loved visiting and often told him about.
Sometimes it was hard to believe that a full year had finally passed.
One year since the arrival of his greatest blessing and the departure of his greatest love.
She would have loved planning and celebrating Satsuki’s first birthday.
She would have been here — smiling and laughing with the rest of them.
“Hey, Love.” Hoarse and quiet. He deliberately ignored the way his own voice sounded strange to his ears. “Our baby girl started walking today. She had fun smashing her first cake too.”
Maybe he would have Tsumiki put together a digital photo album of that memorable occasion. She had managed to snag plenty of pictures and video footage — especially one where Satsuki took her first steps too, and it was cute… Way too cute. Satsuki’s mother would have loved to see that. The very thought took him back to quiet nights like this where he’d lain in bed beside the woman he loved and eagerly watched and listened as she stroked the gentle swell of her womb while fantasizing about the life Satsuki would live — the primary school her daughter would attend, the places they would visit, her first words, her inevitable temper tantrums, her toothy grins, her place in her father’s family.
She had loved her daughter before the girl was ever born.
It sucked that she never even got to hold their baby girl, never mind fulfilling all the dreams she had for their little princess.
Satsuki suddenly hiccuped in her sleep, drawing Satoru out of his musings. He was chuckling as he brushed the back of his fingers along her chubby cheek.
“She’s messy and funny and brilliant and everything you hoped she would be. It’s only been a year, but… she’ll only get better and better I’m sure. You are her mommy, after all. Party tired her out, so now she’s just sleeping.”
With a gentleness he often forgot that he had, Satoru stroked Satsuki’s hair, fondly twirling loose white curls around his fingers. Her hair wasn’t this long months ago. Tsumiki was fond of tying her hair into tiny pigtails now.
Already a year old… Where had the time gone?
Satoru kissed the top of his daughter’s head and let his eyes wander over the grave marked with his Love’s name.
A fond yet bittersweet smile graced his lips once again. Losing his Love and being reminded of that loss will never not hurt. There was an empty space in his heart where she used to be, and though he would never delude himself into thinking he would ever be a whole person again, there was still some comfort and happiness and a greater sense of purpose to be had than just being the strongest when he knew someone well and truly needed him.
“Thank you for everything, Love. Thank you for bringing ‘Tsuki into the world for us.”
Maybe he would get to see his Love again someday.
But until then, he would love and care for their daughter just like he promised her.

Steve and Grace's apartment was decorated with care: blue and red balloons hung from the ceiling, white star streamers adorned the walls, and a large banner with gold lettering read “Happy Birthday, Steve.” How in recent years Steve was certainly the center of attention, even on a day that should have been shared.
Grace and Steve had always shared their birthdays, it had been a tradition since they were children. However, since Steve had become Captain America, it seemed that tradition had leaned more towards Steve. It wasn't that Grace resented it; but sometimes, just sometimes, she wished someone would remember that it was his day too.
As the others congratulated Steve, Grace just smiled shyly as she watched her brother take center stage.
“Happy birthday, Cap! “said Tony, raising the bottle. This is something special, just for you.
“Thank you, Tony! “Steve smiled as he took the bottle, but his eyes searched the crowd for Grace. Hey, Grace, do you want to open your present now?
Grace held up her hand, trying to pull away, she knew there was no gift for her.
“It's okay, Steve. Don't worry about me. This is yours.
Steve frowned, but before he could say anything, Clint and Natasha pulled him toward the head table where the cake, decorated with a Captain America shield, sat.
Grace sighed. She watched as the candles on the cake were lit and as everyone present began to sing “Happy Birthday, Steve.” Just Steve, there was nothing of Grace.
Finally, Grace couldn't take it anymore; she slipped out onto the balcony. She needed air, she needed to be alone, she rested her hands on the railing and let the cool evening breeze caress her face. And that's when she made a decision, she took the fire escape, she would go to the only place where she knew no one would look for her.
She plopped down in front of her mother's grave, as she took a deep breath, she tried to make the lump in her throat go away, she didn't want to cry.
“Are you all right? “Brock snapped her out of her thoughts.
Grace turned around, surprised to see him there, she remembered seeing him at the party and was sure no one had followed her.
“I'm fine,” Grace replied, though her voice was shaking a little. "I just needed some air. "
Brock nodded but didn't look convinced. He took a step closer to her, she was also a bad liar like Steve.
“Don't you want to go back to the party? “he asked, watching Grace carefully.
Grace bit her lower lip, feeling the tears threatening to escape. She didn't want to cry, not in front of him. Not in front of anyone. But Brock's question made her feel more vulnerable and sensitive than she already was.
“I just... I don't know,” she finally admitted. "Sometimes it's hard being someone like Steve's sister. Everyone else seems to forget that I exist too. The only one who never made a difference was Mom. "
Brock didn't answer right away.
“You're not invisible to everyone,” Brock finally commented. You're not to me.
“Thank you, Brock,” Grace murmured, staring at Brock.
“You should be the one having a party for the rest of the day,” he continued. "After all, it's your birthday too, isn't it? What do you say we do something more fun than staying here?"
“What do you have in mind? “she asked, completely surprised.
Brock smiled and offered her his hand to help her up.
“Trust me, Grace. This day is just for you."
Without wasting any more time, Brock guided her out of the cemetery, then led her to his motorcycle. Grace had never been a fan of motorcycles, but something was exciting about the idea of getting on one with Brock.
“Here you go,” Brock said, handing her a helmet.
She didn't know where Brock was taking her, but for the first time all day, Grace felt excited.
Finally, Brock slowed down and turned onto a small street, parked the motorcycle in front of a store she had never seen before on her tours of the city.
“Here? “Grace asked, looking at Brock with wide eyes.
“Here,” he confirmed.
They went inside, although Grace was a little skeptical.
“Mr. Rumlow, what a pleasure to see you again,” said the manager. "How can I help you today? "
Grace looked at Brock with surprise, realizing he was familiar with the place. How many times had he been there before?
“It's Grace's birthday today,” Brock said. "I want her to be treated like the princess she is. "
“Of course. Miss Grace, please come with me. We have a selection of dresses that I'm sure you will love. "
Grace hesitated for a moment, but Brock's gaze convinced her to go ahead. The woman led her to a section of the boutique where dresses hung on golden racks. Grace could hardly believe that all those dresses were there, available for her to choose from.
“This is...stunning,” Grace commented.
“Choose whatever you want,” said Brock, approaching her. "There are no limits. "
After all, how many times in her life had Grace had a chance to feel like a princess?
She began to examine the dresses, until finally, her eyes fell on a dress that made her pause. The dress was an emerald color, with a sweetheart neckline.
“This... I think this is the one,” Grace murmured, pointing to the dress.
“It's perfect,” Brock commented.
The woman in the store took the dress and led Grace to the fitting room, inviting Grace to follow her.
Once inside, Grace changed, feeling the soft silk glide over her skin. When she came out of the fitting room, she looked at herself in the large mirror.
“You look... amazing,” Brock murmured.
Grace felt herself blush slightly under the intense gaze, but instead of feeling uncomfortable, she felt... beautiful, for the first time in her life.
“And now? “she asked.
“Now let's make sure you feel like the princess you are,” Brock replied, winking at her.
The second stop was the beauty salon next to the boutique, which was already waiting for Grace.
“This is Miss Rogers,” Brock announced. "I want you to take care of her and make her feel like a princess. "
“Just Grace... "
Grace closed her eyes and let them do her hair and makeup.
“You look beautiful, Grace,” Brock said.
“Thank you, Brock. I don't know how to thank you,” Grace replied with a blush.
“I just want you to enjoy your day,” Brock offered her his arm. "Now, how about we go someplace where we can dance? "
Brock led her to an inconspicuous door at the side of the place. The door opened with a soft creak, revealing a narrow hallway leading to a small jazz club.
Brock greeted the attendant with a simple nod.
“This place is... amazing,” Grace murmured, her gaze sweeping over the club. How did you meet him?
Brock smiled as he settled into the chair across from her.
“I have my secrets,” he replied with a wink. But when I discovered this place, I knew that someday I'd have to bring someone special here.
Grace felt herself blushing again, there was just something about the way Brock was looking at her that made her think he was really seeing who she was, meaning he was just looking at Grace.
“Brock, this has been... I've never had a birthday like this. I don't know how to thank you."
“I just wanted you to know how special you are. And that you're not alone, even when you feel like everyone's forgotten you. Would you like to dance with me? "
Grace looked at him for a second, then, without hesitation, took his hand. Brock led her gently to the dance floor, put a hand on her waist and began to lead the dance, as she had never danced before.
Only the music could be heard until finally, Grace dared to break the silence, her voice barely a whisper.
“Brock... why did you do all this for me? "
“Because you deserve it, Grace. Because you're not only Steve's sister, you're so beautiful and unique. "
As they continued to dance, Grace felt the distance between them slowly close, until there was barely any space left between their bodies, she was almost sure she heard Brock's heartbeat.
“Is this a dream? “Grace asked. "Because I feel like I'm in a fairy tale. "
Brock let out a soft laugh.
“It's not a dream, but if it were, I'd like to stay in it forever,” Brock confessed.
“Brock... Are you a Prince Charming?” she murmured, not knowing exactly what she meant.
But before she could find the right words, Brock tilted his head toward her, his forehead brushing Grace's.
“Grace, I don't know if I'm Prince Charming, but I want to be what you need. "
Grace closed her eyes; Brock was even closer.
“That's good enough for me then,” Grace replied, still with her eyes closed.
And before she could say more, Brock closed the distance between them, his lips met hers in a soft kiss.
The kiss was slow, and tender, just as she had always dreamed, maybe if she was in love with Brock and maybe he was in love with her, for the first time, there was someone who really loved her for being her and not Steve's sister. But at that moment, she didn't need answers, she just wanted to lose herself in the feeling of being with someone who understood her completely.
When they finally broke apart, Brock rested his forehead against Grace's, taking a deep breath as he held her close.
“Happy birthday, Grace,” Brock whispered, ”I've liked you since the first time I saw you. "
And for the first time that day, Grace smiled.

Baby El should be a year old right now, right? What did they do for her 1st birthday 🥺
she is! because her birthday is during the hockey season, they were extremely grateful that there didn’t end up being a game that day!
they threw El a ‘BERRY first birthday’ themed party! they had the team and their WAGS over and the dad’s of the team brought their kids! lovie went all out with the decorations, with a multi-shaded pink balloon arch and pink streamers. she even made jars of homemade strawberry jelly as little party favors to give to the team.
Jack was in awe of how much lovie did!
for the most part, it was kinda just them hanging out with the team because…. El doesn’t really do much playing at this age. she kinda just waddled around the house, following the bigger kids around and screeching in laughter when any of the adults would chase her around and pick her up.
but they did cake and presents, and in pure Hughes fashion, she absolutely tore into her little pink strawberry flavored smash cake! and when jack and lovie were taking photos with her in her highchair, all messy with the cake, el grabbed a piece of cake and fed it to lovie. now that picture is jack’s lockscreen.
el also grabbed jack’s face with her frosting hands, which made lovie laugh so hard that jack chased her around the kitchen to try and rub his face against hers

The decorations and balloon animals and face paint are sort of giving kids birthday party, maybe with a gender reveal thrown in?
I agree, the blue isn’t necessarily hinting towards the gender. I’ll need to see what Darren was wearing to make any sort of judgement but even then there’s really no way of knowing until they announce it.
People thought the blue nail polish they both had in her announcement video was a hint towards boy but that was obviously wrong. They both had blue nail polish on in the hospital photo. I think they both wore blue during her 1st birthday?
Idk when you have a kid name Bluesy you gotta commit to the color blue 😂
We’ll know when we know. They were in NYC for a while, it seems like the majority of their friends are in LA, they probably had a lot to celebrate.
Maybe it's a combination of a party for Bluesy's birthday (She's 2. She doesn't know when a birthday is.) and a baby shower/gender reveal and we are happy to be back in LA party.
Katie posted that she was going to a baby shower, but she hasn't posted a pic from the shower yet. So I don't know if it was Mia's.

HOW TO THROW A PINTEREST-WORTHY PARTY: DECOR TIPS AND TRICKS
Tumblr media
Welcome to the world of party planning! Whether you're organizing a baby shower, a 1st birthday party decorations or celebration, or any special occasion, creating a Pinterest-worthy party with stunning decorations is sure to leave a lasting impression on your guests. In this blog, we'll share some unique and creative decor tips and tricks to help you throw a party that will be the talk of the town. So, let's dive in and get inspired!
Setting the Theme
The first step in planning a Pinterest-worthy party is to choose a captivating theme that resonates with the occasion. Whether it's a whimsical baby shower or a colorful 1st birthday party, select a theme that reflects the guest of honor's personality. Once you have your theme in mind, it becomes easier to curate the perfect decorations that align with the overall aesthetic.
Eye-Catching Invitations
Before your guests arrive, set the tone for your Pinterest-worthy party with beautifully designed invitations. Consider using baby shower cards or birthday party invitations that match your chosen theme. Opt for personalized invitations that incorporate the colors, patterns, and motifs that will be featured in your party decor. This attention to detail will create excitement and anticipation among your guests.
Decorative Focal Points
Create stunning focal points throughout your party space to capture everyone's attention. For a baby shower, an eye-catching dessert table adorned with a decorative backdrop, floral arrangements, and thematic signage will make a memorable impact. When it comes to a 1st birthday party, consider a personalized photo booth area with fun props and a backdrop that complements the theme. These focal points serve as perfect backdrops for capturing Instagram-worthy moments.
DIY Decorations
Inject a personal touch into your party decor by incorporating DIY elements. Get crafty and create handmade banners, garlands, and centerpieces using colorful papers, ribbons, and balloons. DIY decorations not only add a unique charm but also allow you to stay within your budget while showcasing your creativity.
Tablescaping Magic
Transform your party tables into visual feasts with a creative tablescape. Mix and match tablecloths, runners, and napkins in coordinating colors to create a vibrant and cohesive look. Add themed centerpieces, such as adorable baby bottles filled with fresh flowers for a baby shower or personalized photo displays for a 1st birthday party. Don't forget to include table cards and place settings that match the theme for that extra touch of elegance.
Balloon Extravaganza
Balloons are an essential party decoration element that never goes out of style. Take your balloon decor to the next level by incorporating unique shapes, sizes, and colors. Create mesmerizing balloon arches, whimsical balloon garlands, or even balloon ceilings to wow your guests. Add customized balloon arrangements with the guest of honor's name or age for a personalized touch.
Lighting Ambiance
Set the mood and create a Pinterest-worthy atmosphere with carefully curated lighting. Utilize string lights, fairy lights, or lanterns to add a warm and magical glow to your party space. Combine different lighting elements strategically to enhance the ambiance and create an enchanting atmosphere that your guests won't forget.
Thematic Details
Pay attention to the small details that tie your party decor together. Incorporate thematic elements like personalized party favors, themed signage, and custom-made photo booths. These thoughtful touches will leave a lasting impression and make your party stand out from the rest.
Picture-Perfect Photo Opportunities
In today's social media-driven world, no Pinterest-worthy party is complete without providing picture-perfect moments for your guests to capture. Set up a dedicated photo booth area with props, backdrops, and signage that align with your theme. Encourage your guests to strike poses and capture their memories with instant cameras or smartphones. You can even create a unique hashtag for your event, allowing everyone to easily share their photos on social media platforms.
Dessert Delights
Delicious treats not only satisfy the taste buds but can also serve as eye-catching decor pieces. Design a dessert table that showcases mouthwatering sweets, such as beautifully decorated cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and cake pops. Incorporate the colors and theme of your party into the dessert presentation, using themed cake toppers, edible decorations, and customized dessert labels. This enticing display will leave your guests in awe and provide a delightful focal point.
Celebrate Your Events Like a Pro!
Throwing a Pinterest-worthy party is all about infusing creativity, personalization, and attention to detail into your decor. By following these tips and tricks, your baby shower or 1st birthday party decorations will be a visual delight for both you and your guests. Remember to choose a captivating theme, create eye-catching focal points, incorporate DIY elements, and pay attention to small details to make your party truly unforgettable. So, go ahead and let your creativity shine as you prepare to host the party of a lifetime!
