Confession:

I'm really fucking mad about how they did Amon as a villain bc he literally was uplifting the oppressed class of the lok verse. It sucks that they made him so evil and unrelatable just so they could say harharhar communism sucks capitalism ftw. In fact all the villains were a bit like that. At least in atla it was just anti war and anti jmperialism which is great. Like that's what we *should be teaching kids. Lok dropped the ball. Like seriously bryke don't try to go making nuanced discussions of political movements in kids cartoons if ur just gonna turn it into propaganda. Bc while socialism had led to dictatorships, it has also been instrumental in helping common people fight imperial rule to get back their national resources. And they were demonized for it just the same. (Ie all yhe fucked up coups the us did in Latin America and Middle East in the 70-80-90s) (and now too, tbh)

And I also hate how 1d Asami was. Realistically she would've way more empathy for nonbenders bc she was one. Otherwise, it would just read as total self hatred. And I hate how the krew love her more for the fact that she is 100p against a movement that (realistically) was very empowering for her own demographic

Don't get me wrong i love korra bc she is an empowering female character, but sometimes it feels like lok took the same toxic problematic tropes associated with white male protagonists and slapped it on korra. It didn't work well bc she is the privileged white male of her society. So while she might have looked like us or had any of the same labels, it was really hard for her to truly be relatable. And I loved korrasami w all my heart, but im really disappointed we didn't get to see the *yearning and *bi panic and that made it so unsatisfying. Even in the comics. Bc they made shit seem so easy while irl life its really fucking hard if ur a marginalized group.

“I want you to put your hands in the air!”

Her hands were clapping in the air, grinning as she watched the sea of fans copying her actions as Zayn was singing, her head turning to glance at Liam and Louis who were still messing around with water guns. Niall and Harry were giggling on the other side.

All of a sudden, Matty’s skin ran cold and she paused what she was doing. Looking down at her white t-shirt that was now soaking wet. Her arms immediately wrapped around her chest, covering her breasts as she glared over at the two boys with the water guns. Panic began to set in though, as she realised that she had chosen to not wear a bra, and if she moved her hands, she was definitely going to be flashing all five boys and the crowd of fans they were performing in. And then it was her verse to sing.

Matty looked at the boys for some assistance, and it was Niall that took over singing her part. Much to the enjoyment of the fanbase, as Harry walked over to her, his brow furrowed.

“What’s going on, Tea?” He mumbled to her, tucking his mic between his thighs as he cupped her face gently.

“Li and Lou soaked me, white shirt, no bra,” she mumbled shyly, biting down on her lip as she looked up at him. The boys were incredibly used to her and all her feminine products by now. She wasn’t shy about that.

“Ah, shit,” Harry mumbled, nodding his head before he was removing his large overshirt. Carefully helping her to get it on and doing up the buttons on the front. “Is that okay?”

Matty smiled, looking down at the way the shirt completely swamped her body before she was smiling up at him. “Thank you, H.”

He winked at her, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead before he was collecting his mic and running forward for his verse. The moment shared between them wasn’t private, of course. And come morning, there was a new ship name trending.

The idea that if *fill in the blank* is ~too successful with their solo work the band won't come back within the fandom (save the solo stans™) is very strange to me? Like, we complain about people thinking lowly of the band and how the band deserves recognition but a common idea/fear comes from something that stems directly from the idea that boybands are ~lesser and its a ~downgrade for an artist? Especially when so far 1d has not followed the ~post boyband path with all of them having high charting singles, embraces their boybands roots, has no bitterness for each other, doesn't talk about surpassing 1d /eachother and talks surely about coming back together ? Just v strange to me.

Your response to the parasocial relationship anon 👏 ive seen that anon on another blog too, same exact message. Probably a spawn of that zot3 or whatever blog. But i want to say that i really appreciate you being open about your mental health and it makes me feel comfortable being open about mine.

I have really bad anxiety & mild depression mainly in the winter months (east coast ftw). For many people, harry was a safe space for them. They felt the support, they felt heard by their fav and honestly even the support that the fandom has provided people. Over the past year or so there has been a mega shift and not even just because he’s associating himself with olivia who’s not a good person and has hurt many communities, but also feels like he himself has pulled away from his fans considerably and only pops up when he wants people to buy something. The fandom has become increasingly toxic and anxiety inducing. Of the years ive been a fan of 1D and solo harry, this past year has been draining. So many fights ive seen between people, i lost count. I deleted my twitter because being a fan on that platform just wasnt fun anymore. Not for nothing he doesnt use twitter anyway lol. Its just honestly become a lot and i feel like at times even if you yourself arent a bad person, youre really only as good as the people you surround yourself with.

I try to be open! I'm glad it makes you feel comfortable.

Seasonal depression is the worst, and VERY real in a lot of people. You should try a sunlight lamp, or sitting in the sun. It helps, if you haven't tried already.

But yeah there's been huge shift in the fandom. It's a toxic mixture of Harry being distant and Olivia making things uncomfortable. So when you combine the two it seems super overwhelming. It just sucks tbh

and yeah i’d definitely consider writing for it! writing has been tough lately for some reason, plus i have some responsibilities that need to be taken care of, but i do adore writing silly teenagers in love, so i’m definitely adding it to my list <3 

and when it comes to headcanons, here are some that i thought of when drawing certain details of that art, just for you

the switch: they have animal crossing dates. Sirius draws their characters holding hands if he happens to be bored in class. Sirius’s island is decked out in rainbow flags, & Remus’s is kind of chaotic but in a nice, aesthetic way. Sirius ships villagers together

the pin board: there’s photos of Remus with his friends. post it notes. a silly love letter Sirius wrote as a joke one time (think a Victorian love letter but less posh) but Remus always held onto. a sketch of Remus Sirius once drew in class.

the stars: Remus put them up way before they started dating, because sometimes he can’t sleep at night and likes to have some light in his room rather than the dark, which just makes him more anxious. Sirius likes to say they were meant to be together cause Remus is clearly drawn to stars

the backpack: Remus always carries a spare pen for Sirius, because he knows that Sirius will sometimes rush out of his house so quick, he’ll forget to take anything with him. Sirius slips little notes into Remus’s bag - sometimes they’re doodles, sometimes they’re little love notes; Remus has them all saved and glued into an album he’s hidden in his wardrobe. Remus has a bunch of pins and decals on there - including a bi flag, which is the only pride item he owns because he’s not out to his parents. Hope knows, but she waits til he’s ready. 

Sirius: he paints his nails black. always wears a rainbow bracelet (unless he’s home - his parents wouldn’t approve, of course). all the ear piercings he has, he did himself. wore eyeliner once, but his skin turned out very sensitive and he’s allergic to a lot of products, so that was the only time he did it. all of his notebooks have a page on the back dedicated to him drawing a bunch of “S+R” and lots of hearts. listens to Queen and punk pop and rock but also musicals and Ed Sheeran and sappy love songs. had a 1D phase

Remus:  lots of anxiety. slit his eyebrow on impulse but kept it that way. would dye his hair if he had enough of a breakdown. likes to be alone, which Sirius sometimes doesn’t get. briefly dated Lily and she broke his heart (he got over it, though). watches football practice only to ogle the team. never brushes his hair but knows how to do braids. has regular conversations with Regulus about literature. insecure but trying his best. a gamer. listens to movie and game soundtracks and alternative music but also Ariana Grande and a lot of pop.

Arlos characterization is weird bc:

1) he's very principled in that he has full faith in the hierarchy and believes it is the best way to structure society (the mess rei left behind probably only strengthened his belief in it). His actions as king aren't really selfish per se bc he views it as his responsibility as a high tier not really as something for his own gain.

But:

2) in at least the very beginning of the comic (when he was mostly still a 1D douche), he seemed to take pleasure in exerting his power over others. Prime example being in the turf war when he choked out the spider girl even as her team forfeited and sera had to step in to force him to stop. That Arlo seems miles apart from the Arlo we know now (character development ftw) however it's wasn't really addressed imo. We see Arlo realize the error of his ways in forcing a responsibility on john that he didn't want, and we see him be confronted with the fact that the low tiers in welston were being pushed around right under his nose- but arlos own character defining moments in the beginning of the comic (again- the turf war stuff, him trapping isen under his barrier due to info on john stuff, etc) are never addressed by Arlo himself.

Makes me wonder if uru-chan plans to address that (arlo looking back at what transpired at the turf war earlier in the comic and being disgusted by himself would certainly be interesting) along with his backstory and his aunt being volcan. However a part of me can't help but to think that the actions of Early Comic Arlo were simply to set him up as a short lived antagonist, and won't be addressed again.

one of my WIPs i’m currently focused on is of course the fic i’ve got posted! i’ll be focusing on that until it’s all done. then after her, i’m eager to get into my adoption fic or my fake marriage fic i’ve got in the works! they’re both canon universe. the adoption fic is basically where louis wants to adopt a kid post-1d and has been in the process of that for two years. harry and him are friends, never been anything more than that, but it’s a very back-and-forth relationship where it’s very stable even though it looks anything but. harry finds out about the adoption the day louis’s going to see the kid, because louis’s been secret about his adoption process so no one has known about it, and he thinks Louis is fucking crazy. and somewhere along the way harry ends up involved in the care for louis’s kid. like he’s just There, helping louis out, eventually staying over more and more because there is unfortunately some trust issues involved w/ the kid (nothing major, just a lil normal trauma when ur a foster kid), and he just overall becomes a 2nd parent and they fall in love along the way. mommy louis ftw <3

forrrrr the fake marriage fic! harry and louis are essentially drunk one night, don’t remember a fucking thing, they’re with friends, and when they wake up tg the next morning (no they didn’t have sex) they find out the media is posting articles about their extremely unexpected and very public proposal 🤠 they dont know what the fuck happened (they find out but i won’t spoil too much) annnndddd they panic because do they play along? do they say “hey we’re not really engaged sorry”? they don’t wanna be the bad guys because they Know it will blow up B A D in their face if they were to say hey sorry it’s not true because of allll the speculation they’ve always had about their friendship. so they go along w/ it and so much ensues from it. ofc they fall in love too

I dk who buys music videos, but here in Canada, a bunch of 1D music videos are always in the top 50 on iTunes. WMYB is in the top 10. Looking at them now, it’s all videos from UAN and TMH so I’m thinking it’s most likely parents buying for their kids. 1D videos for long term charting success in Canada FTW. Lol.
