Harry Styles and YN Tomlinson have split after nearly seven years together

Harry, 24, began dating his bandmates sister YN, 24, in 2011 after the couple were pictured kissing at a party.

Fans were quick to speculate that Harry Styles has split from his influencer girlfriend, YN Tomlinson, when they noticed YN didn't attend the singers Live On Tour shows in Manchester or London.

The former One Direction member and YN report they are "taking a little break".

Harry, 24, began dating his bandmates sister YN, 24, in 2011 after the couple was pictured kissing at a party.

A source close to the pair said they split after almost seven years together is down to them having “different priorities and commitments that are keeping them apart”.

The source told Celebrity Gossip: "He’s still touring and is now going abroad. She is focusing on her family, work projects and her work in London".

"They’re still very close friends and will continue to support each other".

"They’re on a break. It’s impossible to have a relationship when he’s touring and YN has her work commitments in London and along with her brother and grandparents, care for her younger siblings".

Harry is currently preparing for the Australian leg of his tour while YN is planning to release her own company and clothing line at the end of the year.

YN read the article and now it felt real for her. She looked around their London home, photos of them together, with their families, all the furniture they had chosen together teased her.

She sat all morning on sofa, the tv playing in front of her, tears streaming down her face. For the first time ever, she felt alone. Sure, her family and friends, and even Harry's family and friends had checked in on her, but she felt lonely.

After mopping around and scrolling through her endless amount of photos of the her and Harry over the years, she decided she needed to be close to her Mum right now. So she packed up some of her things and headed back home.

After driving home to Doncaster to her grandparents house, YN walked through the door with Teddy in her arms. She was surprised how quiet the house was considering all her sisters were here. She had found her Nan in the kitchen, waiting for her.

"Come here my love". Jen pulled her eldest granddaughter into her arms and the tears began to roll down YN's cheeks once more that day. "Shh..it's okay my darling".

"I just miss him Nan...and I miss Mum".

"I know darling...it's not going to be easy but you'll be okay". Jen tried to reassure her as she wiped the tears from her cheek with a tissue.

Trying to distract herself, she placed Teddy down onto the floor and watched him scuttle off into the other room. "Where's Grandad and the girls?".

"They've just gone for a walk..the girls got a little restless waiting for you".

Once the girls come back and smothered their oldest sister with cuddles and filled her in on all the drama of being young teenagers, they all cuddled up in the living room with pillows and blankets and watched all their favourite films. It was during this time that YN felt just at home, almost like she was a child again and hanging out with her siblings.

But it was later on that night when she was lying alone in bed, an empty space next to her, that the pain hit her again. Despite the distance that separated them the last few months and the disagreements they were having, YN still loved him.

She held her phone in her hand, hovering over his name. She wanted to hear his voice, even if it was just to say goodnight. She debated sending him a text. Just as she was about to change her mind and lock her phone, it pinged.

Harry It didn't feel right not saying goodnight to you. Goodnight, sweet dreams x

Of course she was the last one to go solo. The last one to bring out an album, the last one to showcase her own talents without the band. Part of her felt like it had all been a gift, one that she didn’t deserve at all. One that had been snatched away when she stopped cherishing it enough. And that is what happened. One Direction had gone on hiatus, and the rest of the boys had gone on to succeed. But there was always one question always mentioned whenever one of the boys succeeded.

Where was YN?

After hiatus started, the five remaining members had all promised to keep in contact on the group chat. They’d all support each other through everything. But then solo contracts were being signed, tabloids were spilling the latest details of upcoming albums. They were all getting their own versions of success.

All except YN.

The second hiatus started, YN had gone silent on social media. Her last post being one about the band. There will never be a day where I don’t think about the barriers we broke. You’ll always be my home. Goodbye isn’t forever. It had been her most liked post on all of her socials. And it was evidently clear to her when the first story broke about one of the boys signing a solo contract, that she was alone with that statement.

YN got to watch as each of her best friends, her brothers, her lover, started to succeed on their own. The group chat had been silent for a while now. Yet there wasn’t a day that went by where she didn’t check it, to see if anyone was typing. And somehow, there never was. It was like the history of them, of the band had been forgotten by the other members.

It took her too long to channel that sadness, anger and sorrow into something productive. Two years of silence, two years of zero movement from YN YLN. And she was going to break the internet.

She had signed a contract and fully produced a whole album, without tabloids, fans or anyone catching a whiff of it. It felt extraordinary to her, there was relief in her bones. Her brain felt empty, a warm smile spread across her lips as she watched comment after comment flood on her post. Excitement building in each of the fans.

Maybe she hadn’t been forgotten, maybe it wasn’t all that bad. Her phone was flooded with similar texts from industry friends, people she had met while in the band but never really spoken to again. But there was just one person missing.

Yet, she knew he wasn’t the most active on social media these days. Maybe he hadn’t seen the post. Or maybe he had blocked her and she hadn’t realised. Why would she have realised? The app hadn’t been installed in two years. She tried to not let it bother her, because it shouldn’t. They had broken up for a reason. They had agreed to be friends, but even that had been reluctant. So she shouldn’t have been surprised to not hear from him.

When her lead single, It Was Fine, was released, with the music video to match, the hype surrounding her and her album intensified. Her manager, Hannah, genuinely couldn’t believe it. They had been preparing themselves for a quiet launch, a few OG fans from the band who had stuck around, sure. But nothing of the scale that they were on.

I said it was fine, I never said it didn’t hurt.

YN felt on top of the world, her own words, her own lyrics were being repeated all around the globe. By fans who had been awaiting her return. By people who had stuck by her, though she had never made a single hint that she would be returning to music. It felt surreal to her, that she was getting such a wide amount of support. Even the boys had been singing her praises in their own interviews and social media posts. And it was only then that she got the message.

Hii lovey!! Listen…he really wouldn’t know what to do but I think it would go something like this…

*I imagine this would be his face when you call him*

You’d call him in the middle of the day and when he answers he’d instantly know something is wrong, your voice is low and he can hear you sniffling but what you tell him is the last thing he expects. “Zayn left Eddie. He left! It’s gonna end soon I just know it. What am I gonna do?” It would take him a moment and he’d think “who the fuck is Zayn?” before it hits him, Zayn from One Direction. He’d be quick to reassure you that it’s going to be okay the rest of the band is still there even going as far as to say “the tall one with the long hair can cover Zayn’s parts” and that’s enough to make you get even more upset making Eddie instantly regret it. So he just tells you to hold on and he’d be at your house as soon as he can.

When he gets to you he’s honestly not too shocked to see you curled up in a ball on the couch with your favorite One Direction song playing softly in the background. “This fucking sucks” is all you’d say when you climb into his lap as he wraps his arms around you. He’d just let you cry on his shoulder and not even think about how the song you’ve chosen to play on repeat is one of his least favorites because that’s not important right now. “The band will still go on babe, it’s not the end” he’d tell you in an attempt to make you feel better but when you mumble something like “it won’t be the same” he’d just nod and pull you closer to him. He’d hold you and let you go on about your favorite memories of the band even going as far as to let you put on This Is Us because he knows it’ll make you feel better. 💖

You and Eddie would argue like actually argue over who’s fans are more “intense”, Metallica’s or One Direction’s and you’d win. Why? Because Eddie would give you a detailed account of a mosh pit he’d been in and all you’d have to say is “you’ve never tried to be barricade at a One Direction show. It’s a fight for your actual life” and that’s enough to make his eyes go wide and drop the subject because why would you have to fight for your life at a boy band concert? You’d educate him on how the band was formed and he’d listen in detail because he’s kinda shocked that they were all just tossed together on a whim and it worked out. He’d learn very early on not to ask who you’re favorite is because you’d just explain that answering that is the same as asking a mom who her favorite child is so you also go “I love them all” but it’s always followed with you naming a favorite boy’s solo in a certain song. He’d make the mistake of asking “what’s gonna happen when they break up?” just once because he never wants to see that heartbroken look on your face ever again and he’d be quick to backpedal and go “I mean…that’s not gonna happen. I’m sorry. Stop looking at me like that please”. 💖
