Back to the fabrics of the early 20th Century, which will never be made again, for many reasons; they would be prohibitively costly, the machines that created these works of art are long gone, the knowledge to run the machines is lost and the raw materials are no longer available. All the more reason to appreciate the beauty whether in museums or if you are lucky enough to actually own something this amazing. Picture the lucky woman who wore this dress and image how she must have felt dancing in this gorgeous lame and lace gown. Gold lame with metallic lace in pink and gold and delicate pink tulle trim. The perfect Tango dress, the skirt is diagonal panels that drape to the ankle. The lame under slip ends at the knee, so tore legs are glimpsed through the lace.
