The High Flyer (preached in Teens Xcite on 16052015)

High flyer. People who have achieved success. They can be found in many areas. God wants you to be a high flyer.

Deu 28:13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

It is a blessing that God wants to give his people in every area of our lives. Sometimes we feel shy about being a high flyer. It is because we have a wrong understanding of being a high flyer.

Success by John Maxwell "Success is to know your purpose in life, growing to reach your maximum potential and to sow seeds to benefit others."

Daniel. Daniel in the bible was a tremendous high flyer for God.

Daniel 2:48 Then the king placed Daniel in a high position and lavished many gifts on him. He made him ruler over the entire province of Babylon and placed him in charge of all its wise men.

Daniel 5:29 Then at Belshazzar’s command, Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck, and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.

Daniel 6:28 So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

Daniel was brought to serve the Babylonians when Jeruselem.

How can we be a high flyer?

1) A faithful factor

Daniel 6:4 At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.

Principle. A moral rule of belief that helps you to know what is wrong and that influences your actions.

Daniel's refusal to compromise his actions brought favour in the eyes of God. He was faultless in his conduct. Daniel understood that despite being under an ungodly ruler, he knew that God is the one that he is truly serving.

Ephesians 6:5-8 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.

We have to serve faithfulness. "Gods faithfulness means that because He is the truth, everything He saysand does is certain. That means that He is 100% reliable 100% of the time. He does not fail, forget, falter, change or disappear."

"Faithfulness js not doing something right once, but doing right over and over again."

be a person with a faithful factor, be a man or woman with principle.

2) The Fear factor

Daniel 1:8 But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Do you have a line of conviction that you have committed to God? Have your line drawn, so that when the temptation comes, we will not cross the line.

We can be high flyers for God without compromising our identity as God's children.

You must always be prepared to leave your current job if there is an ethical issue. If you declare tour faith, you will attract and repel opportunities.

If we have crossed some lines, God's word is to repent before Him.

We do not want to lose favour in the eyes of God. If we stick our lives to doing God's work, we will never be shamed.

3) The Faith Factor

Daniel 6:10 Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

The king was influenced to pass a law that no one is allowed to pray to anyone else but the king for 30 days.

When the going gets tough, the tough gets praying. Daniel demonstrated through his prayer life, gratitude.

It is never about human beings to Daniel.

As a result, he was thrown into the lions den.

Daniel 6:19-24 At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?” Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.” The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. At the king’s command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.

The power of the spirit is not confined to the four walls of the church. He wants us to bring the power of the Holy Spirit out into the nations.

Isaiah 54:17 no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.

We often do not pray enough and we belittle it. We pray things into existence and we pray for things to happen.

To be on God's side is to be on the right and winning side.

Experimental 4k Video from the second half of the final of the West Riding County Womens Football League Chairmans Supplementary Cup which took place on the 16th May 2015. Match finished 3-3 at full-time. Battyeford won on penalties. Handheld so wobbly at times. You may notice Battyeford appear to take two consecutive penalties due to an equipment problem I missed one of the LM&D’s penalties
