"Myco's Cassette Tape"

They named me as Myco Johannes Villena Leonor or known as “Myco” or "Lady G" since I'm the only girl in our family. I was born in Quezon City, Philippines. My birthday is on January 9, 2005. My Father is Ryan Macunaña Leonor and My Mother is Bernadette Villena Leonor. My Father is a Gym Instructor in Fitness First at Trinoma. My Mother is a house-wife and also sells homemade foods. My Father also sells gym equipment, authentic foreign ready-to-cook food and things. We’re very flexible when it comes to business, It’s either book, clothes, cars, house, Perfume, furniture, and of course foods.

Back to our old house we’re a normal family.. when I tell you Family, I really mean it. My cousin, My aunt, Grandma, Grandpa, My parent’s cousin and… I guess all of my relative in my Mother side are living in one place. My father and Mother started a small business, It’s a Barbecue business. Every food that can be grilled, they sell that. Name it, seasoned grilled milk-fish, Grilled tilapia, pork barbecue, chicken barbecue, Chicken Intestine, Pig Intestine, Hot dogs, burger patty, and Seasoned Grilled Squid…

When I was a kid, I am always being bullied. I don’t know why, I didn’t do anything to them and they just bully me. Tripping me, Eating my food, Threatening me, Grabbing my hair, Threw my food, Kick me in stomach and even the higher level bully me. I didn’t tell it to my parent’s tho.. unless I can’t take it anymore. My parents have many problems and issues I don’t want to add petty bully issue so I kept everything inside me.

We firstly lived in Deparo Caloocan. Where my Father side are living. But then we moved in Murphy Cubao Quezon City because of bills that my parent can’t handle. And to add up, that house in Deparo Caloocan have a living spirit. My Mom told me that when we were praying before we eat, I was talking in air. Like I was inviting the ghost to eat with us. We can’t deny that there’s really a ghost in there because few blocks away from our house a massacre took place.

Aguinaldo Elementary School since Kinder to Grade 3, 15th Avenue Elementary School when I was in 4th to 5th grade and we moved here in Project 6 where I took my 6th grade in Project 6 Elementary School. My highschool life started in New Era University, Since 7th grade till now. Since I was bullied in my elem days I got traumatized so in my 7th grade to 8th grade, things are kinds messy. I can’t handle things that well but I can tell that I don’t lie, only when needed. Only when I need to cover for someone. There’s nothing happened that is important since I’m walking ambivert.

We’re still living here in Project 6 and I’m 17 years old turning 18 in January. I can’t really explain my life right now. It’s kinda boring but thanks to church duties I have something to do. I love physical activities than Social Activities. Things changed when Pandemic came and tons of people Died because of it, but this year 2022 I think we will have face to face classes which is great because I really prefer Face to Face than Online. Nothing special or important events other than getting ready for Santa Cena.

I think in 10 years’ time... I don’t really know since I don’t have a concrete plan on college. I’m planning to take law which takes about 7 years or more if I didn’t do my best. I can take Flight Attendant classes but we’re short of money, and my last resort is to be a model, connected with fashion, make up and products that are for skin. I still have 1 year to build and make a concrete plan that I will do or take in my college. I want to try new things like working while studying since I want to help my parents paying things like bills and such.

ARTSY WEEKEND IN ART IN ISLAND

It’s an awesome weekend exploring  an Interactive 3D Art Museum here at Philippines.

I had so much fun with my sister during our stay there. we went there at around 4pm last saturday, that is why the people are not much crowded and picture taking is a lot easier because you don’t need to wait much.

There are about 180+ 3D paintings on 2 floors. You would need at least 2 hours to explore all of them.

One of the challenging part here is doing some creative poses and getting the right angle when taking the pictures. though they have the point of picture tags at the floor, sometimes still turning the right angle would get the best shot that you would want to achieve.

This is one of our best shot, why? me and my sister are the only one in that area as of that moment, and no one could help us take the picture, so what my sister did, she put the selfie stick on her bag and let it stand and put on the timer for 10 seconds, and tadaaaa, we made our shot.

This must be a mirror room, but again since we are just two we didn’t make it, but we used the trick of panorama, and i think it's quite good.

Shoes aren't allowed to avoid damage to the artworks on the floor. you should wear socks or even barefoot at all, but they do have foot socks that you could buy there.

They do also have Christmas themed 3D paintings.

Feels like you travel around a lot of places, just by taking pictures in this museum, very overwhelming. I can say that the entrance fee is very worth it.

There are also cute paintings of animals.

You could find Art in Island at  175 15th Avenue, Barangay Socorro, Cubao, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. There’s actually an entrance at Cubao Expo to Art in Island.

9:30 AM to 9:30 PM. Daily.

Entrance fee is 500 for adults and 400 for students. (NOTE: please bring school ID to get the student rate) Children below 3ft. are free.

I’ve been to different museums before but this is actually my 1st time to experience a 3D Art Museum. By word of mouth and endless searching on the internet, I found this museum located in Cubao Quezon City.

ART IN ISLAND is the biggest 3D Museum in Asia as far as number of 3D paintings is concerned, and can be found in Cubao, Quezon City. The biggest in terms of area is the 3D Museum in Jeju Island in Korea at 4,100 sqm, versus the 3,800 sqm of Art in Island.

It’s a museum with visually stunning 3D artworks that you can touch, interact with, and be part of. It was founded by Yun Jae Kyoung and his Korean partners, with 14 3D artists from Korea working on all the paintings in 4 months.

Art In Island is located in Cubao, Quezon City. We are near Gateway Mall, Araneta Center, Ali Mall, Cubao Expo, etc.

To go through 15th Avenue, you can go through Aurora Boulevard. 15th Avenue is a one-way street from Aurora Boulevard. Go straight ahead 15th Avenue and you can see Art In Island on the right side.

You can also go to Art In Island through our back entrance in Cubao Expo (former Marikina Shoe Expo). From P. Tuazon Boulevard, turn to Gen. Romulo Avenue. Go straight ahead and enter Cubao Expo.

I was really excited to see the whole museum. Just a friendly reminder, you need to wear socks because you will be asked to take off your shoes before entering the museum & a jacket cause it’s cold inside.

My boyfriend and I had so much fun looking at the amazing artworks. It was actually a challenge for us because we had to think and make our best pose in every painting we’ve seen.

WHEN TO VISIT?

Art In Island is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, 9:30am to 9:30pm. We are close on Mondays but open on holidays. Selling of tickets is until 8pm.

WHAT TO BRING?

Camera: You have to bring your cameras when visiting Art In Island. It can be a cell phone camera, tablet pc or a DLSR.

Socks: You will be asked to take off your shoes before entering the museum. We have our shoe counter where you can deposit your shoes. You’ll be in socks or barefooted while touring the museum or you can also bring and use your bedroom slippers. We also have slippers socks for sale for 150.00 pesos.

Jacket: Art In Island is fully air-conditioned and you may get cold while touring the museum.

Family and Friends: It is more fun to pose and to take pictures with your family and friends.

Felt like a mermaid for a day!

Overall, this place is the perfect spot to take a lot of selfies or just have fun with your friends and family. You’ll be amazed on the incredible and creative artworks around the area. But it could have been improved. The entrance fee is too steep. They don’t also accept credit cards so be sure to bring cash. There is no queueing system when taking photos. They should also be more welcoming with the guests and the foods are too expensive.

If you get hungry, there’s an in-house restaurant on the 2nd floor. Food is kinda pricey :)
