I'm content with it, but it could be better. My favorite part of this renovation is definitely the interior tho. I added a second floor in case Florence has children in the future. But for now it's completely empty, there aren't even any doors. Because - let's say it together - I ran out of money. As per usual.

Its been such a long time since ive played The Sims 2, seeing @yeoldecorprusarium's builds have really inspired me to get back into it. So, here is 15 Lake Meadow Circle.

I've always loved playing this lot ever since OFB came out, so I thought, why not start here? I felt her ideal home would be a British country cottage or barn-style home, with lots of natural materials and cosy furniture, with ofcourse LOTS of flowers, plants and a beautiful garden .

Free goodies will be available all evening as races from all across Azeroth dance together in this hard-won time of peace.

The event will be located at The Circle of Life in Twilight Highlands near the Vermilion Redoubt, almost on the border of the Wetlands. It is past the cave and group of lakes depicted on the northwest corner of the map.

The TomTom coordinates for Twilight Highlands are (15,16).

This area requires a flying mount to access. If you do not have a flying mount, whisper Arete-WrymrestAccord in-game and I can ferry you on a Sandstone Drake or arrange for a warlock to summon you. Not on Wyrmrest Accord? Fear not! Look for our premade group “DRAGONSTOMP” in the Group Finder!

Greetings from Bluewater Village Year one: introduction

Here is the town of Bluewater Village.

This busy, little shopping district has almost endless possibilities for any sim with enough money to start their own business. But if you don't have the funds, maybe consider getting a loan from Landgraab Industries? Their rates are... fair.

There's currently 13 sims spread across 7 households in the town:

We start our round in Bluewater Village with Delarosa Flowers at 15 Lake Meadow Circle. Here's what the game says about Delarosa Flowers

"Looking for a way to say “I love you”? Look no further than Delarosa Flowers. Florence’s arrangements are almost as famous as her delicious pasta dishes. The secret to her sauce? Rose-hips!"

The proprietor is Florence Delarosa who is a Knowledge Sim. Florence is the daughter of William and Mary Delarosa, both deceased. Her in-game bio says:

"Born with a green thumb, and graced with old-world charm, Florence has a way of winning friends. A recent arrival, rumors about her past abound. What intrigue lies behind her shy smile?"

Florence is gay and her secondary aspiration is pleasure. Her lifetime want is to be a Master Florist (make 300 bouquets).

Florence asked Ericka out on a date. And they were caught by Nina Caliente (who in a previous round had started a relationship with Ericka, and I believe, Ericka had moved in with.). That did not end well for anybody.

On the plus side, Florence's flower shop seems to be doing well. It is now a 3 star establishment.

Florence also managed to woohoo with Marylena Hamilton after a couple of failed attempts at dating her.

Daily Drabble Project Mar 11-20

3/11/23 Lulu splashed happily in her little puddle. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and all the world was fresh and shiny. The sunny day was a complete opposite to the heavy rains of the day before and Lulu was glad to be able to get out of the house again. Tommers was less enthused. He sat grumpily on the front porch and watched Lulu frolic about in the many muddy puddles around the yard. Lulu paid no mind to him. She was having a great day and there was nothing Tommers could do to ruin it for her.

3/12/23 Susan tipped forward and fell face first into the bed. She snuggled into the blankets and tuned out Walter who was still rambling on about something or other. The mattress was soft and the comforter was warm and smelled vaguely of lilacs. Susan sighed deeply as she rolled over onto her side and curled up in a ball. Walter tapped her on the thigh with some inquiry that she couldn't quite contemplate in the moment. She murmured incoherently in response to him. Walter sighed and draped a blanket over her, leaving her to slowly drift off to a blissful slumber.

3/13/23 Fizzy whacked the side of the vending machine and growled. His potato chips refused to budge from where they were wedged against the glass. Fizzy didn't have any more change on him to buy another bag and he was desperate for some food. The chips were up on the top rack of the machine, so trying to reach in and grab them was a no go. He kicked the machine a few times. It didn't do anything, but it made Fizzy feel better. He pressed his face against the glass staring longingly at his prize. Fizzy sighed. The bag fell.

3/14/23 Tally licked her ice cream cone and watched the birds circling overhead. The sun was bright in the sky and heat rose off the pavement in hazy waves. The grass was parched and yellowing and the leaves on the trees hung limply. It had been a scorching summer so far, without any reprieve in sight. The ice cream in Tally's hand was rapidly melting, she had to lick up a long white line that had dripped over her fingers and onto the asphalt at her feet. Tally had to hastily finish eating her ice cream before the whole thing melted.

3/15/23 Omen hopped along the windowsill watching the people pass by in the street below. He knew most all of them by now, as well as most of the animals who lived around town. They all had their plain ordinary lives that were largely uninteresting to Omen, but there were a couple he liked to keep an eye on. Primarily the two that his mistress was currently living with. Omen didn't trust most wizards and these two had an air of danger about them that he did not like. He flattened his feathers as he watched the younger one walk by.

3/16/23 Goldy pranced through the meadow tossing her long luxurious mane as she went. Spring had returned and all the clover was in bloom again. Goldy paused to stand magnificently in the breeze and let all admire her beauty. Fred Meyer trotted up to her stupidly with his big dumb hooves stomping all over the clovers. Fred Meyer had persistently tried to befriend Goldy since the moment they first met. Goldy had tried to dissuade the big idiot, but he seemed incapable of taking a hint. Fred Meyer shook his shabby mane and pranced ridiculously around Goldy. What a big showoff.

3/17/23 Paddy giggled quietly to himself as he moved another shovel full of earth. He was all alone in the glistening forest and far enough off the path that he was unlikely to be snuck up on by anyone. The earth was soft and damp from the recent rain, but the skies were clearing up. A bright rainbow shone clearly overhead. Paddy giggled again as he glanced up at it while moving the final pile of dirt over the now filled in hole he had dug. They could follow the rainbow all they wanted, but they would never find the bodies.

3/18/23 Sugar leaned over the water peering at her reflection. Piper snuck up behind her and shoved her into the lake. Sugar screamed and splashed water at Piper who was laughing heartily on the edge of the dock. Sugar splashed again and then started to heave herself out of the water and back onto the dock. Piper reached out a hand to help her up and Sugar couldn't help herself; she grabbed Piper's hand and yanked hard. Both girls fell into the lake, Piper screaming even louder than Sugar had. Sugar smirked at Piper and then splashed more water on her.

3/19/23 Jymie came careening around the corner with Tobby close on his heels. Both men raced across the city park at a full sprint. Jymie leaped over a bench while Tobby ran around it. The two ran through a flock of pigeons, scattering them and sending them flying in all directions. Tobby gained the lead when Jymie stumbled over a tree root, though he managed to keep himself from falling over and was as close behind Tobby as Tobby had been behind him. Their end destination came into sight and Jymie barely pulled ahead to reach the ice cream truck first.

3/20/23 Janthra laughed hysterically at Pipya's mildly funny joke. She leaned forward over the table to bat her heavy fake lashes at him. Pipya smiled nervously and took a deep drink from his glass of water. Janthra leaned back in her chair and twirled a strand of her golden wavy hair around her finger while she waited for Pipya to finish chugging his drink. He scarcely had, however, when the waiter arrived with their food. Whereupon Janthra promptly forgot about Pipya and dove happily into devouring her entrée. Pipya sighed quietly in relief as he also tucked into his own meal.

Sure enough, before the end of the day, Kaylynn has had enough. "I thought this would be EASIER than working at the nursing home, not harder! I quit!" Sigh. Florence handles the long line at the cash register, and closes up shop for the day, before she calls in the second person who'd responded to the job ad - a teenaged girl named Lakshmi Byall. It's probably for the best, Florence figures. Lakshmi is young and eager and full of energy, and maybe she'll get along with Ophelia, being around the same age. Besides, there's the added bonus of having to pay her less, since she's a teen. Lakshmi is still doing the restocking when the phone rings. It's Gilbert. Of course. "What? A cruise? I'm sorry, Gil, my love, but are you insane? I can't leave my shop behind for so long, all my flowers would wilt and die!" Oh Gilbert, ever the dreamer. Florence is happy to be able to finally sink down on the couch with a big mug of coffee. What a day.

15 Lake Meadow Circle (Florence Delarosa house) renovation Part 2 - interior

I always try to come up with the personality of the sim(s) I'm building a house for. In this case, I was feeling really inspired and had this very particular vision of who Florence Delarosa is. She calls herself an "old soul" and believes she was born into the wrong era. She appreciates all things vintage and unique - it’s not about the price, it’s about owning something no one else has, no matter how cheap or expensive. She thinks that with mass production, humanity stepped onto the path of self-destruction. Florence would rather live on the street than in a house furnished from Ikea.

No one in Bluewater Village knows her life story. She tells everyone she comes from a noble family, that all the vintage furniture and various knickknacks were originally her great-great-great-grandmother's. Technically, she’s not lying - it could be true. She doesn’t know her family, as she was raised in an orphanage. They could have even been of royal blood - who's to say otherwise? She came up with the name "Florence Delarosa" herself, it can help her flower business.

And the antiques? She spends a lot of time on online marketplaces and frequents garage sales. She has a good eye for things that can be salvaged.

Now that she finally has a house of her own, she dreams of throwing fancy tea parties and making lots of friends.
