Two. Pink. Lines..

That's what the small stick in my hand read in the tiny window.. though, this result was nothing different than the other three tests I took this morning..

"Lynn, honey, you alright in there?" I heard my mom ask with a knock on the bathroom door. 

"Yeah! Mom, I'm good!" I assured her, trying to hide the cracking of my stressed voice. Sure, Marcus and I talked about kids, but the plan was in the future.. After high school and college.. after getting married..

"Okay.. well, Marcus is downstairs waiting on you." My mom informed me. 

Fuck.

"Tell him I'll be down!" I shouted, standing up from the toilet to look in the mirror. 

I looked like a wreck.. hair in a messy bun with an oversized sweater..I couldn't bring myself to try today as I slipped on my brother's blue letterman. 

"Don't you look cute today." Marcus teased, walking over to peck my lips. 

I need to tell him.

"You're so full of shit.." I laughed, Marcus instantly raising his hands in defense. 

"Hey! I can admire my gorgeous girl whenever I want." He defended, leading me outside to his car. 

"I need to talk to you." I said, feeling like I need to rip the bandage off. 

"Am I in trouble?" Marcus joked, my heart only sinking more. 

"We both might be.." I said, waiting for him to get in the car with me.

"Before you start driving.. Marcus, I'm pregnant." I said, eyes screwing shut with my nerves. 

Silence..

"Mar-" I began only for my boyfriend to hold his hand up. 

"Hold up.. you're what?" He asked, though before I had time to answer Marcus was already talking again.

"Was it just a faulty test?" He asked causing me to shake my head.

"Not four of them." I told him, the squeaking sound of his grip tightening on the steering wheel worrying me. 

"What the fuck, Lynn??" Marcus shouted, hand slamming down on the wheel angrily.

"Were you not taking your birth control? Are you seriously trying to fuck up my life right now?" He yelled.

"Fuck up your life? Really?" I asked, Marcus almost instantly rolling his eyes. 

"Yeah, really. Shit, you told me you were taking your birth control? You lying to me now, too?" He asked as I slowly reached over to take his hand hoping to steady the both of us only for Marcus to swat me away. 

"You're getting rid of it." He demanded. 

"If you fucking cared about me, about us, you'll get rid of it." Marcus told me, running his hands over his face. 

"You should probably get another ride to school, I'm not going." He told me, tears already beginning to form. 

"Where are you going.?" I asked, voice shaky as the doors unlocked. 

"Don't worry about it, damn.. Seriously, Lynn, you need to go." Marcus told me. I couldn't bring myself to move I felt so broken..

"Get the fuck out of my car!" He shouted, finally reaching over me and pushing the door open as I scurried out only for him to speed off leaving me broken and crying..
