Last night I had a dream that Marinette and Adrien were starring in a a ballet version of The 12 Dancing Princesses so all day I've been thinking about an Adrinette AU of the 12DP where Adrien is the oldest princess and Marinette the one who finds out where the princesses have been going

or a modern Au where the six eldest play cards against humanity while Derek and Genevieve are out with the twins and the cinnamon rolls

The twelve dancing princesses au sounds great!!!!! Im very excited about it. Also yes king toshi!!!! I"ve been screaming internally about king toshi since i saw the official bnha thing, even if there wasnt any toshi there. So thats mood. Have fun with the au!!!!

i'm sorry i have no questions but the opening theme to the 12 dancing princesses has been playing on a loop in my head for a while so i would be very excited to hear if you have more Thoughts on the au, or even just vibes or things

god thats a MOOD i woke up the other day with the song stuck in my head and was like yeah alright i guess this is just how it’s gonna be and..... that’s how we got here now honestly. i’m kind of a mess trying to remember all the fun stuff i crammed into the recesses of my brain, But i’ll give you:

-aizawa is the royal advisor(?)/tutor aka the Substitute Dad who lives in the palace. hitoshi and eri are his adopted kids, but hitoshi spent so much time around the Royal Children growing up he just sort of became one of them and no one batted an eye, eri did the same when aizawa took her in. 

-at Least 4 of the kids sans hitoshi/eri/shouto aren’t Officially the royal kids, they just all kinda live in the palace and more or less grew up together and the king and queen are Everyone’s parents so they might as well be their own children;

-momo’s parents are nobles, kyouka’s are the royal musicians, tenya’s are at the head of the royal guard, katsuki’s are tailors but i havent decided if they’re Alive And Around or dead and that’s why katsuki lives with izuku

-i’ve been going back and forth on whether ochako or mirio should be derek for literal months, each time i start to consider one i find another point on why it should be the other, please help, i am dying,

this au is less barbie and more me taking a fantasy setting and cramming in as much found family and dadmight/dadzawa softness as i possibly can

Asdfgjk hi I'm that one anon who was supposed to rewatch 12DP ages ago but forgot! Anyway if you're not gonna exactly follow the story anyway, there's no reason why you couldn't like, have both Mirio and Ochako taking on the role of Derek but like, split it between them? And give them something original to do on the side? Personally I still like the idea of Ochako and Mei having a shoe-making business together, maybe Mirio could travel with them to the palace for smthn and then uh oh plot? Dunno

my idea for each of them would be that ochako!derek is the poor royal shoemaker which makes sense with her family being money-tight construction workers in canon, while mirio!derek is the cool shoemaker dude who just shows up and hangs out with the others sometimes and the kids r like Wow Mirio You’re So Cool which is basically what he does in canon, so you can clearly see my predicament here. one of them is a Derek so the other can be one of the royal kids, (so 12 kids + Derek) so if i made them both fill derek’s shoes (gEDDIT) there’d be an Empty Spot that i’d have to put another kid into, which i don’t really want to do t b h.

i thought of it and i think i’ve decided to make mirio The Derek after all, and ochako is an important part of the Family Dynamic(tm)--i just think it flows a little smoother that way! though i honestly still love the idea of Ochako And Mei, The Dream Team And Their Shoemaking Meme Schemes, it’s hilarious. tbh i’m hesitant to bring mei into this unless i absolutely have a use for her because i already have more characters involved than there probably needs to be--i’m currently struggling to figure out how to make aizawa and nighteye useful lol.

also i have mirio written down in my outline as “Visits the palace often to deliver shoes, is 2 seconds away from becoming toshinori’s 13th child” and i really do not want to change anything about that

anon i can’t describe the feral grin that overtook my features when i saw the lil 1 in my inbox. buckle down kiddos we’re goin on a tangent

OKAY so i was having a conversation of sorts with my dear sister and barbie got brought up, As It Does, and i was like lol i kinda wanna write that barbie 12 dancing princesses au i thought of for exactly 7 seconds once now!! oh no!!! and then i got actual ideas!!! Oh No!!!!

so BASICALLY it’s like:

the king and queen, toshinori and inko, are disasters who adopt like 10 orphans (the coolest kids in 1A + shinsou + eri) and raise them alongside izuku, their biological son. inko dies because Yeah and toshinori realizes his kids are masking their grief by being absolutely feral (i haven’t seen this movie in a while so forgive any inaccuracies) so he calls in a favor from his good ol pal duke endeavor (inko’s cousin) like Hey wanna whip my kids into shape :) and endeavor who has been after the throne scar-style is like it’s free real estate

so endeavor moves into the palace and brings little shouto along to set a Good Example for the unruly princes(ses) and in about 3 seconds the kids adopt shouto as one of their own and shouto has never felt more at home with 11 royal disasters and their dad who actually loves them

and naturally endeavor sets out to poison toshinori and get him killed so he can take the throne and yada yada all that happens and i haven’t actually thought about the like, magic other world part of it yet LMAO oops

BUT that’s pretty much all i have so far anon i’m glad at least one (1) person here is a man of culture as well and thinks combining bnha and the bcu (barbie cinematic universe) is the best idea on earth

I’ve never needed anything in my life like this until now. Okay but real talk would Hawks be like Endeavors little feather brained servant? Would they be cursed to dance together for all eternity? And also, the secret garden outfits would be so damn pretty?? I wanna say the colors would be based off of their hero costumes and they would be beautiful. I’m sorry, I’ve fallen in love with Barbie bnha au and it’s everything I’ve ever wanted.
