heyyyy, @victoryjacket tagged me in this fic tag thingie and lord knows my favorite thing to do is yell about fics so here we go!

1. What is the last fic you read that you liked? 

 hmmm i ...... literally dont know. i probably haven’t read any fic for the first time in a good few months bc i love to reread my bookmarks a hundred times and pretend my favorite authors still write fic. i’ll go with say hallelujah, say goodnight by @alivingfire bc it says something when a fic is over 100K and i, an Impatient, actually finish it. also its just really, really good 

2. What is the first fic you remember reading?

im not even gonna talk about wattpad right now so the first fic i remember reading on ao3 is probably the finish line (is a good place for us to start) by @loaded-gunn (which is a good first indeed, listen i didnt shut up about this fic for literal years) 

3. What is your favorite fic trope?

idk if its a trope? but my favorite thing to read and write is fwb w/ mutual pining (re: rivers til i reach you is born) 

4. What are your 3 favorite chaptered fics?

oh god ummm 

so keep my candle bright by whisperdlullaby is always a fave, like, if u havent read that literally read it right now. ughghgghhghg 

wild and unruly by @100percentsassy and gloria_andrews is absolutely gorgeous, godddddd i love the characterization so much, everything about it is so good 

it wont let me link it for some reason but red brick heart by hazmesentir is a given, old school but so so good

5. What are your 3 favorite one-shots?

possibly my favorite fic in the universe is we can take the long way home by @eleadore. it’s...... so fucking good, i dont even know what to say other than read it right now 

also hats off to my distant hope by navigator is one i find myself going back to quite often, breaks my lil heart but its worth it

with love comes strange currencies by @mediaville is fucking amazing, my abo baby. is anyone noticing a pattern w the fwb fics skssjjjs 

6. What fic would you love a prequel to? and a sequel?

i dont know about a prequel, but for a sequel i need more of boys of summer by sharktoothedfawnskinned in my life every day so i’ll answer that for both

7. How about a fic that would make a good movie?

from the love to the lightning is a like crazy au so its literally already a movie but hear me out. i watched this movie before i ever knew hl fic was thing and i remember hating it, fast forward years later and i read and l o v e d this fic so dearly, so gimme the movie again but with harry and louis starring thx 

8. What fic do you think is severely under-appreciated?

listen it’s not exactly hurting for hits, but i never see anyone talking about some things take root by navigator the way it deserves. yall, it is THE fake relationship au that we all deserve 

9. What is the funniest sentence you have ever read in a fic?

oh jesus. i dunno about a sentence, but this bit from we should get jerseys always gets me:

Across the aisle, Niall and Liam are laughing at them, but Harry just grazes his nose down Louis’ neck and whispers into his ear, “so I won.”

“Yes,” Louis agrees, finding that it’s getting even harder not to, y'know, get hard. “You did. The entire team did.”

Louis can feel Harry rolling his eyes before saying lowly, “Well, you’re not going to let the entire team finger you.”

He clearly doesn’t say it as lowly as he thinks, though, because then the players immediately around them are catcalling and giving suggestive looks.

“Fucking hell,” Louis swears, blushing brightly and getting off Harry’s lap. “There’s a time and a place.”

“No better time than now,” Atkins leers obnoxiously, winking. “Give us a show, Cap.”

10. How about the one sentence that broke your heart?

ok so the first thing i did was go into another hazy may by deLILAh to graze through and find a sentence, but listen, i couldnt choose. that literal whole fic breaks my heart, its so so good 

11. Re: other pairings; which do you like and to get into it, what should I read?

hm. hm. i dont read anything other than hl, because if i try i literally cant picture them with anyone but each other so im just like...this is good....but what if it was LouisandHarry ... anyway if i had to, probably zouis. the one fic that comes to mind is want a scar that looks just like you by deadspy but beware. i remember reading this and theres a bit where harry and louis talk casually and im like ok when do they fall in love ?? and they dont???? it knocks the wind out of me a lil but its good ok ill shut up now 

12. Is there a prompt that you have?

so ... many...... prompts. im currently writing the breakup au and the dystopian au with @pass-the-pencil but i also have the dunkirk au and the southern gothic au and the enkfndfndklnfs oh god im stressed now
