welcm to cy's hot takes, where my takes might fire back at me 😭
sorry in advance! 😭 -
this hot take is about 4 things
more ships, (BC why not), Chuck, Brenda and Group B (every Group B member)
(requested by: @zer0brainc3lls)
This is because I didn't post a hot take in awhile so I need to feed my children 🤭🎂 and also my bday is in 12 days and I been busy soo sorry for that. Anyways let's get to it!!
1: Ships:
Avanson (Ava Janson), I see this in the books, movies no, because Janson shot Ava like poor girl. Books wise (from Death Cure chp 1-20) I think it might happen?
Benmas (Ben Thomas), not gonna happen, he attacked the guy, not made out. Get a brain check smh...
Borge (Brenda Jorge), not gonna happen for a few reasons, the books and movies show them as family, not lovers, AGES! And the fact they see eachother as Dad and Daughter. So sorry, not gonna happen.
Miresa (Minho Teresa) BRO THEY HATE EACH OTHER! Have you seen the books?! Minho says: "I don't trust that girl" the moment he learns about her. Like he fights her in Death Cure (movie) DO I NEED MORE?!
Nalby (Newt Alby), I kinda say both, I hate it and like it. They like eachother but not crushing... More of leader friends. Yk yk?
2: Chuck (Chuckie boy!!)
He's a cute adorable and happy boy, I wish we had more of him in the books and movies... Like he was a good character but he was so unused. I know he was shown in Fever Code, HES AMAZING THERE! But I wish he had more time in there. He is nice and caring but he needs better screen time then being shot/stabbed by Gally.
7/10, cute but stop shipping/simping. 😑
3: Brenda
She's amazing, I love how everyone has subject names and she's girlboss. Like amazing. She saved Thomas and Minho in the Scotch, she trusted Thomas and Gladers and helped Jorge to trust them and now look where they are! She also hates Teresa (same girl) and WCKD even though she works for them.
10/10 girlboss for the win.
4: Group B.
Aris: He is so ANNOYING LIKE HOW THE SKIBIDI DO PEOPLE LIKE THE GUY?! He kissed Teresa, betrayed Group B and A, helped WCKD and is a ass in general.
Rachel: I wish I have a say in her. I don't. Because she barely have any lines but being killed by Beth. (Gallys opposite and said in Scotch Trials book) And the fact she was so annoying in Fever Code just killed me.
Sonya, Harriet: Both amazing, nice, helped Thomas and knew they were on there side, not WCKDs. Sonya is Newts sister, I'm not gonna be biased about it. Harriet is like Minho to me so that's cool. I like how they are Alby and Newt opposites. It's amazing 🤩😍. 10/10
Miyoko, Beth: They don't have a say but I do like what I found of them. Miyoko is Minho's opposite and Beth is Gallys opposite if you forget. They are cool people so that's all for that. But I want more MIYOKO!!
Anyways that's a long hot take for y'all. Eat up kids. Anyways love ya!

On the tenth day of Ben-mas Stephanie gave to me - Logan and @delos-mio at an ugly christmas sweater partayyyy.
I adore the idea of Logan attending an ugly sweater party! Thank you for the amazing combo, Lex! I hope you lovelies enjoy it, especially you lovely ❤️
‘Do we have to go? I look ridiculous in this thing.’
Maybe it was why you wanted to do this. Logan had always been one of those creatures that wanted the best, exceptionally dressed and always ready for what life threw at him - or so he wanted people to think. You knew different. Knew that his life wasn’t all it was cracked up to be, with a Father that only thought of what the world could do for him, and a Mother that had taken her own life.
A smile was smoothly etched against your lips, fingers plucking at the material as you glanced up at him.
‘You promised me. Remember? You owe me. Now get your hot ass in the car.’
With a smirk, and a smack on the butt he started to make his way toward the jacket closet, only to retrieve the keys from the hook.
‘I love it when you talk about my ass.’
The conversation was nothing more than a memory the moment the two of you made it to your friend’s home. Losing yourself in the conversation, you noted how you were left to your own devices among your friends. Every so often you would glance off, finding the eyes of a darkened brown and finding yourself fighting off the urge to excuse yourself. Thankfully he beat you to it.
‘If you’ll excuse us.’
There was no question. There never was with Logan Delos. He was a commanding man, demanding attention wherever he went without fail. Something that came quite the power couple when it came to the two of you. While you didn’t question the reason that he drew you away. The reason that the music was fading, the lights twinkling away as you moved from the home and under an archway twinkling with lights.
The air was crisp, a defining difference from the warmth of the home, and yet you felt warm. Not from the edge of the alcohol, or the fact that the heat was cranked up to compensate for the chilly weather.
‘Logan … what ..’
The words started only to be silenced by a finger, a smirk approached the corners of his lips; his long limbs stepping closer to you.
‘Lex … i just want to thank you for making me come.’
With his words, his hands were reaching out to capture yours, his eyes taking in the intertwining of fingers with a dazzling smile and wanting eyes.
‘Coming here made me realize that I’m the best looking asshole in these ugly sweaters.’
A laugh escaped your lips, wringing a hand from his own to swat against his arm regardless if you knew the information to be a true statement.
‘You think so? I’d hate to make your head any better than it already is.’
‘You’re right. It is unnaturally bigger, isn’t it?’
Laughing once more, you’re head shook before he was pulling you in closer under the beaming moon, and the twinkling stars overhead.
‘Logan ... just kiss me.’
With that he was smiling, your own smile braced against his lips as you two shared a kiss. Happy that you had won a bet, regardless of if it was at the hands of a drunk girl practically eating concrete.

Strike of midnight
On the eighth day of Ben-mas Stephanie gave to me - Nicky and @sallyp-53 on New Year’s eve.
Ever wonder what it would be like to run into Nicky on the eve of new year's? Hope you loves enjoy, especially you Sally!
A sigh escaped your lips at the happy chatter that came through your phone.
‘Get dressed, woman! We’re going to end 2018 the right way!’
The silence on the other end was met with a sigh, realizing that the year had flown by, and you hated that you didn’t have anything to show for it. With twisted lips you were getting to your feet, a determination in your darker eyes as you bound toward your closet. Within a moment’s notice music was pumping through the rooms of your home while hangers were thrown to and fro. This was a decision that needed careful thought. It was the end of one chapter of your life, and the beginning of a new. It was to be given careful consideration.
Apparently something that you should have given a little more time when you found yourself in the long line shivering in the chilly cold. Thankful for your friend’s body heat, the excitement igniting something else at the pulsing lights and the thump of the bass against the establishment.
While you liked your fun, this was one of those that you had to fight tooth and nail to get into, and on New Year’s Eve? It seemed to be that much harder, although, your friend had no issue with getting the three of you inside without much problem with the slight adjustment of her dress.
‘Works every time!’
A laugh surged from your lips, your head shaking faintly at the fact that she reverted to such measures only to have your attention drawn to the crowd that seemed to move as one. The DJ was amazing, taking full control over the crowd that swayed with each blast of the bass. The sight was almost hypnotic, it was the tug against your arm that had you easily following and falling in sync with the others.
It was the feeling of someone watching you that had you glancing around, finding a pair of dark expressive eyes glancing into your direction. Every now and then you would turn, a smirk slowly forming against your lips to find those same eyes watching you only to find yourself alone among the swarm of people. With your friends nowhere to be found, there was a sigh that rose to your lips when you found yourself distracted by the clock that showed there was an hour remaining before the year was done, and switching into something brand new.
‘You here alone?’
The voice was a little too close for comfort, turning only to instinctively take a step backwards and offering something of a smile.
‘...no.’
The word was offered, clipped off while you glanced around for your friends, not once indicating just who you were with, and hoping that the guy got the hint. A hint that obviously wasn't taken when he took a step forward only to find a presence stepping between the two of you.
‘There a problem?’
You could barely hear the exchange, though you took the time to take in your savior; tall, nice dark hair, and a northern accent that you found to be something that drew you in even while he made a point to have your pursuer to back off. It was the moment that he turned to face you that you found a smile at the image of the guy that you found yourself trading glances with.
‘It’s about time you took the hint!’
Words were spoken over the music, watching the way his expression crept up into something of a crooked smile.
‘Had to wait for the right timing. Seems Mr. Cocky was just what I needed.’
The hour began to tick away, forgetting the fact that you lost your friends when the DJ stopped the music to begin the countdown to the new year. With the seconds dwindling, there was a soft nerve that crawled up within your chest only to find yourself with a new found bravery with the last moment ticking away to pull the handsome stranger down for a kiss.
A smile developed against his lips, pressing into your own.
‘I couldn’t seem to help myself.’
‘I’m glad. Definitely makes me look forward to 2019. This just may be my year.’

All I want for Christmas
On the fourth day of Benmas Stephanie gave to me - Sirius and @theblackqueen-ofmyheart playing Secret Santa.
‘Who did you get?’
Something of a sly smile tugged against your lips, the small piece of parchment clutched within your grasp as you peered up through long lashes, ‘I’ll never tell.’
Lips pressed as you turned, leaving your friends with the mystery of what name was scribbled not so neatly in black ink with the rush of green from your cloaks. Every once and in a while dark eyes would peer down at the letters that peered back, only to find yourself glancing off at the rowdy foursome of Gryffindors that always had quite a repetition for themselves. The boys were inseparable, that much you could see on your own, a group that always caused a slight amusement to crawl against your features while attending potions and charms. A class that you looked forward to if only for that very reason, and now, you found yourself light on your feet as you strode down through Hogsmeade with a hope of finding the perfect gift.
With the fresh fallen snow to greet you, there was a cheery moment that captured you before throwing a wave over your shoulder in thanks. The paper bag in your grasp had you catching your lip between your teeth in thought.
It wasn’t long before you were in the dormitory, putting the finishing touches on the gift with a ribbon the color of moron. With a wave of your wand, the ends were perfecting curled only to find your feet with a breath. The details that came with the idea of secret santa was something of a dance, a moment that the students could come together one last time before the holiday where everyone seemed to put effort into themselves with the warm colors that danced among the enchanted ceiling.
Offering smiles to those that passed, you glanced around for a set of darker eyes, and a brilliant smile to match. It was the others with their cheerful sound, and warm expressions that had you glancing down in wonder at the lack of a presence that had you glancing around once more at the voice from behind.
‘Ah - there you are. Ashtyn, you’re one hard lady to find.’
Met with a smirk and a present that rested in his grasp.
‘Did we seriously get one another?’
The laugh came with a soft smile, reaching out to offer the gift that had your fingers brushing against one another while you accepted the one he had in his own grasp.
‘I wasn’t quite sure what to get you. I mean, i thought of giving myself, but .. wasn’t sure there was a big enough box.’
There was a shrug of his shoulders, and you immediately worked on hiding the blush that danced against the apples of your cheeks.
Sirius wasted no time tearing into the decorative paper, the ribbon tugged away before eyes narrowed faintly at the two items that rested inside though his attention had fingers grasping at the bone shape treat.
‘I thought your puppy side would appreciate it.’
A laugh was pushed from his lips, his head tilting faintly while longer hair brushed against his shoulders as if he was in debate for a moment.
‘Would you care to join me for a dance?’
‘I’d love to.’

Christmas is all around
On the third day of Christmas Stephanie gave to me - Ben and @blogofbethany watching love actually!
I must say - this was the first time I ever watched the movie, and completely loved it! If you haven't seen it, you definitely should! Hope you lovelies enjoy it, especially you, Beth.
‘It’s starting!’
The voice caught your attention when hands curled around the two warm mugs, adding the garnish of marshmallows before you were smiling. The sight of the tree lit, and the presents resting beneath was enough to bring a joy within your chest. That warmth that always found a home among so much more residing within you at the sight of the man that you called your own.
‘I’m here! I’m here!’
There was a playful tone to your words, handing off one of the mugs you were careful in finding your place by his side. Feeling him reach behind the two of you, it wasn’t long before a blanket was thrown over the two of you when the movie began.
Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion’s starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don’t see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it’s always there – fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge – they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around.
Every so often you would glance up at the man that had an arm draped over your shoulders, every so often planting a kiss against the top of your head and resting his cheek against the crown of your head. There were moments where you would catch him bearing something of concentration in his gaze, a curiosity present in his eyes.
‘What are you thinking about?’
The question seemed to stir him from his thoughts, a smile donning his lips before giving a faint shrug.
‘It’s just crazy to see what so many people are going through; finding love, losing love, rediscovering love. Love really is all around us.’
There was a slight enlightenment that surfaced, a soft twinge of a smile that danced against your lips at the hope that he would be adding the film to his own favorites for the season.
‘I .. will be right back.’
The sudden move had you finding a frown, a soft sigh escaping your lips as you watched the pieces put together on the screen. The relationships coming together, or falling apart as they were before your attention was stirred when the tall englishman made his presence known once more. It was what happened next that you weren’t expecting.
Watching him draw closer only to fall down on a knee, there was a faint gasp that had your lips falling parted in shock.
‘Beth … I know that it hasn’t been that long, but every day that I’ve spent with you have been the greatest that I’ve ever known. Days that have been marred only to be made better with your presence. I love you, and .. I know that there will only be amazing days with you.’
For a moment you just sat there in shock, lips parted without a sound.
‘Will you marry me?’
The four words came and you found yourself immediately jumping up, ‘Of course I will!’
With that you were embraced, spun around in joyment before you were greeted with a kiss.
Love really was all around.

All I want for Christmas
On the nineth day of Ben-mas Stephanie gave to me - Caspian and Katarina building a gingerbread house.
Here's a little sweetness for the holiday! I hope you lovelies enjoy it, especially you Katarina!
A week.
Seven days in counting until that magic day.
‘It’s the last one!’
The exclamation had everyone peering off into your direction when you braced the box against your chest in your own form of protest that it was yours, and yours alone. Somehow you had talked Caspian into coming out to look through the seasonal aisles of the local drug store. Christmas was a holiday that he loved like no else, though it was the crazies that seemed to frequent the stores at this time so close to the holiday that had him hesitant, though agreeing because you wanted to.
Of course that was two hours ago. The fun and games gone out the window when these jigsaw pieces started to show their ways and falling short when they should have been making those clean, neat walls to decorate.
‘Katarina .. you know I love you, right?’
The words began, your head lifting to see the disaster that was his side of the house compared to yours that were joined together without fail, and the icing already in place to begin adding the candy that was provided.
‘What’s wrong? Why is yours …’
With the unfinished question came a tilt of your head, a slight confusion riddling your features before your lips twisted faintly.
‘Why is mine .. what? It is perfect.’
Sitting up straighter within his chair, hands were placed against his hips in triumph only to hear the gingerbread begin to undo his hard work when it fell against the hard surface of the table.
There was an attempt to stifle your laughter, a hand raising to fall against your lips though the look in your eyes gave you away before you couldn’t quite find a way to contain yourself.
‘Is something funny, Kat?’
A seriousness intermingled with a playfulness in the form of a narrowed gaze, and a quirked brow. You tried, you really did, to stop the laughter from coming before you were offering something of a sympathic look.
‘Would you like my side?’
Watching the seriousness fade, there was something of a softness against his features as his head fell forward and his longer strands brushed against his cheek.
‘Why must you be so kind? It makes it much harder to do this.’
A confusion stretched the length of your features, ‘Do what?’
It only took a moment before there was shock in place of the confusion, the sticky sweet substance of the icing left lingering against your nose; his finger the culprit. It was the added garnish of a gumdrop that had you breathing out a laugh the moment that you attempted to get a good look at his creation.
‘How do I look?’
Striking a pose, you couldn’t help the smile that dotted your lips the moment that he reached out to wipe away the confection.
‘Perfect.’
The word was soft, a sweet gesture that had you leaning forward to steal a kiss.
‘Only when I’m with you.’
Words were whispered against his lips, the smile radiating against your own before finding the gingerbread house forgotten, and the night wrapped up in one another.

Just one kiss
Day two with Caspian under the Mistletoe
I had a lot of fun writing this! Fluff, fluff, and more fluff - I mean, it’s Caspian, come on! Hope you loves enjoy it <3
With Narnia at peace once again, everything felt just a bit more cheerful, and light. Of course, the season that approached did make a bit of a difference as well. A blanket of white covered the ground, a sight that easily made the King’s smile brighten just a bit more as he glanced over the kingdom. A slow breath was drug from his lungs the moment that he caught sight of you. The woman that had been his childhood friend, a girl that had all the adventure in the world in her veins, traveling through the masks of a world that they knew to be home. A girl that grew with grace and beauty, leaving every suitor after your hand and leaving the King with way too many competitors. The staff that scurried through the castle always saw how he looked at you, that look that would drown his features, a love that most hadn’t seen until he looked at you. While the boy that had grown into a man, the King that Narnia had needed to take the throne all along, it had been the companion that was lacking at his side that everyone wanted to see rectified. Evidence in the way that everyone glanced his way when he decided to find his steps among his people, knowing that while he bore a smile that it wasn’t as bright as it could be.
‘You know that the party will draw in all the eligible maidens.’
A soft laugh escaped the man’s lips, his gaze turning to peer over a toned shoulder at the older woman’s voice that had become a voice of reason in certain moments. A respectful nod fell from his head, a gentle smile tugging softly at a single corner of his lips before he was peering off from the window once more. His eyes settling against the heavy red coat that protected you from the cold breeze that had swept through that very morning.
‘There’s only one that I want by my side.’
The confession wasn’t news to the woman, her own smile showing through in remembrance of the two of your small forms racing through the snow bound streets. Winter had always been the two of your favorites, the way the cool air always brighten your cheeks and Caspian could use the opportunity to warm up your arms with his own warmth. It was always a welcomed moment, the blanket of white always causing that smile of the small boy brightening just a bit more and racing through the streets to get to you.
The reminder of the festivities gave a bit of hope, hating that he couldn’t spend the time that he once did with you with all the responsibilities that weighed heavy on his shoulders. Taking the opportunity to enjoy the time of year, a smile that met his eyes was soon in place as he took to the great hall. Green and red littered the halls, the lights that twinkled and left a warmth within the man’s chest. The invitations were sent off to each home, inviting all that occupied Narnia with a hope that if someone held a woe that it would be replaced with happiness the moment they stepped foot inside.
With day slowly turning to night, Caspian found his way toward his room to get ready. Donning his best, he heaved a sigh at the sight of the man that stood in front of him, only to peer at the lack of occupancy by his side. Once more you were on his mind, and that was when he heard it.
‘She just arrived your majesty.’
A brightness decorated each word, realizing that it was you that he was looking forward to seeing the most. There was no disguising the way a grin played out against his lips, the bolder expression that met those dark chocolate eyes before he was turning on his heel. The sounds were soon greeting him, laughter and cheerfulness echoing through the halls the moment that he stepped foot outside of his room. Taking in the scene he was happy to see the mingling of all Narnians, the smiles and happiness taking hold within the great hall, then his eyes fell on you.
You were always the one that found themselves in easy conversation, a soft smile against your lips as she spoke and a confidence in each step that you took. Of course, it was just who you were speaking to that had Caspian sucking in a deeper breath at the man that always seemed to be one step ahead of him. Dismissing the fail mood that suddenly took hold, steps were confident as he found his way into the crowd. Greeting each that he met, offering a shake of his hand and a smile it was you that he slowly found your way towards. Music took hold of the room, instantly finding pairings soaring through the room when he felt a hand taking his own. There was an immediate smile against the King’s lips, a hope that it was you that had become so bold only to find himself peering into a different set of eyes. With the smile still in place, albeit a bit duller, it was your gaze that he continued to catch, happy to find that you were finding his gaze all the same. Smooth movements gathered his partner around the floor only to find the silence once more to be music to his ears as he bowed in respectful thank you for the dance. It was in that moment that he took his chance, eying up the man that held your attention only to find his voice.
‘If I could borrow your companion for a moment.’
While he stood at your back you were confident just who the rich, deep voice belonged to. While time had swiftly passed that the two of you had found a moment to step, you were sure you would never forget his voice for as long as you lived. Thankful for the interruption, you were quick to offer a smile toward your companion only to find yourself wisped away by someone that your dreams consisted of. While you weren’t sure why, steps were leading the two of you outside. Drawing in a sharp breath at the cold air that took your breath away, it was the deposit of his heavy coat that had you smiling almost shyly at the man that you had known since childhood.
‘I’ve been trying to get you to myself all night.’
The confession had your peering up at him, a smile twinkling gently at the corners of your lips as the two of you trudged through the snowy garden. It was the sudden halt that caught you off guard, a confusion in your eyes as bouncy curls pooled over your shoulders. Watching him with a curiosity, it was the moment that he glanced up, that smile that you loved beaming from his lips as you followed his gaze to catch the mistletoe that hung overhead. It only took a moment before you realized what was happening when a set of cold hands captured your face and a soft kiss was placed against your lips.
‘I’ve been wanting to do that for so long.’
Words were produced in a breathy response, the presence of his forehead against your own as your eyes slowly opened to look at him.
‘What took you so long?’
The response had the man smiling, his eyes meeting your own before the soft flakes began to fall and in bask in the moment that your dreams were finally coming true.

It’s a wonderful life
Day one - Christmas decorating with Sirius Black
I can’t write this baby unless it’s AU. Therefore, Peter didn’t betray his friends, Sirius never felt the icy chill of Azkaban, and Harry got to know what it feels like to have a family - in other words, get ready for the feels, m’loves. Hope you guys enjoy <3
It was becoming that time of year once more. A time that came with lighter hearts, smiling children, and the spirit of giving. A time that while Sirius Black had hated at a time as a child, grew to love with the help of his friends, and those that had easily became family. A group of friends that were there, through thick and thin, standing by the young man as each of them grew into the men that they would become with time, experiences, and the knowledge of moving on through their mistakes. It was the presence of you that made it all the more better. Refusing to think of those darker times, instead concentrating on the days to come. He was sure he looked a bit brighter, a happier version of the man that once was.
Dark eyes sought out the scene that was falling into place, the presence of those that had buried themselves within his heart. Those of old friends, the sight of age beginning to show through, the love that warmed his heart, and home all the same. Taking a moment to take it all in, he wasn’t aware of the smile that danced softly against his lips, as his lean frame leaned against the door frame.
‘If I didn’t know any better I would say that someone is enjoying themselves.’
It was your voice, that soft, feathery sound that always had his smile growing and doing that much more when arms were enveloping him in a tender embrace. Aware of what the animagus had been through, images that he was sure played through your mind ever since that night that he fell vulnerable in your arms. The sounds of his Mother’s screams, the vile words that no doubt scorched in his mind and all you wanted was to comfort the man that had so easily captured your heart, wanting nothing more than to see that smile bold against his lips as it had been at Hogwarts. It was that youthful form that had caught your attention, that bold smirk that would creep against desirable lips, that you were sure had caught much more than just your attention. Of course, it would seem that you were the only one that pushed him away, never submitting to his wants, and ultimately finding yourself in a position that had made him want you that much more. That want to ensure that it was your hand that would ultimately fall into his own, fingers lacing together without hesitation or thought. Your lips that sought out his, and the image of your beauty that he sought out while waiting at the end of an aisle in the presence of all your friends and family.
‘What’s there not to enjoy?’
The deeper voice countered, his own arms looping against your own as he took in those that found laughter echoing against the walls coming from the other three men that gathered to speak of old times. Their companions strewn together in a heap of conversation while sipping on their warm beverages against the comfort of their worn couch. Resting back into the comfort of your warmth, it had been the presence of the children that had found themselves engrossed in conversation and smiling faces. The trio that had been known for all those accomplishments within Hogwarts, his God son, and the likes of the smaller bounds of joy that made each of you smile each morning with furthered joy in your hearts.
Sirius knew that he needed to take it all in. While your home was full of love, warmth and happiness to spare, he knew that with your friend’s absence would come the decorating. The twinkling of lights, the splashes of red and green thrown here and there, and the smell of cinnamon would be even more abundant than it already was. Christmas had always been a holiday that never seemed to settle well with the absence of his family. Finding himself never able to return to his childhood home, a forgotten absence within the pureblood house, that he was sure, only to find a home in the presence of his friends. Peering over at the three men, Sirius found himself reminiscing with the pranks that littered through the hall of Hogwarts. The map that had been produced in great stride, late hours and many amazing memories. It was those that he grew with that became his family, that of the smiling redhead that took a moment to pull the messy haired boy in for an embrace that had the longer haired man watching it all smiling all the more. A smile that fell hidden behind the mug that was pulled toward his mouth.
The hours flew without a blink of an eye, the goodbyes offered, the hugs given and the promise of seeing each other before the holiday spoken. Closing the door behind him, it was your disappearance that had a darker gaze narrowing only to find his ears filled with Christmas music. It only took a moment before the laughter surged forward, the realization of just how much work he had ahead of him in sight. Steps that would have normally been heavy at this time of year were light as he made his way through the hall, the soft creaking of the wood beneath his steps before he saw it. There you were against the floor, the strings of lights tangled all around you while you sat with a pout against your lips, and a gentle whine feeling the room as he entered.
Fighting off a laugh, he made his way inside, ‘You know .. I would much rather decorate you, than the house .. what do you say, doll?’ You couldn’t help the pout from falling away, a smile taking ahold of your lips as you watched him find a spot in front of you. The press of his lips against your own had your smile growing all the more, ‘I say .. the house can wait until tomorrow.’
The house could come later, all that mattered in that moment was him, and you had no issue in showing him that he meant more than the holiday that was beginning to peak into view.

Please come home for Christmas
Day 3 Holiday Movie with Ryan
I apparently can’t help myself but to embrace the fluff when it comes to certain characters, such as the wonderful Mr. Brenner. I do hope you guys enjoy this - I may have gotten a little emotional writing it. Ugh, I’m too much of a softie for my own good! <3
Christmas had always been Ryan’s favorite holiday. The colder weather that easily reminded him of home, the cool chill that bit at his cheeks and the condensation that flowed in the air with each exhale of his lungs. Maybe it was the reason that it reminded him of a life that he lived without fault. A life that many didn’t quite understand, even frowned upon, as he found his way from place to place upon the back of a train. Reminded him of the steam that would find a place among the dreary sky, eyes searching out the skies at the twinkling stars overhead. Most of all Christmas reminded him of his parents, of you. It was a holiday that came with the happier memories, the warmth and glowing smiles that could be seen a mile away. With all that gone, he found it within another, within you. He may have been gone for a while, tracking through the states without a single hesitation, and sending postcards each time that he stopped. His destination now was clear, that of determined steps that led him straight to you.
A sigh escaped your lips, teeth nipping at the tender flesh in hopes that it would dull the ache that fluttered in your heart. It had been too long, finding that presence that had been by your side a week at a time before that warmth was gone as quickly as it came. Sitting among the forms of your family, the laughter and voices fading into the background as you stared first ahead at the tv that silently played the Christmas classic ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’. Your family apparently noticed how you weren’t enriched in the conversation, your silence speaking louder than the spoken words and laughter surrounding you. There was an attempt at a smile, a hope of dismissing the usual banter that would come next, before you were sighing.
‘What is wrong with you? It’s Christmas Eve! There should be a smile against your lips.’
You knew what was coming, the expression against your eldest sibling’s features scrunching in an attempt to conjure more words, the thought process of a lecture coming full steam.
‘You’re surrounded by loved ones in warmth, smiles and laughter. ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ is playing on the tv, there’s little ones to remind you of the happiness that you should feel this time of year. Not to mention, there’s cheesecake in the fridge just waiting to be devoured …’
You were sure that the lecture had went on for multiple minutes, it was the drowned out by the black and white picture that peered back at you.
What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word, and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down.
Suddenly a smile was perched against your lips, a reminder of a certain traveler that had captured a certain beating organ long ago. That same organ that you wouldn’t allow any other to get close enough to, pushing away all that gave an attempt with a sweet smile, and steps that carried you far away. The silence that surrounded you was what brought you back, lips pursing before feigning what you hoped to be considered an innocent smile. A smile, while it didn’t quite reach your eyes, it was a smile nonetheless. A sight that apparently pacified your sibling.
‘That’s the spirit!’
With that you were up, finding your feet only to find boots clicking against the kitchen tile before you were reaching out for the counter. There was a sadness in you this time of year, something that could only be filled with a presence, and while your family brought you a warmth .. it just wasn’t quite the same. It had been the reason that without a word, your peacoat was thrown on before finding your steps once more toward the front door. Escaping the warmth of your childhood home meant that you were left to escape to the cold. A sharp air that instantly took your breath away, and took a moment for preparation, a hope that you would grow numb to the chill in the air that pierced through your festive leggings and solid sweater that was now hidden behind the heavy fabric of your coat. With a clear destination in mind, there was an energy found that you weren’t even sure that you had stored away.
There was a place, a special spot that the two of you had found long ago on another Christmas Eve much like this one. With the snow piled on the ground, the warmth gone from the Earth and leaving cheeks flushed with a promise to find warmth elsewhere. It was the lookout that always took your breath away, the lit homes that twinkled below with the annual tree that got lit each year standing in brilliance at the center of life. Swallowing thickly, you were soon sighing, a wish that a certain presence had been by your side. The only presence that you only hoped for, the spirit of someone that easily brought a smile to your lips, and true happiness radiating within your heart. A feeling that you only knew with him, finding the strength to wait whenever he found that need to take off; to venture out, and explore. A wait that tested a virtue that you knew nothing of, expect for when it came to him.
Taking in the sights of lit homes, music that ventured up toward where you stood only to find your gaze lifting to the moon. It was the one thing that always sought after, knowing that it was the one thing that was constant. The one thing that each of you could seek out in reminder that you were always there, waiting for the moment that you would see one another again.
Lost in your thoughts, it was the footsteps that came from behind that you were numb to. While the sound of heavy boots should have caught your attention, your thoughts were heavy with sadness before you heard it.
‘You want the moon? Just say the word, and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down.’
It was that southern drawl, a voice that you would easily recognize anywhere that had your eyes closing and a bright smile, for the first time that night, stretching the length of your lips. For a moment, you stood unmoving, afraid to turn around and see that it was all just a dream; a hallucination that your mind put together. It was the moment that you carefully turned, heels digging into the fresh snow that you saw him; a bright smile against his eyes, and deep eyes staring back at you. It took all you had, an energy that sparked within you, to not fall as you made your way to him; that of a partial run and hurry as you threw yourself into him. Arms instantly looped around his neck, your face burying into the side of his neck before you were pulled closed, and left your feet lift from the ground below you. It was all your sibling’s words, the reminders of just why you should have found a smile against your lips that came into view, finding that warmth that came with his presence as a soft sigh escaped you in contentment. It had been the moment that feet met the ground that you really took him in, that glow that shown about him radiant as you looked up at him.
‘How’d you find me?’
It was the smile that donned his features that had your eyes narrowing, that curiosity evident as his warm hands captured your face and looked at you with all the love in the world.
‘Your brother told me because I wasn’t here that you were all gloomy. That if I didn’t get my ass out here, that I was going to be the one gloomy.’
A laugh was soon shared, your head shaking in almost amusement that your sibling knew exactly why you had the long face instead of one that glowed with a warmth.
‘I’m glad you’re here. It’s not Christmas without you.’
Your words were soft, a breathy response that had eyes meeting one another before he was leaning in to capture your lips with his own, a soft whisper exhaled against your lips.
‘You are my Christmas.’

I will be getting them out! I'm giving myself the deadline of New Year's Eve, and there just may be a little New Year's surprise along with it. I do hope everyone is enjoying yourselves and having a wonderful day ❤️

Meet me under the mistletoe
On the first day of Christmas Stephanie gave to me - Nicky and @sallyp-53 under the mistletoe.
Christmas was always a big matter around your town. The sight of lights, decorations and the sounds of holiday music streaming through the speakers each time that you took care to find the perfect gift for those that you cared for.
Times were dangerous. While there was joy, that cheer in the air, there was the added sacrifice that so many took for granted when there wasn’t enough money to purchase those gifts that were to be presented on the morning that was supposed to be the most cheerful.
A breath escaped you, the cloud ascending at the movement only to find yourself moving a bit faster at the shadow that seemed to appear out of nowhere from behind. Maybe you could make a move, knock the person off balance before making a run for it. It was the reason that you halted, pausing in wait only to swing out and make contact when they go close enough.
‘Son of a bitch!’
The voice caught your attention, that immediate wince coating your features when you found yourself looking at the older version of a boy that had captured your heart so long before.
‘Oh my god! Nicky … I’m so sorry!’
‘Is this how you treat everyone you haven’t seen in a while?’
The comment came with a slight rubbing of his face, eyes narrowed as he pulled his hand away as if he expected there to be blood left behind.
‘Well, no, but … maybe you shouldn’t be sneaking up on people!’
Breathing out a laugh, there was a soft nod, ‘I guess you’re right.’
Feeling terrible, lips twisted as you began to walk, ‘Walk me to my car?’
‘You gonna hit me again?’
‘I guess that depends on you.’
With a smirk you started to walk once more, a hope that he would join you only to find yourself falling into a familiar pace with him. Those feelings bubbling to the surface once more and filling you with a warmth that you hadn’t felt in years. With arms clasped against your chest, you held onto the heat that settled there while the bags draped over your wrist.
‘This is me.’
You announced, approaching your vehicle only to note the smirk that laid against his lips, ‘I do know how you could make this shiner up to me.’
Leaning against your vehicle, there was a curiosity in your gaze, something that only surfaced a bit more when he approached with his hand buried within his pocket before the greenery was pulled free and presented above his head. Without a word, your hands were clasped against his jaw, fingers settling there without hesitation, and familiarity only to have you lips meet his own.
‘Merry Christmas, Nicky.’
Words were a mere whisper against his lips, before you were turning to pull into your vehicle, leaving him with his words and a smile against his lips as you pulled away.

Santa baby
On the second day of Christmas Stephanie gave to me - Ben and @shinebrightlikeafanbase looking at christmas lights.
There was an excitement that always emerged this time of year. The cheer, joy and the time that would be able to be spent with family was a huge reason for the holiday. It was the things that were always asked that had you flustered; ‘still alone, dear? Why haven’t you found someone yet? You still have time!’ While you loved the holiday there was this little wish that you could find someone that would share the joy with you.
‘Next in line!’
Words drew you from your thoughts, your family peering back at you before you were approaching the line only to be cut off by another. A look of confusion dotted your features, your lips parting only to press together at the rude behavior. Wanting to say something, but losing the focus of your words. It was the words of another that had you glancing up in almost utter shock.
‘Now, that was rude.’
Immediately, you noted the height difference only to find yourself almost gapping at the handsome features that peered off at the person that had so rudely cut in line. It was the steps forward of the man that caught your attention once more, finding his wallet where he was presenting the money for two tickets where he was kindly handing one off to you with a brighter expression.
‘While this doesn’t in the least make up for such behaviour this time of year … I do hope it helps at least a bit.’
The kindness had a soft blush creep against the apples of your cheeks, a tint that was only heightened by the cool weather that danced around everyone. Dismissing the glances that were cast your way, you took your luck into your own hands.
‘Would you .. like to join me?’
There was a shyness that surfaced, a soft tone that resonated before his smile brightened, stretching against his lips before he was nodding.
‘I’d love to.’
It wasn’t long before the two of you were walking through the lit festival, lights presented carefully on the trees nearby and the scenes that had a smile present more times than not. A slight shiver jolted down your spine, arms wrapping around yourself only to feel the touch of heavier material against your shoulders.
‘Oh no - I would hate for you to get sick. That just wouldn’t do.’
There was a moment where you hesitated, found yourself debating on giving it back only to find the end of the walkway. It was the looks of your family just ahead that had you breathing out, a sigh escaping before the handsome stranger spoke.
‘I guess this is where we part ways.’
A smile lingered on his lips, though there was a struggle against your own.
‘Though .. I would love to see you again. Maybe Friday night … dinner?’
A grin dotted your lips, nodding in answer as you moved to pull off the coat that was draped over your shoulders before he was stopping you.
‘Please, keep it. I have to have a reason so you won’t back out on me.’
Breathing out a laugh, lips pressed only to grin, ‘Wouldn’t dream of it.’
‘I’ll see you Friday, Eva.’
‘I look forward to it.’

White Christmas
On the fifth day of Ben-mas Stephanie gave me - Sirius and Bonita ice skating.
Every holiday was an important event among the castle, the decorations strewn throughout the halls with the nearing winter holiday. Being muggle born, there was an even brighter excitement in the air with the thought of seeing your family, and the time that would be spent at home during the holiday. There was one thought that had you feeling down. The sight of the dark haired boy that wouldn’t be as close by as he normally would be.
Sure, the two of you hadn’t made it official. Moments were shared, those that eyes would meet, and immediately finding that soft flush against your cheeks. A sight that would have you turning away, though told of the smirk that the attractive Gryffindor would wear at the reaction.
‘Come on, Bonita! You can’t say no! It’s your favorite time of the year .. besides, I heard Sirius may be there.’
It was evident what your friend was doing, an attempt to have you finding your way toward Hogsmeade where an ice rink was set up for the students' enjoyment. A plan that would have you skipping joyfully toward the site, though retrieving an owl that you would have to come home a day earlier than the rest you were stuck packing up your things to make the journey back home the next morning.
‘I wish I could.’
The sullen sound had your friend bearing a frown, an expression that she tried to hide with a smile that tugged slightly before you were left to your vices.
Moments passed when you found yourself packed for the journey ahead, your form rested against the end of your bed when you saw the twinkling lights. Eyes narrowed in curiosity when you stood, carefully finding your way through the hall toward a door that you’d never seen before. Pushing against the heavy material, it was the sight that awaited you that had you grinning from ear to ear.
‘I heard there was a pretty Gryffindor in need of a skating rink.’
Twinkling lights danced off the iced floor, your shoes suddenly producing blades as you glided along the slick surface.
A soft laugh escaped your lips, eyes searching for the voice that had caught your attention since the moment the sorting hat was placed on your head. The cheerful claps and shouts falling against your eardrums only to find your eyes glued to the more boisterous Gryffindor ever since. A boy that you shared a few moments with; glances, smiles, and even a wink that had you smiling for days on end.
The soft white flakes falling down only added to the experience, a moment that had you peering up in awe only to feel the collision and a soft gasp that sounded before you were met with a brilliant grin.
‘Well, hello there.’
‘Hello, yourself. What’s all this?’
The smile against his lips only had you seeking your own, his fingers lacing with your own before the two of you were gliding along the slick surface beneath your feet.
‘I heard someone was leaving me early.’
‘Leaving … you …’
There was a soft blush that brushed your cheeks, the heat causing you to turn your head only to feel fingers bringing it back.
‘I’ll miss my unicorn. And, yes .. I call you my unicorn; unique, and beautiful. That is if .. you’ll be mine..’
There was a smile that practically slit your cheeks, ‘Of course!’
A grin was cast back, eyes meeting your own before he was pulling you into him playfully.
‘I shall be waiting for the holiday to be over to see you again.’
‘And, i’ll be counting down the minutes.’
Sure, Christmas was your favorite, but you found something else that tallied just as high in the form of a rebellious Gryffindor with a beautiful smile.
