Nick Swisher and JoAnna Garcia Swisher Selling Their Tampa Mansion for $3M
Emma McIntyre/Getty Images
The World Series champ Nick Swisher and his wife, the actress JoAnna García Swisher, have opted to let go of their winning Tampa, FL, mansion. It’s on the market for $3 million.
The couple purchased the property for $2.96 million in 2010, the year they tied the knot.
Although the property hasn’t appreciated much over the past decade, the asking price looks as if it was pitched just right. The home is pending sale after less than two weeks on the market.

Built in 2009, the Mediterranean mansion offers five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and four half-bathrooms on 7,495 square feet.
The home is located in Avila, a guard-gated country club community. On just under an acre, it’s accessed by a circular paved driveway. Guests enter through arched double doors into a three-story rotunda, with a dramatic staircase of ornamental iron and marble, which leads to the main- level rooms, all overlooking the landscaped grounds.
The open interior features a living area, wet bar, dining room, a chef’s gourmet kitchen with an island and seating, and a breakfast counter.
Other highlights include a formal office, downstairs master suite, and a guest suite, as well as a powder room covered in dog-themed wallpaper.
A mahogany elevator leads to the upstairs area, with three more en suite bedrooms and balconies, as well as a Juliet balcony. This level also features a theater room with an entertainment bar and half-bathroom. A laundry room includes a dog wash.
The outdoor features include a free-form pool, a lanai with a summer kitchen, and lush landscaping. A four-car garage completes the property.
The couple seems to have a taste for real estate. They have also flipped two homes in Los Angeles, including a remodeled villa in Beverly Hills that they sold for $10.3 million last month, after buying it less than two years ago for just under $6 million, according to Variety.
They reportedly sold a century-old estate from L.A.’s Windsor Square neighborhood for $8.7 million in an off-market deal in 2019.
The All-Star also placed his Scottsdale, AZ, condo on the market in 2015, initially asking $2,049,500. But the slugger struggled to find a buyer for years, and finally let the place go in 2019 for $1.5 million.
Now 40, the outfielder played for the Oakland Athletics, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Atlanta Braves, and the New York Yankees, winning the 2009 World Series with the Yanks. After retiring in 2017, the 2010 All-Star became an analyst with Fox.
JoAnna is a longtime actress known for playing Vicki Appleby in “Freaks and Geeks,” Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery in the show “Reba,” and more recently for her star turns in ABC’s “The Astronaut Wives Club” and “Sweet Magnolias” on Netflix. She’s also appeared in movies such as “American Pie 2” and “The Internship.”
Dianne Martin with Century 21 Affiliated holds the listing.

‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Stars Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert Selling $3M SoCal Home
Rick Rowell/Walt Disney Television/Getty
Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, stars of “Bachelor in Paradise,” are selling their blissful home in San Juan Capistrano, CA, for $3 million.
The couple, who met on the reality spinoff series in 2015, married in 2016, and have seen their family expand over the years. They welcomed a third child in November, and may also need to expand their living quarters.
The home was purchased in 2018 for $1.61 million, and its markup may speak to the custom touches that the couple have added to the cool contemporary build from 2017. The master closet is so spacious, Jade reportedly gave birth there to their son Brooks.

The couple opened their home to People magazine in 2019, and revealed that they had worked with the decorators Caitlin Wright and Hannah Rodriguez of Realm Design Co. to bring a “’cool, earthy California’” look to the Orange County abode.
Their stylish choices are apparent in the home’s listing photos, and it quickly grabbed the attention of a buyer. After just days on the market, the home is already in contingent sale status.
The couple have shared social media snaps of their family enjoying the open, airy space.

Private and gated, the five-bedroom estate opens to fountains that flank the front doors. The 4,408-square-foot floor plan features a center interior courtyard with a fountain and loggia, which brings natural light into the interior spaces and blends indoor and outdoor living.
A sunny great room boasts vaulted ceilings with distressed wood beams, wide-plank French oak floors, and six sets of doors to the outdoor entertaining areas.
An adjoining gourmet kitchen features a large center island and breakfast bar, quartz countertops, and stainless Thermador appliances.
There’s also a guest suite and a powder room on the main floor.
Upstairs, the master suite has a deck and sitting area, as well as an opulent bathroom with soaking tub, walk-in shower, and the famed walk-in closet that has doubled as a delivery room. The upper level comes with three more bedrooms with walk-in closets and en suite bathrooms.
Other elements of the home include the highly designed office with its squiggle-print wallpaper and mod light fixture, a laundry room, and a three-car garage.
Set on a quarter of an acre, the outdoor oasis expands the living space outside, and comes with a fire pit, cabana with outdoor kitchen, barbecue, refrigerator, TV, sound system, and retractable overhead awning. The professionally landscaped space offers mature olive trees, low-maintenance artificial turf, and outdoor lighting. The spread also sports a saltwater pool and spa.
Located within the gated community of Oak Farms, the luxury home is one of 32 residences among coastal oaks, grassy fields, and an equestrian center.
The couple met as castmates on Season 2 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” the summer spinoff of “The Bachelor,” and quickly fell in love. A whirlwind televised courtship continued into real life, and they married in 2016.
Jade co-hosts the podcast “Mommies Tell All” with her fellow “Bachelor” alum Carly Waddell. Last year, she made headlines when she scored first place with the DraftKings Millionaire Maker event, banking $1 million that was later revoked, on the grounds that she had cheated. Tanner’s day job is selling cars.
Dean Lueck with Compass holds the listing.

Neutra’s Branch House in L.A. Gets an Update for 21st-Century Living
Daniel Dahler for Sotheby’s International Realty
A substantially renovated midcentury modern home in Los Angeles originally designed by architect Richard Neutra is on the market for $4,325,000.
The Austrian-born modernist designed marvelous homes throughout Southern California, and his acclaimed works include the fabled Kaufmann Desert House in Palm Springs, which is still available for $19.75 million.
Built in 1942, this L.A. home is known as the Russell and Elizabeth Branch house. And although it was built in the ’40s, the space has since morphed into a modern design for the 21st century.

The original owners benefited from having one of the first houses in the neighborhood, notes listing agent Angela Roessel, of Sotheby’s International Realty. Because they were trailblazers in this part of town, they were able to choose primo placement.
“It’s elevated above the others,” says Roessel. Nestled into a cul-de-sac in the lush tree canopy of Upper Nicholas Canyon, the walled compound affords its residents ultimate privacy.
Neutra, known for his attention to the natural surroundings, perfectly positioned the home with a south-facing wall of windows, expanding the living space outdoors and essentially creating an outdoor living room.
Following a major transformation by the design firm Minarc, the wall of windows completely disappears on one side of the house, opening the dwelling to merge the indoor and the outdoor space.
The sellers, who are art collectors, purchased the property in 2016 for $2.2 million. They’ve since transformed the space into a “livable piece of art,” says Roessel.
It opens to a series of courtyards with sitting areas. Guests enter the home to a great room bookended by a dramatic fireplace and a high-end, open Boffi kitchen.
The yard is highlighted by a terrace with a colorful ceramic mural, a pool with a baja shelf and spa, a barbecue, and a loggia with a fire pit.
A second level was added by a previous owner. That’s where you’ll find the master suite, with sitting areas, a private balcony, walk-in closet, and bath.
Other standout amenities within the 3,356-square-foot home include a library and screening room, two more bedrooms with access to outdoor spaces and baths, and an office that could be used as an extra bedroom.
Architectural details include wide-plank floors, automatic drapes, and built-in shelves.
”Humble” is how the original design of the “small, two-bedroom” with white stucco and redwood siding is described.
Humble no more, Neutra’s design decisions still imbue the plush space.
“You sit inside, and go out into the yard the way Neutra set it, it’s super private,” Roessel says. “The whole yard becomes your living room.
“It’s as private as being inside. It’s a fabulous combination of what he started with, and taking it to the next level,” she says.

Poison Frontman Bret Michaels Close to a Sale of His Rockin’ Scottsdale Home
realtor.com, Paul Archuleta/FilmMagic
Bret Michaels, the frontman for Poison and a reality TV regular, is rocking a sale of his Scottsdale, AZ, mansion. The property has found a buyer and is currently in contingent sale status. It hit the market last November for $3,299,000—and the price never budged.
The musician purchased the place in 2006 for $2.2 million. The home—a showcase of the rock star’s intriguing tastes—was featured on a 2008 episode of “MTV Cribs.”
The sprawling spread on 5 acres is described in the listing as a “playground,” and is tricked out with “resort-like features” including sand volleyball, a basketball court, a large pool with a waterfall and slide, and a private dirt-bike trail. For families with young children or grandchildren, the yard includes a play structure and trampoline.

You enter into the “Cabo-style” resort home via an arched doorway. Built in 1994, the home features tile and hardwood flooring, exposed beam ceilings, and a living room decorated with guitars and a sign that reads, “It’s Only Rock and Roll, Baby.”
That same sentiment has been spotted in another of Michaels’ homes, in Calabasas, CA. Perhaps it’s his trademark design or a prized possession.
A formal dining room includes a built-in sideboard. The kitchen features a large island, multiple ovens, and a walk-in pantry.
The office includes built-in bookshelves, and currently displays the owner’s music industry memorabilia, along with more guitars, which grace many of the rooms in the house.
A family room includes built-ins and a fireplace, and access outside. Meanwhile, the master bedroom comes with a sitting area, sliding glass doors, and a bathroom with double sinks and a separate tub and shower.
Other perks include a gym, and outdoor space with room for a pool table and a lounge area. Lush landscaping and fountains surround the patio and pool. The gated property also includes a four-car garage.
Michaels’ metal band, Poison, whose heyday was the mid-’80s to mid-’90s, sold well over 45 million records worldwide and 15 million records in the United States alone.
More recently, the musician has become a reality TV star, known for shows such as “Rock of Love” and “Celebrity Apprentice 3.” He also competed as the Banana on the third season of “The Masked Singer.” He finished in seventh place.
Michaels, 57, has experience rockin’ in the real estate arena. In the past, he’s developed and sold upscale homes in California communities both in Calabasas and Westlake Village.
Apparently, he’s not leaving the desert and is on to his next project in Scottsdale, Mansion Global reports.
Bob Nathan with Engel & Voelkers Scottsdale holds the listing.

Sportscaster Joe Buck Quickly Snags a Buyer for His Luxe St. Louis Home

The sportscaster Joe Buck made quick work of his home in St. Louis, MO. After just four days on the market, the $3,295,000 mansion has received multiple offers and is now in “pending sale” status.
Buck, 51, purchased the property in the Ladue area back in 2013, for $2.36 million. Eight years later, the pristine property has been impeccably updated to suit a family of sports fans.

The co-listing agent, Julie Buck Brooks, a relation of Buck’s, adds, ”The property is situated on 6 private acres in the heart of Ladue—which is not something you find every day. The fantastic outdoor room, with a stone fireplace and pool, provide ample entertaining space.”
The 10,269-square-foot residence features six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms on three levels. Close to the city’s exclusive Bogey Golf Club, the estate features an open living plan and an idyllic outdoor setup.
The co-listing agent, Megan Rowe, calls the property “the epitome of luxury.”
She adds, “This home is incredibly popular, due to the unique floor plan. It’s hard to find a luxury home with a ‘ranch’ feel, which provides an open floor plan and main-floor living.”
The high-ceilinged entry flows naturally into the living room and formal dining room. The sunny great room includes a fireplace and two sets of French doors leading outside.
A large eat-in kitchen is equipped with a center island, breakfast bar, and built-in banquette. The office on the main level—which currently showcases the award-winning sportscaster’s multiple Emmys—includes built-in bookshelves and a unique barrel ceiling.
The private master suite, a spacious escape, offers views of the grounds, a luxury bathroom, and two walk-in closets. Four en suite bedrooms are on the main level, and two upstairs, along with a family room.
On the lower level, an owner can easily host game-day parties in a lounge area with a wet bar and wine cellar, as well as a full bathroom. The two exercise spaces should satisfy any fitness-minded owner.
Outside, the perks include a patio with a stone fireplace, built-in grill, pool, and spa, all overlooking the grounds.
The family hasn’t moved far. Last year, Buck and his wife, Michelle Beisner, reportedly upgraded to a massive estate nearby for $4.5 million.
The son of the late sportscaster Jack Buck, Joe grew up in the St. Louis area. He announces for Fox Sports, providing play-by-play commentary for the NFL and MLB. He also serves as the play-by-play announcer for the World Series. Beisner is a feature reporter for ESPN.
Rowe and Buck Brooks, both with Dielmann Sotheby’s International Realty, hold the listing.
