GUIDE AL LYSANDER EPISODE 5
I posted the french version too
Hello! Here is the solution of the dialogues! You also have the french version ❤️
2 possible illustrations : one with Lysander and one with Castiel and Lysbaby (NSFW)
1° Castiel: It's unbelievable. We'll never change you, will we...
A. Yes, one day he'll forget his head! B. It's not for lack of trying... C. Why would we want to change him? It's perfect! (+5 with Lysander)
2° Castiel: So, I didn't even kiss you!
A. Don't worry, it's not necessary. B. Well, what are you waiting for then? C. What do you mean? Don't I get a hug, too? (+5)
3° Castiel: Even if in your case, Sucrette, you don't really have the choice to refuse I think...
A. It's not like I can kick you out now that you're here... (-5) B. Don't worry, I wouldn't have refused even if I had the choice (+0) C. You're kidding! You can stay as long as you want (+5)
4° Candy : (I hadn't done much work... I was busy looking at it while daydreaming...)
A. (One thought led to another, my gaze slipped to Lysander) (POSSIBLE ILLUSTRATION WITH LYSANDER) B. (I wonder how Castiel is doing...) C. (But this time there are two of them... Twice as many reasons to let my gaze wander (+5 with Castiel) (POSSIBLE ILLUSTRATION WITH LYSANDRE AND CASTIEL)
5° Castiel: If ever it doesn't start again with Crowstorm...
A. I'm sure Lysander would be happy to have you on the farm! He has plans for the future... (+0) B. You want to talk about it again? (+5 with Castiel) C. It would be Coll if it didn't start again! (-5)
6° Castiel: To see if you like it, if you want to do things together again...
A. It doesn't commit you to anything, Lysander: it could be fun to try... (+5 with Castiel and Lysander) B. I could do it! C. Don't you think it would be easier to find someone who is already motivated?
7° Castiel: So this is the perfect opportunity for both of us to get back on stage!
A. Maybe you should have started there...? (+0) B. It's true that it's the ideal occasion... (+5 with Castiel) C. But you tried to con him by taking him by the feelings, there? (-5)
Before you go to the Salon to help Lysander and Castiel prepare a song for the concert, go to the Meadows! Auntie will give you a cute straw man! 🍁
8° Castiel: It's a bit...weird? To put the name of the band in a song? A. I don't think so. At least it's consistent (+5 with Lysander) B. Personally, I think it's a bit weird too, yes (-5 with Lysander) C. It's happened before... Not often, but it has happened (-5 with Castel)
9° Candy : Wait, I might have something...
A. I hope Zack dies...So does Leo (I laughed so hard at the one 😂 SAVAGE) B. I broke my ties...From a storm of crown C. I heard the lies...But I kept my oath (+5 with Castiel and Lysander)
10° Candy : (The atmosphere is completely crazy, the crowd is unleashed)
A. (I can't take my eyes off Castiel.) B. (My gaze keeps going from Lysander to Castiel) (POSSIBLE ILLUSTRATION WITH CASTIEL AND LYSANDER) C. (I am unable to take my eyes off Lysander) (POSSIBLE ILLUSTRATION WITH LYSANDER)
11° Castiel: In the end, I am very happy, when I see you both.
A. (There was a silence. Maybe I should go out) (ILLU NSFW) B. (Well, I've heard enough.) (ILLU LYSANDER)
11.1° If answer A to 11: A. (Even though there is no way anything will happen with Castiel, obviously) B. (I wouldn't mind a rapprochement against a...rapprochement. If Lysander is tempted...) (ILLU NSFW)
11.2° If B to 11.1 A. (The impression that it is the ideal moment to try something new; a new experience) (ILLU NSFW) B. (But it makes me a little uncomfortable too, it's better to go to sleep soon)
11.3. A. (And he doesn't like the idea, better to go back) B. (And he likes the idea, and that turns me on even more) (ILLU NSFW 👀)
Lysander: I remember it like it was yesterday... Do you remember what I said to you then?
A. Did you say something particularly memorable to me? B. You said you were delighted to meet me (ILLUSTRATION LYSBABY PROPOSAL) C. You told me you weren't a ghost.
If I made any mistakes or if you have any solutions, don't hesitate to leave me a message!
Don't hesitate to like and share! Thanks ❤️❤️

Harp 101
It's a cliché at this point, but strings (especially the violins) are typically described as the main meal of the orchestra while everybody else is "seasoning" the further back you go on the stage. To be fair, it's not an inaccurate way to describe what each section usually contributes to the orchestra.
But whereas some sections (i.e. trumpets / trombones / tubas) have fewer classical pieces to work with because their instruments were developed last, the harp is an ancient instrument. So why hasn't it been incorporated into a ton of western classical music?
For one, the harp is pretty easy to drown out within an orchestra. This is especially true of pieces composed from the 1900s onwards, as those often put the loudest instruments at the forefront. (You could also say this is why the recorder hasn't found a place in the modern orchestra and why it's now been relegated to a childhood novelty and a laughing stock, despite being so prominent in the medieval period... Is it obvious how bitter I am about the recorder's status these days? LOL)
For another, the concert harp as it looks now is cumbersome and inconvenient. It weighs from 70 to 90 pounds, needs to be pushed around on a trolley, and takes up so much space. And the mere anxiety of lugging it around, knowing how some are made with 23-karat gold and cost upwards of 50,000 USD... That alone makes potential students (or, more accurately, their parents) want to avoid the instrument.
Long story short: The harp is one of the least popular instruments in the orchestra. But it's not hated. Certainly, I think most people can agree that it sounds beautiful (the typical go-to adjective is "heavenly"; in fact, I googled out of curiosity and realized there are 11.2 million results for "heavenly harp").
But its rarity means that available compositions are pretty limited. Some composers were capable of writing very well for the harp (like those two frenemies Debussy and Ravel), but there weren't a ton of them. As a result, harpists tend to play transcriptions (covers, basically) of pieces made for other instruments.
On the other hand, the harp has a rich repertoire within the realm of folk music! But before we look into that, let me just describe the most common harp types real quick.
LAP HARP (a.k.a. HARPSICLE)
Some of the smallest and cheapest harps you can find, and usually what parents first buy their kids (though some teachers don't recommend them). A lap harp is around 5lbs and has 26 strings with a 3.5-octave range. They're very convenient but do require some skill in transcription because of their limited range.
LEVER HARP (a.k.a. CELTIC HARP)
With around 36 strings and a span of nearly five octaves, the lever harp is what teachers would typically recommend as a foundation for students. They can be played sitting down or standing up, and their design hearkens back to harps used in the ancient Celtic nations (present-day Ireland, Scotland, and Wales). Above the strings are levers, which raise the pitch of each string by a semitone. They enable the harpist to play sharps and flats. Despite being the preferred "starting point" for budding harpists, lever harps aren't a mere training tool. They are the most widely used harp type among folk musicians.
PEDAL HARP (a.k.a. CONCERT HARP)
The largest of the family, weighing around 70-90lbs with 47 strings and a range of 6.5 octaves. These are the harps used in classical music. In place of levers, which you have to adjust for every string, this harp has seven pedals (one for each pitch class: C, D, E, F, G, A, B) across all the octaves. This requires a somewhat different type of training, as the feet are now incorporated into the way the instrument is played.
Not all harpists own each harp. Especially not the pedal harp, which is sometimes worth more than the apartments where pro harpists actually live. But if you can play one, you can play all of them (with some degree of awkwardness at the start, of course).
Earlier, I mentioned the usage of harp in folk music. So, before we wrap this up, let me talk a bit about the mariachi harp.
You can see that it looks very similar to a lever harp. They have roughly the same number of strings, can be played in the same positions, and use levers. But one of the most striking differences is how the strings on the mariachi harp are much closer together. This design accommodates the mariachi style of playing, which traditionally uses the fingernails rather than the fingertips and is often lightning-fast.
This harp plays a prominent role in Mexican folk music, especially among bands from Veracruz. Here is the ensemble Tlen Huicani in concert:
youtube
So, you know, even if it's considered "seasoning" in a classical orchestra, it can be the main course elsewhere!

Some other TB information because, International TB day,
TB is the second deadliest infectious disease globally
TB is in the top ten leading causes of death globally
TB is thought to be responsible for the deaths of 1/3 of the people with HIV/AIDS
MDR-TB rose for the first time since record keeping on MDR-TB began (c. 2004) in 2022
Covid-19 overtaking TB as most deadly diseasse is recent (as in months as I understand it)
TB cases rose during the pandemic
TB can occur pretty much anywhere, not just your lungs but it is pulmonary in something like 80%? maybe more, stats vary depending on source and if you’re talking adults, children or everyone, of cases, making the focus on pulmonary instead of extra-pulmonary reasonable but possibly a problem
US has never done routine vaccination for TB (there is a whole logic to this)
The BCG Vaccine ( Bacillus Calmette–Guérin) is not entirely perfect, unfortunately. Can also be used for Leprosy though. It was also some what discovered by accident, I belive. Calmette and Guérin were trying to do something else, and it involved potatoes and then realised they could potentially be onto something with a TB vaccine. Can’t precisely remember all the details but fun fact there.
There is written evidence thought to be referring to TB that is as old as 3,300 years in India
The age of TB’s ancestor is in the millions, TB itself is thought to be around 70,000 years old, but the term wasn’t coined until the mid-19th century- pushing out Phthisis. (Kind of, ‘Tubercles’ as a term is at least c18, but it’s not really being used specificially for TB as we know it)
There was a some thought that corsets contributed to a higher death rate from TB of women in late c19/early c20 Italy. (They also used that English women didn’t die at a significantly higher rate than English men and had mostly stopped wearing corsets at this point. Not to start up a corset debate though it’s just interesting.)
We all knew this, but mask wearing is not new. And we weren’t being told to wear them while in bed this time.
In New York in 1907 11.2% of all deaths were from TB (all forms). The highest cause of death was “all other causes” at 21.0% and the third highest was Pneumonia (all forms) at 9.8%. (I have another stat I like more but I can’t remember where I found it so have this less impressive one)
The big one we all know, TB impacted fashion trends, at least in Western Europe and the US, was thought to make you more creatively talented, and gave you a bigger libido. Or so they thought.
Anyway TB isn’t gone
#tuberculosis#TB#international tuberculosis day#international tb day#if you want sources for anything lmk#i should have them it's mostly my diss research so it shouldn't be deep to track it down

Appendix C in Faletra's translation of Geoffrey of Monmouth's History of the Kings of Britain
My feelings on the various excerpts from other texts included in Appendix C of Michael Faletra's translation of Geoffrey's Historia regum Britanniae. These focused on the arc of King Arthur's development and are all very short excerpts, often just a long paragraph.
A quick plug for a fantastic Arthurian podcast I stumbled upon earlier this week, Eavesdropping On Arthurians. The very first episode is a professor talking with the podcaster about all these texts and more, as well as how to pronounce them, and the early references to Arthur. It was an informative and interesting listen, I really recommend it if you're interested in any of these texts or pre-Galfridian Arthur. (The second episode is about Geoffrey of Monmouth's depiction of many powerful women in his texts, who he presents as pretty much universally positive. Theoretically as a way to support Empress Matilda's bid for the throne. Also a worthwhile listen.)
From Aneirin, The Gododdin
This is the single poem that mentions Arthur; it's considered the first extant reference to the figure of Arthur. I talked about Y Gododdin in this post if you want the poem and more details on the full text.
From What Man is the Gatekeeper? (Pa gur yw y porthor?)
This one's neat! It's not even the entire poem. I've ordered a copy of the Black Book of Carmarthen and will be reading it in its entirety and context once that arrives. This is an early Brythonic poem where the poet describes Arthur and his band as vanquishers of a variety of supernatural monsters. This one has been estimated as being from the 10th century originally, and gives us Kay (as "Kei the fair") and Bedivere (as "the accomplished Bedwyr" by the side of Arthur in battle), and describes Arthur as laughing as he fought and killed "by the hundreds".
From The Stanzas of the Graves
Another one from the Black Book of Carmarthen. This talks about the resting places of many different legendary Cymric heroes, and mentions Arthur in the line "But the world's marvel indeed is the grave of Arthur". Pretty short excerpt, nothing much to respond to here.
From Triodd Ynys Prydein: The Welsh Triads
Faletra notes that these are probably mnemonics for bards, and the professor in the above-mentioned podcast agrees with this. It mentions Arthur, Mordred's betrayal, and the battle of Camlann. Very brief excerpt.
From The Legend of St. Goeznovius (Legenda Sancti Goeznovii)
Faletra writes that this text might date from around 1019. The short excerpt he includes (just about a paragraph) talks about Vortigern, Arthur as a king (possibly written before Geoffrey's Historia depicted Arthur as a king, which is interesting because most sources I've read say he was just written as a general or war-leader before Geoffrey's History).
From William of Malmesbury, The Deeds of the Kings of the English (Gesta Regum Anglorum)
The first English historian to mention Arthur, apparently; unlike the Legenda Sancti Goeznovii, William describes Arthur as a warlike military leader with great prowess in the battlefield. He also mentions Ambrosius and Vortigern. Another brief paragraph of an excerpt.
From Caradoc of Llancarvan, The Life of Gildas (Vita Gildae)
Written in the early to mid twelfth century. It's one I want to read in its entirety, I think. The excerpt shared by Faletra talks about "the holy Gildas" who "loved the king (Arthur) dearly, striving always to obey him", though his twenty-three brothers were very rebellious against Arthur and won several battles against him. Arthur manages to kill the eldest brother eventually, and Gildas grieves and weeps about this, but also prays for Arthur at the same time, apparently because he's a proper Christian saint.
From Gerald of Wales, The Description of Wales (Descriptio Kambriae), 11.2
The second Gerald excerpt. He writes to try to reconcile the lack of records of Arthur as king prior to Geoffrey of Monmouth. He postulates that Gildas (of Vita Gildae, above) threw all of the books about Arthur and cast them into the sea because he was so upset about his brother's death, so that's why no one can find any "accurate account" of Arthur prior to Geoffrey of Monmouth's work.
From Gerald of Wales, The Education of Princes (De Principis Instructione Liber), 1.20
Third Gerald excerpt, but not from the Kambriae this time. He describes the supposed discovery of Arthur's tomb, and really emphasizes "look, it's really totally King Arthur's tomb, I inspected it myself, he's not coming back". He also posits that Avalon is Glastonbury Tor, and that's where Morgan took Arthur after the Battle of Camlann.
From William Caxton's Preface to Sir Thomas Malory Le Morte Darthur
I really just skimmed this one, as I'm not chronologically to Morte in my "read all the core Arthurian texts" quest and figured I'd end up reading Caxton's preface when I got to the point of reading Malory. Caxton argues that Arthur was a real person and was a king.

Widespread Apprehension About the Future
The present is a time of overwhelming interest to all living. Rulers and statesmen, men who occupy positions of trust and authority, thinking men and women of all classes, have their attention fixed upon the events taking place about us. They are watching the relations that exist among the nations. They observe the intensity that is taking possession of every earthly element and they recognize that something great and decisive is about to take place - that the world is on the verge of a stupendous crisis. - Prophets and Kings, 537 (c. 1914). LDE 11.1
The calamities by land and sea, the unsettled state of society, the alarms of war, are portentous. They forecast approaching events of the greatest magnitude. The agencies of evil are combining their forces and consolidating. They are strengthening for the last great crisis. Great changes are soon to take place in our world, and the final movements will be rapid ones. - Testimonies for the Church 9:11 (1909). LDE 11.2

Timber is a sustainable building material with the lowest environmental impact. Besides this, it does not harm the ozone layer, as it is devoid of wood treatments and paints. Organic materials and fibers are produced without any harmful chemicals and pesticides, thereby making them better for health and the environment.
The sustainable construction materials market report by TMR highlights factors that drive as well as restrain the demand for these green materials. The report also captures the latest trends and opportunities in the market.
Sustainable Construction Materials Market - Key Takeaways
Interior Materials Dominating Sustainable Construction Materials Industry
Interior materials include products that are used for furnishings, finishes, and structural elements. They are employed for the creation of energy-efficient, healthy, and environmentally-friendly indoor environments.
Sustainable interior materials comprise reclaimed wood, bamboo, recycled metal, eco-friendly insulation, and natural fiber carpets. They are designed and used for propagating eco-friendly indoors.
The last few years have seen noticeable improvement with regard to R&D in sustainable construction materials. Thus, innovation in material science production techniques is boosting the sustainable construction materials market size.
Conducive Regulatory Policies and Lower Maintenance Expenses Fueling Sustainable Construction Materials Market Growth
Governments of various countries across the globe are enacting stringent environmental regulations in order to lower carbon emissions and minimize the adverse impact on the environment.
In line with this, the building & construction sector is aiming to improve energy performance in buildings, decrease the carbon footprint of building materials, and increase investments in energy efficiency initiatives.
Implementation of regulations such as building codes can help reduce carbon emissions and ensure that new buildings are energy efficient and cost effective. Companies operating in the building & construction sector are also procuring materials from local sources in order to cut down upon transportation.
The Paris Agreement aims to limit global warming to less than 2°C above the pre-commercial levels, with efforts to limit growth to 1.5°C.
The EU Green Deal constitutes a comprehensive plan to make the EU climate neutral by the year 2050. This encompasses initiatives for promoting energy efficiency in buildings and makes usage of sustainable materials mandatory.
The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) also incorporate SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) that focus on sustainable building practices.
Regional Outlook
Europe – The Sustainability Partner
The sustainable construction materials market in Europe is witnessing significant growth due to robust support provided by governments of countries in the region. For instance, the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) promotes the adoption of eco-friendly building materials.
Increase in awareness regarding the benefits of using sustainable materials and implementation of strict building regulations and codes are also augmenting market development in Europe.
North America – The Growth Partner
North America accounted for vital sustainable construction materials market share in 2023, largely due to the high demand for insulation, roofing, framing, and several other commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure-oriented applications in the U.S. and Canada.
Expansion in the building & construction sector and lower cost of energy in the region are also augmenting market progress in North America.

Court reporter — O'Connors Texas
Hearings
COMMENTARIES CHAPTER
I.GENERAL E.
TYPES OF HEARINGS §3.4
Prepare reporter's record.
The court reporter must prepare the reporter's record for appeal when requested by a party.
See TRAP 13.l(d); see also Gov't Code §52.046(a)(5) (if requested, court reporter must furnish transcript of reported evidence or other proceedings); TRAP 35.3(b) (responsibility for filing reporter's record).
§4. HEARING ON MOTION
The court will not always hold a hearing before ruling on a motion.
The term "hearing" does not necessarily mean a personal appearance before the court or an oral presentation to the court. Martin v. Martin, Martltl & Rlduuu, Inc., 98_9 S.W.2d 357,359 (Tex.1998).
If the court conducts a hearing, it will not always permit the parties to introduce evidence.
Some rules provide for a hearing or submission date as a way of creating a deadline for filing the reponse (e.g., motion for summary judgment).
§4.1 Hearing for argument only. If a rule prohibits oral testimony at the hearing, the bearing is for argument only.
When the hearing is for argument only, the party can submit a motion for the court's decision without actually making an appearance to argue the motion in court.
For example, the summary-judgment rule states: "No oral testimony shall be received …. " TRCP 166a(c). Because no evidence is presented at a summary-judgment hearing, the court can decide the motion on the pleadings, without an appearance by the attorneys before the court. See "Hearing on submission," ch. 7-B, § 11.2, p. 727. A hearing for argument only does not need to be recorded by a court reporter.
See O'Connor's Texas Appeals,
"Reporter's record not necessary," ch. 6-C, §3.2, p. 248.
§4.2
Hearing for evidence. When a hearing is for the receipt of evidence, it should be recorded.
I. Hearing required.
A few rules require the trial court to hold a hearing to receive evidence before ruling.
For example, TRCP 165a, which governs the procedure to reinstate a case after dismissal for want of prosecution, requires the court to conduct a hearing even if the party does not ask for one.
See "Hearing/' ch. 10-F, §7, p. 956. Hearing requested. If a rule authorizes a hearing for the receipt of evidence and the J)81'f1 isb for a hearing, the court must conduct one. For example, when a party objects to a legislative continuanceiott due-process grounds, the trial court cannot refuse the party a hearing. Waites v. Sond«t, 561 S.W.2d 772, 776 (Tez.1977). §4.3
Submitted on pleadings & proof.
Courts tend not to hold full evidentiary hearinp in open ceurt for moat pretrial matters. Michiana Easy livin 'Country, Inc. v. Holten, 168 S.W.3d m, 782 (T~005).
The Supreme Court encourages the submission of written proof when testimony and evidence can fairly resolve factual issues. 5ft id at 782-83.
The Rules of Judicial Administration approve the submission of motions on written pleadings instead ofby a personal appearance for a hearing.
See TRJA 1(a)(6)(b);Koalou,~ o. lltlCMe. 79&8.W.2d 708,703 (Tex.1990).
Some motions requiring evidence may be submitted on a verified motion and affidlmta, without onl testimony.
PRACTICE TIP
If in doubt whether a particular motion may be submitted on the pleadings, file a writlM a,,Nment stating that the parties agree to submit the motion for a ruling basBd <>n the motion, th, response, and the evidence attached to the motion and response.
Make sure the agreement meel3 the requirements of TRCP I I. See "Agreements Between Attorneys-Rule I I," ch. 1-H, §9, p. 73. §4.4 Telephone hearing.
The Rules of Judicial Administration pennit a telephone hearing on a motion instead of a personal appearance. TRJA 7(a)(6)(b); GulfCoa,t /no. o. NASA 1 Bu,. Ctr., 754 S.W.2d 152, 153 (Tex. 1988).
Some courts have adopted local rules permitting telephone hearings on motions that do not require evidence. E.g.,Xu v. Davis, 884 S.W.2d 916,918 n.2 (Tex.App.-Waco 1994, orig. proceeding) (Brazos County). §5. EVIDENCE FOR MOTIONS §5.1
Llve testimony.
When a motion requires live testimony at the hearing, the parties must present evidence with all the formalities of a trial-the witnesses must be sworn, and the documents must be identified on the record, authenticated, and admitted into evidence. Statements made by an attorney during the hearing are not evidence. See "Attorney's appearance before court," ch. 1-H, §5.2, p. 63.
