What would you have thought if the movie WISH had revealed that King Magnifico was just a magician who hoarded magic items, yet had no real magic of his own? He uses magical items to take wishes, but has no real magic of his own?

lets start with the acknowledgement that the magic system was really undeveloped in the movie, like we see Magnifico not only using his own powers but also making potions, so in a way he already uses a magic that isn't his own. we don't even see the limits of his magic. he grants wishes(honestly very vague even in this one), can make illusions and??

but if Magnifico obtained powers ONLY through magical items (and that he keeps it a secret.) it would honestly improve his characterization. because now there's a man who, on his own is normal but pretends not to be. in the ask isnt specified, so i assume he would still keep up his role as wish granter and making a show out of it. so now he's lying to his subject (and wife if we still want to keep the complete betrayal)

now i think the point is more of how it's written in the story if it's a point of conflict or just the type of magical system they live into. at the end Asha gets a wand, she can make magic with it but she still has no magic of her own. so it doesn't seem the people of rosa nor the movie has anything to say about the source of the magic. (except maybe the evil book titled evil magic that will eat your soul, but i digress) If Magnifico stays in power because of his magic, because either people want something from him (granted wishes), or are afraid of him. then, him not having magic on his own is a bigger deal, because if it's enough to have a few magic ingredients to have one's wish granted then you bet he'll be loosing power and control over the people who follow him just for the chance of seeing their dream come true. same with the people who might fear him for his magic, if he's not magical on his own he's easier to fight. and even asha finding out magnifico being just as human as everyone else would've been a better descent into paranoia for him and a better source of conflict imo than just Asha finding out he decides who gets their wish granted (like duh? who else was supposed to decide it if not the guy granting it?) then him using the evil book of evil magic would have been more organic with the story. he already uses magical items, so reaching for just another one isn't such a big deal. we can even see how the items he used weren't effective enough to track down Asha and star and how he needs the book to catch them,

so yeah in conclusion, if it was a source of conflict it would've improved the movie. deepened magnifico's character and motivations and made it more explicit his hunger for power. extra points if to obtain certain items he did villain typical stuff

Simon loves watching you. He gets major anxiety about you when he's away. To help with this, he installed security cameras in and around the house. When he gets the luxury of a WiFi signal, he'll check in on you. If you happen to see a little green light flash on while eating, relaxing, cooking, or any other mundane task, you'll offer him a smile and a wave. We all know Simon is physically fit, but that doesn't mean he has any type of expectation for you. He loves whatever you have to offer him, as long as you're in good mental and physical health (remember, being physically healthy comes in different shapes and sizes!) Busting through the window of the building, glass shattering in a hundred pieces. The men were slow to react, before they could even raise their guns. Dick and Tim’s batarang sliced through the air, disarming them with a clank.

The noise sent the other three into a panic. Two of them raced in guns blazing. They were clearly rushed, aim painfully sloppy.

Tim nods, Damian scoffs.

“And you didn’t think it was necessary to tell us?” Bruce’s voice is calm, his expression neutral. But Tim knows him—he was analyzing everything.

“I was going to tell everyone on patrol” he exclaims, hand clutching his side as he limps to his seat. “it’d be easier to come up with a plan together”

His reasoning seemed sound, but the family knew better.

“You’re not fit to go to school today” Bruce stated coldly, turning back to his meal.

Tim paused “But-“

”you’ll invite them over tomorrow.” His voice is final, he sets his coffee cup down with a quiet clink “I’m sure they’d love to meet the family.”

• that was the main reason why he was excited to finally meet you. the famous sister of his friend. he wanted to know how long will it take for you to became smitten and obsessed with him? ahh, just thinking about it makes liam so excited.

• as a yandere, liam was overbearing and posessive. gosh, this guy is unhinged and practically crazy. he's an emperor for the petesake! he killed his siblings to ascend to the throne. so don't expect that he's a nice guy!

• those times that he escaped the palace just to go outside and hook up with girls? yup, he stopped doing that for you. expect that while working, his eyes were focused on your every move. you talk to other guy other than him and warren? expect that he will be fired the next day. and why is that? well, it's your fault.

• he was now fine with you working in your pyjamas, you're so cute wearing that after all! but, in exchange he will increase your workload 10x because he knew that you always goes home after finishing your work, he just wants to spend the whole day with you!

• don't even think of quiting, darling. because liam will not let you to do so. unfortunately, he was able to wrap his pretty fingers around you with you being unaware of it. ahh, he just loves how clueless you are when liam fired all the male servants on his palace and replaced it with the female ones to make sure they you won't be able to flirt with them while working.

• all in all, liam is head over heels for you. he wants you for himself to the point that he spread the rumour about you being the next empress of the prestigious lobelia empire. just to shackle you by his side.

• but of course, your usual playful older brother doesn't like it at all. so be ready, because just like a prince on the fantasy stories that the two of you read before. he will do anything to save you, his precious little sister even if it means he needs to burn down the whole empire and kill liam for you. i mean, when you were a kid, you mentioned that you wanted to be a ruler. so just sit back and let your big brother, warren do the work <3.
