Goldwyn Studios on Santa Monica Blvd is a legendary Hollywood lot that is one hundred years old.
It’s one of several still-operating studios that was built during the silent film era. When it was first built, it was surrounded by fruit orchards and undeveloped farm land.
Throughout history this spot has been the headquarters for United Artists, Billy Wilder, Burt Lancaster, Aaron Spelling, and Quinn Martin Productions just to name a few.

“Oh, what a pompous ass. Terrible! The day before we started shooting, he and I happened to walk into a little coffee shop which was on the Goldwyn lot. I was very young at the time, and Victor Jory said, ‘Sonny Tufts is gonna do this picture, eh?’ Well, he’d better not take a drunk while he’s working, cause I’ll knock him on his fuckin’ ass!’ I remember thinking … what a thing to say!"

In the 1960s and 1970s it didn’t matter how shitty the television show was so long as it had a really great theme song. They tricked you into watching, but you couldn’t bail until you got to hear those rad end credits.
