•Greetings, I have written an essay addressing and debunking the misinformation written in DJ Conway’s book on draconic magic, “Dragon Magick: Call on the Clans to Make Your Practice Soar”, which presents the author’s personal truth about dragons and personal experiences with draconic spirituality as truth that every individual who practices draconic magic must follow and conform to. Far too many impressionable pagans who wish to work with draconic entities find themselves feeling guilty that their experiences with draconic spirituality do not match with the presented experiences of DJ Conway and other popular draconic magicians. This is simply not right, so I have decided to properly address the statements the author of “Dragon Magick: Call on the Clans to Make Your Practice Soar”wrongly presented as facts all dragons conform to. As a devoted draithconic practitioner, I wished to address the fact that experiences with draconic spirituality, and spirituality in general are incredibly unique, varied, and individual. Far more varied than what many authors on paganism and wicca present. Additionally, as someone who identifies as draconic, I also sought to debunk the statements the author of “Dragon Magick: Call on the Clans to Make Your Practice Soar” makes about those of us in the dragonkind community, stating that we in the dragonkin community are wrong about being non-human dragons and identifying as dragons.
