I'm asleep. I am. shh. but here's my thought for the day. the funniest possible future career path for kai would be security guard at the DII
#like. they'd never. but also. I'm kind of in love with it as a concept#''do you think they'll stop stealing our fucking shit if we pay them''#you fools! it's not about the money#i mean its a little bit about the money#like if someone wants to pay them an exorbitant amount of money to heist some weird shit they're not gonna say no#i think kai would have certain moral issues with preventing DII thefts. what with how the DII currently operates#some tweaks to the DII's priorities? some fundamental changes to procedure? and maybe kai could vibe#but not currently#but yeah it would b fucking funny though#n they would be really good at it#like#they know all the gaps in security n how it all operates. they'd be so fuckin good at preventing DII crimes if they weren't like.#actively encouraging them#possible outcomes:#1. the DII eventually becomes something that operates somewhat competently and that kai can vibe with#2. kai fuckin weasels their way into a security job there for the sole purpose of it being easier to rob them#3. joke scenario where security guard kai sees some folks up to clearly dodgy shit and just like. stops them and gives them pointers n#just sends them on their way#listen. kai is of the belief that if you can rob the DII you should rob the DII. and they're right#shane madej voice: ''hey. look. steal from the department of interdimensional instabilities. do it''
