Hi. I found The Art Of Burning that you wrote roughly this past week. I’m somewhere at the chapter early-30-something, as of rn. If you don’t mind me asking, do you have like a general update schedule for TAOB?? I’m asking that rn because I feel that where I’m at rn with that isn’t a bad place to stop. I’ve cried multiple times reading The Art Of Burning, I’ve felt sick reading some parts of it, which I almost or possibly never have felt before when reading, and the thought of leaving on a cliffhanger if it’s a particularly painful 1 is something that I kinda want to avoid, at least for rn. Zuko just had his 1st healing session with Katara in the chapter that I most recently read of TAOB, that seems like a decent place for me to stop, at least for rn. I was considering waiting until it was closer to being completely published, for me to read those next chapters, which is why I’m asking whether you have a TAOB update schedule, or not, rn. It’s all g if you don’t. It’s kinda like, ya know, if I decide to wait, I don’t want to set unrealistic expectations. No rush, of course. I generally try not to expect fics to get completely published at all. Like, is 1 chapter every 6-ish months unrealistic for TAOB?? Like, with chapters as emotional as TAOB, I wouldn’t be surprised if 1 chapter took longer than 6-ish months to write. I’ve stuck with fanfics that I love that have updated less frequently than that. Also, if there is no TAOB schedule, that’s fine.

I love The Art Of Burning, and so far, as of rn, it’s made me cry, multiple times, it’s made laugh, and it’s even made me feel sick. Even if TAOB never gets another chapter published, thanks for publishing what I’ve read, as of rn, of The Art Of Burning.

hi bestie thank you for sending this in such a nice way! it's a bit silly how few interactions ive had about updates that have been actually civil and acknowledge that im a Human Person and that taob is actually pretty emotionally draining on me just bc of how much goes into it, so thank you.

as for a schedule, im afraid there isnt one and if im being honest with you, the chapters are likely to continue having long breaks in-between updates. im getting a degree atm and that's not to mention balancing a social life with aforementioned Emotional Drain, so taob tends to take a while and i prefer it that way if that's what it takes to keep the quality up. however, if you want a good place to stop, id say the most recent chapter (ch42) is quite a nice ending? there's no cliffhanger and it's pretty heartwarming, but it's up to you if you want to continue or not!
