Shostakovich - piano concerto no.2 2nd mvnt died 50 years ago this year, let's celebrate
Keep reading for more
Shosta - Jazz waltz no.1 1st mvnt we've all heard jazz waltz 2 but this one's a fun play on the theme too
Shosta - The bolt 3rd mvnt lol fun trombone part
Shosta - The gadfly suite 5th mvnt such a jolly tune I just think it's cute. Not normally Shostakovich style
Joaquín Rodrigo - Concierto de Aranjuez 2nd mvnt beautiful guitar concert muwah
Carl Orff - Carmina Burana: fortune plango vulnera / Ego sum abbas / Floret Silva / ave formosissima I mean, everyone's heard o fortuna but these are fun too
Camille Saint Saëns - cello concerto no. 2 2nd mvnt crazy cello playing going on here
Saint Saëns - symphony no. 3 3rd mvnt pretty cool, love a organ
Richard Strauss - An Alpine symphony the whole thing is a banger. Fun to follow along with the titles of each mvnt cuz it's like youre climbing the mountain hehe
Again if anyone has recommendations id love to hear em :)
compilation of my favorite classical music moments bcuz I want to and can
Been a fan of classicla music since early childhood when my grandma played Eine kleine nachtmusik by Mozart (not the biggest fan of him anymore. Presonally i think he's overrated lol)
This will probably be a long post so it's all under the cut
Alexander Borodin - Polovtsian dances from "Prince Igor" 3:37 when the choir comes in. I get chills every time but then at 7:05 the mood changes and it suddenly feels so whimsical
Antonin Dvorak - From the new world .4 0:16 can you hear the brass section giving it their all? you better cuz damn
Camille Saint-Saens - Danse macabre love this whole piece to death one of my faves but 1:30 just hits different
Edvard Grieg - Piano concerto .1 the beginning is just so powerful i love it. But also at 1:39 when the piano picks up and the build up to 3:58 is soooo good
Frederic Chopin - Winter wind You wanna hear a beat drop i classical music? look no further than 0:24
Gustav Holts - Mars, the bringer of war I adore the planets and this is one of my faves. It really is the bringer of war but the build up to 4:19 is amazing
Gustav Holts - Jupiter, the bringer of jolly My absolut favorite planets piece. So fun, so dramatic and dynamic but the part at 4:30 just gets me
Tchikovsky - none but the lonely heart. 6 Hands down, my all time favorite ever. It's so emotional and simply beautiful. But the climax that starts at 2:11 gives me chills every time i listen to it
Tchikovsky - Piano concerto .1 Beatutiful start. I love the begining of this one but listen to 2:22 and tell me you didn't feel something
Tchikovsky - Swan lake, lake in the moonlight everyone has heard this one but it's damn good and the part between 2:00 and 2:30 ish will never not be good
Samule Barber - Adagio for strings this one is so god damn emotional it feels so gutteral in some way. 4:50 to 5:08 ish is such a good climax to this piece
i could go on for days but for now, that's it
