1 year old brakes, done by a handyman before the pandemic. Now, occasional massive squeaking when braking (very noticeable at a drive-through restaurant where the sound bounces off the wall). Took it in to a shop, within 15 min. The guy said they look fine, didn’t charge me (I had already said I wanted them replaced). Sound suspect or should I get a 2nd opinion? Did I just gift horse good mouth news or am I correct in being concerned? last year I (had to) ignore squeaking brakes until I lost the ability to brake ENTIRELY.

Was nice not spending money though.

After a whole month of soul searching, finally I reached a conclusion.

Ayun, sobrang naging inactive netong nakaraang buwan.  I was searching for my purpose, enjoyment, fulfillment, at yung gusto kong maachieve na something that will benefit the next generation.

Eto yung ilan sa mga narealize ko:

*Regardless of how much I hated the power-hungry people in corporate world because of my experience, gusto ko pa rin maexperience yung may isang beses sa isang buwan ako mag OT para sa work (syempre yung bayad). Gusto ko ulit pumasok ng office kasi sayang naman yung naturo sakin sa eskwelahan.

*Kailan ng consistency sa tumblr, youtube, at gaming.  Ngayong sobrang free pa ng oras ko, kung hindi ko magawan ng consistency, pano pa kapag may full-time work na ako.

*I really love Crush, pero ayoko na magmukhang dependent sa kanya, yung tipong mukha akong attention seeker.  Duda ko nairita na rin yun sakin.  At saka nakakatuwa lang din, kasi feeling ko kasama ko siya sa lahat, sa laro, sa stocks market, at sa pagshare minsan ng mga experiences namin for the whole week <3

*Still may libog pa rin sa katawan ko, and I’m still fapping every night.  As much as I want to stop this para hindi ko masaktan si Crush (assumero hahahaha), I have to realize that I should acknowledge it first that it is existing in me.  Once done, I need to acknowledge that I can’t remove it on my own.  I need God who can remove and restore every thing seen and unseen.

*I have to be intentional with every of my action from now on.  Or else, magiging active lang ako sa simula, tapos pagsasawaan ko after ilang weeks.

Another good thing happened today is nakalaro ko si Zane, si Bert, at si Crush (sabihin ko na pangalan niya hahaha - Mary Ann <3 )

Recently was gifted an old book I had a copy of when I was very young. It was some second-handed silly joke book from some novelty rack in the 70′s. I lost it sometime in a move but I used to read it all the time when I was just learning to read and I thought I’d discuss it before I looked at it proper (this photo is from the internet). It was a trashy little book filled with cartoons and text from the ‘oh them drunk hillbillies’ aspect of comedy back then. We’ll see if it stands up.

THINGS I REMEMBER:

* city reporter asking sexy hillbilly lady what she thinks of ‘Red China’ she replies: “it would look good on a YELLER table cloth”. one of my most solid memories.

* grotesque drunkard playing with pigs nipples. pig seems okay with it.

* hillbilly dad to son, overlooking massive trash heap = “Someday this will all be yours!” because you see, a gargantuan trash heap is not something usually desirable.

*a hillbilly so drunk on XXX that his toes curl. 

*some outhouse joke. regarding a sears catalog? I am SURE there are a couple of outhouse jokes.

*booby pretty hillbilly gals. not so pretty hillbilly wives.

I am disappointed that more memories are lost to time. Not that it was FORMATIVE as a youth, but I did spend a lot of time trying to figure out what the heck was going on. I knew enough of what hillbillies were by then (beverly, and such as cartoons) but the experience of READING and BAD JOKES was something I savored. I should sit here longer and see if anything comes to mind before I refresh my memory. But when I get around to it I’ll update and maybe get some photos of it. Many of the above memories may fall under being traumatized. That pig nipple thing bothers me still. SORRY ANIMAL LOVERS.

This is an update to climate science that many researchers would describe as a “game changer”, but it doesn’t seem to have fully entered the mainstream discussion around climate change.

While evidence from climate models used to indicate that a large amount of warming would be “locked in” even after we stopped emitting CO2, more accurate and updated models now strongly suggest that warming will level off much faster than expected once we reach net zero CO2 emissions.

“It is our best understanding that, if we bring down CO2 to net zero, the warming will level off. The climate will stabilize within a decade or two. There will be very little to no additional warming. Our best estimate is zero.”

This is, of course, extremely hopeful news because it means that reaching net zero emissions would be a massive, massive step in stabilizing the climate and halting climate change, potentially without additional warming locked in after the fact.
