maybe it's because i only saw a little bit of the originals and what i saw i Didn't like but the only elijah ships i've ever Really been drawn to were elijah/jenna and elijah/damon .. but the Drama of elijah/jackson would be so much fun to write tbh

   CASEY WAS REACHING OUT FOR ONE OF THE FLOWERS.   it was his house, his garden, if they were getting down to specifics. the mikaelsons were here by his permission, though it wasn’t as if he could revoke that. still, he listened as leah’s command rang out, stepping back from the flower bed.   (and really, he can’t help the smile on his face either).   not that he did it intentionally, but sometimes pushing buttons was fun. as long as he didn’t get killed because of it. 

   “SORRY, I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO GIVE TO EYAN.”   with the new turn of events, and garret no longer looking for him in this specific location thanks to elijah, he was free to at least see his soulmate, no matter how brief.   “buying something seemed like such a waste when i paid for these flowers. and also this house. which includes this garden.”   casey grins, putting his hands up in surrender.   “i won’t, i promise.”

"THE ONLY PATH FORWARD you ever see is one of violence, Niklaus," Elijah spoke, his voice even as he watched his brother carefully. "I've never seen you suggest anything that didn't consist of it." And maybe Klaus wasn't wrong, but that didn't really change the fact of the matter. Didn't stop what he said from being true. When the only path Klaus ever chose was violence, it wasn't like there were ever any other options.

"ARE YOU CERTAIN that's something you want to tell me, Katerina?" The skepticism in his voice is clear, one of his eyebrows quirking up as he eyes her. "You do remember who my brother is, don't you?" It doesn't change the fact that he knows her - that finding her has never been an issue as much as she probably believed it to be. No, hunting her has always been Klaus' goal, but while Elijah never stopped him, he'd never helped his brother either.

"I DON'T THINK YOU HAVE TO BECOME ANYTHING. You already are," Elijah hummed, voice light as he turns the page of his book. While to some, the barb could almost be considered harsh, the way Elijah says it makes the words almost a sort of endearment. Not that he would admit that, of course. "Have you given much thought to the title of rapscallion? I don't think it's used nearly as much as it should be, these days."

There are too many other things to worry about, to many pieces of plans in motion to worry about someone else's silly little crush. It was the last thing he needed to think about right now. "WONDERFUL." It's clear from the tone in his voice that it's anything but. His face remains mostly blank as he stares, unimpressed, in her direction. If he had his way, they wouldn't be in the situation - the last thing in the world he wants to do is be stuck here for the night with her, but it's not like he really seems to have much of a choice. "Try not to freeze to death. I don't feel like putting your guard dogs in their place tomorrow." The Salvatore brothers had a tendency to get on his nerves at times, after all. It always seemed to him that they messed things up.

“a flower crown? really?”     DESPITE HIS WORDS, ELIJAH MADE NO MOVE TO REMOVE IT.     he found it ridiculous, sure, but he didn’t really hate it enough to remove it from it’s spot atop his head. “how long did you waste on making that?”     it was a trend he’d never understand, no matter how hard he tried.     “too much, i’m sure.”
