see the thing w zerith is they kiss each other but aerith kisses tifa (and sephiroth) and zack also kisses cloud andthey just accept this as their normal and chat abt their respective spouses frequently.

i think at her core aerith is lonely it's lonely being the only one left who can hear the planet it's lonely being shinra's plaything it's lonely missing her mother it's lonely to be aerith and she tries so hard to fill all the little gaps that she can but she'll always always forever be some inhuman thing.

the way i write aerith is super special to me tbh...... i love letting her be just a touch masculine while still embodying femininty wholly. she's proof you dont have to be perfect to be a woman.

tbh og aerith will always be my go to for writing... theres some things i dont like abt her portrayal in the remake and i feel like they were trying to make her more. catty and independent but like she was already independent as hell she didnt need to be outright mean sometimes.

aerith being trans is rlly important to my portrayal btw <3 it affects how she carries herself and the people she trusts and her history and relationship with shinra and its just SUUUPER important. she is trans and she navigates being a woman based on that.
